"WAHOOOOOOO!"
The shrill, delighted noise of Chancy's shrieking echoed throughout the province as the lass zipped by the numerous pedestrians in the market district whilst flying upon her beloved broom. Her hair, which was long, blonde, and unrestrained, whipped violently behind her as she shamelessly played about with her magic. Some considered her to be a nuisance - like the poor women she unintentionally upskirted as she passed. Some found her antics delightful and refreshing - mainly nostalgic old mages and the men who bore witness to said upskirting. Either way, Miss Chance didn't give a damn how people felt about her - her magic was her own and as long as the law allowed it, she would use it as she pleased. Besides, the Radiant Dawn headquarters was close enough - well in sight in fact - so she simply didn't see the harm. It was better than flying about in the libraries and sending important papers flying, wasn't it? 'Pah! Grubby ol' geezer still ain't got off my back for that, and it's been weeks!' she thought to herself in a brief moment of bitterness before losing herself once more in the sensation of being free.
~*~*~
Meanwhile, in a forest encampment only known to the greediest of scoundrels and the vilest of ne'er-do-wells, trouble was brewing. To be more specific, some big hunk of meat thought that he could to a better job ruling the ragtag group of misfits than a "bloody witch" ever could - although he hadn't used the word 'witch'. Said witch was standing in the middle of them all; calm, collected, and with enough presence to put any Queen to shame. In a way, she was, for these ungreatful pigs were her people - and she their long suffering sovereign. As baser creatures, they simply couldn't help that they were too stupid to know better than to provoke the military ice mage who - by now - has made it perfectly clear that she has absolutely no qualms about killing anyone who gets in her way. Her eyes, as blue and icy as the element she mastered, were narrowed in annoyance at the group of men before her. The biggest one, who stood in front of the few morons he'd managed to convert, was known to her as Lars. He'd been monologing for some time now about how women simply weren't fit to lead until, naturally, Circe grew bored and stopped paying attention. She might have been a lithe looking thing, but you didn't have to be strong to be an effective killer. While he'd been ranting, she'd loaded her crossbow - and without waiting for him to finish - shot the fool dead within a single shot. Before his lackies had a chance to surrender or fight back, she killed them too - but instead by icy projectiles through the skull - courtesy of her beloved Obsidian Staff. Once the matter was settled, she looked boredly to the rest of her criminal court and dully asked, "Anyone else wish to waste my time?"

"We lose more fresh blood that way." Jin commented as he squatted next to one of the bodies and poked it with a stick. "Maybe we need to add some fine print to our recruitment process. 'Do you hate women? Do you think men are superior, but enjoy living? Well, don't join us or our boss will eject your testicles, and quite likely your brain, to the moon!'" he ran a hand through the air as if he could see the writing now.

The difference between the good guys and the bad guys Standing in the medical room of the Radiant Dawn a young mage held his hand over one of the many who sat on the tables around the room. "Hold still will you." A glow formed at his side as the man lifted his staff and placed the head of it atop one of the many wounds of the person he was tending to currently. Water slowly seemed to form from the gem atop of Archus as it began to expand and cover the man's body. "Contrary to popular belief setting off an explosive fire based M.U.S.E. at close range isn't the smartest of ideas now is it?" Returning his focus to the water now coating all of the man's wounds Jacob exhaled as a faint glow shimmered thru the water as the wounds slowly began to close. After a few moments the water slowly receded back into the gem in the staff. The wounds upon the beginning mage he had treated were gone. "Now then get out of here" he commented to his patient pointing towards the doorway.
As far as a resident healer went for the Radiant Dawn Jacob had found himself to be it as it seemed that anyone who used water at all was as an offensive type spells and what few who could use it to heal weren't cut out for anything more then mending scrapes. "I need to talk to Damion some time and ask him to recruit a real medic damn it." Rubbing the side of his head violently he stopped the floor a few times. "I am sick of doing all the damn healing around here" he fumed drawing a few gazes from the patients that remained. A quick glare from him tho turned those gazes towards the ceiling instead as a loud rapping filled the air. The tip of his staff was being bounced off the floor a few times while up and down the tables he looked at each person's injuries to figure out which would be better to heal first.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In the throne room of the castle he called home Kaelthas sat. The sun filtering thru the windows far above him and bathing both himself and much of his throne in a warm light. Infront of him a lower class citizen stood his head slightly bowed as he spoke of his problems to the king. From what Kaelthas has listened to the man and his family lived towards the outskirts of the kingdom and had begun to have growing fears over a group that had started to take camp but a stones throw away from his lands. "Have patients sir. I shall have a patrol escort you homewards and check on this group of which you have fears of. If not to quiet your fears and see if there was warrant for them." Showing a soft smile to the man he beckoned for one of the guards that stood by him to do as he had said and take a small patrol with him as an escort.
