The fiery lion was silent his senses on alert on he walked, eyes narrowed, searching the air and land around them for any signs or scents of other lions nearby. The antelope skull he had collected he carried on his back, one prize collected, hopefully the first of many.
It was not until he was certain they were far enough from the pair of lionesses that he began the search for shelter. It was a silent walk, his attention focused on finding somewhere to camp, occasionally looking back to check his sister was still with him before continuing their trek.
Finally Lucifer stopped, his gaze settling on a rocky overhang, a shallow cavern in the rock wall large enough for two lions to rest in comfortably enough and escape whatever storm was fast approaching.
"This will do for now, we will set again when the storm passes."

Hila padded after him, eyes continually scanning the landscape around them. Her heart was racing, adrenaline making her feel almost...jittery. She tried her best to keep any overt sign of it under control though, wanting to seem unflappable and in control. It was unlikely that she succeeded as well as she may have hoped..but the effort was still being made.
When he finally spoke, she simply nodded. It would do; it wasn't the sort of cavern one would want to spend too long in, but as shelter from the rain, it was more than enough. Padding past her brother, she settled in on one side of the cavern, tail lashing once before stilling, as she kept her gaze (mostly) fixed outside.
"Not a bad start though, hmm?" She spoke after a moment, motioning at the skull on his back.

The lion's eyes narrowed, searching the cavern for any signs of snakes, bats or other creatures that might have also chosen this place to shelter. It was not until he was satisfied that he and his sister were truly alone that Lucifer relaxed, settling toward the back of the cavern well away from the approaching wind and rain.
Reaching behind him, he grasped one horn of the skull he carried, pulling it from his back to set it on the ground nearby. A few paces away, he circled before laying on the ground himself.
"It is a decent start, and hopefully not the last of the loot we will find on our journey."
Lucifer rested his head on one paw, huffing quietly, his gaze focused outside the cavern on the storm that suddenly raged beyond their shelter. Stupid storm, he had hoped to have gotten much further on the first day of their journey. For now they would have to rest and wait out the storm before they could continue their viking. May as well make themselves comfortable, rest for the night, it would be a while before the storm past and they were able to move out again.

Laying her head on her paws, she grinned at his answer. At least they were on the same page. "I'll look at it as a good sign of things to come, then," she said, a cocky grin curling at the corners of her mouth.
Staring out at the darkening sky, when the rain began to fall, accompanied by the howling of the wind and the occasional clap of thunder, the adolescent closed her eyes, letting the familiar sounds lull her into a light doze. After all, for all she knew, her brother might want to pick up where they'd left off as soon as the rain let up - even if night had already fallen by that point.
