___Background:
___Long ago, in the northern most reaches of the world, twin clans of powerful yet peaceful peoples rested outside of the grip of war. Almost identical in tradition yet completely different in action: one clan stood out, no shame in their abilities; the other shy, reserved, and unnoticeable. When the inner world’s resources began to dimmer, the peoples of the center lands searched and searched, till at long last they had discovered the clans of the Glacial North, and the vast frozen resources they settled atop. For decades the clans were watched in silence, their onlookers tucked into every shadow. In those many years of observation, center landers witnessed in awe the power of the shameless clan. Their showoff nature resulting in the watchers’ complete understanding of their abilities, however the self-secluded and reserved clan was given little attention. They boasted their power in secretive minority—the watchers abandoning any desire for in-depth analysis.
___When the time at long last came, those who had watched and researched for years appeared before the two clans: sword in hand and greed in eye. The clan who was shameless in the usage of their power was the first to fight back. Unfortunately, their resistance was for not; the watchers had seen every possible outcome brought forth by the clan’s abilities, and showed little complication in countering and conquering their every efforts. In what seemed like an instant, the entire clan was obliterated; their land cultivated and made home for the center land’s miners. However, the sect of watchers sent to take out the shy clan was met with a defensive they had no fathomable idea of how to deal with. Before they could venture far into the village, the watchers were coiled within a deep, sudden, stalking blizzard. After countless days of attempting to wait out the storm, the watchers had finally realized, by the white frost creeping on the corpses of allies, that they had fallen into a trap meant to break body and spirit.
___The shy clan had conjured this weirding weather, storms that would sweep through the entire northern nation for years. The watchers of the center lands were forced to either retreat, or die a cold and grim death. They were successful in defending their homeland, but they learned that so long as they stayed in one location, there would eventually be a day when they would be endangered again. And they could not be for certain that the center landers, or some other, new force, would not return stronger, and prepared. Due to this fear, families were sent from the homeland to occupy various locations around the world. Anything for a greater chance of continuing their heritage.

___Traits:
The Shinsetsu clan ninjutsu is a variation of Yukiton [ Snow ].
Shinsetsu clan members must have Wind and Water as their chosen chakra elements.
Shinsetsu clan members' chakra is a color variant of white or blue.
Shinsetsu clan members are born with a natural attribute, listed below.

___Special Abilities:
Tsumetai [ Cold to the Touch ]
Description: The skin of each Shinsetsu clan member is chilled; producing a refreshing, almost intoxicating aura. This aura does not stretch far from one's person, and only the Shinsetsu and those in direct contact with him/her can truly appreciate the feeling. Because of this attribute, humidity is a foreign concept to the Shinsetsu, and only the most extreme of heats will cause those within Tsumetai's effect to break a sweat. Additionally, this consistent cold has weathered their skin and innards, providing an internal and external resistance to freezing temperatures. Although not exactly tropical, it should be noted that thanks to their relaxing aura, the Shinsetsu are considered some of the most desirable lovers in the world.

___Techniques:
Hatsuyuki [ First Snow ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: This technique allows the Shinsetsu to release and shape the various chakra of their body; creating pure white clouds with only a single handsign as needed preparation. Hatsuyuki clouds are the size of a human adult's torso, can be motioned freely through the air—following the creator's hand gestures, and spread out and twisted like sheets of sand for various purposes; but often must maintain a clod-like shape when being used for other techniques. The only real restriction to their moldability being that the white lumps stay within a three (3) yard radius of their creator at all times. The clouds, at first glance, are nothing but clusters of snow; though closer examination would prove such initial observances merely skimming glances. The white that makes up these clouds is extremely cold, as a result of the creation process of instantaneously, yet consistently mixing water chakra, wind chakra, and the Shinsetsu's naturally frigid chakra. The user may only have a set number of Hatsuyuki active at a time ( dictated by rank ), but clouds can be replaced after they have been used as material for other techniques. Must learn before proceeding to other techniques. Does not receive learning reductions. According to your status rank, the number of clouds you produce with each usage of this technique, and the number of clouds you can maintain differ.

___C-Rank: Creates 1 cloud; Maximum 4 clouds.
___B-Rank: Creates 2 clouds; Maximum 6 clouds.

Yukimari [ Snowball ]
Rank: E :: Spiritual
Hazard Primary: None
Description: A very simple technique that, on its own, has little battle purpose. The Shinsetsu presses either hand against their Hatsuyuki cloud, pulses chakra out of their palm, and causes a perfectly tight and round hand-sized ball to launch from it. Items and small weapons can be hidden within the snow before it is fired, increasing the lethality of a Yukimari proportionately to what it holds.

Kousetsu [ Snowfall ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Hazard Primary: External
Description: The Shinsetsu alters and sends their Hatsuyuki clouds overhead, where they will expand to roughly three (3) yards in diameter. At the whim of the user, these clouds can be broken open, allowing their flaky contents to sprinkle down below. Although the snowfall created by this technique is fairly moderate, it can serve as a unique tool during battle; be it as a distraction, obscurement, or refreshment. It should be noted that like similar snowfall techniques, Kousetsu is much more effective in medium-sized areas. Because the Hatsuyuki have become altered by this technique, they can be replaced after activation. Duration: five (5) posts.

Yukibakudan [ Snowbomb ]

Description: The Shinsetsu presses their hands against their Hatsuyuki cloud, pulses chakra from their palms all throughout the snow, aims, and launches the entire Hatsuyuki at their target. When the newly formed bomb makes contact, it will explode into wrapping webs of white wind, causing extreme freezing: enough to turn water to ice in a short period of contact. Inflicts 1 dose of frostbite to anyone in the area, instead of 1/2, per post.

Fuyu no Ibuki [ Breath of Winter ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual

Description: The Shinsetsu closes their eyes, holds a single handsign to their chin, takes a deep breath, and then exhales a twisting cone of white wind and fractal snow; freezing and pushing those within its range. The cone stretches about three (3) feet wide, and extends roughly fourteen (14) feet before diminishing. Inflicts 1 dose of frostbite to anyone in the area, instead of 1/2, per post.

Fuyu no Unari [ Winter's Howl ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual

Description: The Shinsetsu holds a single handsign to their chest, calling their Hatsuyuki clouds to gather closely around them. After being collected, the clouds are given the orders to stretch into one another and spin; creating a white tornado ( height and thickness proportionate to the number of clouds linked ), which follows the user's directions: brandishing powerful winds to protect oneself, or trap one's target. As the Hatsuyuki whisk around, they make an eerie howling and whistling noise, which is how the technique got its name. It should be noted that the eye of the tornado is extremely cold, temperatures only a Shinsetsu or the prepared can withstand for long. Duration: three (3) posts or until dismissed. Inflicts 1 dose of frostbite to anyone in the area, instead of 1/2, per post.

Fubuki Hira no Jutsu [ Snowstorm Palm Technique ]

Description: After channeling and holding chakra into one of their palms, the Shinsetsu aims their hand at their target, and releases a twisting whirlwind packed with snow. The winds harshly shuffle enemies around with ease, and anything caught within them for long will be crippled by sheer cold. The whirlwind stretches about four (4) feet wide, and extends roughly eighteen (18) feet before diminishing. Inflicts 1 dose of frostbite to anyone in the area, instead of 1/2, per post.

Boufuusetsu no Unari [ Blizzard's Bellow ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual

Description: The Shinsetsu holds both of their arms straightforward, pulls them in once as they breathe, and then motions them outward as they release a burst of white wind from their mouth. This technique is not meant to deal much damage, but it packs a tremendous amount of cold and exerting force; allowing one to disrupt, dislodge, and throw targets. The wave stretches about fifteen (15) feet wide, and extends roughly fifteen (15) feet before diminishing. Inflicts 1 dose of frostbite to anyone in the area, instead of 1/2, per post.

Hanpou Kousetsu [ Rampant Snowfall ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual

Description: The Shinsetsu alters and sends their Hatsuyuki clouds overhead, where they will grow to become roughly five (5) yards in diameter. With the snap of the user's fingers, these clouds crack open, casting a powerful blizzard of heavy snow and powerful winds down below; slowly freezing and plodding those caught within. Although brief, this storm is capable of leaving the region it afflicts a wasteland of glistening white. It should be noted that like similar snowfall techniques, Hanpou Kousetsu is much more effective in medium-sized areas. Because the Hatsuyuki have become altered by this technique, they can be replaced after activation. Duration: three (3) posts. Inflicts 1 dose of frostbite to anyone in the area, instead of 1/2, per post.

