I'm a pride newbie! She won't be joining either lol XD

Lilith had gotten separated from Terra but she figured she'd find him again shortly. It wasn't uncommon for her to go off alone and him find her later. Or she'd be back before long so it's not like it was a huge worry. She was able to take care of herself for the most part.

It wasn't very long before he came across a peculiar gathering and she kept back, she was rather cautious being around so many lions she didn't know, especially without Terra.

She wasn't exactly sure what she had ventured upon but something told her she shouldn't be in the area.

// Rolling for the Sador, however you can continue posting.

Noh was silent, observing the discussion around her. One ear flicked, and her eyes moved to the adolescent that approached. She was pale to be sure, but a scent on the air warned she was to be welcomed. She carried not Primitus' scent, but one of his young. Had someone bred?... Well, probably. Accendo had recently had cubs after all, and the Chil nodded to Lillith in a polite greeting before stretching. She studied Beri, and then shook her head.

"There is no shame in a sador." She drawled to Beri. "But I am also a rare case. To seek more, you must prepare to fight. To fight, and claw, and prove yourself. The pale do not join the demons as if a light pelt were for naught. Most demons reflect in dark pelts. I was born with my demon to a demon mother. But a sador is not a slave. Merely sensible enough to seek succor with our kind. A slave... Well, most can say our nat are slaves, rather than our sador. But what other use befits criminals?"

Murderers, cannibals -- Nat HAD no use, and she nosed the sador sitting warmly, before scowling darkly.

y grandcubs themselves have a sador among them -- it does not change that they are loved, wanted."

Better than the rogue that dared to touch her daughter who was going to bloody well pay.
Anderleit
I actually checked on Beri's pelt -- the brightness is the only reason he'd be sador, however in rare cases, if a player approaches Me, Das, and Wish about a plot for a Sador to work towards a demon rank, it's possible! POale demons not born in-pride have to work twice as hard as a rule to attain a demon standing, and they tend to be extremely rare. It's not impossible however so don't worry if it seems so! Sador are very well treated, and looked after. It's like paying aservant to work for you, while Nat are slaves and often begin as criminals.

Basically, Demons see Sador as almost as good as themselves, followed by most other creatures, and bottom is nats The only thing better than demons are gods! XD

AS FOR SADOR LADY....

Speaking of Sador, this lovely lady is rolled and our winner is Anderleit! Irony of ironies. XD

Her rank is a sador, and she was colored by Meepfur. She cannot leave the pride, as I got her for it, but she WAS brought willingly and treated kindly - no worries about Nh hurting her! And like Beri yes she can polot towards a pale demon with a submission for it ETC. XD heart

Feel free to continue all discussion guys, since it's not ICly ove-- I just put off rolling WAY too long. ;;

Lilith's instincts had been wise to push her away from the gathering. As the blue and white colored female crept near the edge of the demon group, Shetani felt her fur prickle along the edge of her back. Shifting her golden gaze outward, she observed the appearance of the stranger with some distaste. The leadership of the pride might have claimed that such interest would be good for them, but the increasing number of strangers, of sador, surrounding them, didn't sit well with her.

Without approaching any closer, it was evident through the dark and red female's body language, that there was little to nothing inviting about her demeanor. The gathering had grown far too large for what it was. The ownership of a sador was a matter between demons.

When Noh went on to explain the role of sador to Berihun and the others gathered, Shetani simply listened. The demon trial was one of danger for a dark pelted lion. It would be no easier for the sador.

Having barely moved, barely breathed, Amadi finally put one paw in front of another. And another. And another. Body close to the ground, staying within the darkness of the threes, Amadi moved as quietly as he could manage. The brown lion made his way around the cropping of those gathered and discussing amongst themselves⏤who he desperately prayed were too concerned about their conversations about what constituted a slave to notice him hidden within the trees and brush.

