Nicole, Eddie and Dolza run into the first cave, quickly disappearing from sight. The second team walks in cautiously, as to not run into any disgruntled pokemon. Even though he is small in size, Dolza is able to keep up with the other two, fairly tall team members, who are running full speed up inclines, down declines, and around corners. All seems to be going well until, behind one corner, comes a Machamp. This Machamp isn't very pleasant to look at; scars all over, mostly from blade cuts and such. "Out of the way." Eddie says, and readies his sword. Nicole and Dolza do the same, in order to prepare for a fight.

The Machamp jumps at Eddie with amazing speed and punches him into a wall. Eddie grunts and coughs up a drop of blood. Nicole quickly answers with her Zweihander slicing the back of Machamp's knee, while it's distracted. As if it were nothing, the Machamp drops Eddie and holds Nicole up to the wall, his mighty fist easily wrapping around the front part of her neck.

Dolza jumps and slashes down the side of the Machamp in response to this action. "Don't you ever put yer hands on a woman." he scolds.

Before the Machamp can respond, Eddie runs his Zweihander through the gut of the Machamp. After this, the Machamp is on its knees, but takes the Zweihander out of its body and smacks Eddie into the wall by holding it by the blade. He falls to the ground, the Zweihander still being gripped in his hands.

Nicole rushes over to Eddie and helps him to his feet, Dolza holding off the Machamp by squirrling around him, barely dodging attacks. "Hurry up over there!" Dolza calls, dodging another punch. "You okay?" Nicole asks. Eddie nods and looks at Nicole. "I've been through worse." he says. "Thanks, though." he adds. Nicole nods with a smile on her face, happy.

Eddie and Nicole look at the Machamp trying to smash Dolza and rush to help him. That Machamp gets a small Zweihander through the back, then a pierced knee, thanks to Eddie. The Zweihander is pushed through the knee and is lodged into the ground, preventing Machamp from turning around without breaking its leg. "Hurry, let's end him!" Eddie yells.

Eddie's plan fails when the sword flips out of his hand and a foot greets his face by knocking him a good distance down the hall. While this was happening, Dolza's broadsword was coming down onto the Machamp's back; but meant for the front. The sword slices the back, then through the belt.

The belt falls to the ground with a clang-clang. Uh-oh.

The Machamp watches the pile of rubble closely, waiting to see if the prey is finally dead. Suddenly, its view is blocked by an many incoming boulders, all being smashed before they reached the abnormal Machamp. Up from the rubble rose, first Nicole, then Dolza, and finally Eddie. All three of them are silent, nothing seems different about them, except they're not covered in five feet of rocks. The Machamp runs and jumps at the three, all four fists delivering speedy punches.

A look of surprise comes across its face when Eddie swoops under the Machamp and grabs its foot, to stop it from accelerating. He uses his other hand to grab his Zweihander, then he throws the Machamp at the other two. Ire has obviously kicked into the three.

Walking through the caves, all seems to calm. There is complete silence, except the occasional scream from the other team, as if they were fighting a pokemon. But what really shook the whole mountain was a loud screech from the guardian of the mountain and the Tyr's Ruby. Moltres. "Holy crap, that sounded like Moltres." Eddie says. "And it doesn't seem to be happy."

"Well, we're invading on its home, intending to take its treasure. Would you be happy if something came into your room and took your Zweihander?" Dolza asks, then notes a ladder leading up to a bright light. "I think that we're getting close." he says.

Nicole just keeps to herself, apparently going off into a daydream or something. She just lets out a "Hmmn?" when Dolza's words snap her out of the daydream.

The Magmortar turns slowly to Nicole and Eddie. Eddie turns quickly to Nicole and asks. "You do have a change of clothes with you, right?" he asks.

Nicole tilts her head and blinks. "Why would I need a change of clothes now?" she asks, then a roaring fire blazes past them.

"Because if that fire touches your clothes, they're gone." Eddie says. "Though, that might not be a bad thing." he thinks.

Nicole's face goes a bit pale as the fire goes by, then latches onto Eddie. "I don't want that thing to burn me!" she cries, using Eddie as a shield.

