Wren listened carefully to Sub's explanation of the plan for the day's activities and followed them as best he could. Tossing out his hoverboard, the barefoot businessman would follow along until they spotted the trio of Roto-drones nested together up ahead. When Sub gave the directive for him to be one of the those who went to lay claim to one of them, he nodded in understanding. His first thought was to grab one of his heavy-hitters like Thistle or Hellebore but he realized almost immediately that that wouldn't help him as much as he might think since he couldn't Channel with either of them and Hellebore was still Shadowfied, anyway.
Upon reaching the drone and seeing it's number, he would quickly tap it with his Challenger's Band and begin searching through his available options. His eyes fell upon three right away and, while he'd like Hemlock or Aconite, he wasn't sure which was his true channeling partner for the first channeling move he had learned so he decided that his safest best for the moment was going to be...
"Nutmeg! Stomp!" He called as the Nest Ball landed in his hand, hurling it into the Smokescreen Sub had dived into only a moment before. Just as quickly, he had called upon the Queen's Heels and was jumped across the space between himself and his Pokemon like a grasshopper. Upon reaching the smoky cover, Nutmeg caught him and spun him around with he as she leapt into the air. Flipping in the air, she sent her trainer hurtling toward the ground, aiming to land on the back of the Altaria moments before he own tiny feet aimed to stomp into it's back.
Whether the Grass Channeler hit his target or not, he would use the compression of landing to empower his springy jumps and aimed himself to take the old woman off her feet as he tackled her, as carefully as one can when launched off a hydraulic spring. He wanted her incapacitated, after all, not dead.

The ghostly flames of the Inferno washed over the protective shield conjured by Rala, the flames feebly sweeping over for the Protect the Snagems behind it feeling little more than a warmth. Next came Beau gliding over the field, the Chandelure hybrid looking up befuddled before noticing the Powder he was releasing, his eyes coming wide as he looked back at his elderly teammate but alas Terashi was not done with him and would not allow him to stop Beau as Simon popped up out of the ground and swiped at his feet, the claws passing through its ghostly form but the Ground energy behind the attack flowing into its form causing him considerable pain as he let out a pained scream before the exploding Powder found its way back to him, engulfing the hybrid and likely the Drilbur that attacked him.
In that same moment Leon made his own move, Koffing assaulting Altaria with a Sludge Bomb before unleashing another Smokescreen, the Altaria and its trainer preparing to retaliate as the smoke crept back over the field but alas neither they would have a chance to do anything as Ulla's Mimikyu came rushing in to assault them followed by Nutmeg's springy stomp and keep them occupied. The timing of the Smokescreen would help conceal Beau's Powder as he flew over head and seconds later the Powder would be ignited resulting in a massive detonation, the Smokescreen blown away in the blast but it mattered not. After the dust settled Altaria could be seen knocked out cold and the elderly trainer standing just outside of the explosion looking confused, Nutmeg standing by her, having kicked her out not only to incapacitated her but also sparring her the wrath of the explosion.
Soon after Kadabra and Roto-drone would appear next to the elderly trainer. The drone would declare her defeat, the woman recalling her Altaria before taking them all away. A Wishing Piece was left behind in her place.
As for Ulla's Mimikyu it stood in the midst of the wreckage from the blast looking perfectly fine, save for its disguise's head leaning to one side, its Disguise broke. No big deal considering they just took out another trainer swiftly. Speaking of, where did the Chandelure hybrid go?
Carlson, the Chandelure hybrid, was attempting a retreat, utilizing rocket-like flames from its hands and feet to fly just a few feet off the ground, the hybrid looking a little rough from the explosion but was largely fine thanks to its Flash Fire absorbing some of the resulting flames and empowering him. Amaranth's Dodrio was in hot Pursuit, the hybrid knowing good and well it wouldn't be able to escape the bird as it rapidly closed in. But maybe, just maybe it had time to make it towards his target; Sub was dragging his ally, the Chandelure hybrid reeling one hand back and unleashing a Flash Fire empowered Flamethrower at Sub, knowing the Rock Channeler would be largely fine but not fleshy Sub. Right after it fired off the Flamethrower Dodrio would pounce him and deliver a flurry of Pursuit pecks, the Chandelure hybrid taking another super effective hit. While being pecked the hybrid would grab a hold of one of the bird's legs and began to rob it of its vitality with Pain Split before attempting to roll away and run off on foot.
Sub would be forced to jump off his Hoverboard and release the Escape Rope as the Rock Channeler became far too heavy to drag for much longer, the Dark One snatching up his board and watching as the Channeler picked herself up, now covered in a layer of small rocks making her look like a Golem or something. That's when he spotted her Pokemon, an actual Golem digging its way out of the ground, having clearly been in hiding somewhere before he came along. Next she would release a Probopass, the woman then taking out a strange looking mallet, clearly her artifact, and with a sweeping gesture would cause Probopass's 'mini-noses' to glow and chunks of rock to rise up out of the ground. The rock chunks would soon take on the same appearance as the mini-noses, now a total of six mini-noses rather than two.
With another gesture the mini-noses were now positioned in a circle around them, Sub eying them with suspicion. "Magnet Bomb, Probopass." The Rock Channeler ordered, Sub's going wide as he noted all six mini-noses were charging up and preparing to fire off the unavoidable attack. That's when he saw the Flamethrower coming from directly behind the rock covered smiling Channeler. "Hans, Endure!" The man ordered. He didn't know who they were targeting with the Magnet Bombs but that Flamethrower would surely consume them both. Hans will be okay as it braced itself but Sub needed to protect himself as he released Pelipper and ordered it to Soak him, the bird dousing him in water in preparation from the incoming flames, unless they were stopped. As for the Magnet Bombs they were finally fire off in a flurry of confusion targeting not just Hans but Sub and Pelipper too.