Disgust of these 'demons' furled in his stomach, along with his nervousness at what he was currently doing. This was by far the most dangerous thing he'd done in his ever boring life. He had never stuck around perilous situations to see if they ended badly for him. Heck, he didn't normally even hunt his own food, relaying on scavenging to feed his body. This had resulted in his leaner body that was less muscular than the lions in this group. Even the females here seemed to have thick bands of muscle wrapping their body.

He gulped at the realization.

He mentally chastised himself now, refocusing on his steps and ensuring they were as silent as he could manage. He was now half way to his goal... the lioness this whole discussion was centered on. His eyes maintained themselves on his path, only briefly leaving the ground to flicker over to her, to see if she'd noticed his approach. To his knowledge she hadn't, as he hoped the others among them hadn't either. Another step. And another.

:: Berihun ::
With a nod, Berihun looked up from his quiet conversation with the black-and-red lioness. Their heir's contribution only reinforced her words: that becoming something more, despite his coloration, was a possibility. Not a common or an easy one, but those details were of little consequence. "I suppose I'll have some fighting in my future, then."

In spite of himself, Beri found he was smiling as he said it. His claws shifted from their sheaths in subconscious acknowledgement of the pale male's ambitions. Previously, he had thought this whole situation treacherous. Now that he'd given himself over to the idea, however - decided, without the shadow of a doubt, to pursue his own demon - any wariness had been replaced by a fierce, fiery excitement. If there were any truth to dear ol' Dad's words, he would force it before him and name it as his demon. He could find a place here alongside it, free to pursue the power he so hungered for. How could he resist the chance?

:: Makeda ::
The sador smiled. It was the same smile she had held throughout the meeting, serene and unafraid. Noh had promised her that she would not be hurt here, and the lioness had no reason to disbelieve her. The smile broadened at the chil's attention though, becoming a little more genuine. With it came a nod that could be taken as submissive. At the moment, that was the role she was content to play. A gift one would be glad to receive, quiet and accepting. Certainly curious, however, to see which one of these lions would carry her fate.

Until something else peaked her curiousity. For only a moment, the wind changed, wafting a familiar scent beneath her nose. She couldn't help but glance toward it, squinting into the darkness at the edges of their gathering. The other lions were busy with their discussions, so she was able to study that place for a long moment. Long enough to be sure that something moved there, and that her nose was not deceiving her. "Excuse me," the lioness murmured gently to her guide, not waiting for Noh's answer before she stepped softly toward the shadows. She hadn't smelled that in quite a long time. Could it be...?

Amadi had been so intent on his quiet steps that he'd forgotten to glance upward. By the time he'd thought to have done so, a new voice pierced his ears like she'd screamed. Excuse me. Despite it being a whisper, Amadi's immediate realization was probably because he knew exactly the direction it had come from. And probably because he was skulking around, knowing he was up to no good. The brown lion's head whipped upward and saw that the lioness was no longer where she'd been standing, but was now heading towards the trees. Towards him.

"Oh no." Without his permission, Amadi whispered to himself as fear spiked in his stomach like icicles stabbing him repeatedly. Fight or flight. Fight or flight?! Panic surged in the lion, realizing that not only the lioness had seen him, but was now making her way towards his direction. It would surely stir the interest of the others and call attention to his location, lurking in the trees. He could barely hear now as the sound of his own heart felt as if it had replaced his ear drums. His vision was blurred but still focused somewhere as he looked around for the best exit, the best escape, without being chased down. There was none. The dense trees and brush would lead a clear path in whatever direction he would take.

Panic locked him into place without a clear route to safety. So instead of running, he stood frozen, hunched to the ground and wide eyed as the lioness broke the trees in his immediate area. He made eye contact but did not move, did not speak. Instead he waited for her to call for the others, to take him as a slave as well. The faintest hope she would ignore him, pretend she'd seen nothing and return to the grouping was soon squashed by his own pessimism. And he had no one to blame but himself.

