Kuhasa chuckled at the enthusiastic response he got out of the girls, happy to be making such an interesting impression on them. Omisa was awed when Qisa confirmed that he read her mind and she scrambled forward, presenting herself to her father.

"Do me, do me!" she squeaked, "What am I thinking?"

Her nose scrunched up but instead of closing her eyes, she stared directly at Kuhasa-- and did her very, very best not to think about him reading her mind or how her nose was suddenly itchy or how she was standing so close and he was staring directly at her.

"Uhh.."

Kuhasa knew better than to push his luck.

"How about we see if any of you can read minds," he said, turning the tables on Omisa, "Maybe it's genetic. Er-- passed down to you because I'm your father."

Ama stayed pt as her sister ran forwards, demanding to get her mind read. Ama herself was far too nervous to do so. What if he saw the plans they had made for later? Aboust sneeking away and going to investigate the blasted tree out by the rocks? Not that the plan was Ama's, it had been Qisa and Omisa who had been discussing it. Really.. mosly Qisa.... So instead, the little tan cun stayed where she was, watching the madness uncertainly.

In front of Kuhasa, Qisa took his suggestion and instantly started to try reading his mind, her face scrunched up as she stared at him with deep focus, or as much focus as a young and easily distracted cub coould muster. "I'm trying!!!!" She gasped, before mvement off to one side caught her attention and she stood up from the crouch she had unconsciously adopted. "MAMA!!!" She yelled loudly with no warning. "HE CAN READ MINDS!"

Omisa stumbled when given the instructions to try reading someone's mind herself, unsure of how to approach that task exactly-- and she got distracted watching Qisa give it a try. Thank goodness for Qisa, she was the most reliable try-er in the family.

Both Omisa and Kuhasa perked up at the sudden cry for their mother, and looked around. Omisa excitedly, Kuhasa sheepishly. Hopefully Maditah was OK with him 'tricking' them like that.

xD Yes, before the truth can be discovered!

Maditah looked mildly amused as Qisa and Ama rushed over to her as if of one mind. The cubs tended to mob anywhere they went and she fully expected Omisa to follow the first two. Casting a grateful and warmly amused look Kuhasa's way as she walked slowly back to where she had been resting before, and where two of the heaviest sleepers of the litter still lay, she settled herself back down in her spot, Ama rushing to bury herself in her mother;s thick chest fur and Qisa praactically bouncing on the spot infront of her.

"I hope they behaved themselves." She asked Kuhasa with a soft chuckle as Qisa practically vibrated in her eagerness to tell her mum what had happened since she had left. Even though it had only been for a minute or two.

Omisa scrambled after her sisters, spiraling expertly around Maditah's legs while she walked without a care to the fact she might accidentally trip her- it had never happened and she didn't know any better. When mama settled back in, she set to climbing on top of her back.

"Of course," Kuhasa said, watching as the girls fell silent and surrounded their mother when she returned, smiling. For a moment, his little family felt perfect despite his place in it. He never had cubs before, for the first time he really appreciated what Maditah had created. And he was grateful to be as welcome as he was.

"I'd like to visit again some time," he said.

Maditah, being an experienced mother, hadn't even broken stride as she deftly avoided stepping on any of her cubs, and now as they climbed over her she simply caught up Qisa and settled her in the crook of one forleg, ready for grooming without taking her attention off of the male.

"You are always welcome, Kuhasa." She replied easily, giving him a reasuring smile. "It does them good to socialise, and myself too." She chuckled low as Qisa made an escape attempt and corraled the cub back into place. "Don't be a stranger..." She studied him for a long moment, that half-smile still in place. "Maybe next time we can converse a little too, if these little ones give us the oppertunity." She caught Qisa a second time and rolled her eyes. "So energetic."

Omisa used her little claws and managed to pull herself up onto her mother, but once she was there she didn't have the balance to move quickly so she ended up clinging right where she was. A slight lean and she saw what was going on before her- Qisa had been caught and was first up for a bath. She snickered and slowly began creeping her way towards mama's neck to get a better view.

"That sounds great," he said, watching as Qisa attempted to run for it and smiling, "I'll leave you to it before I start adding more to the trouble."

Had they been more shy, his presence might not have felt like a nuisance. But they were more wound up than when he arrived and he guessed his trick was a contributing factor in that. Plus .. he didn't want to overstay his welcome.

"Have a good day, ladies," he said.

Being careful not to move too much to avoid sending one of her babies tumbling from her back where she could feel tiny claws clinging to her, he nodded at Kuhasa. "It's no trouble." She reasured him again, well used to the extreme level of energy young cubs always seemed to possess when they weren't comatose in sleep. "See you soon Kuhasa." She smiled, watching as the male left before turning her attention back to her offspring. "Right. Bath time." Her warning produced squeels, the louded from her current prisoner in the form of the quirming Qisa. Though the squeaks were interspersed with laughter and taunts from the others. They would all get their turn being groomed before Maditah released them to their games.
