Yeah, Canadians were friendlier. I mean, just the way they drive is a major difference.
For instance... You could just jump into the road in a jaywalk, and the cars would stop, giving you a friendly wave. No honking, no middle finger, just a wave and they're on their way. In the U.S.? It's dangerous enough just using the crosswalk!
My theory is that Tim Horton's mixes some friendly juice in with that dougnut dough.

I went on a 4months exchange to Ireland last year. 31 flying hours from Melb, AUS to Galway, IRL. And the only other time I had been on a plane was to Tasmania which is 50mins lol I had a ball but I do regret a few things that I did/didn't do now. I was stuck in the middle of nowhere (literally) and had no-one to hang around with. I did my own travel in my last two weeks though. Went up north to Belfast, south to Cork and east to Dublin. Best two weeks of my LIFE!!! I'm defiantely goin back there and hoping to be able to do an exchange if I get into Uni too...

I have been wanting to study in England, but It's so expensive. To go there in the first place is costly, then there are other expenses to consider. Lesson: if you want to study abroad, save up the money.

My parents would love for me to spend a semester abroad, but they are not sure about when there is the "host family." My friend spent a semester in Germany and she almost never left the house.