Yuki-onna no Houyou [ Snow Woman's Embrace ]

Description: As if a beckoning hand through a raging snowstorm, this hold is meant to be a powerfully captivating weapon, capable of decommissioning foes swiftly, and quietly. The Shinsetsu attempts to latch onto their target with a single hand, the opposite hand held firmly in vertical alignment, as if offering a prayer. If successful, the user will instantaneously engulf their prey with a grim chill: first starting at the held area, before encroaching to the rest of the body. The initial burst of cold is often the most effective surge, making caught limbs useless due to extreme numbness—if not simply afflicting them with frostbite. Inflicts 4 doses of frostbite to anyone grasped, instead of 1, per post, to the grasped area.

Hyou [ Hail ]

Description: The aim of this technique is to increase the immediate lethality of the Shinsetsu's otherwise daunting abilities. Not an attack on its own, Hyou is used to modify other Shinsetsu techniques, making the snow within them as hard as stone through intensive chakra concentration; increasing striking and knockdown power while reducing chilling effects. Rather than costing {80} chakra to perform, each modified technique costs an additional {20} chakra.

Teikiatsu Kousetsu [ Cyclone Snowfall ]
Rank: S :: Spiritual

Description: The Shinsetsu alters and sends their Hatsuyuki clouds overhead, where they will exponentially girth to roughly ten (10) yards in diameter, darkening as they do. When the user holds their hand skyward, the now black clouds will burst open, encircling the area below with snowy whirlwinds, making entering and exiting said grounds a trial for anyone. These secluding winds are just a taste, however, of the true power of Teikiatsu Kousetsu; the incredible blizzard technique that was used en masse to save the Shinsetsu clan so long ago. By taking aim, performing a short string of handsigns, and holding their grip on the last sign, the Shinsetsu is able to call down a dark snow twister from the Hatsuyuki clouds above—slender pillars of frosty tempest crashing down like lightning; freezing, tearing, and tossing those they strike. It should be noted that the short string of handsigns is needed for each individual twister, though once initiated, the user can break away to perform other actions. Unlike other snowfall techniques, Teikiatsu Kousetsu is much more effective in large areas, so as not to damage allies. Although the Hatsuyuki have become altered by this technique, they cannot be replaced after activation, only once the duration of the technique has passed. Duration: five (5) posts. Inflicts 2 doses of frostbite to anyone in the area, instead of 1/2, per post.

___Background:
___The Hari Clan is special clan that utilizes a special element, "Glass". Rivals of many of their elemental counterparts, this clan is calm and lays low. Depending on the Chakra amount, this clan can create Glass that is shatterproof in density. Denser Glass will have a greener tint to it, but this can be changed with added Chakra. This clan uses a combination of three Elemental Styles Earth, Wind, and Fire. The clans techniques can be created anywhere, even from their own bodies, similar to Mokuton counterpart. This technique Garasu (Glass Release) Technique, works by combining near by Sand and Wind, combining with the techniques implemented heat source, by touch, creating a glass.

___Traits:
Those of the Hari Clan possess the elements Doton [ Earth ] and Katon [ Fire ].
Shatter-proof glass can crack, but will keep its form.

___Techniques:
Garasu Bunshin [ Glass Clone ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: The user will perform the necessary hand seals. Then a glass clone will emerge itself from the user’s body or a touched object. When destroyed, this clone will shatter into many sharp glass pieces that can cut the enemy.

Garasu Shuriken [ Glass Shuriken ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: The user will extrude a sharp and dense shuriken or kunai from their hand.

Garasu Shouheki no Jutsu [ Glass Barrier Technique ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: The user will perform this Ninjutsu technique by forming the necessary Hand Seals and touching the ground. This will create a shatterproof glass wall/barrier in front of the user.

Garasu Yoroi no Jutsu [ Glass Armor Technique ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: The user will form glass armor on their body. This armor consisting of a green tinted Chest Plate, Helmet, Grieves, Gauntlets, and boots is very dense. After 3 hits to a piece, that piece will become useless.

Garasu Subeta no Jutsu [ Glass Sword Technique ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: The user creates a dense and sharp sword from their body or a touched object. This weapon lasts 10 posts.

Garasu Ni-Doru no Jutsu [ Glass Needles Technique ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: The user touches the ground in front of themselves, creating a large line of glass needles from the ground. These glass needles are very sharp and the Jutsu itself can create a line that is 10-20 meters long.

Garasu Sajiki no Jutsu [ Glass Box Technique ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: The user forms several hand seals and touches a target, encasing them in a box of glass. This box is shatterproof and is very difficult to get out of. Because of the glass being airtight, it can cause suffocation if left alone for too long.

Garasu Chikei no Jutsu [ Glass Terrain Technique ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: The user forms several hand seals and warps the battle terrain, turning it into slick and smooth glass requiring non-Hari Clan members use the Water Walking and/or Tree Walking techniques to stay upright. Once the terrain has taken enough damage, the glass will shatter into large shards that can easily cut flesh. Hari

Amegarasu Kiregire [ Raining Glass Shards ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: After the necessary hand seals have been formed, a cloud of wind and sand will form in the sky. With the wind and the sand violently moving within this cloud, the sand will create enough friction to create raining glass shards to fall from the sky. These shards can range from very small shard that cause itching or irritation of the eyes, to very large shards that can cut the flesh with ease. This rain will continue until the user stops this Jutsu or until the Jutsu has ceased. Can be maintained past the second post for half its original cost per post.

Amekikan no Jutsu [ Raining Mirrors Technique ]
Rank: S :: Spiritual
Description: While using Amegarasu Kiregire [ Raining Glass Shards ], the user will form the necessary hand seals to create the clan’s ultimate attack. The raining shards will form into large mirrors that will fall to the ground, shattering. These are very large mirrors that will cause great damage on impact. The mirrors can also be used to conceal where the user is. Adds half its rank onto the sustain costs of Amegarasu Kiregire [ Raining Glass Shards ].

Saiketsu

___Background:
___Formulated by the Ketsueki clan of Water Country's outer lands; the art of Saiketsu is a specialty seen only by those who are deemed worthy by the clan's higher-ups. The Ketsuki were secluded, silent, and extremely picky. Forging few bonds, making less friends, and allowing little to none to join their ranks. This was not only partial to their attitudes, but also because of their feeling that only the purest of the pure be allowed to learn their particular skills and abilities. Those who managed to scramble a position in the Ketsueki clan were not only pure of heritage, but possessed incredible potential in all physical chakra arts.
___The main reason for the Ketsueki's picky behavior was in fact a direct result of the requirements of their clan jutsu. The Saiketsu jutsu, or technique of drawing blood, demands that the user have at least above average chakra control and wealth. Saiketsu pulls the blood from a wound on the user's body, shapes it, and hardens it into a gem like stasis. Although the act of pulling blood is possible with non-elemental chakra, without manipulation over water it cannot be crystallized and made a useful weapon. A method made infamous, and held secret, by early members of the Ketsueki clan.

___Traits:
Throughout the Saiketsu technique descriptions the word "Dehydration" will arise a few times. Dehydration simply means that the limb which it applies to has been utterly drained of blood. However, because of the practice of the Saiketsu jutsu, this state of dehydration typically only lasts a moderate amount of time (4 posts).
All Saiketsu users have Suiton [ Water ] as one of their chakra elements.
Saiketsu users rely heavily on Suiton [ Water ] ninjutsu. Learning requirements for Suiton ninjutsu are reduced by 1 post.
Saiketsu users can form the seals for Suiton [ Water ] ninjutsu with a single hand.
Saiketsu users regenerate blood very quickly and as such are not likely to die of blood loss.
Saiketsu usage isn't available until mid-teenhood. ( Character age must be 14+. )
Raiton [ Lightning ] elemental attacks can reduce the Saiketsu user's control over their techniques. ( As blood is a conduit for electricity. )

___Techniques:
Akaishi [ Red Stone ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: The act of crystallizing one's own blood. After drawing blood in anyway, the user will shape it then pump additional chakra through it, in order to make it as hard as stone and as sharp as a typical blade. This basic form of Saiketsu is really only good for small amounts of blood, with which one can form small projectiles. Must learn before proceeding to other techniques.

