Reno Vantas Leslie and Aria would look to the gathered and trailing Snagems, yelling back at them to answer questions. "Darts, don't be silly. It'd just break down and slip through the net." Leslie grumbled, casually tackling her way through a rock as she attempted to follow the now normal route through the cave that had emerged after the bombed out entrance. "Also, we should all be running. Hate to see another bright flash and then an earth-shattering kaboom as Zac makes another break for it or something." The gathered Snagems would quickly cover the ground through their original path, eventually finding the wrecked equipment from Flare's incursion into the place alongside a small trail of drag marks that led down another cavern deeper into the cave system. Seemed that the mass of amoebas had went that way. "Right..." Amaranth rushed into the cave without a second thought, seeing the equipment in disrepair along the way. "Wait, what this?" She'd stop when she saw the drag marks, deciding to just go on ahead and inspect further. Cera would do the same, though she remained quiet and apprehensive. Until she overheard Blizz's group. "Yeah, we found the Core around here. Well, the one everyone's been calling Zac, anyway. Still... I don't remember any drag marks here the last time we were here. Either they're around here, or something else happened that we don't know about."

Atlantis_Darts "Hmmm...." Darts kneels near the tracks and swabs one with a finger, searching for any confirming green goop. He holds up the finger and tastes it after a moment, smacking his lips beneath his crest for second before declaring: "Yep, that's dirt all right." "Yup," Isaac replied as he gazed at Dart's finger, as the hybrid licked the sample in question. "That certainly seems to be dirt. Now, with the correct laboratory equipment, I could tell you the precise chemical composition of the dirt, but since we are in the field," he turned to address the rest of the team, "I'm just gonna say that it's dirt."

Odd was still trying to make sense of what all was going on, even though Lykas had basically explained all that he had found so far.
"I just found something......" Lykas piped up, still reading the mission report. "According to these reports, it looks like Flare's still after Zygarde. I'm willing to bet Aile's defection has something to do with that...." He mused more to himself than anyone else.
"She's from this region, isn't she?" Odd asked, following the others. Neither he nor Lykas had been here before so neither realized it looked different. However, Odd would take notice of something. "There's a presence in this cave.... It might be a residual effect from whatever caused all this damage but I can't identify it as a spirit...." He announced about halfway through the cavern.
"Looks like it was Flare...." Lykas responded, pulling up another file on his SNAG. "I think that's enough information. Aile's a rogue agent, we have a criminal organization after a Legendary Pokemon that someone let escape from our care and now we're trying to find it again and hide it from them." Lykas summarized.
"Got it. Catch the dog. Kick Flare's collective butts. Track down and drag Aile back to HQ. Kick her butt, too." Odd summarized better. "Let's focus now."
Now that they had a better understanding of the situation, the pair focused on chasing after Zac and, hopefully, catching him.

It wouldn't take long for the group to arrive to where the drag marks ended and they found a small group of cells and cores all clustered together in the center of the room slowly moving and dancing around in a very tribal fashion. A small ball of energy would be forming between the gelatinous beings that seemed to draw more of them in from deeper portions of the cave, letting them join into the ceremony and make the ball slowly grow larger. If uninterrupted, the Snagems would watch as a few more cells gathered into the strange movements in an attempt to do...something.

Calamity and Mayhem and a wild chase explodes into action for the snagems.... Welllllll all but two. Clara would be sipping herself some tea while reading the paper. The calming scenery and sweet smelling air of Cafe strip that was Lumious had slapped Clara with a content smile. Being trapped away from home on another Continent usually sucks, but being stuck in the poshest place on earth makes you just feel like your golden. No Snag, No money, and No means of getting back to Kanto she would wait round looking for a sign or really anything to get her back to her family, the snagems.

A small ball of energy would be forming between the gelatinous beings that seemed to draw more of them in from deeper portions of the cave, letting them join into the ceremony and make the ball slowly grow larger. If uninterrupted, the Snagems would watch as a few more cells gathered into the strange movements in an attempt to do...something. "There they are!" Amaranth spoke up at once, seeing what had to be the weirdest "dance" ever. At least with what the cells and cores were doing. Eventually, she stepped closer and moved an arm to try and poke it. Hopefully it wasn't too dangerous. "What are they... they didn't do this when Zac became that weird dog thing, did they?" Cera asked, confused at what she was seeing. "Definitely feels like a lot more's around, though..."

