Healing up what little damage Celsius had sustained, as well as brushing off the Cotton from the Mareep's attack earlier, she motioned him forward to deal with the nuisance. It was until after Celsius had already attacked that Avikna noticed something... rather... someones walking into the gate. That uniform was unmistakable. What they were doing here Avikna didn't really care to find out, but she knew one thing.. she didn't like that they could potentially ruin her training, so what better idea then just take them and their Pokemon out of the picture right away? Moving forward, the red-head waiting a few more seconds for Celsius to finish up his battle, then headed inside the gatehouse.

Entering Mahogany Town once more, Avikna make fast tracks to the Pokemon Center. She'd spend the night there, let her Pokemon rest up, then hit the gym in the morning. Confidence was wavering as she passed by the chilled gym. Mave seemed pleased with herself, keeping stride with Avikna's semi-fast pace. 'You could slide me and Arietty on your team again.. as last resorts you know?' She noted, giving the red-head a side glance. 'I mean, you wouldn't want to be utterly destroyed would you?' Avikna returned a sharp look. "I'm well aware that we won't be on par with his Pokemon." Avikna replied. "Then why make us fight? If you're not confident we can win. I'm sure I can handle myself just fine." Aislin pipped in, steadily following at Kezia's side. "Don't be naive." Avikna replied. "You have an advantage in typing, but as far as strength goes you're weak, compared to his Pokemon. He's 7th in line for a reason, Aislin." The canine replied with a sharp grunt, but said no more.
The group entered into the Pokemon center, and quickly settled in for the night. When the sun broke over the mountain range that surrounded Mahogany Town, Avikna was already awake. She'd taken this chance before everyone else had woken to switch around her team. As Mave suggested, she'd placed Arietty and the wolf onto her team, but she was confident the battle would eventually land on their shoulders. Whether they won or not was on the fence.

After everyone had awoken, Avikna made her way to the Gym as planned, on the way swapping Lexera's Amphrosite with a Sitrus berry. She wasn't going to send the sheep in there willingly knowing it was an Dragon-type while holding that odd stone. Giving her a Sitrus Berry instead to hold. Everyone else she left as they were. It wasn't long before the chill of the gym encroached upon the group, leaving them all somewhat unsteady, but otherwise ready. 'You could cut the tension with a knife.' Aislin muttered. 'I'd lend my aid in this fight, but...' "You don't need to." Avikna cut off Kezia from the remainder of her sentence. The red-head looked back, giving a sharp glare. "Your not really my Pokemon, so I couldn't ask you to do that." Kezia feined back, but she knew this as truth. Technically, Kezia wasn't anyone's Pokemon right now.. she'd crushed her ball... and still wasn't quite sure why she was sticking with this red-headed woman. Sure Aislin was the closest thing to a friend she had right now, but... nothing was really holding her back. Save the haunting thought that she was forgetting something more important than who her previous trainer had been. Aislin seemed more upset by Avikna's words than the fox did. It was an intense battle, but in the end, Avikna had won, earning herself the Glacier Badge, the tm for Hail, and perhaps a bit of Pryce's respect. Maybe. Just a little. Pryce congratulated Avikna and handed over her prize before leaving to tend to his pokemon. Avikna has recieved: Glacier Badge tm#7 Hail and 235 xp to be split between battlers
Avikna was utterly speechless. She'd entered the battle believing she'd be leaving in defeat, but some how, by the grace of Arietty she managed to win, and only barely. She'd sparingly used healing items, leaving her with the victory. Steadily recovering from Mave's failed attempt, the red-head accepted her prizes, but took a minute to officially realize she'd taken them. "I underestimated you all." She muttered, looking across the field to the sidelines where Mave rested, finally defrosted, Avikna's own limbs were starting to regain their feeling... being linked in such a way was annoying, but at least she hadn't fainted like she once had when Mave felled in battle. Arietty joined her extending an arm out towards the red-head. Normally she'd ignored the gesture but she took it this time with a stern nod. She could barely feel her legs... there wasn't anyway she was going to be walking out of there without looking stupid. 'Tch... Lotta help I was.' Mave growled as she shook the last bit of ice that clung to her mane off onto the field, burned and beaten up by Arietty's series of Inferno's. "It couldn't be helped." Avikna stated, shocking Mave some with her sincere statement. "Will rest at the Pokemon Center for the night... I'm not to sure what I should do now.... I hadn't expected us to win." Mave gave a nod, finally getting fully up to her feet and testing her stiff limbs. The perk of being a fire-type was her body warmed up a lot faster than other Pokemon, and with Mave and Arietty at her side, Avikna was also finding her strength returning her as she walked with her companions.
Several minutes later Avikna was resting in a hot bath, her head leaning back on a warmed towel. The chill that surrounded that gym had finally worked it's way out of her bones, leaving her rather content. It was still pretty early in the day, but she'd decided to skip training for a bit of relaxsation. From meeting her mother and Team Rocket, to that gym battle... she was feeling the stress in her muscles creating knots... Her mind of course wandered to various things, from Tay, to wondering how Ajicka was fairing in her own Gym battles, to Ookoth, to training and finally to training. As far as she could recall the next gyms she could go for were the Electric gym in Kalos, the Fire badge in Hoenn, Poison in Kanto, and another Ice-type gym in Shinnoh... Of course there was her home region, Unova. Sinking under the hot water, head and all she let out air to create bubbles. She didn't want to underestimate her own dragons like she'd done her team just now... but for whatever reason she just couldn't bring herself to even think she could beat Drayden... Dragon vs Dragon scared her far more than Fairy-types.... and they were immune to dragon-type moves. Leaning back once more she took a deep breath and finally got herself out of the bath and back to her room for some more rest.

