As they sat there together Simon asked if it would be okay to train around here. Nita said of course because those thugs would take over the house making it so that the ghost Pokemon and others around here couldn't go inside of it. They would also litter a lot which was good for the Trubbish and Garbodor but even they would take the trash back to their bins. The knocked over can was just one place, behind the house there was a large dumpster where they lived. Training was just a part of the wild Pokemon life even catching them was fine just afterwards it was best to leave them alone. In fact the next morning Nita said she was going home, Simon was sticking around a bit longer to train. If the gang members return he'd scare them off again. Thanking him Nita hugged Simon, thanking him for the company before sending out her Staraptor before heading home. Waving goodbye Simon turned to the area before him but sat back down wondering what he should do first.

Since he was going to be training her Simon reached into his pack and cracked open the Sweet Incense jar. Like it's name suggested the smoke that drifted out of the jar smelled like spun sugar or something like that. Setting it in a special pocket in his pack it would allow them to travel without having to worry about juggling it or it falling out. Once the smoke faded he would switch to another one, one of the Mysterious Incense he had to train more of the weaker Pokemon. As he stepped out of the tent he started to look for a wild Pokemon to appear. The first Pokemon that he spotted was the grass Pokemon known as Amoongus, the one that looked like a Pokeball. Knowing how powerful it was Simon still sent out Charmeleon first ready to switch him out if it got too much to handle.

Before Simon could return Sonia another Amoonguss appeared wanting to possible take revenge against Simon for taking out the first one. Once again he sent out Noivern since his hurricane move was super effective against the grass Pokemon. Noivern whipped up the wing with his wings sending the Mushroom Pokemon high into the air, the damage occured when it hit the ground. Amoonguss started to take in sunlight however it was a powerful move that needed two turns to use the move and Noivern wasn't giving it the chance hurling the Pokemon up again this time winning.

According to his Pokenav Sonia would be evolving soon and the Pokedex information was actually right, the bulb on her back looked like it was glowing. Almost like she was halfway through using Solar Beam like Amoonguss had been trying when defeated. Thanking Noivern for his aid he healed him up and looked for another Pokemon. Seeing some movement in the trash Simon called Noivern and Sonia to follow. Pausing for a moment there was some more movement as a crushed soda can fell out followed by a surprised Trubbish. Looking from Simon to Noivern the Pokemon seemed to know what was going on and got ready

Simon blinked at what just happened, he had barely gotten Noivern out there when the poison Pokemon blew up. It was such a surprise that Simon took the opportunity to throw a Pokeball and actually caught the Pokemon. Checking the data on the Pokemon he could see that Trubbish was a female and after only one level she'd evolve but for now she was going home to play in the dumpster in town or something. That picture got Simon to smile as he put the Pokedex away. Keeping Noivern out there was more bubbles coming from the water again, getting ready for more Lombre they were instead attacked by, "Poliwag the tadpole Pokemon. Poliwag has a very thin skin. It is possible to see the Pokemon's spiral innards right through the skin. Despite its thinness, however, the skin is also very flexible. Even sharp fangs bounce right off it."

Catching another first stage Pokemon was great as the Pokeball whooshed away. Noivern called out so Simon turned in time to see Sonia's bulb open as the white light glowed until she evolved into Venusaur but right away the Mega Stone took effect and she changed form again into her Mega form. "How are you feeling?" he asked, she stomped. "Saur, Venu." she said. Chuckling Simon scanned her for the data then went up to her to take a picture for her former trainer. Even Noivern hovered just in the picture.

After the picture was taken and he had everyone healed and returned a new Pokemon came out of the grass, a Ditto. So out came Charmeleon and Noivern but Ditto transformed into Noivern.

As he was training up Charmeleon Simon got the message from Cherie earning a frown from him. Just because he took the time to train up specific Pokemon didn't mean he was better than anyone else. It took a long time to get Greninja, Noivern and Dusknoir up to the levels that they currently were.

Hey don't say that, you're not a loser. I've just been at this longer than you have. My three strongest Pokemon are at the max level and it took a lot of wins and losses to get them there. I also managed to get all the badges in Unova, but couldn't get all of the badges in my home region. Valerie just seems to be a gym leader I can't get past, I've lost to her at least three times now. Catching up is a great goal though, I look forward to battling you one day to see how much stronger you've gotten. -Simon
After sending the message Simon looked up to see a Sudowoodo attacking from the bushes. Returning Noivern Simon instead sent out Greninja to show Charmeleon how to take down a rock Pokemon like this one was.

