Connor shook his head, returning his Combusken once they had all four of the vandals tied up. So someone else was looking for Rui? Of course they were, if they came to the same conclusion they did. So now it was a race to find her first; after all, they had first dibs on the impostor. "Don't care. Let's go" he commented on punishing the four. He'd leave that to Beau and follow Larrimore to the Colisseum. We're they going to attempt the sign-up entry thing again?

Beau would glance down at the quartet that sat before him, snapping his fingers reflexively and letting a few particles of powder flick out from his snaps each time. "Y'know, any other day, I might actually go with the explode you lot a little more plan. Except the guy who offered it up and me...aren't on the best of terms. So instead, settle on this." With that, Beau would move his way around the four grunts, applying a vicious kick to each of their heads as he went before smiling at the unconscious men. "I love working out my aggression to Larry on others." Beau quipped, quickly taking off after Connor and Larry to go and setup shop at the Coliseum. It was time to see what step two entitled.

The trio would arrive in front of Phenac Colosseum and the first thing Larrimore took notice of was the security in front of the coliseum. Unlike the Under Colosseum this one was a little more organized, then again Phenac City was one of the more properly organized cities in Orre, if not the only one. "If another group is after Rui, especially one that isn't afraid to use violence to get to her, then we don't have time to sneak in. We go in, find Rui, and make our escape all as quick as possible. Connor and I will take out the guards. I'll attempt to distract them for you, Connor, do whatever you have to in order to knock them out. Beauregard, climb to the top and prepare to blow a hole in the ceiling for our getaway. Once set up join us inside. Let's go, Connor." He instructed the other two Snagems. Hopefully Beauregard doesn't get too bent out of shape over being given orders like old times.
"Bonjour gentlemen." Larrimore said as he approached the two guards. He didn't have a Pokemon to battle with right now so he could do little more than distract.
"Ticket stub please. The tournament is already underway. No one gets back in without a ticket stub." One of the guards said rather plainly.
"Ticket stub? Oh, yes sir I have one." He said, pretending to search his person. He was stalling for Connor to make his move.

Amaranth would recall Goomy after the four were tied up, plucking Cera from the mud and placing her on Breeze's back. "Right... come on." She'd hurry after the rest, her Togekiss following as the Mew lazily laid there and tried to regain her bearings. She was still having a hard time recovering, her eyes closed to try and deal with how bright everything seemed.
"Okay, shutting up now..." She finally murmured, her voice muffled by what could be best described as a mental static, like a phone's signal was wanting to cut out.
As soon as they reached the others at the coliseum, though, Amaranth would act like she was searching to. She knew she didn't have one, but it looked to be the act to follow, so she didn't question it.

Beau would grumble as he fluttered his way up to the roof, staring at the expanse of concrete and nothing that had been designated his job. Giving a loathsome stare to what he knew he had to break as the over-glorified taxi service, an idea crossed his mind. "Yeah. I'll make sure there's a hole in the roof. Big enough to fit you, your ego, and that arrogant streak of yours Larry." A menacing cackle began to echo over the empty expanse as Beau released a Pokeball and simply nodded to Red Baron. One Me First later, and Beau began to watch as massive amounts of Powder began to coat the roof. Oh he was gonna make sure this was a hell of an exit.

A direct approach? He was starting to like the way this Larrimore guy led. Though it was likely in the interest of time, he didn't care since he was still getting to hit stuff. Even Beau seemed to be getting into. The Pinsir hybrid went ahead and distracted to the two men, leaving him to take them out. Two guys that needed to be taken out quickly and effectively. Connor called on his Meditite to assist him, walking past the guards slightly while they were preoccupied. Quickly turning, he'd deliver a swift kick to the back of the man's legs, bringing him to his knees. With his elbow, he'd strike him in the back of his head, knocking him out. As for the other guard, Meditite jumped up and struck him in the back of the head with Force Palm, putting him down as well. With both of them out, he'd look to Larrimore and nod for him to lead the way.

"Thank you, Connor." Larrimore said to the man as he stepped over the guards, not even giving them so much as a passing glance as he did.
The inside of Phenac Colosseum was packed, so much that people were even standing in th entry way just to get a peek at the battles taking place at the center of the building. That's one thing the people of Orre loved, battles, namely double battles it would seem.
"Rui is in here somewhere. Would have been nice to have a picture though." Larrimore mused, without further leads this would be like finding a needle in a haystack. "That does give me an idea. Amaranth, you have a Shadow Pokemon, right? Maybe if we get you into a battle with one of your Shadow Pokemon our lady target will reveal herself, or at least her friend." Larrimore spoke up, looking around to see how they could get her into the roster.
"Next up is Joseph Shorts versus Lady Gold!" The speakers in the coliseum announced, followed my murmurs of who Lady Gold was. It was at that moment that Larrimore noticed a woman dressed in a gold dress with blonde hair came running into the coliseum.
"I'm late for my battle!" She exclaimed. "Did you guys see who knocked out those guards!?" The woman asked the Snagems standing at the entrance. "..." This was convenient. Larrimore didn't say anything, he just looked at Amaranth and Connor, his eyes transmitting his thoughts of 'disappearing' this girl and replacing her with Amaranth.