Following her nose into the shade was the easiest part. Making sense of what she found there...was proving to be a little more difficult. She was sure that she didn't recognize the brown lion crouched under the trees, although they certainly had some things in common. They each had the look of hunger about them, that lean figure that pointed out a lion was doing just 'well enough' out in the rouge-lands. She could sympathize with him, one outsider to another, but only so much.

She stopped, shaking her head. This was her pride, now. One of the demons. Whoever would have thought...?

That smile returned, hopefully lending some peace to the hidden male. She didn't think she'd be able to get through to him without it, with all the proper fear in his...eyes! A startled expression almost smothered the calm she tried so hard to maintain. Now it all made sense! Butterflies lit in her stomach as she gazed at him, that old scent of home taking on renewed strength.

"Do you remember me?" The lioness crouched down, trying to get her head on the same level as his. Her voice was just as soft as her whisper, pitched as if soothing a frightened cub. "It's me. Makeda?" If only she could place him outside of those eyes! Try as she might, nothing came to mind.

Confusion crossed Amadi's expression, momentarily lessening the fear he felt. So far she hadn't called attention to him directly, but he couldn't risk staying here much longer if she intended to. He whispered back urgently. "I⏤I don't know you." He took a moment to look to the group over her shoulder, to see if they were making their way after her. Amadi thought back, remembering what possessed him to investigate this grouping of lions further. There was something astoundingly familiar about this lioness, having noted her eyes and her lean body. There was something simply so familiar it had tempted Amadi into danger. Now, with the fear of danger hanging over his head, the idea of her being familiar was ridiculous. Clearly he did not recognize her or her na⏤ He stopped mid-thought.

"Makeda?" He wondered allowed, the furrow of his eyebrows depending in confusion and thought as he looked away from her. He mind was now back in another time, when he was very young. His mother was arguing with him and his siblings, explaining to them that they couldn't go 'home.' What a silly thing for her to say, mostly because they had no home. They were wanderers for his entire life. Or were they? He struggled with a thought that slipped through his fingers like water every time he was near the breakthrough. She was more familiar than a stranger ought to be. Why? Amadi looked at her, studying her, trying desperately to get the thought to click into place. "Who... are you?"

Didn't know her? Was he serious? "You must!" She urged in response, sadness pinching her features. Maybe he was just too scared to remember. "Why else would you be here?" The sador scooted closer to him, careful to keep her forward motion slow and steady. Makeda didn't want to think about the way her new pride might react if he took off just now. It would be like watching a scared rabbit light off through the trees...with a pack of hungry hounds right on its heels.

She was many things, but she wasn't an idiot. She wouldn't place a lot of hope in this rabbit.

"Yes!" Her attention snapped back to the male, eyes and face alighting with the sound of her name. "Yes, that's me! I'm..." Answering a hard question, that's what she was doing. "I was part of a group of lions, a long time ago. Many of us, with eyes like ours. Eyes like jewels." Her own widened, not only with her need for him to remember their home, but in some vain hope of serving as another reminder. Something was coming to her, towards the end. The adults fighting over things she didn't understand. Yelling at each other, and their would-be pride growing smaller...

The lioness gasped with the weight of it. "You left. Is that why you don't remember? You left with... Was it Yasa? Yoj... No." She rocked back on her haunches, sitting as she stared hard at the treetops. She only needed a moment to think, but it was hard to take her eyes off of him for too long. Makeda half expected him to bolt out from under her if she did. "Yejide! That's it!" Her tail wrapped slowly around buff paws, giving a few self-satisfied curls. It was hard to keep an equally satisfied purr out of her tone, which still came off rich and warm. "Are you Yejide's son?" Not that she knew much about that name. Only that there had been yelling - and Yejide had been one of the first to go, little dark cubs trailing behind her.

