Jay didn't bother trying to wander any further around the cave-- instead, he took a seat. He rubbed a hand over his head, leaning back against the wall. He needed to at least start to try and figure out what to do for Mimey's moveset. She obviously, for whatever reason, hated this new evolved form. It was something Jay couldn't really connect to or fully understand, but he could get the gist of it. She wasn't happy with how she looked, or how it made her look. Despite having no concept of sight, he could sympathize, to some degree. It wasn't something he wished to thoughtfully delve into, and so he didn't, but it was enough to urge him to prioritize it, and he brought his bag around, digging for his book.

Machoke was leaning against the wall, her eyes closed and her arms folded over her chest, and Mawile had laid on the cave floor, snoozing loudly as he slept. Jacque continued tracing his fingers over the paper, his head rested back against the rocks behind him, his eyes closed. "Might," he replied, "But ah sure don' intend t'let it, if'n ah can help it at all." Ralts was quiet a moment. 'Well... Maybe... Maybe you should put her in the PC in the meantime,' he commented hesitantly, 'Or send her to the Day Care...' There was a frown to his voice-- thought? Whichever. "Day Care?" Pausing in his reading, Jay placed his book in his lap. "Yer sayin' there's uh place where pok'mon're let outta their pokeballs?" he questioned, frowning. Ralts looked at him quietly a moment. 'Well... yes. Sometimes they get stronger while there, too, since there's training and--'"Can ah access it with mah pokedex'r somethin'? Where do ah need ta go t'send uh pokemon there?" Ralts shuffled a little. 'I'm not sure, but Mimey--' Jay shook his head slightly, holding a hand up, even though Ralts wasn't talking. "Ah know, ah know. I ain't plannin' ta send her. But if ah can send sum've mah pok'mon where they can run 'round 'n such, stead've bein' cooped up in their pokeballs, ah'd rather do that," he explained, pulling out his pokedex. He clicked his tongue a few times, then handed it towards Ralts. "Y'mind seein' what ya can find while I go back t'searchin' through Mimey's moves?" he asked. Ralts shuffled a bit, but took the pokedex, sitting down and looking ta it a moment. It seemed a bit specialized, Jay had probably made some adjustments to it or something, but he was still able to use the functioning visual aides to navigate through it. Jay, meanwhile, had, after a pause, leaned back again, relaxing and finding his place in the book to resume reading. It was admittedly hard to decide, right on spot, which moves to get Mimey, and it didn't help that, honestly, he hadn't considered all his pokemon's moves, his strategies. He didn't even have a definite team at the moment. He pulled his hand back after a moment, trying to consider his options. There was only so much he could do right then... but at the very least, he could teach her each of the moves he knew she couldn't learn, and then, if needed, rebuild her moveset from there, replacing any unnecessary moves once she'd devolved. The only question was how to get the two TMs he would be needing for that...

There was a brief silence, then, 'And...?' Ralts prodded, frowning a bit. "And-- ya hear that?" Jacque cut himself off, turning his head to listen. Ralts blinked, trying to listen as well, and Machoke tilted her head. While his pokemon concentrated, Jay focused in on what he was sure was voices-- and then managed to make something out-- 'Bonnie'. He froze, then stepped away slightly. 'Isn't that--'"Yeah, it is. C'mon, le's get goin'," Jay muttered, turning and striding. Machoke moved to quickly pick up Gamma, who nearly yelped in surprise had she not clamped a hand over his mouth. He glared up at her, the toothed appendage snapping angrily, threatening to bite. "Trouble's close, Molly. Keep up," the fighter informed him, setting him down and keeping stride with Jay, who was leading the way, Zoey uncertainly squeaking on his shoulder. It was the only way for him to see-- but it left a sound trail for their pursuers to follow.

Jay jerked to a stop as something suddenly moved in front of him. A pokemon? No... "Ello there laddee!" Jay frowned. "'Scuse me, I--""Bahttle furst, taulk lattuh!" Jaque grimaced. "Ahm sorta--""Ain't no wun gettin' bah me, laddee!" Gritting his teeth, Jacque stepped back. "Fine. Make it quick." He really didn't have time to this, he needed to either get deep enough in the cave to hide, or get the hell out, but this guy was talking loud, and he wasn't moving. And even though Jay was more than confident he had the upper hand, here, he didn't exactly want to try and fight the guy himself to get past.

Jay was barely listening as the man incoherently muttered over his pokemon being defeated. He sent out a Lillipup, but Machoke took a step forward, bent down, and bopped it with a slap to the face, knocking it out quickly, and then drawing back. She turned to listen as well, both catching the faintest sounds of voices in the distance. The man frowned, rubbing his chin a bit. "Yer not uh fugitive, now, are ya laddee?" he asked. Jacque pinched the bridge of his nose, but didn't acknowledge the question with an answer. "There's uh bit o' a loop further down. If ya take a left, 'n follow it, it'll bring ya right back upta the same passage," he replied. Jay nodded. "Thank ya kindly," he replied, dropping his hand back to his side. And to help make up for the request, he sent Gamma out, rather than Mary Lee, against his opponent's final pokemon.

He managed a curt nod to the man, uncertain whether he could even see it or not, and quickly strode on by, heading down the passage. He lifted a hand along the side, quieting Zoey and trying to feel for the turn the man had told him about. Unfortunately, he didn't get very far before they caught up. "Hey! Wait!" Followed by running to catch up. Jay turned-- he wasn't willing to try and run in a completely rocking and uneven terrain. "Wait! Jacque, hold on--" The redhead lifted a finger, pointing blindly in the direction of the voice, and the slowing footsteps. "Y'all leave me alone. Ah know how ta defend mahself--""No! We're not here to--""We're sorry about Neroy," one of the others spoke up, the other one he'd battled with. "He's kind of a klepto--""Well, sort of. He might not have really been trying to steal--""I wasn't!""Shut up, Neroy, you're not helping--""Non of y'all are," Jay muttered, cutting them off and frowning. Machoke stood just behind him, glowering at the group, arms crossed over her chest. Gamma was by Jay's side, his arms out to the side and his posture ready to attack. Ralts was backing up.
There was a sigh, then Bonnie spoke up again. "Look, once we realized Ne was gone, we immediately came looking for him. Fae was about to just attack the creature so it would stop following them. But he wouldn't... Yet. If it tried anything he would see to it that they would not survive much longer. While walking however, a light came from the other end and was bouncing towards them. Naiya narrowed her eyes questioningly until she noticed that it was a person. A mailman if you would. And the man stopped near by. "Good afternoon. Are you.. Uh... Shenaya Aspodel?" He asked, reading her name so wrong... With a shudder, Naiya sighed. "It's Shenaiya. Pleasure. What can I do for you today?" She asked curiously. The man seemed visibly relieved as he pulled out a letter and a box. "Good. Sorry, I can't read very well. But these are for you. I have to take these to two others. Have a good day!" He said before running off after giving the girl her mail... Naiya looked after him with a raised eyebrow. Who would send her anything? Her parents didn't care that much for her. And she knew if it was her friends that they would just give it to her when they got there. At the thought of her friends, she touched the necklace Marx had given her and sighed. Placing the box under one arm and sticking the letter inside, she continued walking. They would find out soon what it was.

And your Metang, Fae is it? He seems quite suspicious of me. Oh well. I asked a question." She said looking at the girl. "I'm Shenaiya. Pleased to meet you. Himari... You can call me Naiya.