Sasu no Hari [ To p***k with a Needle ]
Rank: E :: Spiritual
Description: The user draws a small amount of blood from their pores, allowing them to create a very small needle. This needle is thin and only stretches about 3 inches- basically a sewing needle. Its main purpose is simply to pierce the user in order to draw additional blood.

Arei no Hari [ Array of Needles ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: The user takes aim with a single hand and then launches 15 stone red pin needles from the pours of that hand.

Shinku Wa [ Crimson Ring ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: With a flick of the hand, the user draws their own blood and flings a sharp ruby disc roughly the size of the palm.

Ken no Rubi [ Blade of Ruby ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: Draining a good amount of blood from either hand, the user is able to create a red stone sword of any shape they choose. The usage of this technique results in the dehydration of the drained hand.

Ikatsui Tsume [ Grim Claw ]
Rank: C
Description: The user surges blood from either of their hands, resulting in dehydration of the chosen. The blood will wrap around the fingers of the user, crystallizing whence they've stretched out about eight inches.

Chi Pa-ji [ Blood Purge ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: The user places a hand over an open wound, slowly funneling any foreign or poisonous agents. Unfortunately, this process takes a good amount of time (4 posts).

Aka Kouseki Keppei [ Red Crystal Clot ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: Whenever a severe wound is dealt to the Saiketsu user, they are able to almost instantaneously crystallize this wound to prevent excessive blood loss. Can only be used three times per battle.

Aka Harinezumi no Sujou [ Birth of Red Porcupine ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: From any conscious position, the user will flood their body with chakra, pressing small amounts of blood from every pour. In a flash moment, the user will then crystallize every single strain of blood inching from their flesh. This hasty maneuver offers a wonderful defensive retaliation. It should be noted that this technique does not have very impressive range, stretching only about 6-7 inches.

Kyuuketsu [ Donation of Blood ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: The user pulses chakra throughout their body in order to recuperate lost blood. Simply put, this is a way to rehydrate multiple limbs in exchange for chakra. Can only be used once per post.

Sabi Kougake [ Rust Colored Gauntlet ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: By forcing all of the blood from a single arm to rise and wrap, the user is able to generate a protective and offensive armament. A full arm length hunk of crystallized armor. The tip of the gauntlet is typically twisted and divided into a trio of drill-like fingers, while the length is a series of five platted discs. It should be noted that behind the gauntlet, the user's arm is dehydrated.

Akahagane [ Red Steel ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: Realizing that stone wasn't exactly the sturdiest of materials, the Ketsueki clan developed a method to increase the strength and durability of their techniques. By applying additional chakra to their jutsu in thin twisting layers, the Saiketsu user is able to make their end product as tough as steel and as sharp as a fresh blade. Each modified technique costs an additional [20] chakra.

Kekkon Shinryu [ Divine Dragon Stained with Blood ]
Rank: S :: Spiritual
Description: Making total use of the blood within the arms, the user releases a harsh straightforward torrent of blood- shaped like a menacing eastern dragon -upon the target. Rather than causing direct damage, if this dragon manages to make contact with its target, it will attempt to drive itself into the enemy's veins. Traveling throughout the body, the dragon will attempt to reach the heart chamber of its victim where it will begin to slowly close its maw upon the heart itself. As the dragon's fangs sink into the enemy's heart, the deliverance of the final bite is controlled fully by the whim of the user. Needless to say, this technique could easily be used for torture or blackmail. It should be noted that both arms and nearly the entire upper torso region become dehydrated after usage.

The Oni Clan

___Background:
___The Oni were originally a clan of horned humanoids from the far off mountains of Stone Country, where they stayed blissfully unaware of the workings of the outside world. In their solitude the Oni found great pleasure in all sorts of gaming and competition- often creating new games from some of the most simplistic materials in the world. Because of their love for games, the Oni are a very competitive race, and it is very unlikely that you will ever find an Oni clan member that will shun or not participate in some form of contest. Unfortunately for the rest of the inhabitants of the mountains, one of their favorite "games" happened to be geiin... or... heavy drinking. Because of their deep desire to compete, and love for the sauce, the Oni would challenge any and everyone that lived on or ventured to the mountains to all sorts of drinking games.
___As one would imagine, the Oni were the almighty and undisputed rulers of their drunken domain. There was not a single being on the mountain, not even wild life, that could put up a challenge. Bored by the mundane and effortless victories, the Oni began to scout their mountains- to be sure they overlooked no one in their drunken state.
___Unable to find a challenge within its rigid peaks, the Oni stretched their search to the seas that bordered their mountains.
___Unable to find a challenge within its slapping tides, the Oni stretched their search to the skies that bordered their mountains.
___Unable to find a challenge within its pure clouds, the Oni stretched their search to the volcanoes that bordered their mountains.
___Unable to find a challenge within its red cauldrons, the Oni stretched their search to the plains that bordered their mountains.
___Before they realized it, the Oni had ended up completely abandoning their mountains. Their once beloved home had become a better forgotten memory of drunken nostalgia. As the Oni scouted the rest of the world, they discovered more and more varieties of activities that lured them from their old lifestyle. It was more than just competition that taunted them- entirely different lifestyles became possible, it was merely a matter of adapting to the ways of human life. And although difficult, the Oni, once secluded in their mountains, are trying their hardest to bend to the whims of such human complexity. All of its aspects; civilian, royalty, and ninja alike, anything they'd find some fun in.

___Traits:
The Oni clan ninjutsu are known as Saketon [ Alcohol ].
The Oni bear a pair of tan or beige colored horns. These horns symbolize their strength.
The horns of an Oni are extremely sharp, and extremely well stitched to their head. It is almost impossible to remove them.
If the horns of an Oni are somehow removed, they will grow back within two months.
The Oni are physically durable. ( Able to take more of a beating than normal humans. )
The Oni are Katon [ Fire ] resistant. Although they take damage from fire ninjutsu, they are not offset by the impact.
If the horns of an Oni are removed, they lose all control over their bloodline abilities.
Unless they live a sober lifestyle, an Oni is weakened if they are not “alco-hydrated."

Description: The Oni clan member is able to take any amount of water, entrust it with their chakra, and cause it to change into a fine alcohol known as sake. If someone is to consume the chakra enhanced sake, they will restore however much chakra was used to create it. A single usage of this technique can create a quart of sake.

Sake Kiri no Jutsu [ Sake Mist Technique ]

Description: The Oni will gather sake in their mouth, swish it against their cheeks once or twice- imbuing it with chakra -and then release it in a moderately wide smoke... er... sake screen. Because of its contents, it is not only obscuring, but also semi-intoxicating.

Sake Soeki no Jutsu [ Sake Pest Technique ]

Description: The Oni will manipulate sake with their chakra to create three clones that are roughly one third [1/3] the height of the original user. These clones aren't particularly strong, and are destroyed in one hit, but they can become quite bothersome in hordes.

Description: An extension to [ Sake Soeki no Jutsu ].
The Oni will pluck a single strand of hair from their head and place it onto the head of one of their sake pests. The strand of hair from the original is filled with chakra, which will transfer to the pest. On the user's command, the sake pest will explode- a blast three times the size of the pest. The explosion causes impact damage, and can knock someone out, more than anything else.

Tebukuro no Sake [ Alcoholic Gloves ]

Description: The Oni will coat their fists with sake, and then apply one of their chakra elements to the newly formed gloves. Fire will result in burning punches; water in extended punch range; wind in corkscrew punches; earth in heavy punches; or lightning in electrical punches. Lasts [8] posts.

Chinsui Mosaku no Jutsu [ Drunk Groping Technique ]

Description: The Oni will gather sake in their mouth, swish it against their cheeks once or twice, and then spew a glob of alcohol which expands into a well sized puddle after making contact with a surface. As the puddle of sake is imbued with the Oni’s chakra, it will react when another chakra signature is nearby. If an enemy, or even an ally, steps over this puddle, anywhere from six to sixteen hands of sake will rise up and restrain the intruder. Just watch out- they’re kind of grabby.