The red lions hospitality was wearing thin, he'd only had enough diplomacy in his being to serve for just a few moments. Those who didn't intend to stay ought to have been gone by now or risk being captured by those who had wooed them over with the temptation of a pale stranger. "Hey you, brown male." He called out at the stranger that had wandered in on the meeting and also striking up a conversation with a mere Sador. "Who do you think you are?" Blue eyes narrowed, creasing his brow and a snarl lifted his lip. His paws carried him past the scene where the meeting had all begun, past Noh and the others. His target was found and determined.

"The two of you ought to cease this friendly banter, unless you plan to join her?" Angra Mainyu half hoped his sarcastic offer was answered with a quick yes, but he figured he'd get a rapid no or perhaps a chase? His heart began to pitter patter beneath his puffed chest, a chase would be the most extraordinary if it could be managed. That all truly depended upon what type of lion this brown one ended up being.

"Well how about it?" He began to grow frustrated.

Shock blasted through Amadi at the mention of his mothers name. What he was hearing was impossible. His mother was dead, and no one to care besides him and his siblings that drifted apart to opposite ends of the earth. Struck dumb so to speak, Amadi took in the rush of memories trigged by what this lioness had to say. When in reality the memories only lasted seconds, he realized too late that it had been seconds he couldn't afford.

The gruff, agitated voice that joined them broke through the numbness. Amadi's head whipped in the direction the words had come from. Shocked into motionless for seconds, the brown lion assessed his options. Well how about⏤Amadi sprinted. His body, while underfed, was lithe and fast. Running away from danger was the only skill he'd trained for in his years, but that wasn't to say his stamina was built up. Quick and fast was his talent. If he couldn't lose the lion quickly, the odds of surviving the encounter dropped by a significant number. Not sparing a thought for anything else other than survival, Amadi ran.

Anderleit
We should definitely RP a second encounter in the future! Amadi knows where she is and while he won't go into the hornet's nest again, he might pass by the outskirts in the hopes of seeing her. Or we can find another work around, may haps her keeper would permit her to visit him or something IDK 8'D Great RP though. <3 I loved it.

I went ahead and responded to demonstrate Amadi's exit for the thread's flow. Also so Ander could respond and such. Do you plan on having Angra give chase now? (I don't know how you'd loop him back to make more posts with the others unless you did it post-encounter with Amadi)

Angra Mainyu, unlike the lion before him, wasted little time in thinking through what he could do and had already begun to move towards the brown lion with carefully place and heavy steps of his large paws. "Oh yeah, you better run." He mumbled in a tone that suggested he was going to enjoy himself. The chase was on and he felt the thrilling heat he was accustomed to flourish through his entire body.

This was what he lived for.

Without hesitation he sped up, paws carrying him with unsuspected speed for his size. Overtime he'd dedicated sessions to training for these kinds of scenarios, though having to make a quick exit also aided him - he had little concern about whether or not he would catch him, instead it would likely be a matter of when - his own ego played into that quite a bit. "Run as fast as you can!" He called out in no general direction at the brown lion who had soared away quite a bit more quickly than he had anticipated, but still he felt confident.

"No, wait!" Makeda's call came far too late, though. As far as she could tell, the brown male gave no indication he'd heard it. Then again, he didn't look like he was going to stop for anything - and given the challenge the large red lion beside her delivered in response, she wasn't sure she blamed him.

The lioness sighed softly. Well, there went the rabbit.

"You could have stayed..." The words were despondent, breathed out to anyone within earshot. Even as she said them, she knew that they weren't true. If the last few moments were typical of his usual behavior, the male who shared her eyes absolutely reeked of fear. Makeda knew from experience how...irresistible that could be to certain lions; the proof lie in the hound. The chance that she could have made him comfortable enough within the pride for him to grow a spine was rather small, and she'd never been that good a babysitter.

Still. It might have been nice to have someone she knew at her side. Especially someone so familiar. They might have made it work. Maybe she could even have given him a bunch of little jewel-eyes to take up his attention? The unexpected thought sent a ridge of fur standing up along Makeda's back, eyes temporarily widening, then squeezing shut at her own silly impulses. Nope. Probably for the better that he was long gone.
