Sakura Devereux ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Unsorted ✿ First Year Pureblood ✿ Eleven Year Old
✿ Location :Great Hall ~ Sorting (2066) ✿ Company : First Years... Sorting Hat
Sakura had a love hate feeling towards heading to Hogwarts. On one hand she was free from her younger siblings but to be fair they were two. Not the most difficult to handle but still ever present. On the other hand, Sakura would be dealing with her older brother Corin. He was fun and all but more trouble than he was worth. Even still they’d be going to school together. What could possibly go wrong there? She assured herself nothing as she boarded the train to head to school.
Keeping to herself, Sakura waited until they got to Hogsmeade before changing into her robes. Taking the journey across the lake to the castle, she looked over wondering what her time here would hold. Eyes seeing the magic and possibility of this place, despite not showing her child like wonder. Sakura walked into the great hall, her head held high. Hands folded together as she waited for her name to be called. “Sakura Devereux.”
Walking over, Sakura sat down before the entire school. Seemingly unphased by this, her gaze shifted to the Slytherin table. She knew that’s where she was going. It was hardly a question in her mind. The sorting hat just needed to put her there. Hands on her lap, the young girl waited for the hat’s decision. ‘Let’s get this over with.’ The quicker the better.

■ AMBITOUSSakura like any good Devereux has a level of desire to aspire to be better than she is. She shoots high with her goals, while keeping them practical at the same time. Eager to prove herself of a higher standard, she puts a lot into getting results. Be it convincing someone she knows what she’s talking about or a late-night grind, she will not shy away from extra work. ■ HEAD STRONGJust don’t get in her way if she’s aiming for something because she will not hold back. If there is a way to bend things to her favour you can beat Sakura will try. She isn’t one to take no for an answer. Holding firm on her decisions, she does not waver easy. Consider it a family curse. ■ IMPATIENTIn turn, Sakura can be rather impatient when things don’t go her way. Though she doesn’t show it, she has a thin line for stupidity. She can grow annoyed with others, but not so far as to be short tempered. Remaining calm, it doesn’t mean that her glaring eyes can’t tell the story of irritation. ■ STOICThrough it all, Sakura will make it rather hard to read most of her feelings. She has a pretty good poker face for the most part. To know how she is feeling takes a master class level of skill. She doesn’t share whether something is really bothering her, or if she even cares for that matter. You also won’t hear her complain about things even if they are getting under her skin. She’s more likely to just walk away from an uncomfortable situation and safe herself the headache. ■ LOYALSakura despite her lack of showing her heart on her sleeve, is very family focused. She might not show it, but she does have a decent loyalty to those she considers family and friends. Even if she doesn’t act like it, she will work behind the scenes to turn things around in the favour of those she sees fit. ■ PERFECTIONISTSpeaking of Family, Sakura has her mother to thank for her desire for perfection. From her appearance to the space around her, she needs things to be just so. Not a hair out of place or toe out of line. It can come off at times as being a bit borderline compulsive when her need to keep her stuff in its place. The only time you’ll see anything slip is when she’s in a garden tending to flowers.
The Professor set the hat down carefully on the student's head. For a moment the hat was silent before speaking.... It’s clear from the start, The best place to put you. Be true to your heart, And you’ll do best in… SLYTHERIN!
Vesper silently followed her classmates through the castle and down the central aisle of the Great Hall. She made a point to keep a keen eye on her surroundings, trying to memorize landmarks to help her avoid getting lost in the upcoming school year. Plus, what if she spotted something interesting? Not a clue, because she wasn’t on a case just yet, but perhaps the beginnings of a mystery that needed to be solved. Alas, she spotted nothing of immediate concern. Too bad.
Stepping into line with the others, Ves wondered to herself where she’d end up. She didn’t feel like she fully fit into any of the four Houses. She was nice enough for a Hufflepuff, she thought. Adventurous, maybe, but not exactly brave like a Gryffindor. Slytherin, with the ambitious and cunning? That seemed like the best fit, but the intellectual challenge of Ravenclaw sounded promising to her as well. Ultimately, it wasn’t her choice though, was it? When it was her turn, she stepped up to the stool, climbed up to take a seat, and tried her best to clear her mind while the Hat made its decision. She didn’t want to distract it, that would be rude.