Well, the good news: We managed to each successfully cash out on a Pokemon and get a good number of KOs, at least I'd think in the grand scheme of things amongst ourselves. The bad news, despite the three of us having a strategy in trying to conserve our Pokemon knowing that we'd have to get back in the bigger fight ahead, the strategy ended up getting up ended. Our rotation strategy only worked when we can at the very least consistently quickly overpower whatever opponent we come across, rather it be with a strong Pokemon like Freth's Hitmonchan, or try to work with weaknesses like I had tried to do with Torchic, or simply outmaneuver like what Tristen and his Eevee tried to pull off. After the end, I was the only one that had a fresh Pokemon on hand in Articuno. The captures that we made, let alone the Pokemon we used to make those captures and other KOs in the process were not in the best of shape. Freth's Hitmonchan may be the better off, namely in him being the vampire with his Drain Punch. Torchic and Eevee, however, doesn't have that kind of luxury, and it wasn't like we could just simply run to the nearest Pokemon center either.
In short, the three of us needed to start to hunt down Roto-beacons to pull out yet another Pokemon in our respective entourages. This was the third day and all the stops were pulled out for all involved. While we actively tried to avoid a Dynamax fight during the safari, we may have no choice now just to get those Wishing pieces, let alone to punch out any particular trainer that we may come across. We were gambling on a lot here...
For right now, I'd end up escorting Freth and Tristen to Roto-beacons, since I had the proverbial big gun on hand. Once I knew the two would be fine, we'd be able to rejoin the rest of the party and raise hell.

"Funny running to you three, yeah?" A familiar voice would come. Ryan had just left the Safari area as well, with Lillie in tow. "Probably the best if we all stuck together, plus, my skills work well in combination with all three of you." Ryan says to theem.

Blizz, Ryan, and the others would have a few minutes to meet up and chat, to regroup and see where everyone was currently standing. After awhile though at least one of the four gathered would spot a flash of light as five Roto-beacons activate and lit up the sky with pillars of light, three blue and two red, meaning three Pokemon and two items can be withdrawn. South Lake Miloch, that is where the light was coming from, the drones likely hovering just over the lake. The problem? Giant's Seat was on the other side, the camp site of Team Johto if Arkelos's scouting was correct. It would be a fight for those drones most certainly but how could they pass up so many drones in one place? Besides, if they could pull it off they might be able to knock out some Johtonians and get their Pieces and Stars. Though even that was a risk.
If they chose to rush for the five drones over South Lake Miloch the group would spot members of Team Johto immediately, five of them in all, one more than themselves. A familiar young girl with with a bulbous white hair and brown hair was riding her newly evolved Azumarill across the lake and a man sporting sunglasses and his sleeves ripped off alongside her as he Surfed on the back of his Tauros. Questioning the physics of this action were pointless.
In the air a red haired young man rod on the back of a large Crobat, a rather stern look on his face. Besides the three humans there was but two hybrids among. A male teenage Jynx hybrid skipped across the lake, patches of ice forming with each elegant step, their stylish ponytail swaying in the breeze. The second hybrid was perhaps the most troubling member of the entire group to Blizzard, he needed no introduction, it was none other than Horus, the Xatu hybrid making a made dash through the air for the drones, though ever alert of his surroundings. They would certainly be detected by Horus so they would have to act quick and decisively.

So he had someone to rely on after all. I guess all fine and dandy, I suppose...though...Lillie? Who was that? Question for another time, I guess. "Fine, I'll hold you to it." I said. As I tried to plot our next plan, Ryan brought to attention the beacons from a distance. "Let's go."
As we rushed for them, my instincts tripped, a powerful presence amongst a few others. I took notice and I couldn't help but to grimace. "Oh son of a..." I said. Of all the people that I really didn't need to see here, it was him. Horus. I guess in the grand scheme of things, I couldn't be too surprised. He has been part of competitions before, usually with some ulterior motive if a competition back in the Sevii Islands years ago was any indicator. Now that I think about it, I haven't dealt with him SINCE then...and while I'd like to believe we've all taken leaps and bounds in experiences and such, I'd have to wonder about Horus, now.
"Blast it, I did not need that today." I said.
Tristen would catch attention to what I saw, apparently overwhelmed with a whole bunch of thoughts suddenly, remembering his own experiences with the likes of Horus; and none of them good. But like me, he came down to the same realization of what we all dealt with since last time. Tristen was...pretty much a whole other person now...Tristen started to debate considerably in silence.
"That Horus?" Freth asked.
"I think...so..."
With Ryan asking a plan of action, I shook my head. "I can probably still take Horus on my own, but I will admit that it will be an absolute headache to take on. Not to mention, I think...are those Jhoto colors? And betting anything he's pretty much one of their major cornerstones. The rest of you go after the rest of the group. I'll deal with Horus."
"Let me deal with Horus." Tristen spoke up.
"What?" This...was a bit surprising. "Why?"
"It feels like something I gotta do..." Tristen said.
"...you're not going on a whole redemption kick on me suddenly are you?" I asked, remembering that his experiences was him virtually being humiliated by Horus.
"Well-uh..."
"Tristen, now is not the time for that. Just go with Ryan and Freth and do some damage. I'll deal with Horus." Tristen wanted to say something; not escaping Freth's notice. "Just get to it." I said, rushing off after Horus.

