Danzik and Green Eosphoth

Eosphoth had always found the Feasts to be a bittersweet thing, and this time was no exception. Danzik, despite all of her roughness, had taken a lot of time to digest the unpleasant vacancy in the candidate's barracks. Some candidates gave the cot, now stripped down of all belongings that had been returned to the family, a wide berth. One young man who'd been mauled at the hatching stood at it with a look on his face that Danzik could only place as a struggle to understand something.

She'd beckoned young Papys over to her when the rest were gone to spend a few moments with him. It wasn't often someone died in front of you. The young man's feelings had been a lot more complicated than that, however, and what advice she had to give was....Danzik wasn't certain it had been very helpful.

Still, someone had to put on their best face for all of the candidates who were mourning their lack of luck this time around and after checking on A'ral to make sure he was holding up, she made her way from the barracks to linger by the doorway. Eosphoth had settled in the sands not far away, ready to offer any candidate who needed it a place under a wing to get their feelings out in privacy. It was so often needed, after all.

Mr Cheri
For Mention of Danzik checking in on A'ral before she headed out. Just to make sure he was holding up alright @ Metzli

E’roe & Brown Dhumavath (available if you feel like being with downers!)

There were plenty of reasons why Dhum wasn’t allowed near the Hatching, but E’roe always tried to make him be somewhat party ready for the Feast afterwards. But the beast was as morose as ever, and he complained all the while even as his rider tried to point out the silver linings.

“Astriana finally found Hers. We’ll be meeting them at the feast.”

< He won’t care about anyone but His, I’m sure. I certainly don’t. It would be a waste of time. >

“But you do like food, yes? There’s sure to be the best slices of wherry there, your favorite.”

< I recall you saying I was now on a diet. You called me fat. >

“Because you are, dear. But you can indulge a little, just this once. It’s a party.”

Dhumavath rumbled sullenly nonetheless. He would much rather sit in his sand wallow and look mournfully up at the stars, pondering the disdain they must hold for the land-bound. But E’roe was a champ at forcing him to move even when he didn’t want to (and that was all the time now), and so with a long sigh and a quick slick of the rider’s mustache, the pair eventually wandered to the feasthall. Or rather, E’roe did to look for his niece and her friends while Dhum snagged some choice pieces of meat and dragged them to a spot outside and away from the majority of the party.

He longed for Lebonnath’s company again. She used to make these events easier to swallow; maybe it was poetic then that Thread had swallowed her easily in turn, as if her kindness had invited it to. Now he was expected to be kind and courteous and happy for others when he had no energy to do it for himself, pleased others had found Theirs when his had been taken away. And there was nothing to be done about it except to wait it all out.

Stormy - 19, she/her

She had a dress this time. This did not mean she didn’t have dresses before—Western Weyr provided clothes for everyone without them—but she had a dress this time that she had found and tweaked herself. Although maybe it was less found and more given to her by an unfortunate rider who had been forced to wear it in his morning walk of shame, but it was a pretty thing that she intended to wear for the feast, regardless of its history.

There was a lot to celebrate this time for Stormy. Two of her friends had found their partners, right in front of her! She had been free to cry into her sleeve once Astri was away and no longer wiping her tears for her, and it was probably a good chance that she’d cry some more before the night was over. That was at least two dragons who might be okay with seeing her, assuming her friends vouched on her behalf to them. Stormy was utterly fascinated by the patterns this clutch wore, and she was eager to fill her sketchbook with pages of baby dragons again to see what she might make of them with fabric and cloth.

This interest was enough to distract her from finding her friends immediately. Of this clutch, several had taken her by the heartstrings, maybe the most from the one in the Daisy egg; she had been just a little sad that the deep thinker had been bronze and would never look her way. But it was coincidence more than intent that she found the green and her new rider first, as Stormy preferred to stay in the outer circle of guests and party goers unless she found an opportunity to sneak in. And she had to meet this darling now that she was free from her shell.

Clutching her sketchbook close, Stormy picked her way delicately through the crowd to reach them. “Um, I’m sorry to bother you,” she said, forgetting that she couldn’t speak at her usual soft pitch and repeating it louder. “I’m sorry, is it okay to meet you?” She remembered how quick the presence in the egg had touched and scampered back, and far be it from her to incite such skittishness in an already loud room. And while she didn’t personally know Kiri, she looked fierce enough that Stormy might turn skittish herself with one wrong move.