Returning Meditite, Connor would follow after Larrimore with Amaranth into the colosseum. The loud roar of people was reminiscent of The Under when he participated. Having a partner then kind of sucked but it was still fun...until Darts. Connor was cautiously looking around for more guards while listening to the new plan to find Rui. Before he could ask why a Shadow Pokemon, the attention grabbing announcement rang out over the speakers. Following that, a woman matching the description of "Lady Gold" appeared before them. Catching the Pinsir's look, he understood what his intentions were. "Fine, fine, I got it. Poliwhirl" he called out his tadpole who proceeded to use Hypnosis on the woman. Course he could have hit her to knock her out but it didn't sit right with him. Even he had standards. He would catch her before she fell but motion for Amaranth to take her afterwards.

What Larrimore would get wouldn't be the most enthusiastic of responses once Amaranth realized what he apparently had in mind. "Ohh no, no thanks," she'd say, shaking her head and back up. She'd then learn that, like it not, this plan was going to happen, seeing the Poliwhirl that Connor sent out. "I'm not having a choice in this, am I?" She asked, her voice low as she took the falling woman from Connor.

Larrimore just watched the woman call over, put to sleep by Connor's Poliwhirl. Taking note that no one saw the event take place he just turned to Amaranth and spoke. "Give her to me, I'll find a place to hide her away safely and make sure she doesn't wake up prematurely. You go take her place in the battle and Connor, get yourself to a good vantage point so you can jump when needed." With that said he grabbed a hold of the woman and began to drag her out of the coliseum. "Oh, and if you can, try not to hit your opponent with any moves from your Shadow Pokemon. I guess we could chalk it up to collateral damage if you infect one. End justifies the means and all that." And with that he was gone.
If Amaranth would make her way to the battle field she would find a middle aged man wearing a yellow shirt, a blue ball cap turned backwards, and a pair of extremely short shorts that looked filled to capacity. Two Raticate at the ready to battle in front of him. "Come on! It's time to show them who is still in the top percentage!" Weirdo.

Up on the roof of the coliseum, Beau began to kick at the well of powder that he had built up. Oh he was going to make sure that they punched right through in one shot on this one. And so what if this was bigger than Larry planned on? Larry had never been the planner and the one time he did plan they were still feeling the fallout from. Oh yeah this was why he didn't like waiting. Too much time to think and doubt yourself. Nowhere close to his usual explosion powered rapid thinking. Carefully walking over to one of the small vents, Beau would drop a piece of debris in to the arena. Nothing else for him to do really.

Connor shook his head no to answer Amaranth, passing the woman off to her. Were it the case he could do it, he would. But he physically couldn't so there was no other way. He was fine with sticking to the stands for now, waiting for the moment to intervene. Returning his hypno-toad, he head off to secure a spot to watch close by. All the close seats were taken of course but what was to stop him from standing in the aisle? So long as he was cautious, he might get away with it.

Amaranth would be quick to give the woman over to Larrimore, though she wasn't too fond of the idea of actually having to use a Shadow Pokemon. She had a few, though, probably more than the rest here. Reluctantly, she nodded to Breeze to have her take her leave and stay in the air around the city. "I'll... do what I can," she said as she went to take the place of whoever Lady Gold was. She wasn't quite expecting to see someone so young on the other side of the battlefield, though, let alone someone bold enough to call their Pokemon the top percentage of anything.
"If those are top percentage, can you not show what your low percentage is?" She'd ask before gulping, hesitating before she let out a shadowfied Butterfree and Tropius. While she couldn't actually feel the vile chi from them, there was an odd pressure that made her uneasy as she kept her distance.

"Hey! Don't make fun of me!" The trainer as he stomped one the ground. "Show that lady with the bleached hair what it means to be top percentage! Rat, use Hyper Fang on the Tropius. Cate, use Thunderbolt on the Butterfree!" He ordered.
The one named Rat rushed towards the Tropius, teeth glowing as it prepared to chomp down. The other, named Cate, got on all fours and began to shake its body like it was drying off but instead of flinging water it sent a Thunderbolt straight for Butterfree.

Tropius would wind up having the fruit on his neck bitten and while it didn't do any lasting damage, the sudden yank wouldn't be received so well. Before Amaranth could even give a proper order, he'd go to drop on Rat with a Body Slam.
She'd be thanking her lucky stars that at least something worse wasn't used, but at the same time, she had a feeling that trying to prevent infection was beyond her control. Not when they were practically acting on their own as it was and there was such close vicinity. She cringed as Butterfree was zapped by Cate's Thunderbolt, but he seemed to be fine otherwise and at least willing to listen for the moment.
"Careful... just bear with me. Attack Cate with Bug Buzz!" She commanded at once, covering her ears as Butterfree let out a horrible buzzing sound to assault Cate and perhaps everyone else's ears.