Watching the guard leave with the man in town Kaelthas stood and stretched. His morning like many had been a long one already. New problems seemed to arise nightly and be layed upon him each morning by his people. Being a soft hearted ruler, he would turn away no citizen who wished to voice their problems to him . "I hope that this finds itself to be not but an over precaution by that man" he muttered to himself reaching out and wrapping his hands around Tamriel. Pulling his spear close he began to walk from the throne room. The hour he usually left his duties was now upon him and as was usually the case he planned to walk around the city. He would use the time to stretch after having been seated all day and observe the city first hand.
Is whether they use a human shield or make themselves one.
Circe almost let out a snicker, but soon settled for a wry smirk instead. Taking on a more relaxed stance, now that the smarter ones were cowed down for the moment being, Circe then snarked in response, "That implies they can read." She then looked the corpses over, losing herself in contemplation for a moment before coming up with an idea. As Jin seemed to be one of the few with any inkling of intelligence, let alone common sense, she considered him to be something of an advisor in all but name. She would never outright call him such, but Circe figured he knew his place well enough. "Maybe something simpler for their simpler minds. A display of 'those who tried before you' and all that." Of course, by 'display', chances are high she meant hanging a momento or two of their corpses. She probably wouldn't go for the head on a pike bit, though, as she found it to be too predictable and - gods forbid - overdone.
Jin stood up as he thought it over for a moment. "How about this then. A mugshot of each of these dumbasses, each one with 'MISOGYNIST' below it. And then the tagline 'Break the combo! Join today!'" He once again seemed rather proud of that one, but then frowned. "Wait, no, never mind. Still too big a word for them to understand."
Levi walked into the bar and soon as he did everyone's eyes were locked on him. "You know people in this town really aren't welcoming, or at least come off that way." He thought to himself as he approached the bar. There was the bartender standing behind the counter giving him and evil eye. "Good sir what food would you recommend. I have been traveling a long way and I am starving." He said then laughed but got interrupted.
"We don't like your kind here! We don't need anymore trouble." He said then nodded to the Knights at the back who stood up and started walking towards Levi.
Levi noticed the guards and sighed. "You do realize I am not who you think I am." He said and then saw the knights draw their swords. "This is why we can't have nice things." He said and then moved his hand a bit and a blast of wind gushed everywhere and when they all noticed he was gone.
The knights saw he was gone and one of the knights put his sword up and looked at the others. "Send squads one through four after him. And send squad five to alert the king of a attack." He said then they nodded and quickly were off.
Damion stood up after sitting down for a while and decided to walk down to the lower floor to see what everyone was up to. When he got down there some people had left of missions and others were eating. And one was asleep on a table in the corner. "You got to love these guys." He said to himself and laughed as he sat at the bar and faced the door.
{Alrighty. ^u^}
"I like the 'break the combo!' bit. Maybe we could just hang the heads of those that tried from a tree by their hair - or rope through the eye sockets if they're bald and beardless - with the slogan carved onto said tree?" Circe then began to look over the nearby foliage, contemplating the idea. It wasn't unpleasant, but then again, did she really want to put the effort in? ...What was she thinking?! She's the Bandit Queen, Cold-Hearted b***h Extrodinaire! She could just put the work off on some insignificant minion or another if she really wanted it done.
"Er, if we do, I volunteer to not have that job." Jin said raising his hand with some discomfort. "I'm not exactly fond of the whole 'goring of your enemies' thing. I don't really do blood." Mind you, just because he wasn't fond of dismemberment and excessive violence towards his enemies didn't mean he had a problem with the boss lady or anyone else doing it. To each their own, and all that, and he wasn't dumb enough to cross the boss lady like that.