Veikel

For Veikel, the feast was an early breakfast. He'd managed to get some sleep before the hatching started, and with how the blood flowed (both in his veins, and the candidates on the sands) he was likely to be awake for the rest of the day. Or sevenday, depending on how serious a turn some of these children took. It had been a bloody hatching, sad to say, but for the most part there was plenty to rejoice about. His brother had Impressed, there'd been twin golds, and lots of other twins. It was a happy occasion.

One that had him scoping out the food, oblivious to much of anything else. A small blue tail snaked itself around the thick, dark braid that hung about his back; it was the only sign of a small creature that chirped sweet demands for snacks. A few bits of meat were handed to a tiny blue maw, and Veikel hummed contentedly as he debated which wares would be the first to be sampled. He really, really wanted to go bother his brother, but the fact remained he needed to be alert for injuries and everything else.

Besides, Nikal didn't need him anymore. Not that he needed him before, of course! But far less now. It was much, much better to give that space even if it made him want to cry like a baby. Easier to handle when one rips the bandage right off, yes?

Olliah & gold Fianth

The Hatching had been quite an affair for the visiting guest. While Zheria had insisted she go, as the Weyrwoman had attended prior Western Hatchings, Olliah understood the underlying reason; to report back if there were any problems or note worthy event, but above all else, to show how guests should attend. For the former, Olliah had quite a few opinions on what she witnessed, but she would keep such things to herself, For the latter, thankfully, the Weyrwoman Second wasn't here to hold a grudge; it wasn't hers style, and time had cooled matters. If anything, Olliah hoped to be nothing but a gracious guest, and to put the matter behind them. Both sides still needed one another, and she hoped she might show there was no linger ill will.

So, the dark haired woman had clothed herself in a rich red dress complete with with golden trim. She was not here to show off, no; she was here to be nothing but any other visitor. It wasn't her Weyr, it wasn't her clutch, and she desired nothing more than to celebrate and wish good fortune to the newest pairs. Some of them would no longer call High Reaches Weyr their home. One of the gold riders, even... Phyrana, that was her name, yes? And there were others still among them she knew. Fisher, the hearty woman had found her match fittingly enough at the beachside Weyr, and then there were a few faces she didn't know quite as well, like Lesta, Vesden, Melhaika and Hyseren; she seemed to recall Taibbi had stood for Fianth's clutch, and while she hadn't found Hers at High Reaches, it was clear she'd been needed a continent away. Though she didn't know any of them particularly well, the woman did hope to thank them for their service and time at High Reaches, and wish them well in their new home. Fianth would at least be able to point them out, and remind her of names if need be.

Stepping into the Dining Hall, she let her eyes dance over the patrons present. There were some faces she recognized, many more she didn't, and leaned upon Fianth for support. Even after all these Turns, she still sometimes felt a bit overwhelmed. Part of her wished to congratulate Vosin and F'ell on a successful Hatching.

She'd keep an eye out, certainly. For now, she'd head over to the lavish tables chalk full of food, and have a small sampling of the fair.

[Just placing some characters. Will toss them at folks after food is obtained.]

Adi and Blue Mazamath

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. This was not a time of night Adi often saw. The daylight hours were definitely her preference, and while she might occasionally stay up late, this was really late. Early-late. She'd been a little fuzzy-headed from the midnight wake-up when the Hatching had first started, but that had cleared quite quickly. All those twins! So much excitement! She didn't even care that she'd lost her bet. Not that it had all been exciting; there had also been tragedy. She tried not to linger on it, and pushed completely out of mind that it could just as easily have been someone she was close to.

It was easier to let her relentless optimism gloss right over it and focus on the adorable hatchlings, to be excited for the new weyrlings, and get ready for the Feast. After all, as long as she was up, she might as well eat, and dance, and see what interesting guests were here! Food, of course, was the first priority, and she swooped right in to pile a plate high with meatrolls, cheese, bread- oooh, was that chocolate? She was definitely coming back for that, among other things.

Adi crammed a meatroll into her mouth, plucked up a glass of wine, and went hunting for one friend in particular.

Outside, Mazamath was not nearly as awake as His, but was no less content, watching the comings and goings with interest. He kept an eye out for familiar faces, extending wordless but warm greetings to any friends, dragon or human.