Sake Tama no Jutsu [ Sake Bullet Technique ]

Description: The Oni will gather sake in their mouth, swish it against their cheeks once or twice- imbuing it with chakra -and then release it in thumb-sized pellets. The impact of the pellets isn't enough to pierce straight-through, but it will cause a good amount of blunt damage.

Shikon Hoppeta Kasei [ Purple Cheeked Growth ]

Description: Taking in a deep breath, the Oni will gather chakra into their upper torso, hold it there, and then let it spread throughout their body as they exhale. The pulsation of chakra causes the Oni’s body to expand- doubling in size. For a moderate amount of time, the Oni will be able to fight with increased durability and physical prowess, at the cost of a minor speed reduction. After the duration of the growth ends, the Oni will need to vomit. Lasts [6] posts.

Merutodaun no Tenou [ Heaven's Meltdown ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: The Oni will wrap an arm or leg with a good amount of sake. Imbued with chakra, the alcohol will form a skin around the aligned limb. With the sake attached to the Oni's limb, they are free to attack in two different ways; mid ranged- manipulating the sake to increase range, or far ranged- throwing off the sake in pieces like projectiles. Lasts [6] posts.

Zansatsu o Kijou Oni [ Massacre on Mount Oni ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: The Oni grasps their opponent, typically a single hand to a loose limb. With a firm grip, they will then swing around in succession, spinning until they see fit or until they become dizzy. The Oni will then slam their opponent into the ground in one swift leaping drop. The impact of this technique is enough to break boulders, needless to say what it can do to a normal human.

Okkuu Soeki no Jutsu [ Annoying Pest Technique ]

Description: An adaption to [ Sake Soeki no Jutsu ]. Granting them ever more methods to aggravate their target, this technique allows the Oni to mold their sake pests into flying beasts of burden. With a snap of the finger, the sake pests sprout a pair of wings and are thusly capable of flight.

Merutodaun no Naraku [ Hell's Meltdown ]
Rank: S :: Spiritual
Description: The Oni will wrap their entire body in a skin of chakra infused sake. The sake will slowly torrent itself around the user, acting like a constantly flowing armor. Much alike [ Alcoholic Gloves ], the user is then able to apply a chakra element to the sake- fire for a burning shell; water for an extending shell; wind for a swift rotating shell; earth for a powerful shell; or lightning for a zapping shell. In addition to these outer effects, the Oni will also receive a physical bonus. Fire and earth result in physical strength; wind and water result in physical defense; and lightning results in physical speed. ( For example, if you apply fire to your sake shell, it will be like wearing a barrier of flames, while also having your physical strength increased. ) Lasts [6] posts.

A Bond Deeper than Blood

___Background:
___The group of families known as the Miyamoto clan, name meaning "base of the shrine", are descendants of the great monks who worshiped at the temples standing atop the tallest mountains of the eastern continents. The early Miyamoto believed that the higher they could reach, the closer to God they would become. Although they had no intention of receiving any gifts or otherworldly gratification through their prayers; a minor genetic mutation, which allowed them to control a pseudo-element they know as reikon ( soul ), had unexplainably developed. Due to their peaceful and understanding nature, rather than using the element to impose on others, the Miyamoto used it to reverse injury- mending bones and knitting flesh. It wasn't too long after they began their healing ways that they realized reikon ( manipulated as Konton [ Soul Release ] ) could be used to invigorate and temper flesh, as well as repair it. However, in time, the simple connection between healer and wounded, supporter and supported, was found to be deeper than something as simple as one person assisting another. With faith and dedication, it was something that could become a powerful bond; one that the Miyamoto could hold firmly, and shoulder pain with. A link amongst the very soul.

___Traits:
All members of this bloodline come from a branch of the Miyamoto clan. This does not mean you are from the same nuclear family, however.
Most techniques of the Miyamoto clan are known as Konton [ Soul Release ].
Miyamoto clan members have somewhat fragile bodies. Moderate Fortitude decrease.
Miyamoto clan members have deep chakra pools. Chakra pool maximum +40.
Miyamoto clan members can perform Eiseijutsu [ Medical Techniques ] with one hand.
Miyamoto clan members can channel Eiseijutsu [ Medical techniques ] through their established links.
It is impossible for a Miyamoto clan member to link to themselves.
Miyamoto clan members cannot learn Rigorous Taijutsu or Bukijutsu styles.
Up to 2 ability increasing techniques can be active on a single target at once.
The same ability increasing technique cannot be active multiple times on a single target.
Seirei connection techniques only consume chakra on their activation. They do not require sustaining for the course of their duration unless otherwise stated.

___Special Abilities:
Mukei Enko [ Spiritual Connection ]
Description: The most basic technique of the Miyamoto clan in which all other techniques are derived and operated. Through a whim and moment of physical contact, the user creates a connection between themselves and the subject. This connection is the Miyamoto tactic; it opens a gate to healing, strengthening, and many other benefits that cannot be brought out by one person alone. Once a bond is formed, a tie with no true physical form is created between the parties. It cannot be seen or severed without special and specific means. This connection can, however, be broken if the user runs out of chakra, becomes unconscious, or the connected party leaves the general vicinity. ( Any form of skin-to-skin contact while using the technique forms a connection. Additionally, a willing target can have this connection created through any form of contact, even through clothing. )

• As you rank up, your connections will receive added benifits, connections are limitless, but be aware each connection will drain an E-ranks worth of chakra until your body has grown accustom to the clans techniques and be also aware that this stacks on top of [Mukei Enchou] extensions. Mukei Enchou [ Spiritual Extension ]
Description: By assuming a more meditative and immobile state, the Miyamoto is able to increase the range at which their bond can stretch. However, for each post of the connected party’s activity, 10 chakra is drained from the Miyamoto. Increases range of Spiritual Connection by one mile. This effect can be applied up to three times, but for each stack, 10 additional chakra is drained per post. Learned when Spiritual Connection is learned.

Mukei Nokori [ Spiritual Residue ]
Description: As ability increasing techniques are continuously performed, the effects of those techniques seem to begin to last longer- though at a reduced potency. After an ability-increasing technique’s duration ends, its effects continue for 2 additional posts at 50% potency. Requires C-Rank Body.
Training Time: 5 posts.

Mukei Riki [ Spiritual Strength ]
Description: As ability increasing techniques are performed on someone, the effects of those techniques seem to become less and less of a physical and mental burden. With time, a person is able to bolster his/herself, and can carry more spiritual weight- This adaption is proof of that evolution. Allows the assisted character to be affected by up to 3 of the Miyamoto clan's ability increasing techniques at once. This technique must be used in Korabo with the assisted character at least once to benefit fully from its effects. It may be best to keep a list of partners of whom you've partaken in Korabo with. The first attempted Korabo will consume B-Rank Chakra from both parties. Thereafter, only the user will have to pay the amount. Once the Seirei has totaled [6] Korabo partners, as if having struck an evolution, they no longer require having to Korabo with further assisted targets. Requires C-Rank body.

Mukei Joukei [ Spiritual Sight ]
Rank: E :: Spiritual
Description: A fairly simple technique which allows the user to momentarily view the "strings" that bind a Miyamoto to those he/she is connected to. Aside being used to find connected allies, it can also locate any other person who may be under a different Miyamoto clan member's assistance. Unfortunately, during the duration of this technique, the user's eyes become a bit more sensitive to light. Although not typically detrimental, it can become a problem when dealing with flares. Duration: Sustained

Konton: Sou no Suji [ Soul Release: Layer of Muscle ]

Description: A link technique which increases the physical ability of multiple parties. The target(s)’s Fortitude & Strength is moderately increased. Although it’s not incredibly noticeable, this technique lasts long and can help prevent cheap strikes from becoming severe injuries. Duration: 6 posts.

Description: A link technique that allows the Miyamoto to redirect the damage that a connected party would take to his/herself. However, the user takes slightly more damage than if the target would have taken the hit directly. Additionally, although the damage is redirected, stunting and obstacles formed by an attack cannot be redirected.

