Maawio has always had a nervous disposition that has waxed and waned over time, and an occasional stutter, although it is very rarely present now. Her mate was a childhood sweetheart who helped her overcome her shyness. Her anxiety was at it's calmest when she was with Amari. Despite having a rebellious phase she has always been a little anxious. Maawio has been a little sensitive over the years, due to some of the sadness in her life. She's incredibly kind and sweet natured, and very gentle. In old age, her anxiety is nearly all gone along with her shyness.

History:

Maawio was a anxious little cub. Her mother, Wingu, wanted nothing more than for her to be betrothed to the prince, Simba. Maawio was disheartened by her lack of freedom, and spent was little time she had alone praciticing her hunting skills, before returning to her mother.

As a Juvenile she met Amari, he was the polar opposite to her, charismatic, charming and flirtatious. He was her first crush and she was besotted. Eventually Amari persuaded her to leave the Pridelands, to find her individuality, and she did. She left and rebelled against her mother. Life was good and Amari had certainly made her confidence grow, but she began to grow weary of her travels, and began to miss the comforts of her home and her mother.

Word of a plague reached Maawio, and she feared for her mothers life. She had to go back. When she returned, she learned that indeed, her mother had passed, along with Simba and a few other members of the Pride. She fell into a deep sadness that she could not shift. Guilt plagued her for a long while, and she was alone.

Eventually Amari came to the Pridelands, and took care of Maawio. The pair became mated and at Maawios adolescence, had one son, Mbari. Maawio and Amari had their fair share of ups and downs, and Amari grew restless of a pridal life, eventually leaving for a while. This broke Maawio's heart, as she knew she couldn't tame those who wanted to be free.

Amari, however soon learnt the joys of being a father and returned to the Pridelands to continue his life with Maawio. They had another litter and all was well.

Unfortunately, they were separated just before the war began between the Hyena and Lions. Maawio fled to safety with some of her children, and Amari was fatally injured during the fighting. Amari was the love of Maawio's life, and she knew no other.

Since his passing, she has been overcome by sadness, but has found comfort in her family, and has been visited by her swampie grandson Kengee.

Personality:

Mahiri has always been quite clever. He was born as an only child in the roguelands, and his mother insisted that he get out there and find more of the world. His time alone meant her had to find his own amusement, and he spent time amassing knowledge about the world and life. In old age he is even wiser, and is very grateful for everything he has, as he has had some great tragedies in his life. Mahiri has become very fatherly. He still has a sense of humour, and considers the Pridelands his home and heart.

A little Paranoid // Family-Oriented // Socially awkward

Unfortunately, Mbari inherited his mothers anxiety, despite her best attempt to make him confident as a cub. His fathers disappearance in his childhood no doubt influenced this, and thus he is very reliant on his mother, even at adulthood. He is a little paranoid about his actions, and very shy, especially in social situations. His familiar, however, is helping to bring him out of his shell, and he has even began to find love. His fathers death has made him a little stronger and a little bolder, and he became bolder still after suffering heartbreak for the first time.

Mbari went on to find love in the unlikely lioness Alili, who is bold and loves sparring. She pulled him out of his shell, and though he still has some anxieties (particularly around his children) he is loving his new found lease on life and even managed to secure a new role, a slightly socially awkward Messenger!

Personality:

As a pup Mtanizi was adventurous and playful, much like his mother. As time went on and the cracks began to show in his birth pack, he began to question things. Once it changed into a military regime and disbanded, he was left hurt by the people he loved the most - his family. He still has a playful and friendly nature, but it is clouded by his feelings of distrust and skepticism since his youth. His mother, (with whom he is travelling) is eager to find a fresh start, and Mtanizi will grudgingly support her.

Mbaya is just... bad, in every way. Growing up, her violent outbursts stemmed from her own insecurity and jealousy over her siblings. As she grew, she fell more into her hatred and after scarring her sister for life, left the Pridelands. She loved to fight, and out of lust she bored children from Hakan'mawasii. Leaving all but one on their own in the Roguelands, she aimed to raise him to be the perfect doting son and soldier, but he was the pain and the error in his mothers way, and eventually Mbaya was left all alone. She struggled for a time, with no motivation, and struggled to come to terms with her feelings for Hakan, but now she has healed, is bitter than ever, and is ready to take on the world again.

As he began to talk to other creatures he began to see his mother for what she really was, and began to fear her. He left his mother in the Roguelands one night, and found her birth home. He was desperate to belong somewhere, and has become pacifistic and wary of others.
