It seemed he had a new mission for the time being; a change of pace to his current wandering and squandering. It was rather annoying to be receiving this information now rather than earlier when he could’ve been moving in the intended direction as opposed to dicking around in these ruins. But then again, he should’ve know better than to expect much from his job. At this point though, it seemed he was going off in a new direction with a new plan. Alright then.
Snapping the holocaster off, he turned his attention to the computer at his side. It’d finally finished downloading by this point; probably because Octave had noticed his trainer’s agitation at the incorrect information. Either way, it was finished and Ashley snapped the laptop shut. It was time to get going to the next great or not so great task. Maybe he’d actually get to shoot something at this point. First things first though. He needed to clear out his bags a little bit to make travel easier.
Wandering off a bit he found himself a spare box to ship some of the items at hand back to headquarters. Taking a few items out he tucked them into the box, packaging it up and shipping it off at the local pokemon center. Perfect, he was ready to go. Returning some of his team, keeping Alphonse and Bastien out with him, Ashley started on his way. To where? Who knew, who cared. He just needed to go.

Finally Elizabeth had made it to Cyllage City, knowing that this is where the next gym leader is at. But first she needed to switch out one of her pokemon for another that will really help her out. So she quickly made her way over to the Pokemon Center,walking inside and going straight toward the PC. Then she deposited Cedar and got out Sage, looking over all of her pokemon one last time before she would leave. Once Elizabeth felt like everything was good to go, she had walked out of the Pokemon Center and over to the Gym. She headed inside the gym, extremely surprised when she saw all the rock climbing walls, being told that she has to climb up them in order to get to the gym leader. Climbing a rock wall, really?! But she's in a dress! Likely she had managed to pack some shorts and tops in her bag, so Elizabeth quickly made her way out and back over to the Pokemon Center again. She went into the bathroom, changing out of her dress and into black and pink athletic shorts along with a pink sleeveless tank top. Then she also switched out her heels for pink sneakers, putting away her parasol and the rest of her stuff. Honestly she should have expected that as a trainer, she would be doing a lot more strenuous and athletic activity as opposed to when she was just a coordinator. Also if she changes her clothes and hair up, it could help in making her less recognizable by her father and any Team Void members. So she then put her long hair into a ponytail, finally ready to properly climb a rock wall before leaving the Pokemon Center. Again she made her way back inside the gym, adjusting her bag before approaching the rock wall and she started climbing. Elizabeth had a little trouble at first, never having done this before but soon enough, got the hang of it as she was climbing up the rock walls. Finally she made it all the way up to the top, panting a little as she saw the gym leader. "I'm here to challenge you." she then said to him, ready to battle and get the badge from him.

Grant was in the middle of a bit of personal grooming, patting and revitalizing his signature 'fro from a bit of helmet hair, when he heard someone scrambling up the wall-- with all the sound most trainers made when climbing up his wall he was never caught off guard-- and quickly dropped his hands down to his side. The gym leader looked over the ruby-haired trainer and sprouted a grin before immediately moving to take his spot, "sounds good." Grant released his first pokemon, Amaura, then looked to Elizabeth expectantly. "I'm Grant, as you probably already know, and this is my partner Amaura," he introduced the little long-necked dinosaur with a careful hand gesture. "Hope you're ready for a rocky battle."

Elizabeth had heard Grant, seeing as they had released out Amaura, very surprised to see that. So he has an Amaura as well, huh? This battle should be pretty easy since she also has one too, knowing their weaknesses. Then he was introducing himself and his partner, asking if she is ready for a rocky battle. "I'm Elizabeth, and I am definitely ready to battle. Let's go, Ash!" she had said back to him, nodding and getting out a pokeball. So she let out Ash, the Litwick appearing in front of her as he looked around and wondering why they were let out so soon after what happened in the cave. Then he saw the other pokemon, smiling and thinking that finally he would get to actually battle this time. Elizabeth knew that Amaura would be weak to Fire since they are part Ice-type as well, Ash being her strongest Fire-type pokemon. "Ash, use Overheat on Amaura!" she called out, the Litwick nodding as they were surprisingly much faster than the other. Ash's body turned red before he had released an extremely powerful blast of fire straight at the other pokemon. She was expecting it to take them out completely, shocked when she discovered that it only dealt half the damage that she thought it would. But how?!