The air smelled less sweet and Simon checked his pack to see that the Sweet Incense jar was empty. Picking it up he walked over to the garbage can where a wild Trubbish was playing in the trash. Shrinking away for a moment it looked at Simon carefully as Simon held out the jar to it. Setting it down before the poison Pokemon Simon backed away and watched as the wild Pokemon picked up the lid and looked inside before flipping the pot onto his head as it started to walk towards the house to the dumpster behind it. Looking at his Pokenav Simon typed in a reply before looking at Noivern and Charmeleon before returning both. Maybe he should use another Incense a Mysterious one to train up Squirtle some more since it drew in lower level Pokemon.

Wondering how it worked Simon reached into his pack and cracked open the Mysterious Incense putting it in the pocket where the Sweet one once was. The unique smelling smoke went into the air, kind of like dirt or rocks which might mean they'd be seeing Rock or Ground Pokemon soon which would be great and just as that thought popped into his mind he saw a wild Numel. Since the little ground and fire type Pokemon wasn't normally seen in these parts he knew that the smoke had drawn it and others like it to the area. Sending out Wartortle Simon pondered teaching him surf and in the end decided to go ahead and do it. Using the Pokenav and the unbreakable HM he made sure that Wartortle forgot bubble and learned how to surf. Once that was done Simon nodded and the turtle Pokemon ran forward to fight his first battle.

Sending out Dusknoir after Wartortle defeated the Numel Simon explained to Wartortle that Dusknoir could speak to him in his mind. Well yes but then again I had gone in not realizing that she had a steel Pokemon and my team was mostly all poison or had poison moves. I'm training now while also looking for items to aid in the next battle I do. Uhh, I think I did but who knows but my Pokemon were getting too strong and I needed eight badges from any region to help them obey me in battle. I think after I get the Kanto Megas I'll train up some more Pokemon to help with the poison Pokemon I have for Valerie. - Simon
Looking up from his message to her he smiled as Wartortle hit another wave of water against another Numel. It seemed like a horde of them had traveled to find the source of the sweet smelling smoke to their noses. Dusknoir floated there studying Wartortle's moves carefully watching as he trained. Dusknoir was just as intelligent as any human Simon met and part of him saw something different in the ghost Pokemon. Simon wasn't as insane to think that Dusknoir was his father reincarnated however it was a nice thought that a good person was brought back as a ghost Pokemon. It gave him hope that Ghosts were real, that the human spirit if strong enough, could become a Ghost Pokemon to help another generation become better Pokemon Trainers.

Thinking upon his team for the Elite Four he looked up on his Pokenav who were the trainers in Unova's Elite Four. There was Shauntal the Ghost trainer, who the three he had so far for his team, Greninja, Dusknoir and Noivern, would be fair against. Then there was Marshal the fighting trainer. Noivern's flying moves would be great against them but maybe train up a psychic Pokemon to be the ace for that battle. Then again most of fighting attacks couldn't hit Dusknoir so that was good as well. Next was Grimsley who was an expert in dark Pokemon, Greninja would have a slight advantage as the dark moves wouldn't be effective against him, however a fairy type would be great against his team. Finally before the champion there was Caitlin and her Psychic Pokemon. Once again Greninja and Dusknoir would be super effective against them. For the Elite Four he should start training up a fairy Pokemon and a psychic one, maybe a mix of the two if it exists. As Wartortle battled some more Simon looked it up, there was Mr. Mime as well as the Ralts evolution line. He had a Mime Jr. but not a Ralts so maybe they should go look for one since the Incense will draw more Pokemon in no matter where they went.

Turning to Dusknoir who was making sure Wartortle was okay while battling. There was no need to worry as Wartortle was having a blast using his water moves to take the ground Pokemon out at a good rate. Walking back to Dusknoir he said, "We're heading to Hoenn next.""Oh, why?""I want to catch a Ralts and Aron to train after we're done with the others. Also the third one will be Shroomish so I can get a Breloom. I want to go ahead and take on the Unova Elite Four.""I'm glad you have another goal." Once the next Numel was defeated Wartortle looked over at Simon who shook his head. "We'll stay here until the incense is gone then we will move." Wartortle nodded happily and went back to look for another ground Pokemon.

According to the Pokemon location forum on the Pokenav in Hoenn Simon could locate a Ralts in Petalburg city and Aron in Granite Cave. Both areas were on the lower level so Charmeleon could aid in looking for Ralts to get some experience while Wartortle took point in the cave since there would probably be more ground and rock Pokemon in there as well. Simon was actually quite excited to have a purpose again, for a while here he was just drifting even if he wanted to fully evolve the Kanto starters to train up other Pokemon. Now he had a reason to be training. Wanting to do it as soon as possible he was considering sending Sonia and the others home for now in order to start training Shroomish and get the others. Watching Wartortle battle he decided that he would get them fully evolved in the future but once the incense was gone they'd start the training for the Elite Four and the Champion.
