I never really thought of that song being TailsxSonic. Are you sure that Tails was going to be a girl? Maybe it was originally a completely different sidekick. Or Amy. Oh well. Tails still is pure awesome. And Flicky-y.
That song was reused for Sonic '06. It was, like, Elise's theme or something.

I remember seeing some old concept art from Sonic 2 beta where tails was supposed to be a girl...
...originally tails was a girl ,but when the game was released in the United States ,they changed the gender...
