Safura's ears twitched at Kuhasa's reply. She supposed that his reply was the best that she could have hoped for and she nodded.
"Then that's that." She replied, ever business like. She had come into this arrangement before anyone else and while it had been more difficult for her to conceive than others, her endeavor had finally succeeded.

They were both getting what they agreed to in this arrangement. Kuhasa got to continue his growing lineage, while Safura got to make an impression at last in the pride, becoming a mother that others would surely be jealous of. This was a well struck bargain and she shouldn't feel anything else, but maybe it was on account of her pregnancy that she suddenly felt so sentimental for the lion before her.

The father of her first litter, the kind-mannered lion that kept his promises; Kuhasa had left an impression upon her heart like no one had before him. They could have been friends, she suspected, if he'd the option to stay. Looking at the way he and Amakhaza were snuggled up against one another, she doubted it would have ever been more than a friendship, but she was sorry to see him have to leave forever, now.

Her tail flicked once and then she was winding around the group, carefully avoiding the crocodile that watched the scene take place and then came up behind Kuhasa. With a grin on her face, she nuzzled his cheek and then briefly pressed her nose to his, before sauntering away.

"Well, I'll let you get to it." She purred as she walked off. "I'm sure I'll see you again, Kuhasa, should the luck be against our cubs." It was to imply that any were born sons, but Safura was happy to entertain the notion of seeing Kuhasa again. Maybe, even with all of her cubs with her, male or female, just so they could see their father. Then again, maybe not. Only time would tell.

Just before she left, she paused and grinned at the red-brown newcomer. A new Inselelo, she thought and with sashaying hindquarters, strutted back to the pride camp. She needed to preen and be waited upon while she still could, before her cubs camp.

The discussion that followed her inquiry ended with the agreed upon answer: Yes, Kosan was leaving with their father. Kgabu was happy to have made such an impact on her family with her simple question. She purred in surprise when Kosan nuzzled her and smiled at her brother when he went to stand beside their parents.

"Yes " she replied to Kukhona, "I suspect we all will." She may have not had much dealings with her brother or father, but it was a little sad to see them go. She blinked when Safura, the golden striped lioness, came forward,
slunk around her parents and then was so affectionate with her father. Kgabu's pelt fluffed out as she looked indignantly upon the other lioness and looked around at her siblings.

"How dare she?" She whispered to her sisters. "Couldn't she see this was a special moment between Mother and Father?" Honestly, the nerve!
There may have been other lionesses in her father's life in the pride, as was the norm, but her mother was clearly the most important now! It was just too rude to try and have anyone interrupt them! Hmph!

Kosan smiled shyly at his father, nodding a little. "Thank you sir." He offered, more than aware of the collection of watchers they had acquired. When uncertain, Kosan fell into a more formal manner, a reaction of dealing with his mother for the length of his young life. For all that she was generally abrasive and refused to confirm to the pride and the other lionesses expectations, she demanded her cubs know the rules of societal living. Whether or not they chose to follow or flaunt them as adults was up to each youngster, something Kosan could already see developing in his sisters, as each took on their own very distinct personality.

That was one thing his mother had been determined to instill in her offspring. Individuality. He knew his sisters would be alright in the pride, though he looked back at his closest sister. Kwanele. Catching her eye he tried to send her a mental thought. He wanted to see her one last time before he left, but not right here... somewhere private. The two of them had been the closest out of the litter, and he wanted to make sure she was going to be alright when he went away. Glancing down at the white vulture stood by Kwanele's paw, he knew he wanted to speak to Kazi also. His mother's 'disability bird' had been his main source of support and comfort as a cub, and the one who had helped him understand his mother and his place in the pride. He would miss Kazi as much as he would miss Kwanele. Sighing softly, he sat beside Kuhasa. He would ask his father for a few minutes to say his private good byes later.

On Kuhasa's other side to hr son, Amakhaza sat still leaning into the big male's side, but not clinging as she had been a few moments ago. Now, she was just soaking in as much of Kuhasa as she could before he had to go. The longer it was put off, the longer she had to not think about it.

Knowing her daughter so well, Amakhaza sent Kgabu a warning glance. There would be no drama in public.

Still teary-eyed, Kukhona couldn't help but laugh when Kgabu bristled at the affection shared between their father and another lioness-- and then she caught sight of the look their mother was sending this way and she straightened herself up. This was turning out better than she had expected, she didn't feel the same sadness as before.. she hoped their father didn't either.

"Oh, Kgabu," she said, leaning against her sister and nuzzling into her affectionately.

Kuhasa watched Safura go off with a smile, pleased that he was able to give her what she wanted before he'd had to go. Imagining what might have happened here instead if he hadn't would be good for a chuckle later, but now was definitely not the time.

For now, he was content to remain with what family he had while he could. Under the watchful eyes of an Umama and Inselelo, they could take what time they needed. Nenkani would let them know when their time expired, he was grateful for the lioness who had brought him here as much as he was for the lionesses he had befriended.

But truly, it was Amakhaza he would miss the most.

Nenkani saw Kuhasa glance over toward her and Sayilmaz and only smiled. It seemed she would have to wait some time for her turn to say goodbye, but for now she was fine where she was.

(( Considering this wrapped! Sorry for the delay in my reply, I didn't realize how long it had been!! ))

He gave a nod of his head, it was true. When he left it would mean happier times as he would be going forth into the world and becoming a better lion for it. Still, he knew what his fate would be in time and he hoped that Kuhasa was able to find himself a better life as well. "I do believe you are right." He said to Zahif and watched as the family said their goodbyes.

Remaining silent he hadn't ever really met the male so really his condolences were for Zahif alone. While he didn't know the male well he was very familiar with one of the daughters and the crocodile, but that was about it.

He gave a bow of his head and then departed. Contemplating how his life would too go similar to this one day. Except he wouldn't have much family to see him off, and that was alright by him. It was the way of the pride but he would have hoped that he'd have a send off much like this, but only time would tell.
