Day # 015 Theme: Spirit Challenge DTIYS part 1 Time spent: errrr 2-3 hours  Comments: Somehow the background, snake & skin colour are too similar in my version compared to the avi... I definitely need to darken the background. *10 min pause* I added another layer to the background & I'll let it dry, but keep this version above for the day's entry rolleyes

Day # 016 Theme:Spirit Challenge 01 part 2: DTIYS (xAmalgamationx) Time spent: ~2hours  Comments: I don't know where the yellow came from on the face, edge of the brush from previous mixing?!? gonk Also originally didn't do a skin colour, then outlined it, then decided to do a skin colour & it smeared the outline pen, so sorry! crying

Day # 017 Theme: Love Letter Time spent: ~50mins  Comments: Wow, my handwriting is terrible, I really should have practised this!!! sweatdrop lol Did have fun using my glass dip pen (bday/xmas present from 2 years ago!) heart And also first time using my wax seal stamp! 4laugh Lover letter is an excerpt of one by Oscar Wilde, I ran out of room near the end, so skipped a bit. The paper is an envelope, sometimes we get pretty ones posted at work & I take them! ninja

Day # 22 Theme: Medusa Time spent: ~30mins  Comments: Just a sketch today - while original Medusa was greek, I liked the idea of drawing her like she had snakes styled like braids/dreadlocks? Oh dear gods the amount of times one eye was too low or too high & chins? How have I forgotten to do a non-anime not pointy chin?? xd

Day # 023 Theme: Draw with your eyes closed Time spent: 30mins  Comments: So I drew in my sketchbook, then realised it was only 15mins, so drew on scrap paper with an actual plan. I limited myself to 4 markers & a pen. In the RHS of sketchbook, there are 2 ducks & 2 rabbits. LHS is a face....the long bits on each side are reeds/flowers not her hands! So on the scrap paper, there is a deer...and 2 rabbits. Except I had to leave briefly so I turned my paper over, and when I came back I flipped it the wrong way so now there's stars in the grass & a rabbit poking out of the trees!! lol

Day # 024 Theme: Style Challenge: Ink Wash Time spent: ~45mins  Comments: So I have this chinese brush painting kit... really cool ink stick & ink stone pad heart I didn't use the brushes - too bristly now - but brown one in pic is wolf hair & the white one is goat hair! I used my waterbrush. Also because this isn't watercolour paper, the paper kept absorbing the water & drying out too quick so I had to move fast! Used a tutorial for an idea of what to do.

Day # 025 Theme: Hospital Time spent: ~1 hour  Comments: I'll do the proper outlining once it's dry - on one of those finish a theme days. So this is St. Senan's Hospital. Was an asylum first, became a psychiatric hospital later. ...so we used to joke if you did something silly/mad etc you'd be going to St. Senan's! It's been closed since mid-2010s, they're going to do it up & turn it into apartments iirc? It is a pretty building outside though! I think I spent most of that time with greens doing layers of stippling-ish & now you can't see most of it! lol