Bunpai Itami [ Sharing Pain ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: A link technique that allows the Miyamoto to divide damage he/she takes to any number of connected parties. Unfortunately, not all damage can be given away; the user must retain at least 20% of the damage he/she is redirecting. Additionally, although the damage is redirected, stunning and obstacles formed by an attack cannot be redirected.

Go Itami [ Giving Pain ]

Description: A link technique that allows the Miyamoto to divide the damage a connected party takes amongst themselves and/or any other connected party. Additionally, although the damage is redirected, stunning and obstacles formed by an attack cannot be redirected.

Kizu Tsuukou [ Wound Passing ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: A link technique that allows the Miyamoto to transfer the existing wounds of a connected party to his/herself. This skill was developed sometime after the art of damage redirection was mastered, and its effects are proof of its complex nature. If a deep cut is present on a connected party's shoulder, the Miyamoto will "heal" that person's wound by transferring it to the same position on their own body. Unfortunately, some time and focus is needed to perform this technique ( 2 posts ).

Konton: Wanryoku [ Soul Release: Brute Strength ]

Description: A link technique which increases the physical ability of a single party. The target’s physical strength is heavily increased. Please keep in mind that this can only be applied to a single target. Duration: 5 posts.

Description: A link technique which increases the physical ability of multiple parties. The target(s)'s physical stamina & fortitude is greatly increased, allowing them to absorb more damage and ultimately push their body beyond normal limits. Konton: Tannaru Chisoku [ Soul Release: Sheer Speed ]

Description: A link technique which increases physical ability, though it forces the Miyamoto to kneel in order to sustain its effect. The target(s)’s physical speed is greatly increased and minor wounds are repaired, almost as if new life has been brought into their legs. Because this technique requires the user to channel energy to the connected, it has no duration, but is instantly severed if the Miyamoto breaks stance. ( This technique can only be applied to those within the original [2] mile range, no exceptions. )

Konton: Butai Engi [ Soul Release: Element Amplification ]

Description: A link technique which increases the elemental ability of multiple parties. The selected elements potency of the target(s) elemental chakra attacks are increased 1-rank, multiple links can be established to bolster multiple elements if the user's knowledge allows. Duration: 4 posts.

Konton: Konki Keiro [ Soul Release: Energy Path ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: A link technique which allows the Miyamoto to transfer any amount of their own chakra to a connected party. This effect cannot be reversed, and Miyamoto clan members cannot grant chakra to one another. Please also remember that if the user runs out of chakra / becomes unconscious, all connections are severed.

Konki Sanmai [ Energy Absorption ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: Rather than forming any number of solid connections to a select few individuals, this technique releases hundreds of chakra strands which create passive links to the surrounding flora and fauna. While assuming a meditative state, the user's chakra strands slowly collect chakra from the willing surroundings, rejuvenating him/her. In a sense, this is a very primitive form of senjutsu, or sage techniques. ( Restores [10] chakra every active post. Other techniques cannot be performed during this time, and all other active links are severed upon usage. This stacks with 'resting' chakra regeneration for a total of [25]. This technique does not consume chakra to use.

Konton: Kouken Element [ Soul Release: Guardian Element ]
Rank: S :: Spiritual
Description: A very powerful link technique that can only be performed when a single connection is formed between strong and well versed allies. For as long as the Miyamoto remains in a meditative state, he/she is able to channel his/her elemental affinities to the connected party. This force feed of power not only moderately increases all aspects of the ninja, but also allows the ally access to the elemental knowledge of the Miyamoto clan member, and envelops them in an aura of white spiritual chakra. While active, a similar thick spiritual aura surrounds the user, protecting them while they are channeling energy- through a severe enough attack could still pierce through. Maximum duration: 10 posts. Increases all of the linked individuals attributes moderately [strength], [fortitude], [speed] etc, Allows the linked individual to use the Konton users elemental ninjutsu.

Konton: Anatatowatashi [ Soul Release: You and I ]
Rank: S+ :: Spiritual
Description:The user has gained the ability to transfer not just fractions of their souls but the entirety of their souls in other beings and creatures. In other word the Seirei gains the ability to possess things. This is commonly used to possess puppets of humanoid make and model. Thus allowing the Seirei to partake in aiding his or her allies without they themselves coming under fire. Their body will continue it's bodily functions as only a fragment of the Seirei's soul is left behind. The true body essentially becomes a puppet. However, remaining away from the true body for more than [2] days will result in the true body beginning to deteriorate as the fragment of soul left behind fades. Although heavily frowned upon the Seirei can transfer their soul into a corpse so long as it's death was within [2] hours and if they're willing to shoulder the pain that came with that individual's death. Also heavily frowned upon a Seirei can transfer a willing subjects soul into another body or puppet etc. However, it suffers the same time constraints and detriments as the seirei themselves would. The Seirei can only do this with one soul at any given time. The Seirei can also choose to perform a half possession. The Seirei will possess a living creature already with a soul. The possession is obvious manifesting itself similar to that of a humanoid chakra cloak. The possessed individual then has access to all the Seirei's techniques Bloodline included. However, the possessed must pay from their own Chakra pool. The Seirei adds any of their own existing descriptive modifiers to the individual they have partly possessed. The possessed can choose to reject the Seirei if they so choose forcing him or her out by will alone. If the true body dies...the Seirei is condemned to wander as a ghost and eventually fade from existence entirely in [10] days unless finding a willing healthy body that would actively surrender their body in its entirety soul and all to the seirei...which...is usually impossible.

___Background:
___Hidden away in the caves of Iwagakure, one of the locals had given birth to one of those who had been deemed for training for multiple arts. Metal crafting and shinobi. An odd combination when ti comes to the very ideals, where perfection must be expected in both fields. The child grew with speed, and the oddity began as he overtook the local business. His blades were unique, constantly changing in his grasp, and none seemed to grasp precisely how he had such a knack for creating these specialized blades. Even more so was the abilities that he had when he was on the field, his blade adjusted frequently for a variety of situations. The blade darkened and shined. At long last on his death bed, he explained it all: Oxidization and molecular bonding. The Rokushō clan began to continue further, used most frequently to support themselves, adjusting bonds within the confines of the steel blades, causing an odd adaptability rarely seen with a swordsman. Due to their ancestry in forging swords and various weapons, the clan itself has a practice. At their coming of age ceremony At the age of twelve, each child of the Rokushō line is taught the basics of the use of the oxidizing seiton element.

___Traits:
The Rokushō have a great innate talent with weapons, resulting in a 1 post reduction for all Bukijutsu.
The Rokushō are comprised of mainly metal smiths, making them stronger than others of their same rank.
The Rokushō, for the same reasons, are quite used to intense heat, gaining a rank of reduction in damage from Katon [ Fire Release ].
Due to a Rokushō's technique's requirements for vials of metallic substances of some kind, their techniques require only one-handed seals.
The word "weapon" is used liberally, as it can also be applied to a puppet (among other things), if of the proper materials.
Coating techniques last ( 8 ) posts, unless willed otherwise.
Requires a regular supply of metals for clan jutsu.
Must possess Doton [ Earth Release ] & Fuuton [ Wind Release ] elements.

___Special Abilities:
Sei Te [ Rusting Hand ]
Description: The basis for all Rokushō clan techniques, the user practices the process of advancing the rusting process dramatically with their very touch. Due to this, the user can break down shinobi tools for the metal flakes needed to perform their clan techniques. These shinobi can also restore rusted materials to a usable state. Buying or trading for metal, metal flakes, or metal shavings from stores will only produce a very general, useless kind of metal flake. Obtaining the flakes from users with a history with their weapon (or object) will produce the needed high quality flakes.
Training Time: 6 posts.

Haijin [ Ashes and Dust ]
Rank: E :: Spiritual
Description: The user throws a handful of low quality metal flakes into the enemy's eyes, making it appear as if the user breaks down into flakes of rust, disappearing on the wind. Works akin to a Kawarimi, but simply causes the mere reflect of light away from the user. Lasts for 1 post.

Sei Shūha [ Rust Wave ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: The name is quite contrary to the actual technique, in which the user will grasp a hold of a number of shuriken, and toss them off after imbuing them with their seiton element. Though it's quite easy to tell they are coming, the projectiles themselves are covered by the clouds of rust flakes falling about, obscuring their locations. This produces only low quality flakes, but in great numbers.

