Day # 15 Theme: Spirit Challenge part1 Time spent: 2 1/2 hours  added DTIYS on piece 2/18/24 Comments: Please note his hair is lower back length. He has 3 beaded bracelets (pink aventurine and lapis on one wrist, mookaite on the other) and a green aventurine gemstone necklace. His hair usually isn't in his face, that was just for the pose really. Scythe is optional

Day # 16 Theme: Spirit Challenge p2 Time spent: 40min Comments: I was planning on drawing all pen and ink, but I got this far and despite using a ruler and compass everything still looks wonky and lopsided so at some point I'm dragging it into clipstudio and fixing it, gomen Taku emotion_facepalm

Day # 17 Theme: Artemis and ferret Time spent: 30min Comments: So I started this cool idea I had with the moon and I was gonna do like a zentangle thing with different symbolism for Artemis, like the hunting dogs and the stag and the moon and bow and arrow and the constellation of Orion....but then I skipped pencil sketching and went straight in with pen and....then drew a ferret to buffer out the last couple minutes I had after completing the abomination I couldn't salvage emotion_facepalm lesson of the day: don't go straight into pen when you barely have a plan the little pencil doodle at the bottom is the idea I had for the concept after I made a huge mess.

Day # 18 Theme: Zinnia Time spent: 41 min Comments: *says not to go in with pen straight off the bat day before* *does it anyways and actually likes the results this time* Or it's cuz I don't care cuz my brains occupied with being stupidly nervous and dissociative due to wisdom tooth surgery in 14 hours. Was gonna draw 4 flowers but stopped at 3 cuz ******** are so far out the window they are in china rn

Day # 19 Theme: Color challenge Time spent: 34min Comments: I struggled sleeping last night so at some point when I was awake at odd hours of the morning I drew this on my phone. idk I kinda like it for a phone sketch, and I did get back to sleep soon after so maybe it helped my nerves Time to get ready for doom burning_eyes omfg I just realized how tiny her ear is emotion_facepalm

Day # 20 Theme: improve/finish Time spent: 30min Comments: I'm still kinda messed up from yesterday's bullshit at the dentist, my neck is swollen on the front and sides from coughing badly, and cramped in the back from sleeping on it wrong so sitting up with no neck support is not fun rn. I spent 30mins on the hair just to hate it.

Day # 22 Theme: Yarrow Time spent: 1 hour Comments: When I looked up from my paper my timer was at an hour. An. Hour. I couldn't believe it. A whole hour? For this? it's barely 1/4th the size of my page! And we keep comparing ourselves to the old art we did. Some of us are a little embarrassed at how far we've fallen behind because we took nearly 2 years off from art. Have our skills gotten that rusty? Admittedly our skills vary from one to another, but our experience so far doing art this year is really showing us a lot that we didn't know about where we were in terms of muscle and skill memory. Mental health s**t sucks lol

Day # 26 Theme: Spirit challenge dress up p1 Time spent: about 4 hours Comments: The hands and feet got kinda funky cuz I was trying to cobble together so many different pose and body references to get the right proportions for him. The anatomy is kinda screwed up too.