Grant raised an eyebrow at Elizabeth's choice of pokemon and although he wouldn't critique it, he was rather surprised. Fire wasn't often a first choice in his gym, but no matter! "Amuara, use Rock Tomb!" he commanded, but as the pokemon began to summon a few rocks she was cut off by the quicker Ash, and she gave a cry when bathed in the flames of the Litwick's Overheat. Despite the overpowering move, however, Amuara proved resilient and only shook herself off. Once she'd managed to recover she started up her attack. "You look a bit confused," Grant addressed Elizabeth, having noting her look of shock. "Amaura's not just an ice type, you know." As he spoke the little dinosaur gave the earth a quick stomp, sending forth a large pile of rocks directly at Ash. "She's a rock type too, which cancels out fire's power." Grant nodded in approval after Amaura's attack, content with the damage that they had done.

Elizabeth was hearing Grant, hearing that Amaura isn't just ice but is also rock too. canceling out the fire. Then she saw as the attack had really hit Ash hard, super effective but still barely standing. How could she have forgotten that Amaura is a Rock-type too?! But now she was realizing that apparently her Litwick is weak to rock, thinking that she should have never used him to begin with for this battle. It seems like she will have to use Sage earlier than she thought that she would have. "Ah, thanks. I should have realized that since I have an Amaura as well. You did enough Ash." Elizabeth had said back to Grant before returning Ash back to his pokeball. "Your turn Sage!" she called out, letting out the purple Vaporeon as he appeared in front of her. Amaura didn't hold an advantage here, and a good chunk of her strength had been burnt away by that last attack, but they'd continue to do their best, they just needed to change up their tactic a bit. "Alright Amaura, Thunder Wave!" Amaura gave a cry before charging up a small current of electricity, allowing it to gather before shooting it at Sage. It was harmless, not even an attack really, but Grant hoped that it'd do some good in the long run.

Elizabeth had heard and saw as Grant made the Amaura do a Thunder Wave. Crap, that can be very bad! She gasped when Sage got hit with the electrical current, but at least it wasn't an attack. Now she was just hoping that Sage will be able to fight despite being hit by that Thunder Wave. "Sage, use Scald!" she called out, the Vaporeon nodding back as he started to step forward. But then the electrical current went through Sage, paralyzing them so they couldn't move at all. "Sage!" Elizabeth had said, upset that the paralysis had taken effect on them. She just needs him to get one attack in at least and then that would be it for this Amaura.

"Rock Tomb, keep it up!" Now that they'd gotten that back-up plan initiated it was time to go back onto offense, and since ice-type attacks wouldn't work as well on Sage, a water type, they'd be sticking to Rock Tomb, chiseling away at their opponent's health while they still could. Grant held his breath when Elizabeth called for Scald, but after a few seconds had passed and nothing had happened the man took advantage of the opening Sage's paralysis provided. "Now's our chance, Amaura! Rock Tomb!" Wary of the Vaporeon's typing Amaura kept her distance, holding her ground as she attacked with rocks once again.

Elizabeth saw as the Amaura had hit Sage with the Rock Tomb before the Vaporeon tried to attack but failed due to the paralysis. At least Sage could take on that Rock Tomb with no problem really. But then the Amaura had used Rock Tomb again, hitting Sage and bringing him down to half of his HP. She thought about having Sage try to use Scald one more time in hopes that the paralysis won't kick in again. But if he was too paralyzed to attack again, then it really would not be good at all. Then Elizabeth remembered that she has a few Full Restores which would not only get rid of the paralysis, but restore their HP to full health again. This way she could get rid of that annoying paralysis and hopefully Sage will be able to defeat the Amaura with Scald. "I'm using Full Restore on Sage!" she said, going through her bag and taking out the Full Restore. Then she called Sage over, giving the medicine to him as she noticed that the electrical current went away and their HP was back to full health again. Elizabeth smiled as Sage stepped forward again, ready to battle and not be stopped by the paralysis this time. She can only hope that he doesn't have Amaura use Thunder Wave again.

Though a bit disappointing, Grant would admit that it was a smart move on Elizabeth's part, using a Full Heal on her pokemon. "Hm." The man grunted before he gestured out to Amaura, silently urging her to continue with her attacks. As useful as Thunder Wave had proven, there wasn't much use in using it a second time especially if Elizabeth just had another item up her sleeve. Grant didn't mind prolonging a battle, but only if it showed results.

Good, now she will definitely defeat them with this last attack. Sage had taken the attack pretty well, still having three quarters of their HP left at least. "Sage, use Scald and defeat that Amaura!" she called out as the Vaporeon nodded back. Sage then released scalding hot water surrounded by steam straight at the Amaura, dealing a ton of damage to them. Elizabeth knew that this would be it, prepared for the next pokemon that Grant would release out next. As long as Sage's attacks hit and he doesn't take too much damage from Grant's next pokemon, this would be her win.