Yowakimono [ Flimsy Objects ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: Extending one's chakra into their rust flakes, and through a held object, weapon, etc, one can lace the insides of the grasped object with rust. This act weakens the object to such a state that it acts like rubber as the flakes peel away from it. Using 1 object's worth of high quality rust flakes instead of the normal low quality ones extends the rusting out to objects that come into contact with the grasped, rubbery one. If the ones contacted do so for more than 2 posts, high quality flakes will begin to drop from it.

Bakusei Bunshin [ Exploding Rust Clone ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: A simple clone made from rust flakes blown into the wind. It will keep its form long enough to track down its prey, whereupon it will detonate, sending its flakes careening as far as the winds will take them. Affected objects will rust away to higher quality flakes in greater quantities at the end of the object(s)' 4th post.

Konji [ Dark Blue Ground ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: The Rokushō apprentice begins learning with a way to cover a fundamental flaw in the bukijutsu user's combat and the natural conductivity of a weapon of steel. Utilizing some of the metal they keep on their person, they coat their blade with an obviously dark blue layer that increases the length of the weapon considerably. Composed to reduce the effectiveness of raiton techniques by one rank. Lasts for 3 posts. Acts like a lightning rod for lightning and Raiton techniques, but it does not negate the effects. Usable thrice per battle. Using 1 weapon's worth of high quality rust flakes instead of normal low quality ones reduces the effectiveness down by two ranks, but it also requires maintaining physical contact with the object to do so.

Suimo [ Weaken & Decline ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: In the midst of combat, the user will set aside the safety of their blade to catch the enemy's, their blood will seep onto the blade, dramatically oxidizing the steel, dulling the edges, & reducing their weapon's capabilities greatly. For all intents and purposes, treat non-chakra-coated Bukijutsu as a rank lower in ability after affected. Can be negated simply by tossing the weapon away and getting another one.

Seiryuu no Houkou [ Rust Dragon's Roar ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: Rust flakes in the wind, blown from the user's mouth. Covers a wide spread area in a thin veil, making it easier to find available metals, and to start the rusting effect from far, far away with great stealth. Affect objects can be 'told' to rust within 4 posts of doing so, causing the rust to make them brittle within another 4 posts. Requires 2 objects' worth of high quality rust flakes, and affects at minimally a city district sized area.

Danzetsu [ Break Off ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: Utilizing excess metals, the user will settle a brittle coating upon their weapon. When met with resistance, it triggers a visual Henge, making it appear as if the weapon has broken. In addition, contact with the object by anything other than the user will 'break off' pieces of the brittle coating, typically causing rough coughing to those that breathe it in, the user included. Lasts for 10 posts. Use of 1 weapon's worth of high quality rust flakes will allow for the affected object to take on the visual properties of a legendary weapon. (though in a rusty, broken state)

Sentan Kidō [ Spearhead Railroad Tracks ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: The user makes use of a trail of metals--usually steel wire due to costly trails of iron lumps being so pricey--in which the user will rust the line. Rusting the entire length, with a secondary purpose, these flakes will congregate at fixed points and spear upward in an attempt to skewer the foe. Use of 1 weapon's worth of high quality rust flakes will allow for the affected objects to sprout smaller spears from the main spears, and even smaller spears from those, causing a sort of massively spiked tree to emit instead of the normal spear.

Description: The user builds upon the basis that the Rokushō established for enhancing their own blade. A new corrosive coating is placed upon their held object, augmenting it with a known Doton or Fuuton technique. Any strike to the object, or with the object, will set off the held technique as the object instantly implodes from massive rusting. Doton/Fuuton added to the blade requires their chakra costs and prerequisites. Lasts for 3 posts or the condition set above.

Shiage [ Finishing Touch ]

Description: Catching the enemy's weapon with their own, the user pumps their chakra into the enemy's weapon, embedding into it the accelerated rate of oxidization. Over the next several posts (2), the weapon begins to corrode and break away. Often an unused tactic, due to the user's need to put themselves in harm's way. Does not affect custom weapons, but does affect metallic weapons with B-rank or less chakra within them.

Chacha [ Disruption ]
Rank: S :: Spiritual
Description: The user makes use of all the metals within their touch. Steel wire, kunai, shuriken. Anything they can, to create a large quantity of the low quality rust flakes, as they are whipped up in a frenzy, creating a dust storm of sorts. Counter attack is difficult, however, for the visibility is greatly reduced. High quality rust flakes may be added to cause external effects as well. This sacrifices all of the user's worn or held metal, to produce a low quality but high amount of, rust flakes. Ingested flakes will cause choking, internal lacerations, and general suffocation. Long lasting effects (if they survive breathing this stuff in), requires a tetanus shot. The external effects from using at least 1 object's worth of high quality rust flakes includes a scintillating, strobe light effect from reflecting available light sources.

Kōsotsu [ Armored Warrior ]
Rank: S+ :: Spiritual
Description: Gathering their arms, much like with the technique Chacha, the user gathers their chakra and releases a massive wave of corrosive rust flakes onto steel within the area. Rather than summon up "dust storms", the user draws the materials near to their flesh, creating a material wall between themselves and the enemy. The user may utilize the shavings of rust to form weapons of surprising durability and impress various bloodline abilities on a higher scale during the time in which this is active. This jutsu, once activated, cannot be deactivated until the chakra cost would otherwise kill the user. In addition to being able to move the affected objects around at will, all other clan jutsu are able to be cast at two less ranks in chakra. Movement speed of affected objects is of Konin. Affected area is of 30 meters. Requires 5 rusted objects worth of high quality flakes.

___Background:
___Void Release (空遁, Kūton; “Void Release”) is the advanced nature Kekkei Genkai of the Saimoto clan, and allows the users to combine lightning- and wind-based chakra to create ethereal weapons that can be manipulated at will. The clan hails from the Land of Tea, where they serve as protectors to the Daimyou. The members of the Saimoto clan usually enjoy the many wonderful teas of their homeland when they have any down time, and often will invite enemy generals to try to settle disputes with the least amount of violence possible. Clan members have preferred not to get involved in fights of vengeance or aggression, choosing instead to be very passive in their approach to combat. They will fight when necessary—and show great skill when doing so—but it is not something they actively seek.

___Traits:
All Kūton users have Raiton [ Lightning ] and Fuuton [ Wind ] as Chakra elements.
All Kūton users learn Raiton [ Lightning ] and Fuuton [ Wind ] Jutsu one [ 1 ] post faster.
All Kūton users are capable of performing techniques with a single hand.
Kūton techniques give off a very faint glow that makes them slightly visible in darkness.
Kūton techniques are always visible to Dōjutsu.
All Kūton techniques may be retrained once to allow their deliberate misuse, inverting the effects of the techniques. Techniques so inverted that result in a net gain of Chakra in the area affected also cause debilitating physical pain on par with breaking a major bone to all involved.
All members of the Saimoto clan gain [ 40 ] Chakra and [ 20 ] Stamina.
If a Saimoto clan member ever fights for vengeance, they lose all access to Kūton techniques until they atone for their sins through 20 posts of meditation.

Description: At the user’s command, all of the user’s Kūton techniques can only be interacted with by up to three people of the user’s choosing. Can be undone at any time for no cost by the user, causing all techniques to once more affect everyone in their radius. Costs 20 Chakra per person designated. Requires B-Rank Body.

Munashii Bunshin no Jutsu [ Vacant Clone Technique ]

Description: Creates a faint, wispy version of a clone. It functions as a normal intangible clone, but it is much fainter and very difficult to see. Can pass through thin physical barriers such as screens and standard doors.

Taizenjijaku [ Presence of Mind ]
Rank: E :: Spiritual
Description: Attaches a nearly invisible wisp of Chakra to one touched person or object. This can be used to impart the user’s Chakra signature to someone for the purposes of interacting with Void Release techniques. Lasts until targeted with an E-Rank Kai.

Hoshi [ Star ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: Creates a small pocket of pure nothingness in the user’s hand. This pocket will pull small objects—like kunai and senbon—toward it, provided they are no more than two meters away. Objects close to the pocket will move more quickly toward it, whereas objects farther away will move toward it more slowly. This is not strong enough to significantly affect the trajectories of thrown or launched weapons, though it is an effective way to keep a large number of objects handy. Stays active for three of the user’s posts or until dismissed.