xxxP E R S O N A L I T Yxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ■ SUBTLE MANIPULATORShe knows how to ask the right questions without raising suspicion. Her charm is quiet, her presence disarming—people talk to her without realizing they’re giving her exactly what she needs. ■ CALCULATING INTELLECTShe doesn’t just think—she strategizes. Every clue is a thread in her mental web, and she knows how to tug each one to unravel the truth. Her brilliance lies in seeing the patterns others miss. ■ RELENTLESS DEDICATIONOnce she’s on a case, she’s in it until the last secret is unearthed. Whether it takes hours or weeks, she’ll chase leads through shadows and silence, driven by a need to know. ■ EMOTIONALLY GUARDEDHer loyalty runs deep, but her trust is earned slowly. She keeps her feelings locked behind a polished exterior, revealing just enough to keep others guessing—never enough to be vulnerable. ■ INSTINCTIVE OBSERVERShe notices the twitch in a liar’s eye, the smudge on a forged document, the silence that speaks louder than words. Her mind is a camera, and nothing escapes its lens. ■ DARKLY CURIOUSShe’s drawn to the forbidden, the unsolved, the unsettling. Not out of malice, but fascination. She wants to understand the shadows—not to fear them, but to master them.

The Professor set the hat down carefully on the student's head. For a moment the hat was silent before speaking.... Ah, perhaps we have a mystery to solve Of why you would ever try and hide that mind? Your smarts and curiosity could go two places, But don't worry, you'll have every chance to shine in.... After meeting Obadiah at the docks and helping to collect all the first years, Phoebe led the group up to the school, perhaps a bit slower than her normal speed to make sure they could all keep up. After all, it wouldn't do to have anyone get lost on the way! Once the group entered the school, Phoebe explained the basics, talking about the school, ghosts, paintings, and eventually, preparing them for their sorting ceremony. Finally, she opened the doors at the Antechamber, then led the way to the front, stopping the first years in their area until the ceremony.
The blonde stepped up to the podium, clearing her throat before she spoke to the school. "Good evening one and all. For those that are returning, it's lovely to have you back once more. And for our new students, hello and welcome to your new school. For everyone who doesn't know me, my name is Professor Phoebe Clarke. I'm the teacher of Astronomy, years 4-7, the head of Hufflepuff House, and your Deputy Headmistress. Tonight, I'll be leading our sorting ceremony, which will be followed by a lovely dinner and a speech from Headmaster Steele.

Following along with all the other first years, Coty was trying to take in all the sights. Tsia had said the castle was super huge and also super interesting, but Coty hadn't expected this much! There were a lot of classmates too, which was nice. It was much better than being one of only a few. After their long walk, the redhead puffed on her inhaler rather absentmindedly, looking all around the Great Hall. Noticing a little wave, Coty waved back at her sister, who was decorated in fancy greens. Her attention wasn't able to stay on her sister long, as the professor called out her name.
Coty hurried up to the front, then took her seat. Drawing in a nervous breath, she felt the hat be placed atop her head. "Hello there, hat! I would sure like to go somewhere nice, and maybe not up too many stairs, if possible." If there was one thing Hogwarts had, it was a whole ton of stairs.
xxx𝓟𝒆𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂xxx
xxxxx⇾Wᴏʀʀɪᴇᴅ: Life is full of changes, and Coty hates them all. It's so hard to be a kid, but much more so when everything gets turned upside down. When everything seems nice and calm, Coty is always worried for the next big change.
xxxxx⇾Cᴀᴜᴛɪᴏᴜs: In a life full of chaos, Coty learned to be careful of everyone and everything. She avoided anything she wasn't certain was safe, leading to holing herself up to prevent anything outside her safe little bubble. People were awful, animals would bite or scratch, but her bedroom was safe... usually.
xxxxx⇾Sᴏғᴛ-Sᴘᴏᴋᴇɴ: Despite feeling big emotions, Coty fears that no one really cares what she had to say. She usually stays quiet in conversations, only speaking up when directly asked, though her voice always held a quiet quiver. Even in emergency situations, she can't bring herself to speak up.
xxxxx⇾Sᴇʟғ-Cʀɪᴛɪᴏ̨ᴜɪɴɢ: When you grow up with parents who judge everything, you start to judge yourself. This is especially true of Coty, who just wanted some sort of validation from her parents. They, of course, really didn't care much. But, she started turning their loathing in on herself, making it hard to even get up some days.
xxxxx⇾Sᴏ̨ᴜᴇᴀᴍɪsʜ: Life is.... gross. Especially in a messy family. Coty grew to hate a lot of textures and foods, simply because they made her feel icky. She hated cleaning up after messes, but was forced to do so, causing breakdowns at the thought. Any time she got ill, it was a horror show of gross stuff, and she hated it even moreso.
xxxxx⇾Lᴏᴠɪɴɢ: Despite her rough upbringing, Coty always had a soft spot for certain things. Sure, cats scratched and dogs bit, but they could be sweet, soft animals too. People were generally awful, but that didn't mean Coty didn't care for some. Even though she never really felt loved, she tried to love others as best as she could.

