First Year • Unsorted
-“I can do it. It’s not a problem.”-
Pete did not rush when his name was called. He heard it clearly and moved forward slowly, adjusting his robe. The Great Hall felt larger as he moved, the whispers and pauses shifting around him, but he kept his eyes forward, noting the floor, the light, and the motion above, storing every detail. He was not scared, only calm, the same steady feeling that came when something needed doing and he knew how to do it. He thought about helping quietly, fixing things before anyone noticed, about responsibility and balance, about his sister and the restaurant, about noticing the small details that kept the world running smoothly. He did not want attention, but he liked knowing where things were going before they arrived, steering outcomes without anyone realizing, and positioning himself to make the most of every opportunity.
The Hat settled over his eyes, the Hall vanished, and Pete waited, fingers laced, thinking, calculating, trusting that wherever he landed, he would find the place where he could quietly be indispensable and rise in his own way.
Personality:
OBSERVANT Pete notices patterns before he notices people noticing them: routines, moods, small changes in behavior. He stores information quietly, often knowing things long before anyone realizes he’s been paying attention.
HELPFUL Helping feels natural to Pete, but not performative. He offers solutions because he’s already thought them through, not because he wants praise. If something can be fixed, he feels compelled to try.
IMPULSIVE Once Pete has reached a conclusion, he can act quickly, sometimes too quickly, jumping in before fully considering how visible his actions might make him.
OVER-APOLOGETIC Pete apologizes instinctively, often before he’s done anything wrong. It’s less about fear and more about caution, a desire to keep situations calm and balanced.
CONFLICT-AVERSIVE When tension rises, Pete shuts down rather than escalates. He’ll agree outwardly even when internally unconvinced, preferring to retreat and think rather than argue.
CAREFUL Pete is cautious with his choices and his words. He dislikes unnecessary risks and prefers knowing what to expect before stepping forward.