Serfie almost didn't attend the hatching feast, another one she'd walked away from with no dragon, however she had gotten herself dressed into something nice and arrived once the party had started. She grabbed a large plate and piled it high with meats and other tasty things, filched a full bottle of wine from the tables and went and sat herself in a dark corner of the room, watching the new weyrlings with more than slight envy and a smidge of sadness, she was trying so hard to fit in, to be a good weyr person but seemed pointless when the baby dragons didn't want her. Serfie didn't normally drink, she pretty much stayed well away from it usually but she'd finally had enough, feeling worthless, she decided to give it a try, the first few sips did not taste good but after a bit, she got used to it. She eyed her strapped up wrist with bitterness, was she only good enough to be a punching bag for the baby dragons..... at least she hadn't DIED though...

((feel free to interact with slightly tipsy Serfie, she's a grump tho))

~~~~~~~~~~
Helane hadn't gone home with some of the other candidates and visitors from High Reaches, she'd stayed for the feast, she did love a nice big party. She reached the tables holding all the food and grinned widely with glee, YUM.... She picked carefully at the food, wanting to leave room for later on but also because she'd signed up to dance during the feast and didn't want to stuff herself silly and make herself sick. Still, she was happy, not as many fish dishes as she liked but the way the food was seasoned, prepared and laid out was so delicious. She would go thank the kitchenfolk if she could.
~~~~~~~~~~

Issoirath had been impatient from the moment he learned there was going to be a feast, what was a feast?, he'd plucked the memory from F'rell, (who held back the drunken moments) and learned enough to know about a party and dancing and things were fun and people looked at you, he'd fidgeted the whole time F'rell was getting dressed, he'd already made sure F'rell had oiled every ince of his hide.... TWICE... so that he practically gleamed like a Bronze. "Come on Mine.... it's startiiiiiing" he whined, dancing from foot to foot, impatient to go and be surrounded by people to look at him!

"okay okay.. hold your runnerbeasts Issoirath" he laughed, before looking down at himself, declaring himself ready, he went out, Issoirath prancing alongside him, wings tight to his body, tail up, you could even swear his very headknobs were pricked up, excited to attend.

"WE'RE HERE!, THIS PARTY IS OFFICIALLY STARTED!!" cried Issoirath, happiness colouring his eyes and tone as he declared to the entire gathering, people and dragons alike and he struck what he thought was an impressive pose, wings half pricked, stiff legged, tall as he could stand, teeth showing in what he deemed was a large grin. F'rell laughed happily, he couldn't believe this perfect Brown was HIS. He also struck a pose beside his dragon, pouting his lips, hands on his hips, before he and Issoirath burst into a fit of giggles, "Issoirath, i love you, you're perfect" he sighed, kneeling to hug his perfect, handsome Brown. "I love you too Mine, there wasn't anyone else on pern more perfect than you" , Together he and Issoirath moved among the crowds, side by side as they mingled.

Matotoka

Outside of a few swipes here and there, Matotoka had found the entire hatching mostly uneventful on a personal level. It wasn't that he hadn't found the hatching of the young dragons to be a marvel in and of itself - new life and that of something so esteemed and beloved was extra special.

It was that he hadn't resonated with any of the little ones. Not in the shell, not outside of it. No Hope's had been hung on any of these. In some ways the young man wondered if he was simply broken in the heart department and that it was a lack of that unbridled thrill that had been why none of them had wanted him. Not like that young girl that his brother had gone through quite the emotional tango with that week.

He'd never wished that turmoil upon Bukichi and made a point to locate those his brother called friend so he could leave them a wide berth. The food at the other end of the table looked just as fine, after all.

----

Nua of Green Sobeth

She'd been on edge for weeks. Sobeth ached for the sky and the normally mellow green had been testy and snippy. Nua had done her best not to let it rub off on her. Never the less, the green had remained in her wallow on the beach, waiting for company to be gone before she answered the call that gnawed on her insides and left her so uncharacteristically irritable.

Nua instead had taken up the nicest dress she had for such occasions, twisted her hair out of her face, and had been determined to have a good time. No sour dragon moods, no huffing and puffing, no lamenting a lack of sleep. Dancing, food, and meeting all the new little ones.

Sobeth let out an offended huff in her head. Sigh

Sorsha of gold Leoth

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.
This whole morning had been the most exciting morning in Sorsha's life. More exciting even than finding that tunnelsnake nest in that cave near the beach! All her life she had wanted to be a dragonrider, and now she was one! And now she was going to the Hatching Feast as a Weyrling! She knew her father Cortun would be so proud of her. His baby girl had Impressed! And a gold dragon! Sorsha was fully aware that a dragon's color held no meaning at Western Weyr with regards to rank; any dragon and rider pair could become anything they wanted to be here, and she loved her home for that. But it did matter at least a little, since golds could rise and lay clutches, and there were going to be additional training in her future to learn how to deal with that. But that was all in the future. This morning was all about the party!