Everything was getting exciting. After the train, Elara split off from her brother and aunt, instead joining the other first years. She wasn't particularly eager to ride on a little boat across a dark lake, but at least she wouldn't have to row. Plus, the other kids on her boat seemed pretty nice. Following the boats, the group finally headed inside. It was really cool in here, which she appreciated. The group of first years walked into the Great Hall proper, allowing her a moment to look around. She spotted Merc and Mika at the Ravenclaw table, offering a little curtsey to them. Soon enough, she'd be in a house as well, and perhaps she'd be moved to sit with them.
When her name was called, Elara did her best to walk professionally to the front. This was a school, after all! She sat on the stool, letting the hat rest upon her blonde hair. "Alright, let's see how you work. I'm sure you don't need any input from me, but I look forward to your expert analysis." She clicked her tongue, waiting eagerly to learn her fate for the next seven years.
xxx𝓟𝒆𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂xxx
xxxxx⇾Fʀɪᴇɴᴅʟʏ Despite enjoying a good argument, Elara is a very good friend when she needs to be. She likes to talk to people wherever she goes and can befriend just about anyone.
xxxxx⇾Aʀɢᴜᴍᴇɴᴛᴀᴛɪᴠᴇ Elara likes to argue, something that she’s been doing since she was a small child. She thinks it’s fun to be stubborn and oppositional.
xxxxx⇾Gᴇɴᴇʀᴏᴜs When she meets someone in need, Elara is compelled to help in any way she can. She’ll go out of her way to assist her family, friends, and even strangers.
xxxxx⇾Cᴏᴍᴘᴇᴛɪᴛɪᴠᴇ She views everything as a game that she has to win. Whether it’s playing games, debates, or even Quidditch, Elara simply cannot lose.
xxxxx⇾Iɴᴛᴇʟʟɪɢᴇɴᴛ In order to be good at debates, you have to be whip smart and Elara definitely fits that bill. She has a desire to learn new information and retains most of what she learns like a sponge.
xxxxx⇾Cʀᴇᴀᴛɪᴠᴇ Not in the artistic way, but Elara is imaginative when it comes to thinking. She observes situations and finds the most out of the box ways to find solutions.
Of all three Hales, Alec knew he'd be the first to be sorted. They would go alphabetically, meaning he'd be summoned first. He did hope that everyone got sorted where they wanted to go, but he hoped he'd get to be with at least one of his siblings. He was excited to watch over the edge of the boat and into the spooky lake, especially since there were probably oodles of magical creatures in the depths. He was a little bummed to get out of the boat, but they were now headed for the castle! Walking through the huge hallways, Alec could feel himself getting more and more excited.
Sure enough, once the H's came up, Alec was first. He grinned at his sisters, then hurried to the front. Sitting down, he couldn't help but fidget his hands as he waited to hear from the hat. "Alright, it'll be super cool to be sorted with my sisters. We're triplets, see, and it'd be nice to stick together. If we can't, then at least make sure they go somewhere they'll like, 'kay?"
xxx𝓟𝒆𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂xxx
xxxxx⇾Cᴜʀɪᴏᴜs Every question has an answer and it is Alec’s personal mission to learn them all. He prefers a hands-on approach to learning and frequently does things to give himself the ability to explore his questions. He’s had several fails, but he’s also learned a lot about the world by getting his hands dirty.
xxxxx⇾Aᴅᴠᴇɴᴛᴜʀᴏᴜs Alec has an adventurous spirit that can’t be quelled. Even in boring situations, there’s always an adventure to be had. He often occupies his time coming up with new ways to explore the world around him, even if it occasionally drifts into daydream territory.
xxxxx⇾Cʀᴇᴀᴛɪᴠᴇ Even though every question has a logical answer, Alec prefers to think up creative solutions. He also loves art in many forms, though his favorite way to share creativity is through food. It helps that it’s a good way to warm peoples’ hearts.
xxxxx⇾Lᴏʏᴀʟ Alec is definitely ride or die, especially when it comes to family. He will do just about anything for people he loves, even at a detriment to himself.
xxxxx⇾Eɴᴇʀɢᴇᴛɪᴄ It is nigh impossible to contain Alec’s wild energy. He’s always up and moving, always finding something to do to help keep himself entertained.
xxxxx⇾Fʀɪᴇɴᴅʟʏ Even on his grumpy days, it’s hard for Alec to shake his friendly demeanor. Part of it is that he doesn’t like when people don’t like him, but a lot of it is that he just likes making people smile.