(You can also have Chancy talk to Damion razz )
Levi appeared on a rooftop and saw the knights running through the streets. He said again and sat down. "You know I heard this place has been having bad bandit problems. But I didn't think they would just mistake anyone for one of those idiots." He said as he put his hand on his stomach and it growled again. "Now this is just cruel." He sighed and sat there until the knights moved on and he stood up and used the wind to start jumping from rooftop to rooftop.
{Ask and I shall deliver.}
Chancy was, at this point, flying high. Above the buildings, above the hustle, above everything and she loved it. At least, until she lost control. Her girlish giggles soon turned to frightened yelps and pleading for the damned broom to obey her once more. She fought for control over the winds, but it was simply too strong. So, she did the next best thing - aimed her path towards the Radiant Dawn guild hall as best as she could. Instead of the winds calming as she approached, they picked up pace, and she screamed in terror as her broom headed towards a window and...
*CRASH*
Chancy and her not-so-faithful broom burst through a window, skidding and tumbling across the floor until she was a bruised and scraped up mess...right at Damion's feet. All she could do was let out a meak moaning of, "Owowowowowowow......!"
~*~*~
Now, Circe couldn't resist letting out a bark of laughter at that. "Of course not! That's grunt labor at best and I need you for the actual work." It would be a waste of a perfectly good infiltrator and thief to have him working away at home decor. No, that sort of work is best left to peons like Lars - or his soon to be replacement. "Speaking of which, I need to speak with you in private once you've the opportunity."
"Hey, you know me. No gig? No plans." Jin said as he boredly folded his hands behind his head. Now that the knuckleheads were dead, it was unlikely there'd be anymore excitement for the day. At least not on par with Circe's idea of handing out pink slips.
(wow you destroyed my window XD )
Damion looked down at Chancy and then looked at the window and the path of destruction she had made in his guild hall. He looked at the other members who were now looking at Chancy and quietly whispering to themselves. Then then his eye moved to the one member still passed out on the table and smiled a bit and looked back at Chancy. "You are definitely a bundle of energy young lady. But you should remember by now that when you fly at high speeds the wind magic becomes even harder for you to control. You should really keep to lower speeds until you know what your doing. Is this like the seventh time you broke one of the windows?" He said then laughed a little bit and then snapped his fingers and bright flash of light came from him and everything in the guild was back to normal. Her cuts even seem to fade. He then grabbed her hand and helped her up. "Just please try to be more careful dear. I can always fix the guild but i won't always be able to fix u. And I am sure Jacob is already tired of being our medic." He said then grabbed a cup off the bar and poured a sweet drink into it and handed it to Chancy.
{Yes I did. ^u^}
"I knew there was a reason I like you. Follow me." Circe turned and headed towards her tent, a small smile lingering on her lips. Many women in her position would probably feel it inappropriate to invite a man to her private sleeping quarters; but, of course, these were bandits and propriety had no say here. Not only that, but most men under her charge held a healthy fear of her and were not stupid or suicidal enough to make any untoward advances. Besides, she was as chaste and uninterested in men - or women - as it got, so anyone that truly knew her would expect a visit to her quarters to be nothing more than strictly business. Of course, this being Circe, business could be anything from financial scheming to having her guests murdered in a myriad of slow and painful ways.
~*~*~
Chancy remained quiet for the moment being, her gaze locked rigidly onto her feet. She was thankful enough for the healing, the cleaning of the mess she made, and the admittedly delicious drink, but she still felt like a child being reprimanded by a much too patient father figure. "I know, I know..." she grumbled, a grumpy pout firmly settled upon her face. "I'll be more careful next time." Which, of course, was a damned lie and everyone knew it. She would probably get lost again in the sensation of wind, of freedom, and ultimately lose control at the worst possible time. Knowing the truth did little to assuage her bitterness, however. If anything, it only made her feel worse.
Sticking his hands in his pockets, Jin followed Circe obediently and without fear. He was smart enough to stay on her good side, so outside of his early days where he didn't know better and received a few scary threats and warnings, he continued to not piss her off or push her buttons. He tried to avoid making enemies for the sake of his hide. He liked living, thanks.