"You won't get burnt as long as I'm around." Eddie says, then quickly lifts her up and jumps to the side to dodge another flamethrower. "Hey, you mind, I'm trying to comfort someone!" he yells to the Magmortar. He is answered with another flamethrower, and he dodges again. "Okay, that's it." he says, then sets Nicole on her feet and runs at the Magmortar, dodging an incoming flamethrower by rolling to the left. Then, two flamethrowers come out of the cannon-like hands, engulfing Eddie in flames.

"Eddie!" Nicole shouts.

The Magmortar lowers the cannon with the sunlight and charges some flames in the other one, both pointed at Nicole, who watches closely. The flames shoot out of one, she rolls to the right and stands back up, but turns to see the Solarbeam coming at her and she freezes.

Eddie flies over to Nicole and tackles her out of the way, his left leg being attacked by the Solarbeam. The boot starts to disintegrate, and so does the pant leg, leaving the leg and foot charred. He looks down to the freaked out girl and smiles. "You all right?" he asks. Nicole looks at Eddie and nods slowly, then tackles Eddie onto his back, the two dodging another flamethrower.

"We're not doing too well." Eddie says, then gets up and looks at Dolza, who is still out cold. "Nicole, we have to deal with this thing ourselves, because we sure ain't gonna get help from--" he jumps to dodge another flamethrower. "Dolza." he says.

The Magmortar raises its functional arm and charges a flamethrower, the cannon pointed at Nicole. With Magmortar's focus on Nicole, Eddie slips out of sight and grabs Dolza and chucks him at the pokemon's head, knocking him over, and directing the flamethrower at the ceiling. Eddie goes to finish off the battle, but ends up falling to his knees in pain. "Nicole, finish it!" he calls.

Nicole gets to her feet and does a 270 degree spin and throws her Zweihander with great precision, the sword traveling quickly through the air and piercing from one side to the other of the Magmortar. She falls down onto her side, then rolls over onto her back, breathing heavily.

Eddie reaches in his pocket and releases his Sceptile. "Use dig to make a tunnel in that wall." he says.

Sceptile nods and starts using its claws to dig through the hard earth that formed one of the walls, making quick work of it as the grass pokemon disappears in the darkness of the tunnel.

Eddie stands up and grabs Nicole, lifting her to her feet and lets her use him as a support in order to get to the tunnel, which is now widening out into a room like structure.

Dolza wakes up and looks around. He sees the Magmortar on the ground, mortally wounded, then the tunnel. "I must've gotten a good hit on me." he says, then walks into the tunnel and sees Eddie and Nicole on the floor, curled up with each other. "How long was I out?" he asks, then shakes his head and falls back on the floor and closes his eyes in order to get a good night's sleep.

Sceptile stacks up rocks at the entrance in order to throw off pokemon that may wander up and down the halls looking for a fight.

The light from the sun was welcome to the three, but brutal, as they have been in a cave for so long. The summit of the volcano is empty, except for the lava pit bubbling down below and a shine coming from a magically floating Ruby. "So where's that Moltres?" Eddie asks. He turns his head to the left, then to the right, and then up. Nothing. He shrugs and runs over to the gem and reaches out for it, Dolza realizing something and chasing after him.

Just as Eddie is about to grab the gem, there's a large screech coming from above, and a giant stream of fire shoots down and envelops the Tyr's Ruby. "Woah!" Eddie cries, then jumps backwards to avoid the fire. Dolza does the same. "Okay, now we're cooking with fire!" Eddie says.

Eddie gets to his feet and looks at the two flying swordsmen, dodging rapid fire attacks and closing in on the bird, just to miss with a slash. This process goes on for a while, but Eddie just waits quietly, until.

"Well, it seems we're late to the party." Arthur says, emerging from an entrance very close to Eddie.

"Well, I guess you can help us with this thing." Eddie says, pointing to the Moltres that just gave Dolza a hard time with fire.

"I'd be glad to help with this. Though, this'll mean that I will get the Tyr's Ruby." he says, a smile on his face. His two teammates emerge after him, watching the fight in the air.

"Should we release our pokemon?" Erik asks, grabbing the pokeball at his side.

"Yeah, that'd be a good idea." Eddie answers.

The three release their pokemon. Arthur releases an Alakazam, Erik a Golem, and Amanda releases a Wailord, which floats in the air dumbly, taking up most of the Summit.

"Holy crap." Eddie says.