Caitriona had had a good time on the train ride, hanging out with Cyril and getting snacks from the trolley. She did get bored about halfway through and wound up taking a nap, but when they arrived in the magical village, her energy returned. She'd practically bounced around the platform until they were ushered to the boats. Leaning over the edge, she brushed the water, letting the cold water rush around her hand. Then they got escorted through the castle and into the Great Hall. It was a sudden burst of noise and color. Cait was amazed by the ceiling of the big room. When her name was called, she took the seat, eager to see what this Sorting experience was going to be like.
xxx𝓟𝒆𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂xxx xxxxx⇾Energetic Always a ball of energy, Cait is constantly on the move and can't sit still even for a minute. She's likely to fidget constantly or stand up and move when she's expected to sit and do schoolwork. xxxxx⇾Tomboyish Cait isn't the girly type at all. She's not afraid to get dirty, she prefers boy clothes over girl clothes, and doesn't like makeup. She would rather be one of the guys. xxxxx⇾Judgy Very opinionated, Cait isn't one to mince words. She has an opinion about everyone and she is very willing to share it, even if it's a mean thought. xxxxx⇾Competitive She wants to win at everything she does and Cait will go out of her way to make sure she does. Cait can turn everything into a competition and then she has to win. xxxxx⇾Brave Cait is willing to dive into danger and it gives her a rush to do so. She idolizes firefighters and wants to be like them when she grows up. xxxxx⇾Reckless Not one to think about the consequences of her actions, she dives right into action. This can lead to her getting in trouble or hurt, but those aren't concerns of hers. She's not likely to listen to other peoples' opinions.

Grace was the third of the Hale triplets to be called, with Alec going first and Brennie following him. After their train ride and boat trip across the lake, Gracie was tired, but for this Sorting, the preteen was wide awake. While she didn't want to be separated from her brother and sister, it was very likely that they would be. She knew this was likely going to happen because of the minute differences between the three kids. She waited anxiously as her brother and then sister went before her, then her name was called. The girl took her seat and closed her eyes as the Hat was placed on her head.
xxx𝓟𝒆𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂xxx xxxxx⇾ Calm Relaxed in nature, she isn't one to get angry easily. She takes a neutral approach to arguments and tries to defuse situations, rather than push them harder. xxxxx⇾ Nature-loving Grace loves to be in nature, whether it's walking in a park, camping in the yard, or hiking in the mountains. If she's away from nature for an extended period of time, she starts to get depressed. xxxxx⇾ Spacey Described as having her head in the clouds, or as a space cadet, Grace is always drifting off into her thoughts. This especially happens when she's laying in the grass. xxxxx⇾ Caring She'll go out of her way to help others, even when it detracts from what she was doing. This does sometimes lead to her handing in incomplete assignments or leaving projects half-finished. xxxxx⇾ Nurturing She's great and growing plants as well as helping injured animals. Grace routinely brings home animals she finds outside to try and raise them. She also enjoys gardening and bringing life to lots of plants. xxxxx⇾ Sensitive Easily offended and prone to crying are two things that describe Grace. But she also gets teary whenever she sees pretty flowers, sunsets, or animal videos.

Linnie had rode the train with her sister, the two sharing in quiet conversation and homemade snacks, since Iana was really antsy when it came to anyone else making food. However, Linnie did get some snacks from the trolley, since she wasn't iffy about her food. She did miss her puppy, which she'd had to leave at home because she couldn't bring him with her. When the train reached the platform, Linnie stole a hug from Iana and one from Eddie before she had to go off with the first years. The boat ride had been pretty serene and then they were off through the school. She walked amongst the first years doing her best to contain her excitement. The next of the Overton brood was excited to get Sorted and start making tons of friends. When they got to the Great Hall, Linnie looked up at the ceiling in awe. Of course she'd heard about it from Charlotte and Eddie and Iana, but seeing it was truly amazing. When her name was finally called, Linnie took her seat expectantly.