Kūton: Shunpo [ Void Release: Flash Step ]

Description: Momentarily coats the user’s body in Kūton Chakra, allowing him/her to move up to one meter almost instantaneously. Can only be used five times per battle.

Tekizen [ In the Presence of the Enemy ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: Shrouds the user in a faint mist that extends out ten feet away from the user in every direction. This mist gives information on the location of anything in it, though it does not offer any information beyond general size and body type. Lasts for five of the user’s posts.

Kumikaeru [ To Reset ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: The user lays his/her hands on a part of the target’s body (torso, head, a limb, etc.) and coats it in a sheet of Kūton Chakra. The Chakra will coat the body part evenly before sinking into it. Any closed Tenketsu will be opened, and any excess Kūton Chakra will spread out through the body part and pool in wounds and bruises, greatly accelerating healing techniques targeted in those areas as the healing Chakra will be drawn toward the Kūton Chakra.

Kūben [ Void Whip ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: Creates an ethereal whip that lasts for five of the user’s posts, though for [ 5 ] extra Chakra it can be made into a weapon up to the size of a halberd. This technique does no physical damage and can only be stopped by something containing Chakra, but any techniques currently in effect in its swing arc are disrupted, provided they are C-Rank or lower. If a person has a technique prepared but is not using it when struck by any part of the weapon—including being struck on armor or a held object—the preparation is nullified and he/she loses [ 5 ] Chakra per rank of the prepared technique.

Kūdama [ Void Bullet ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: Launches a spiraling ball of Kūton Chakra in a direction designated by the user. Whenever this technique comes into contact with something—be it physical or comprised of Chakra—it explodes with a blast radius of five meters. This technique does no physical damage, but any techniques currently in effect in the blast radius are disrupted, provided they are C-Rank or lower. If a person has a technique prepared but is not using it when the blast hits, the preparation is nullified and he/she loses [ 5 ] Chakra per rank of the prepared technique.

Kūton: Shunshin [ Void Release: Body Flicker ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: Transports the user to a location up to one mile away that he/she can sense with Chakra. During this movement, the user becomes an ethereal mist and does not interact with any of the intermittent material. Counts as one use of Shunshin no Jutsu.

Hoketsu [ Filling the Vacancy ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: This Jutsu functions like Kūdama, with one major difference: instead of disrupting techniques, it drains [ 40 ] Chakra from the person with the most Chakra and transfers it to the person with the least amount of Chakra. Will not give someone more than maximum Chakra, and any excess is dispersed into the atmosphere. If only one person is in the blast radius, that person loses [ 40 ] Chakra.

Hyoujin [ Glistening Sword ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: Coats a weapon of the user’s choice in Kūton Chakra. This allows the weapon to ignore inorganic material and allows it to deal damage to Chakra-based techniques as if they were solid. Lasts for 8 of the user’s posts. Cannot pass through weapons and armor influenced by Chakra, but will do damage to the technique. Each strike against a technique with a set duration reduces that technique’s duration by one post, and it destroys techniques that have unstated durations or durations of two posts or less. Permanent techniques are not affected by this technique.

Munashii Watashi [ Vacant Me ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: Turns the user ethereal for six of his/her posts. While ethereal, the user is not affected by any kind of physical barriers or attacks, and is unaffected by Ninjutsu or Genjutsu under B-Rank. Likewise, the user cannot use any type of technique other than Fuuinjutsu—provided the user has access to the proper seal—and healing techniques. If the user exits—voluntarily or involuntarily—the ethereal state while inside of something, he/she is shoved to the nearest available space and cannot use Chakra- or Stamina-consuming techniques for twenty of his/her posts.

Hotokeshou [ Buddha Nature ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: A technique that uses Kūton Chakra to extract the void within someone or something, causing them to become supernaturally “whole” or “present”. This causes non-Kūton, non-healing, Chakra-based techniques to veer away from the target, though it also acts as a homing beacon for Kūton techniques and vastly increases the effectiveness of healing Ninjutsu by applying the effects to the target’s entire body. This technique lasts for ten of the target’s posts, during which time all will feel compelled to gaze upon the target.

Kuromaku [ Black Curtain ]
Rank: X [ Trained as A-Rank ] :: Spiritual
Description: A ten meter radius blast of Kūton Chakra centered on the user. The user pays a base cost of 10 Chakra, and for each [ 10 ] Chakra used in the technique the user can create the effect of one Kūton: Shunpo, usable by anyone in the area. This effect lasts for four of the user’s posts before dispersing.

Tekishutsu [ Extraction ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: Launches a small, highly dense ball of Kūton Chakra that explodes with a blast radius of fifteen meters after coming within one meter of anything either physical or Chakra-based. Everything up to twenty-five meters away from the center of the explosion is pulled ten meters toward it suddenly and violently, and everything within the initial blast radius is drained of [ 40 ] Chakra. The technique persists without its inward pull for one post for every [ 40 ] Chakra drained, and every time a multiple of [ 80 ] Chakra is consumed, the inward pull occurs once more.

Kudashi [ Evacuation ]
Rank: S :: Spiritual
Description: Immediately pulls [ 80 ] Chakra out of everything in a thirty meter long, five meter diameter circular blast in a direction the user points. If more than [ 160 ] Chakra is extracted this way, the user turns ethereal for a number of his/her posts equal to one per [ 80 ] Chakra and one additional post per death resulting from the use of this technique, thereby becoming able to pass through all physical barriers.

Shukketsu [ Presence or Absence ]
Rank: S :: Spiritual
Description: Once used, a mist of Kūton Chakra spreads out from the user in a twenty meter radius, allowing accurate sensing of minute details. If retrained for inversion, this technique turns the user ethereal, thereby allowing the user to walk through physical barriers, and renders all sensory techniques useless against the user. However, in this state, the user may not interact directly with anything physical. Lasts for five of the user’s posts, with a [ 20 ] Chakra upkeep cost for every post thereafter.

Kokūzō [ The Receptacle of Void ]
Rank: S+ :: Spiritual
Description: Sends out a wave of Kūton Chakra that negates all active Chakra effects in a twenty meter radius around the user. For ten of the user’s posts after its activation, no one may use any non-Kūton techniques in this area.

___Background:
___Light Release (光遁, Kōton; “Light Release” ) is the advanced nature Kekkei Genkai of the Nagadera clan, and allows the users to combine lightning- and fire-based Chakra to weave light-based Ninjutsu. The Nagadera clan hails from the Moon Country, from which they fled after the founder killed the head of the military in a fight. For many years they avoided establishing any cultural hubs in any of the main Villages, instead living quietly as travelers. Most of the older generation of clan members strictly forbids participation in the military, but this is slowly changing. Those few who are active members of the military tend to stick to crowd control rather than engage the enemy directly in combat.

___Traits:
All Kōton users have Raiton [ Lightning ] and Katon [ Fire ] as Chakra elements.
All Kōton users learn Raiton [ Lightning ] and Katon [ Fire ] techniques one post faster.
All Kōton techniques can temporarily blind anyone who looks at them with a Dōjutsu. Blindness lasts for one post of the afflicted person per technique rank and will stack with blindness created by other Kōton techniques. (One post at E-Rank, six at S-Rank.)
Unless otherwise stated, techniques do not cause blindness in those not using Dōjutsu.
Kōton techniques can only be reflected by Chakra-infused glass, such as the kind that is employed by the Hari clan or the Hyōton.
Kōton techniques are weaker than other techniques of their ranks if used in a dark area. Clothing does not affect light level or exposure with regard to Kōton techniques.
Kōton techniques are stronger than any Jutsu of their ranks that cause or manipulate darkness.
All Nagadera clan members gain [ 60 ] extra Chakra.
Kōton users never suffer any visual detriments due to their own Kōton techniques.
A Kōton user who kills another person out of spite or hatred loses the above listed bonus against Jutsu that cause or manipulate darkness. Additionally, the user loses access to the special abilities listed below and it becomes impossible to use Kōton techniques in anything other than bright light (i.e. Direct sunlight, a well-lit building, etc.). These demerits last until the user spends 72 hours repenting in the rays of the sun.

