. . . well. . . you could: A. take up someone's offer (obviously) or B. not spend it, and wait until you see something you want (which will 9/10 be expensive). So everybody wins!

you can buy donated items and save them up.. till the price of them goes high and sell them out to gain gold. you might get to earn gold that way...