xxx𝓟𝒆𝓻𝓼𝓸𝓷𝓪𝓵𝓲𝓽𝔂xxx xxxxx⇾Active Linnie has trouble staying still and enjoys running, playing, climbing, just about anything to burn off that excess energy. This does sometimes cause problems for her when she needs to focus on schoolwork. xxxxx⇾Friendly She can make friends anywhere and with anyone. Linnie is talkative and likes to befriend anyone she can. Some people might get annoyed with her for being talkative, but she doesn't mind. xxxxx⇾Smart Despite issues with focus, Linnie is still pretty smart. She remembers most facts that she learns and can learn new facts pretty easily. Learning new things seems to come naturally to her. xxxxx⇾Reliable Part of being a good friend is being able to be counted on and that's where Linnie shines. She's there through thick and thin, ready to help her friends wherever they need her. xxxxx⇾Patient Everyone arrives at their own time and Linnie understands that. This makes her especially good at helping people, since she's very calm and doesn't push anyone unless they really need it. xxxxx⇾Honest Linnie simply cannot tell a lie. Her family knows when she tries to lie because her face gives it away easily. She prefers to tell the truth, even if it might be a little hurtful because she wants people to do the same for her.
Damon enjoyed the quiet train ride though he spent an hour trying to catch the chocolate frog. After he ate it he kinda felt bad for the frog but he had 5 new trading cards and a slight tummy ache. He had made himself lunch. His dad chose to sleep in. He was used to caring for him and his brother. The 2 crustless peanut butter and jelly and a juice box would tide him over till dinner. An older student popped by and mentioned he should change. He did so as he didn't want to get in trouble the first day. He exited the train when they arrived and followed the fellow students. He couldn't help but notice one too high energy boy. Weird. He picked a quiet boat and was awed by the castle! Did it have a dragon too? Now he was more excited! He had some issues getting off the boat but there was a nice adult to help. He wanted to blend in with the others his age. Where were all the other older students? His question was answered when they entered the great hall. They walked up the middle and Damon didn't like all the eyes on them. A few older students waved likely to siblings to his classmates. He was middle of the sorting when he heard his name. “Lockwood, Damon” he slipped between the others and went and sat on the stool like he had seen others. He knew nothing about the different houses so he really had no opinion were he would go
STOIC Damon rarely shows emotion. Typicy only extreme emotions are expressed. He mostly doesn't know how or it feels unnecessary or not worth it EASILY FRUSTRATED When things don't go as planned Damon doesn't take it well. He tends to get upset and typically blames himself even in situations he has no control over. He has low tolerance for failure. SOFT HEARTED Damon likes cute things, small fluffy are his favorite and wants to protect vulnerable people and creatures. The more pitiful something or someone is the stronger he wants to help and protect. HONEST Damon doesn't like to lie even if it's for a greater good. Lying is wrong. He has trouble lying even by omission. As such he does not desire to know secrets. Cant lie of you dont know COURIOUS despite not wanting to know secrets he still likes to learn and discover. He enjoyed school and liked to stay late even if it got him in trouble at home. SHELTERED due to his upbringing he has little social skills and can come off as distant and out of touch with what is popular with his peers. This leads to few friends as he unsure how to relate to others
Cyril had a blast with Cait! He happily shared snacks and even some of his lunch box his dad packed. Dad always packed too much. Dad must have known he male a friend right away! Come time to change he left to let Cait change first then vice versa. Arriving he was still so full of excitement and energy. He did spot another boy watching him but the poor guy seemed sad or nervous. He joined the boat Cait was in and offered to hold the lantern. Everyone seemed awed by the castle! He only knew about dads school in Japan. Was it similar? He pondered as they made it to the great hall. Once entered he was amazed by the sky ceiling. He had to wait a bit as his name was a bit later in the alphabet. Shiratori, Cyril” he heard and hopped his way to the stool sitting with a plop. He was thinking about all his potential new housemates and friends and classes and clubs and….