Sorsha for once knew exactly what she wanted to wear; no indecision on her part tonight! A short top with jingles along the hem, loose around the shoulders, and a flowy swirly skirt worn low on her hips, with a happy sash around her waist, all in a cacophony of color, and she was ready to go. (Shoes? Who needs shoes to dance?)

The young girl practically skipped into the celebration, a bright smile on her face and her long red hair loose and flying everywhere. Now SorshaMine, dignity! Dignity befitting our station! Leoth reminded her, entering the room at a trot with her head held high and regally. We must mind our manners, lead by example. You're a goldrider now, after all!

"Oh, Leoth," Sorsha laughed, hugging her beloved baby gold around the neck. "Okay, you're right. I'll try to be a little more dignif-- oh Faranth, look at the size of that deep fish!!!" It was hard to be dignified when presented with a feast like this! Dancing... could wait a bit. Besides, she had a particular person in mind for her first dance...

While the green eyed young woman had kept an eye out for Aryale, C'ryn, Ky'ra, and her big brother K'din, she knew there were demands on their time. As excited as she was to find them, to show off her gorgeous Felisath, she wasn't going to push. There would be time enough before the night ended, and if all else, she knew half of them would be here at Western, and the other half nothing but a letter away.

What Kiri didn't expect was for a Candidate to approach and speak up. Felisath alerted her first, the bronze dragon's eyes whirling faster with emotion as he chirped in greeting at Stormy. Felisath, for her part, stepped closed to the back of Kiri's legs, though she turned her yellow-touched eyes upon Stormy with shy curiosity. Immediately, Kiri's hand reached down to gently, reassuringly, touch the top of the green's head.

While she recognized Stormy, having seen her around during their time as Candidates, she didn't know her well. Thankfully, that didn't bother her, and she was quick to offer a just as reassuring smile to her. "You're not bothering at all," she finally translated what the girl had said amid all the noise. Stepping a touch closer, just so they might actually get to talk instead of shout above the noise, she gave a dip of her head.

She wasn't sure if Stormy wanted to meet her, or the dragon huddling behind her. "This lovely little one is Felisath." The pride, the love, the ever-lasting affection she had for the little green was clear in every word; she couldn't help it. Stormy immediately earned points of approval in Kiri's book for taking any amount of interest in her darling. Though she didn't step out of her way--she wouldn't force the little green to be in the limelight--Felidae did give another reassuring cheep from Kiri's shoulder.

Green-yellow eyes peered shyly up at Stormy, and cautiously, she stretched her neck out just a little more so she might get a better look at the girl. Still, the yellow in her eyes began to take on more of a green hue. "I'm afraid I'm pants with names and don't seem to recall yours; I'm Kiri," she added, just in case it was needed. There were some Candidates she knew by name, but others, not as well; with so many faces that came and went, it was hard to keep them all straight.

Iafri and Green Girofleth

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show. It would have been an easy thing to skip the Feast. It was the middle of the night, after all, and it wasn't like there'd be nothing left at all for breakfast. Iafri would have been perfectly happy to go directly back to bed as soon as the Hatching was finished so that she could avoid all this fuss and all these extra people. Girofleth, however, would hear of no such thing! These precious new lives deserved to be celebrated properly, and the life lost mourned and honored. There would be no going back to bed yet!

No, nothing would do but Iafri had to make herself presentable, in her lone outfit for such occasions, and make an appearance. Nevermind that no one would take much notice whether she was there or not, outside perhaps of an idle observation by a wingmate, if at all. She was easily discounted, and comfortable with that...no matter how much she might crave company and friends, it was easier to just not. When she did try to step outside her comfort zone, it never seemed to go terribly well. But Girofleth kept insisting that she try, that it wasn't her fault, and so here she was.

Her blue flit perched on her shoulder and nuzzled up to her neck to provide ready comfort, the greenrider ducked into the Dining Hall, skirting the edges of the room to give herself time to take it all in, as though she weren't in here every day for meals. It was different all set up for a Feast, though, and a very different sort of busy. Yet she did have to admit, in spite of her nerves, that she was rather hungry, with all these tantalizing smells in the air. Biting her lip, she worked her way out to inspect the offerings more closely, and eventually came away with a bit of curry and bread and a glass of cider. Now to find somewhere out of the way to eat it...