___Special Abilities:
Hakkōtai [ Luminous Body ]
Description: Alters the ambient light levels in a five meter radius around the user to anything between total shadow and bright light. This lasts for 1 post per 10 Chakra used, and the area affected remains centered on the user should they move.
Training Time: 4 posts.

Reikō [ Luminescence ]
Description: Allows the user to imbue a non-Kōton Ninjutsu or complex physical technique with Kōton Chakra, making it blinding to those who see it and doubly so for any Dōjutsu users who see it. A technique imbued with Kōton Chakra causes one post of blindness per rank, based on the amount of Kōton Chakra that it was imbued with. All clan members start with this technique trained at E-Rank, and must retrain it to be able to imbue techniques with higher levels of Kōton Chakra. Does not gain the benefits of post reductions other than from having a teacher or being in an Academy.
Training Time: 3 posts per rank.

Gandō [ Altar Light ]
Rank: E :: Spiritual
Description: Creates a small ball of light that glows dimly to the naked eye. It is bright enough to light an area up to two meters in diameter, but not bright enough to read by. It will move wherever the user directs it, but it has no effect against anything it might encounter. Lasts for two of the user’s posts.

Hakkaku [ Coming to Light ]
Rank: E :: Spiritual
Description: Coats one touched object or person in a dim light, making the target more visible in poorly lit conditions. Lasts for two of the target’s posts.

Hikarubō [ Glowstick ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: Creates a small ball of bright light that can be thrown or affixed to other objects. It clearly illuminates an area three meters around it. Lasts for three of the user’s posts.

Kōei [ Flicker of Light ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: Causes the user to flicker once with a very bright light that will blind for one post all those who see it. Onlookers using Dōjutsu will be blinded for one extra post, for a total of three posts.

Kōton: Shunshin [ Light Release: Instantaneous Movement ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: Immediately transports the user to any location within a mile that he/she can sense. The user flashes brightly at both the starting and ending points.

Meimu [ Fallacy ]
Rank: D :: Spiritual
Description: Allows the user to manipulate light in the area to alter or falsify the appearance of something. This can range from something as simple as making an object appear larger or smaller than it actually is to creating a clone that looks like the user but has no physical form. Can be retrained once to allow the replication of the visual components of a Genjutsu the user is familiar with, albeit at a C-Rank cost.

Hakuro [ Glistening Dew ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: Coats all surfaces in an area with a glistening, dew-like substance that burns anything that touches it. Coats everything within five meters of the user at the time of activation. Anyone attempting to use Shunshin or a technique similar to Shunshin to pass through the area will suffer severe burns from the friction caused by the Kōton Chakra unless a mitigating factor is present.

Hikari Bunshin [ Light Clone ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: Creates up to two physical clones composed of Kōton Chakra at any illuminated point within five meters of the user. Clones burst into bright light when damaged.

Hyōkitō [ Beacon ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: Creates an entity out of light up to the size, shape, and complexity level of an average human being. This entity is completely intangible and can only move in straight lines, but it can be seen through physical barriers as if they were not present. Lasts for five of the user’s posts after activation.

Keika [ Light of the Firefly ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: Creates a swarm of brightly glowing bugs that will scatter outward from the user immediately after the Jutsu is cast. These insects cannot interact with anything physical, but can land on and attach themselves to anything the user desires. The swarm is directed by the user and can be split up at his/her discretion. The user immediately gains knowledge of any Chakra source passing through the swarm. Lasts for four of the user’s posts.

Suimei [ Light Shimmering on Water ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: Greatly amplifies the brilliance of any reflected light in the area, causing moderate burns to anyone touched by the affected light and inducing blindness in any onlookers for two of the onlooker’s posts. If an onlooker has an active Dōjutsu, the total amount of time required for recovery is five of his/her posts.

Tenkyū [ Rain from a Cloudless Sky ]
Rank: C :: Spiritual
Description: Thousands of senbon will appear in the sky over the user upon this technique’s completion. The user can launch these senbon toward any visible location and they will easily pierce light armor. Remains active for two of the user’s posts or until launched, whichever is sooner.

Hameya [ Evil-Banishing Arrow ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: A thin beam of light shot from the user’s hands. The beam will reach up to twenty meters and will cause anything it hits to burn, explode, or melt away. It is intense enough to liquefy steel.

Kōmyōshingon [ Mantra of Light ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: The user chants after activating the Jutsu, causing everything within five meters of him/her to feel heavy as Kōton Chakra pushes down on them. The user can move normally, but those within this range will find it difficult to move at all as they are pushed to the ground. Lasts for two posts or as long as the user remains chanting, with a [ 10 ] Chakra upkeep cost after the first two posts.

Taiyō no Ikari [ Anger of the Sun God ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: Drastically increases the intensity of all brightly illuminated areas within twenty meters of the user. The skin of anyone in these areas will immediately flay, and anyone who experiences flaying of at least half of the body will pass out due to pain.

Taremaku [ Hanging Screen ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: Coats everything within ten meters of the user in a heavy coat of Kōton Chakra. This Chakra will greatly slow all movements by those affected, though entry into this area after activation will not cause any hampering effects. Lasts for three of the user’s posts.

Tentō [ Lighting a Lamp ]
Rank: B :: Spiritual
Description: A bright flash of light over the user’s head that bypasses physical barriers and causes blindness to all in the area, including those whose eyes are covered or closed. To those with light sensitivity, this flash will cause an enormous and debilitating amount of pain and recovering from the induced blindness will require medical intervention. The flash causes five posts of blindness in all onlookers and nine posts in those with Dōjutsu. Affects all who gaze on the light directly, regardless of distance, but will affect all within five meters of the user even if they do not look directly at the flash.

Gyōkō [ Light of Dawn ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: Coats the user in Kōton Chakra, causing all who gaze upon him/her to be blinded to anything else. Everything but the user will be an even shade of eigengrau. Blindness lasts for five posts after the target looks away from the user or the technique ends, or ten posts for those with active Dōjutsu. Lasts for four of the user’s posts.

Hōsei [ Roar of the Cannon ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: Causes a pillar of light to erupt from the ground upward at a point the user defines. This blast is incredibly powerful, capable of laying waste to all but the strongest defenses, to say nothing of the damage it will cause to anyone caught in the blast. The blast is ten meters in radius and extends twenty meters upward.

Shintō [ Sacred Light ]
Rank: A :: Spiritual
Description: Creates a solid object of up to the size of a small building made out of Kōton Chakra. The object created is weightless, but can otherwise be fully interacted with. Anything created that is larger than a person is fixed in place and cannot be moved. Objects can be broken by techniques B-Rank or higher and will last for five of the creator’s posts.

Seisō [ Holy Lance ]
Rank: S :: Spiritual
Description: A directed wide-area blast of light that can blow through most defenses with ease. The user picks the direction of the blast, and can alter its radius to suit his/her needs. The minimum radius for the attack is one meter, at which point the blast can destroy almost anything it hits and will extend outward for thirty meters. There is no maximum radius for the blast, though it loses its lethality after the ten meter radius mark and will shorten in length until, at a radius of thirty meters, it extends only a meter outward. It will have no effect at all should its radius exceed thirty meters. The blast will throw anything caught within it to its outermost edge in the direction of the blast, and will totally obliterate anything that has to move more than five meters to reach said edge.

Taiyō no Teizen [ Garden of the Sun God ]
Rank: S :: Spiritual
Description: Permeates the air within a ten meter radius of the user with Kōton Chakra. This field of light does not cause blindness, but forces the deactivation of all Dōjutsu within its borders. Lasts for five of the user’s posts.

Taiyō no Totsugeki [ Assault of the Sun God ]
Rank: X [Trained as S] :: Spiritual
Description: Creates a beam of light directed at an area five meters in radius of the user’s choosing. The beam of light comes from the brightest light source in the area and does varying amounts of damage based on the strength of the light source, which also determines the technique’s cost. A candle’s light will cause minor burns to all in the targeted area and is the equivalent of a D-Rank Jutsu, whereas direct sunlight will obliterate everyone and everything in the effect radius and costs twice as much Chakra as an S-Rank technique. Requires a full post to charge before firing, though the user need not concentrate on the technique after forming the needed hand seals.