FRIENDLY Cyril loves people and interacting. He is usually first to sit by someone that is sitting alone. He believes everyone deserves a friend. And he's more than happy to be that friend PROTECTIVE Cyril likes to protect what he cares about even strangers if they are in need and he can help. Hes also best to tell a secret to because he take it to his grave if you ask PAMPERED Cyril has been his parent's special boy his whole life. He's rarely wanted and not had it provided. He knows he's lucky and that others don't have it as good HUMBLE He doesn't see himself as better than everyone else and knows he should earn success in life. He's happy to share credit on group endeavors and doesn't like to hog a spotlight AMBITIOUS Cyril is a go-getter. He prefers learning on the go to quiet study and willingly jumps into almost any situation. He also sets high goals for himself HELPFUL Cyril likes volunteering to help. Be it setting the table, or helping in class he is always ready to assist. He's one to run over to help an older person cross a street and even offer to do chores

‧͙⁺˚*・༓☾ Today had been a day of many many firsts, maybe one too many for Note but she was excited nonetheless. She and her family had made the trip to London the day prior so that she could find the hidden platform and ride a magical train all the way to Scotland. Unfortunately due to her nervousness the previous night, she'd barely gotten any sleep and before she could find someone around her age to meet, she'd fallen asleep. She was only woken by an older student explaining they were nearly at the station and to change into her uniform.
After departing the train, she barely had time to really look around (admittedly, it was pretty dark so she probably wouldn't be able to see much regardless) before she was herded with the other first years towards the boats. Note enjoyed this part much more than the train and had to stop herself from turning every which way too often since the boat would rock and one of the other kids started to look a bit green. She did apologize once she figured it out and they didn't seem mad at her so she took it as a minor win! The sight of the castle filled her with awe as she took in just how massive it really was, to the point where she nearly tripped into the lake getting out the water as she couldn't force her eyes away from it.
Following in line with the others, Note's head would swivel every which way trying to take everything in and barely recognized they'd stopped moving until the announcement of the sorting. The nerves she thought had gone came back with a vengeance as she watched student's names be called and get sorted by a magical talking hat (no one in her family was going to believe this!). Her anxiety was so prominent that it took her a moment to realize that her name was being called and then another second to react and move. 'Hello...Mister? Miss? I'm sorry I didn't hear your name before. Um, I don't really know what you need to hear...'☽༓・*˚⁺‧͙

◊ DETERMINEDIf you give Note enough time-or even no time!-she will figure it out. Whether it be a math problem, a table being double booked, or even a bus full of tourist and a broken freezer door, she’ll do her best to figure out any solution and make sure it goes to plan. Good or bad. ◊ IMAGINATIVEOne of Note’s favorite pastimes is daydreaming different scenarios, especially if she’s seen or read something particularly fantastical. Ever since she discovered fanfiction, it opened up whole new avenues that she's enjoying discovering. ◊ ORGANIZEDSincer her childhood discovery, Note has taken to keeping multiple journals and notebooks of her thoughts and ideas. As such, she’s had to learn to become quite orderly and categorized otherwise her notes and books would become a tangled mess. Plus as additional help in the restaurant, she’d learned early on that as long as she was organized, almost everything would run smoothly. ◊ INVENTIVENote enjoys coming up with new ways of doing things or even fixing the way things have “always been done.” She’s very good at not just adapting to a situation but sometimes coming up with ways to make it better. ◊ THOUGHTFULNote’s head is almost always up in the clouds always imagining scenarios or coming up with ideas. Despite her sometimes airheaded nature, she’s always willing to be of help to anyone around her. Sometimes the worlds collide and she’ll be up until two in the morning trying to sew a wrist wrest to help her mama’s arthritis or she’ll keep a flavor of tea that no one else likes except for one particular customer. ◊ IMMATUREDue to being sheltered most of her life, Note has a rather naive look upon the outside world. Her only view of it really comes from the customers who come in or in books and television. It’s unfortunately led to her gullibly falling for things she shouldn’t have had or even believing a person when she should’ve remained skeptical.
And in the daylight we can hitchhike to Maine I hope that someday I'll see without these frames And in the daylight I don't pick up my phone 'Cause in the daylight anywhere feels like home
Bren's heart was beating, probably faster than it should have been, as the first years gathered in the Great Hall. She was trying to convince herself that the house she was put in wasn't ultimately that important, but that didn't do any good at calming her nerves. She had lost some of the confidence she had coming and found herself staying as close as she could to her brother and sister. Her eyes also kept wandering towards her other brother and sister, who were already seated at their house tables. With four siblings here, she was bound to be in the same house as at least one of them, right? She watched with wide eyes as Alec's name was called, knowing she was going next. She blew out a long breath as she heard her name. She gave Gracie's hand a quick squeeze, then headed up to sit on the little stool.