Girofleth settled outside, ever-alert to the state of Hers and ready to provide advice or encouragement, but also quite interested to see the new hatchlings up close.

Stormy - 19, she/her

“That’s okay, I don’t like standing out. I’m not good with names either.”

This was half true. Stormy’s books were peppered with not just dragons and their designs but with people’s names and sketches of their faces if she caught enough of a glimpse. It wasn’t exactly organized, however, and she definitely didn’t remember if she had jotted someone down unless they were repeat visits, like Astriana or Aerdan; sometimes she took an interest in a feature like a scar or a broken nose rather than the person, a lot like she remembered the patterns on dragons unique to them. She usually took a few of her favorite dragonets from a clutch along with their riders, attempted to keep them in mind, and then eventually space out by the time the next clutch came in unless she befriended them. And she so very much wanted to try harder on that front, even if it spiked her anxiety to. The mindhealer that she visited said it had been important to put herself out there, that she had been getting better over the past five turns. And she wanted to believe that, too.

“It’s nice to meet you, Kiri and green Felisath. Congrats! Call me Stormy,” she said. Maybe it was wrong to cling to the moniker, but it felt more comfortable than her real name. Like she was a character in a book instead of a random girl at a weyr, identifiable by her appearance and quirks tied together to a certain name. A descriptor, really, even if she didn’t look it.

Gathering her skirt beneath her, Stormy took a seat on the floor. It didn’t really bother her how abrupt that might seem, or that she’d get her clothes scuffed. She was very intent on being gentle as she peeled her sketchbook from her chest and cracked it open. “I wanted to know if it might be okay to sketch you really quick?” It was vaguely posed, like many things she said were, but she meant rider and dragon together.

Stormy turned the book around after finding a page and pointed with her pencil. “Sometimes dragons have the loveliest hides, like they were painted by a master artist; I like taking inspiration,” she explained somewhat self-consciously, growing unconsciously hushed again. “This one here is Brancath, for instance. She’s a lovely white with lace-like patterns. The girl next to her is her rider.” Or a rough approximation of her. A few more pages were flipped. “And this is Teth, your sire, with F’ell’s face next to him. He has some cute bands I wanted to recreate, but I didn’t have time before the Hatching started. Sketching also helps me remember others a little better. I-It’s okay if you say no, though,” she added quickly, realizing she might be rambling now. “I don’t mean to take up too much of your time.”

Candidate Dhawsn - 29, he/him (open for stuff!)

Eventually, he moved, if only because just sitting there made him feel even more like a sad sack, and he couldn’t do that. In public, anyway. Right now, Dhawsn needed to be grinning fool and a comforting shoulder and a dad. It wasn’t any surprise he would swoop over Serfie first. The girl practically radiated an aura of disgust on the fringes of the party, though for whom exactly wasn’t obvious.

“You ain’ gonna share?” he asked, feigning woundedness as he plopped down next to her, making to take her wine bottle. Not to drink for himself but to better check and see how deep into her cup she was. “Here I thought we was friends! Ya dig the knife deep, hun.”

Something echoed in his mind, and Dhawsn blinked. He didn’t recognize the voice, but...”jokester”? Uh oh. Either he had an admirer (unlikely, not everyone was a connoisseur of his great puns), or Dhawsn was about to get mauled for his bad jokes at last. Well, if there was one way to die...

Karunia - 20, she/her

Karunia wasn’t particularly short, but she did look underweight. Contrasting that to the massive pile of food on her plate was a sight: the deep fish slice took center stage and stood amongst the rest like a king, sitting atop crumbling bubbly pies and sweet rolls, wherry slices sliding into curry and stew and mousse alike, and vegetables and fruits that stuck out like spikes within the layers of it all. The image of such delicious chaos made her eyes sparkle that much more. Oh, how could anyone stay sad when the feast was so good afterwards?!

“Isn’t it all just wonderful, Toto?” she asked, appearing beside him like she had always been there. Already she was patting his back with familiarity, though her grin was aimed at the table and the party at large. Events always charged Karunia up, and with the Hatching done, now she could vent it! And be charged some more when the space was freed! The feedback loop wouldn’t end until she practically collapsed on her dad or Alzarth or some other unfortunate guest. Where were they again? Eh, she could look later.