Aile would be standing outside of an archery shop in Lumiose, one hand putting up a brand new bow onto her back, and the other one up a Holocaster broadcasting the news.
"And in other news, a mass of floating lights have been seen making their way over to Terminus Cave. There doesn't appear to be any danger, but anyone in the area should be cautious. If anyone has any information, please contact-"
The Holocaster would be shut off and put away, the woman tilting her head as she walked over to rejoin Clara. "Hm. So, an abnormal phenomenon is happening over in Terminus Cave. I'm surprised that they're not calling me yet." She rolled her eyes and grabbed the closed up quiver on the chair opposite the teen. "They like to send me on stuff like this, especially since I think I know what those lights are..." She drummed the side of the quiver with her fingers and stared at it. "What do you want to do, Clara?"

"Ew..." Keiko whined when she saw the Zygarde remnants. "This isn't what's left of that puppy, is it?"
"That 'puppy' was a Legendary Pokemon," I explained to her. "Though I must admit, I've never seen a Legendary turn itself into this... not that I HAVE much experience in that field."

"I've been doing some reading on the way in here. Obviously I didn't get much but I found out enough to have an idea what's happening." Lykas stated as he approached Terashi from behind. "It seems Zygarde is a multi-celled organism composed of a large number of single-celled organisms that share a single hive mind with a 'core' cell that acts as the brain when they combine." He explained. "As far as the research I can find on it says, it seems to me that it's looking for the rest of itself." He rationalized.
"Wait. It's a what and it's doing what?"
"Think of the cells like Combee. Males ones, specifically. They're able to move and act on their own but they need a leader to organize them if they're to accomplish anything much grander than swarming." Lykas tried to simplify for Odd. "Who knows how many cells there are or what it'll look like when it's done though."
"But why's it doing this?" Odd asked, trying to make sense of it.
"That part, I haven't a clue. Most of the research I can find regarding Zygarde is centered around it's unique composition. Hell, I'm surprised those papers exist at all, considering almost all of them state these thoughts are mostly conjecture since Zygarde is so rare that almost no one has been able to examine one up close outside of the occasional cell discovered in remote places."
"You're really competing with Terashi for most said in a single breath, aren't you?" Odd questioned at this point, not the situation with Zac/Zygarde but Lykas directly.

Just when Allen was about to give up hope, Smitty came back and soon they were in front of this mass of Zygarde. He returned the Gastly sent out Zest, her sitting atop his head and calling out to see if he could hear them. She had thought that maybe Zac decided to spread across Kanto and make that a home instead- not that it mattered. Did she make him even more homesick? Allen found Lykas' speech comforting at first but the fact that Zac looked like he couldn't find the rest of him was worrying. "Then he's still there, he's just not focusing on holding a form at the moment." he said before putting Zest down in front of him.
He didn't really like to think that it was his Pokemon's fault. Zest was mischievous at best but she wouldn't do anything about of malice. Maybe he was just lonely without the rest of himself. "So why can't a legendary Pokemon find the other parts of him? And you think Flare noticed then, if they're looking for him I mean." Allen asked Lykas directly.

"I think I saw something like this before, but instead it was with a bunch of guys and they- nevermind, it's nothing like this." Sub commented as he walked into the cave with the others and watched the cells do their weird dance thing. "Weird dog turns back into weird globs doing a weird dance. You guys gave him the wrong name, should have just called him Bizzaro."

"At least I'm not doing it on purpose," I offered Odd before turning my gaze to Sub. "That's probably what I would have called it, to be honest."
Keiko jabbed me in the side with her elbow at that point, apparently not happy about the Bizarro quip. I shrugged at her in response - what did she want me to do? Lie? Not likely.

Darts mutters, one hand in the pocket of his jacket around a Pokeball. There was something about the way they were moving that gave the Giratina hybrid a bad feeling...

As we continued down the path, my instincts started to trip as did Freth's. Tristen with no such luxury, however, was left a little confused as our sudden reaction. "...uhhhh the hell is that?" I asked. "That can't be Zac, is it?" Freth asked. The three of us followed the path, following the rest of the team, to find the Zygarde in many of its pieces, surrounded by its core, and making some sort of reaction occur. "...is that a good thing?" Tristen asked. "I honestly have no idea." Freth said.