By the time she'd returned to her room, the red-head had finally made up her mind. She was going to Kalos. North Lumiose was her next badge, but first she wanted to do some training on some of her weaker Pokemon. A few were only recently added to her team, so they hadn't been given much in terms of training. Sebastian looked around the town in surprise once he’d slipped off the back of the Swellow. It always surprised him when coming to one of these small towns; especially since they housed gyms of their own. It was kind of the same deal with Bugsy; it was just so out of the way. But maybe that was how they kept town’s like this relevant. By having a gym, you ensured some level of visitation and thoroughfare from fresh faces. Maybe not a lot, but enough to stay afloat. It was a crazy thing to consider but well… made sense. He shook the thought off and continued, heading once more for the center to plot his next course of action. He’d probably need to swap his team around a bit to take the gym leader here but for who and how? That would take a bit to think about.

Sebastian took the time to make the necessary adjustments, once more taking a brief trip to the Pokemart to see what they had available in the town before he did. For one, he moved Gin onto his main team; while he was semi-nervous about the idea of using her against ice types, a little reviewing showed that she would’ve been good against some of Pryce’s team. It was just a matter of doing what he could to make sure she was as strong as possible. He swapped the meadow plate for the glasses, a move that seemed to semi-dishearten the pokemon but he assured her he’d give them back after the battle. She was far cuter after all wearing them than the plate but well… for the sake of battle they just weren’t as strong. He felt the same as he prepped Dice as well; Ground wasn’t much better but he could use one of the items he’d acquired to teach the Cubone a special move that would help. Last came Snaps, who once more was given various amounts of rare candies to buff himself up, something the Pichu was more than happy to consume. Sebastian couldn’t help but notice he was beginning to get a bit of a belly; he’d probably need to stop feeding him all these candies but with him caught up he felt a little more confident in his team’s ability to handle the next gym.

Making sure the final plans were in order, Sebastian made his way for the gym. It was rather... chilly upon entering, which was semi-surprising given that the town outside was rather fair weathered. On top of that, there seemed to be an ice rink installed that he had to maneuver over in order to reach the gym leader. So it really wasn't a surprise that by the time he got to the man, Sebastian was a bit agitated. He had to slam into less than well placed stones to try and keep from skating into walls or even head for openings with flooring that would lead him on to the next section. It was ... agitating for him though by the time he got to Pryce, it was apparent the man was use to his gym puzzles agitating the challengers.
Sebastian kept words short and issued his challenge, setting Bluff down inside his bag to keep her from catching any chills. Alright, he could do this...

Sebastian had to do everything within his willpower to fight the mounting frustration as he practically stormed his way into the pokemon center. They’d been so close, so close to beating Pryce but it just hadn’t been enough. Weather hazards and type disadvantages and ******** freezing effects had turned a match that had started in his favor a complete one-eighty. He felt frustrated; embarrassed even. He wasn’t even sure what was with the conflict of emotions. Pryce certainly had praised him despite his loss; there was no condensation and well, he had very much driven the gym leader to the very last of his team; not something many often did if they were going to lose and even if they did; it was a feat in and of itself.
But that didn’t make him feel much better. Sebastian was still rather livid about the defeat; maybe because it was the first he’d ever had? Up until this point his gym battles were harrowing with close calls that he usually came out on top with; this was really the first time he’d failed.

