we were supposed to go next year for my japanese class, but my teacher just HAS to get pregnant now and not be able to go. It was pretty much the only reason I signed up for the class...

I've been to Takasaki with my mom and we stayed at her friend's house. Then after a week or so, we rode the train to Tokyo and we went to Repungee (I don't know how to spell it...)
It was fun. And crepes are really good.... I was lucky my mom can speak pretty fluent Japanese though.

I'll probably be going in the next few years. My school has a sister school there (not in Tokyo, unfortunately), and we do exchange programs every couple of years. I'll probably host a student, and go there. biggrin
I'm excited, and really hoping I get to go. My family hosted a Japanese student (different program) a couple of years back, and if I went on this trip, I could visit her, which would rock, because she's like an older sister to me. biggrin

They take badminto seriously there....
Which makes sense, takes up less space than tennis.
