I thought some of my Critter friends might do a get-together/photoshoot prior to the event but I haven't heard any confirmations on any official plans yet. Despite asking several times the past month or so about it.

I've been in a Star Trek mood lately... and seriously considering on doing a Vulcan cosplay. Probably will do an original concept rather than a specific character. Especially since it's been awhile since I've done anything original.

I had a great time at the Vampire Masquerade Ball last night. ((I don't even remember if I mentioned earlier or not... oh well.)) I wish I could've stayed longer for everything but since I was taking the transit system, the last ride for the night was around 11 PM. Yeah, I was at the event for two hours... but they decided to keep all of their main "attractions" - performances - until later starting at 11. cry I understand wanting to give people time to check out vendors ((which was actually nice thing, so you didn't feel like you were missing anything)) and try some of the drinks ((I had a Blood Orange martini)) and appetizers ((yummy!)). But I think 2 hours of this is a bit overkill... especially for a late night event like the Ball.

Maybe it wouldn't have seemed so bad if I wasn't constantly on anxious mode - checking my phone over and over again on what time it was, making sure I wasn't going to miss my ride back to my car to get home. And... didn't have to get up early the next morning - this morning - for work. Oh... and my feet was already starting to kill me in the ankle boots I was wearing because of the high heels. Probably didn't help with all of the walking I was doing between getting off at the wrong stop ((freaked out I was missing my stop because of certain street names not realizing it's on the other side of the small river I needed to be - stupid city streets confusing me sweatdrop )) and doing a goose chase with the group of friends I was meeting up with.
Plus the later the night is... more creepos start coming out. Which can be a bit nerve-whacking when you're all dressed up rather than standard everyday clothes.

((When I was on transit, they mentioned being in the park doing a mini photoshoot... but when I looked in the park area by the museum I didn't see them.))

Hopefully I'll be able to attend the full ball in the future - whether it's the Vampire Masquerade or the Vespertine Winter one. Assuming scheduling works in my favor.

One of the cool things is that I was able to get one of the free stickers of the event's logo. Only the first 200 people through the door would receive one. I totally didn't think I would get one... but surprisingly there weren't many people who showed up at the very beginning. More people seemed to show up later on (probably because of the timing of the performances).