This late into the league and well now... he was probably going to need them. Especially this time around. He stocked up on what he could, before returning to the center to retrieve his healed team. He thought long and hard about who he had and if they would work a second time… and swapped Roulette out for Spade. He felt a bit ashamed of himself for putting her out there in the first place and with the knowledge of Glalie and it’s… ******** [Attract move, the best way to avoid further issue was to use someone a little bit tougher and less likely to fall for the hockey-masked rocks dirty charms. Hopefully.
Sebastian took a breath. Alright; he was stocked and determined (if not for all the wrong reasons) to try again immediately. Pryce was probably expecting him given the circumstances. He wasn’t going to ideal by and wait a day to plot some new strategy; he had one already. And this time, he’d win. Throughout all this Bluff just watched quietly from the contents of his bag, still tucked away safely despite all the new additions; looking enamored in her own right at was clearly… not a proper Sebastian.

It didn't take Sebastian long to get back to Pryce; he remembered the route he needed to take across the ice arena to get there, though still was agitated at slamming into some of the boulders despite his best efforts not to. He was pretty sure he'd have bruises after this but for now just focused on the battle ahead. It seemed that Pryce was either expecting him to return or expecting a different trainer to appear to challenge him. Either way, he could tell that Sebastian seemed to mean business this time and didn't intend to leave unless he was the victor this time around. So be it.

Pryce nodded, a bit proud, before he recalled his last pokemon and began to make his way towards Sebastian, the light tapping of his cane on the iced floor following him with every step. "You made quite the comeback, young man," he complimented, and from the pocket of his coat he retrieved a snow-flake designed gym badge. "Here you are, the Glacier badge." Pryce paused thoughtfully. "And here, I'd say you've earned these as well," he remarked, handing over two more discs. Their match concluded and prizes handed out, the older gentleman took his leave, and lifted a hand in farewell as he began to walk away. "Be careful on your way out, now."

Sebastian eyed Pryce as the man approached, a conflicted sort of look on his face. He was certainly proud to have beaten the man this time around, but he was still agitated that it had taken a second try to do so. Admittedly, he was still salty from the earlier battle and so silently he took his winnings and tucked them away with a nod, watching Pryce head off before turning around and heading out. He needed to heal his team, again and then make for his next destination.
Dropping them off with the nurse, who seemed rather surprised to see him again so quickly, be pulled out his communicator to look at what was going on. Briefly he wondered how Huey was doing on his egg hunt, recalling his own recent discovery when it fell from his bag and Bluff hopped out to retrieve it. Maybe the boy had gotten far? Speaking of he wondered how Jay was doing too… was he still back in the cave? He’d kind of just run off from the region to go back to his own which was probably… a little messed up. Of course, if the man ever contacted him, he could just tell him as much. If he even cared.
Sebastian shook his head and resumed his research. The next and final gym for the region was…. Dragon? Well, well, well, maybe he’d be alright after all. He had a couple of pokemon his team with the ability to handle dragons and of course, others to handle any strange distractions that weren’t quite on the dragon spectrum. Perfect!
Retrieving his team from being healed, he headed outside and called up the rider, smiling in greeting as the Swellow appeared and gently patting it on the head before climbing onto its back and directing it for Blackthorn City.

Terrence moved through the small town, noticing another gym. This one seemed to be an ice type gym and to his surprise this gym leader was even stronger then the last two he saw! He didn't know how he got his pokemon to such a high level, but Terrence didn't know that he would be able to do the same in his lifetime especially when he wasn't a big fan of fighting. He moved away from the gym, making his way towards the next egg location. He was curious as to why it was called the lake of rage after all.

Terrence didn't have much reason to linger in this town for all that long, so he decided to get moving. His mind wandered towards that strange pokemon he caught earlier at the lake of rage. It's name was Klow, and it was apparently area exclusive. It must have been relatively new because he's never even heard of that pokemon before. Pursing his lips he wondered what type he was, from a glance he could be a dark type pokemon, maybe he was also part water type? That would be interesting. He'd have to do some more research before that was actually proven true though. With that he left the area and headed back towards the mountains.