Naturally, she didn’t wait for an answer. “You look nice, by the way, good of you to clean up. Hope you filled your plate, because we’ve got schmoozing to do, Second!” Karunia told him cheerfully. Parties were a great place to “recruit”, and where better to start than with one of the lucky new weyrlings? With an expectant air that Matotoka would follow, she beelined for the nearest one.

How she balanced that massive plate of food doing so was anyone’s guess.

I know right?!” Karunia commiserated with one of the new goldriders, showcasing the cap of her food mountain like a prize. “Fishermen really outdid themselves this time! Or pirates!” Whoever fished it out! “There’s a huge line for it, but you can have my piece if you want!”

Rider Vosin of Gold Killakeeth

Vosin approved that Western Weyr could go all out. It had been a rough night for some, and even rougher for others. After the hatching had finished the pair had gone to freshen up. There was plenty of time to see both females (woman and dragon) clean, in the case of the former, and sparkling, in the latter. There was nothing like having the feast as soon as the food could be prepared.

Killakeeth settled herself in a prime spot to view the going ons. Do enjoy yourself tonight. She told her rider with amusement. I will, thank you dearest. Vosin moved to her spot and stood quietly while Casgar spoke. The death of the candidate had hit very close to home. She stood respectfully through the speech until it was over.

Vosin wondered how many weyrling’s dragons would be here. Most probably wanted to eat then sleep. I bet only half make it. Vosin smiled. I bet most of the riders, but only 3/4th of the new hatchlings do. She’d keep an eye out for them and congratulate them if she spotted them.

For now, her eyes were upon the feast; so many delicious dishes in so short a time. It was almost hard to pick where to start first. Vosin picked up a plate and stood in line. It didn’t take long to fill her plate. She got several bites in before the first interruption came, however good an interruption it was. Vosin, I have found Marinel. You should go talk to him.

You could do that too. Despite her words, the woman was heading in the direction of the new weyrling. “Mari! There you are. Well done today!” I too am happy for you Mari. The gold chimed in.

Inbound Mari!

Candidate Omurntas (Open for interactions!)
Omurntas got to see the aftermath of a hatching for the first time too. Needless to say, he was impressed. Pardon the pun. Two larger blue firelizards perched on his shoulders, while a younger one rested in the crook of his arm. He fully intended to enjoy the feast.

User Image User Image
Weyrling Rinis of Green Galensith (Open for interactions!)
She was exhausted and wound up all at once. Her Galensith had found her. She’d fed and oiled the green and had her take a nap, so she could be bright and alert for the feast. While the young dragon slept, Rinis had dressed herself up into her Gather best. She wanted to make a good impression this night.

By her side padded the most beautiful creature. Galensith purred her pleasure. It was her first party! Look mine! There are so many here already! There is mother and father! And some of my siblings! I am so happy they could make it! Hello sisters and brothers! Are we ready to party the rest of the night away?! Galensith bounced forward.

Rinis smiled and followed. A gold and brown firezliard perched on her shoulders. The rest of her fair had probably, hopefully, found a perch to watch from.

Vodex - Candidate
(open for meeting)

He was dressed for the occasion, after shoving away the white gown of candidacy that had resulted in empty hands, Vodex showed up to the feast in the best spirits he could conjure up. At least not impressing meant that he could do almost anything at the celebration, barring they were in the rules, so a few drinks would at least erase away any troubling thoughts. Running a hand through the pink hair, he pulled it back grinning before making his way around the tables, plate in hand as he started to fill up on anything that looked delicious. After piling it high, with things that looked more like some sort of sweets and fruits over anything respectable Vodex found himself a seat among the other still to be candidates and gave them all a cheerful grin.

Nazik and Caykuth
(open for meeting)

It was Nazik’s first real feast, at least first real feast that didn’t involve watching over the hungry dragonet brown that had won her heart quite some time ago. The tall woman folded her thin arms over her chest as the piercing blue eyes studied the rest of the crowd, she had been there for over a year yet somehow she hadn’t quite made any sort of friends beyond Caykuth, if anything she had merely earned herself a few stares and looks of interest but nothing beyond that. Charming customers had been one thing but making actual acquaintances to count on had been another feet entirely for her, in some ways it made her miss the adopted family she had grown up with. While they had not been family by blood, they were in some ways easy to talk to when needed.

Go on, at least tell someone hello. Standing there will get you no where. The dragon nudged her mentally along as the tall woman gave a loose sigh before nodding.

I will try.
