I think the answear to the train one is 100 miles.

I don't know if that was a wild guess but that is correct.

Anywayz, here is another riddle. It is said that 98% of the world can not solve the riddle. Are you in the lucky 2%. Do not cheat!!

There are 5 houses in 5 different colors. In each house lives a person with a different nationality. The 5 owners drink a certain type of beverage, smoke a certain brand of cigar, and keep a certain pet. No owners have the same pet, smoke the same brand of cigar, or drink the same beverage.

The question is: Who owns the fish?

Hints:

* The Brit lives in the red house.
* The Swede keeps dogs as pets.
* The Dane drinks tea.
* The green house is on the left of the white house.
* The green homeowner drinks coffee.
* The person who smokes Pall Mall rears birds.
* The owner of the yellow house smokes Dunhill.
* The man living in the center house drinks milk.
* The Norwegian lives in the first house.
* The man who smokes Blend lives next to the one who keeps cats.
* The man who keeps the horse lives next to the man who smokes Dunhill.
* The owner who smokes Bluemaster drinks beer.
* The German smokes prince.
* The Norwegian lives next to the blue house.
* The man who smokes Blend has a neighbor who drinks water.
It took me A LOT of time but I think it's the British but a lot of my analysis is conflicting with each other so as of now, it's a guess.

Gosh this one's hard! I made a chart thingy to cross off things and work it out, and I mixed that up so I cut up little bits of card and tried to work it out that way- I'm still doing trial and error- but I don't want to give up! crying

whew that took me about 30 minutes. The answer is the German is located in the green house, smokes prince, drinks coffee, and keeps fish. I figured it out by creating cards ( thanks b09876 for that idea) separated them into piles depending on what they were and what they were connected to. then started reading and re reading the clues each time adding more cards to thier proper spots mostly by proses of elimination( for example he smokes this so he cant be this this and this...) eventually it leads to you the German having the fish

New riddle: A cowboy rides into town on Friday. He stays three days then rides out on Friday. how is that possible.

Answer...
His horse is called friday...

Here's one
What do you enter once and leave three times...?

Kinda simple but it was the only one that sprung to mind...

Ouch. This is making my head hurt.

Is it the military??

Here's another:
I am, in truth, a yellow fork
From tables in the sky
By inadvertent fingers dropped
The awful cutlery.
Of mansions never quite disclosed
And never quite concealed
The apparatus of the dark
To ignorance revealed.

Nope...

Whats the question to yours... It just seems like a poem.... Or is it one of those what am I ones....?
PostPosted: Sat Feb 16, 2008 10:41 pm

@kyoshiro2
I couldn't even come up with an answer... neutral

@jensenns
Lighting???

I turn around once.
What is out will not get in.
I turn around again.
What is in will not get out.
What am I?

Easy one...

I have no idea where my head was at...

Kyoshiro2: I really don't know, then.

Young Sev: Yes, it's lightning.

Answer to Young Sev's riddle: It's a one-way air valve!

Here's literally the oldest riddle in the books:
What goes on four legs in morning, two in afternoon, and three in evening?

but if my heart says I'm sorry, can we leave it at that?
PostPosted: Sat Feb 16, 2008 11:26 pm

Eh... It's a T-Shirt... Go through the bottom opening and your head and arms come out... 2 arms + 1 head= 3 exitings.... Heh heh...

Jensenns: Ahhh... I see now it makes sense.... And... Ummm... The answer is... Maybe a human being?
Usually male though... Some time female...

Try Again....

Sorry jensenns and kyoshiro2
PostPosted: Sun Feb 17, 2008 11:29 pm

@kyoshiro: yes, it's a human... that riddle is also known as the "riddle of the sphinx"... and that other one did make sense... my logic was that you enter the military once and you take leave, like, three times

@young sev: this is, like, the hardest riddle i've ever tackled... i seriously don't know...