When the hat was put on her head, she bit her lip and tried her best to relax her shoulders. "If I could be in the same house with one of my siblings at least, that would be great, but I guess I trust your judgment one way or the other." After all, it was a sentient talking hat; who was she to say if it made a bad choice?
DETERMINED Bren knows what she wants and tends to focus fully on her goals. She isn't one to just sit back and let things happen; she goes after what she wants. Any obstacles she comes across are only temporary, and she does her best to get back on track as soon as possible. CURIOUS Bren wants to know how the world works. She is constantly learning and discovering new things. She always has questions and isn't content until she finds answers. She wants to understand every detail she comes across. HARDWORKINGBren’s not one to shy away from work, especially if it involves a challenge. When there is something she wants to learn or if she has a goal in mind, she’ll happily put in the effort she needs to accomplish it. She’s self-motivated, and it’s easy for her to stay on top of tasks. STUBBORN Though Bren never does it to be rude, Bren is very stubborn. She isn't likely to change an opinion unless there's really good evidence that she's wrong. She does not like being told what to do, and though she tries to be respectful, she struggles with people in charge insisting she does something, especially without a good explanation. PROTECTIVE The people she loves always come first, especially her family. She'll put herself in the way of danger if it will keep someone else safe. Whether that be a physical threat or something like a bully. She never wants anyone to get hurt. CANDID Bren doesn't hide anything and is always going to share her feelings. Sometimes a little too much. She's never trying to be rude, but she'll be blunt without question if she feels it's necessary. Beating around the bush for the sake of being polite is just not something she does.

Atticus Callahan FIRST YEAR - UNSORTED
Atticus had mostly kept to himself on the journey to Hogwarts. He just...wasn't sure how to talk to people. There were situations that came up naturally, but anyone he'd seen on the Platform or on the train seemed to be in their own groups and he didn't want to insert himself into anything. So, he'd sat quietly, letting his new owl Achilles sit on his leg. He'd been admittedly a little sad when he'd had to leave him with the rest of his things when the first years went up to the Great Hall. So, now he stood there, ringing his hands and waiting for his name to be called. Hopefully it'd be easier to make friends once he was sorted.
When he heard his name, his gingerly made his way up front, taking deep breaths in and out. He sat heavily and ended up closing his eyes as the sorting hat slid into place over his head. He found his brain going blank, so he did all he could. Which was just sitting there; waiting.
DETERMINED Atticus tends to put his full focus into things when he decides they're important. He'll do everything he can to pursue these tasks, and once he sets his mind to something, it's impossible to talk him out of it. If there is an answer that he wants, he is going to find it, and nothing is going to stop him. MORAL Atticus always does what he thinks is right. He wants to make sure that people are treated fairly. He's also not afraid to call people out for being rude or unthoughtful. He has a strong sense of right and wrong and will go out of his way without question to do what he thinks is right. INTELLIGENT Atticus has always been naturally intelligent. He easily remembers things that he's learned and is eager to learn more. He loves to talk about the things he knows and will happily share information with anyone who asks. He often spends time lost in thought while he tries to figure out something new. CLUMSY Atticus is undoubtedly clumsy, and not just physically. He doesn't have the best control of his body and is far from graceful. This can also apply to his mouth. He tends to say things without realizing how they are going to come across. Not rude things, awkward things. He usually realizes this after the fact, but not quickly enough to stop himself. He's also not the best at keeping track of time and is frequently late. SUPPORTIVEAtticus deeply cares about other people. He goes out of his way to be there for other people and is someone you can always rely on. He'll happily offer advice if it's needed, or just be a listening ear. He's patient with those he interacts with. Even though he can come across as shy and maybe even anti-social, people always come first to him. PERCEPTIVE Atticus has an innate awareness of the world around him. He often notices small details that no one else does and can piece things together without too much thought. He also tends to be good at reading people and noticing subtle changes in behavior. He's always observing.

I would sure like to go somewhere nice, and maybe not up too many stairs, if possible." If there was one thing Hogwarts had, it was a whole ton of stairs.

xxxxx⇾Wᴏʀʀɪᴇᴅ: Life is full of changes, and Coty hates them all.
The Professor set the hat down carefully on the student's head. For a moment the hat was silent before speaking.... "I see a worried and cautious child, You have so much room for growth, And worry not child sweet child For there aren't many stairs in..." HUFFLEPUFF!
