This same concept could be applied to Harry Potter (Idea from The Unauthorized Harry Potter by Adam-troy Castro). Look, the kid's badly treated for eleven years, lives in the cupboard under the stairs. Wouldn't you want to dream up another world?
As my input into an argument I ought to have no input in, I happen to love both Digimon and Pokemon. And it was an excellent debate to read, minus some obligatory mudslinging.

OH WOW!
I have never been a die hard pokemon fan but I remember collecting the pokemon cards and sining along to the theme song. Who knew this whole time that there was secret meaning behind everything. That really blew my mind and made me a little sad. Thank you for that insight.