As expected Horus had detected Blizzard and company well before any of them did, Psychics were problematic like that, almost impossible to sneak up on, especially one as powerful as Horus. The Xatu would not wait for Blizzard to arrive as he disappeared in midflight and Teleported back into existence just feet ahead of a rushing Blizzard, fist extended outward in prediction of where the Cold One's stomach would be thus allowing Blizzard to ram his own stomach into Horus's fist. "Good to see you again." He said before then blasting Blizzard away with his other hand with a Psychic.
Tristen and Freth would have their own company as the Jinx hybrid seemed intent on keeping them at bay, the young teen sliding a foot across the water and freezing it before spinning around and flipping backwards, kicking the chunk of ice up with the other foot in midair and sending it flying violently at one of them, switching target each time it sent another chunk flying as he executed an improvised and ranged Triple Axel.
The red head on the Crobat ignored the pair immediately and darted for one of the blue Roto-drones, reaching out with his Challenger's Band as he prepared to tap the drone marked with the number three as soon as Crobat brought him in range.
The Azumarill was slugged by the Clefairy, causing its trainer to lose its grip on the aquatic rabbit and fall into the lake, luckily she could swim. "Ack! Now I have to dry my hat out! Azumarill, Iron Tail!" The girl ordered, then proceeding to swim to the shore while Azumarill jumped into the air and with a flip brought its steel empowered orb tipped tail down on the Clefairy and send it flying into the lake as well.
Ryan would be surprised that for once his sneak attack didn't go as planned, the trainer pulling up on his Tauros's reins and the bull skidding around and barely dodging the Water Pulse, however with very quick reaction time. "Ahaha! You'll have to do better than that to get the jump on the Jet the Blur of Olivine!" If Ryan knew anything about the Pokethelon or was into that scene he would be familiar with Jet, he was a famous Pokethelon trainer, undefeated in his field, focusing on speed. With Tauros now resuming his charge towards the drones via Surf Jet would toss a ball into the water, the device popping open but not revealing what was inside. When James went to attack again the pair would find out what was inside as a Furret came springing out of the water to Sucker Punch James clear across the face with surprising strength behind its little fist and incredible speed, the Furret disappearing back into the water as soon as it appeared. Ryan was dealing with a speed master.

"Clefairy! get to shore!" Lillie would call out to her small fairy. Clefariy would start making its way back onto the beach.
~~~
Ryan and James were shocked. How did that not work? Ryan would increase the range and density of his Monstrous Mist to cover the area they were in. James would bounce back slightly towards Ryan. He would also call out Undine, his Primarina. "James, Aqua Ring. Undine, with me." Ryan says to his mons. Ryan and Undine would litter the mist with Melodic Bubbles. The trap was now set, now to draw in his opponent.
Beau would be on the entirely wrong side to be of any use in fending off the assault that was currently approaching Sub's position, so the Vivillon hybrid felt safe letting the others handle that particular mess. So instead, he took the opportunity as the Dodrio set to work on the Chandelure hybrid to draw out his sole Pokeball and crack it open. Looking down at the Seedot now by his side, Beau would look between him and the opponent he could actually reach with ease with a sense of trepidation. "Well.......explosions didn't work. And now everyone is too close to use bigger explosions. Pistachio, whatcha got for a plan beyond that?" Beau quizzed the Seedot, still attempting to figure out a plan even as he saw the Chandelure hybrid taking off to try and flee. Pistachio would look up at his trainer with a mild amount of indignation at the current denial of explosions before beginning to simply spin himself against the ground to vent his irritation.
Thankfully, that action provided just the nugget of remembrance for Beau to actually have an idea. Lining himself up to place the aggressively spinning Seedot between him and the Chandelure hybrid, Beau would dash towards Pistachio. "Rollout, Pistachio! And jump!" Beau called out, wings spreading wide as he flipped himself over to have his foot meet his now-aerial Seedot at the apex of his flip. Punting the increasingly volatile Seedot that was spinning at dangerous speeds towards the Chandelure hybrid, Beau would use his own deployed wings and momentum to send himself gliding towards the hybrid himself, although mostly it was keep himself able to keep returning the Rollout-trapped Seedot instead of letting him get to take out too much of his anger on the local wilderness.
