"It's like an upgraded holocaster. Pretty cool." Aile leaned her back against the wall. "You guys seems to have some kick a** tech."

"I do think you'll want to avoid running up a bill," Sol spoke up, standing a short distance behind Darts.

Ryan had managed to get back to the new HQ and was back down at the pool, recharging not only his gourd, but himself as well. That move he had done was taxing, and if the water levels hadn't been raised, GRAY would of been right: It would of been too much.

"For now, work your way back to the others. The explosive's on the outskirts of the city at this point, so things should be neutralized-" Unfortunately, GRAY's broadcast would be cut short. Ryan's efforts further managed to start quelling the riot, but that wasn't the reason for that. What was would be the sudden ascension of the black box Xipil was holding, having decided that it wasn't wise having two or potentially more near something that could either be safe or highly dangerous, and thus tossed it into the air as hard as he could.

This turned out to be a very smart move, as the black box would explode soon after. Luckily, the distance avoided the worst of it, but raining shrapnel and the like wasn't going to make for a lot of fun. It was a stunning experience to be sure, quieting the riot...

Unfortunately, the officers and the like that were trying to deal with the crowd were now able to start dealing with them, one of the speaking up over the loudspeakers. Something about the large majority of them being under arrest for failing to cooperate with the Royal Guard. Afterward, GRAY finally resumed his broadcast.

"...Nevermind. I doubt any of you actually want to be arrested. Instead, escape. Escape and return to the HQ. Don't get caught."

As the Royal Guard was dealing with the bulk of the riot's crowd, though, the Snagems should have more than enough time to get back into the HQ and to safety.

Ren and Kasumi were quick to call back their Pokemon, except for their Kirlia's, but they had to keep away from the guards until Pidgeotto was able to get back. Once Pidgeotto returned, Kasumi recalled it, then they ordered their Kirlia's to teleport them into the base. Kasumi's Kirlia teleported her into her room and Ren's Kirlia teleported him into his room, which were right acrossw the hall from each other. They met in that hall and went through the main living area and down to B3, to the med lab, to have their Pokemon healed.

Pidgeotto, who had been hit by a couple pieces of falling shrapnel, took the longest to heal, but once that was done they used the PC in the medlab to exchange some Pokemon. Kasumi kept her Persian, Togepi and Riolu, but let her Aerodactyl, Pidgeotto, and Kirlia rest a bit. Ren kept his Linoone, Riolu, and Rotom, but deposited his Aerodactyl, Grovyle, and Kirlia to let them rest up.

With that done, they both headed up to B1 to test out some of the video games.

The next day. "The Royal Guard has reportedly arrested approximately one thousand protesters, citing violations such as unlawful gathering, trespassing, resisting arrest, obstruction of justice, violence, and lèse-majesté. His majesty was asked for his opinion on the protest but has denied comment. The Captain of the Royal Guard has justified the arrests stating that his majesty is not against free speech so long as it is done in a civilized manner, which yesterday's protest was not. The Royal Guard has further claimed that at least one officer was in critical condition after being attacked by a stray Pokemon, reportedly belonging to a protester. The Pokemon fighting in the sky above Centrico Plaza was also reported to have been owned by protesters attempting to attack his majesty in Prism Tower's terrace, however they were prevented by the Royal Guard's noble efforts. We will-" Sub grunted as he turned off the TV, annoyed at how everything is playing out already. Sure, they stopped the bomb from going off, which had made things much worse, but Team Flare still managed to arrest many protesters. For now, he just laid back on the couch in the main area and tried to relax.

Darts happens to amble by at this point in time, sipping from a polystyrene cup of coffee that had once again been shoved in his face by GRAY. "So, no news is good news, right fearless leader?" He asks, sitting in an armchair near Sub. "They don't even have any news about you guys being there, which could have blown the lid off this whole operation we have going on right now."

Ren and Kasumi had entered the main area and saw the news broadcast, and both rolled their eyes "so many lies." Ren grumbled "We stopped Team Flare's attack, Didn't anyone make a video?"

"There were a lot more then a thousand people there, so the truth will get out." Kasumi answered "If we wanted to attack Prism Tower, we could have done a lot of damage before they ever had time to react. Who'd expect us to come in on Aerodactyl's?"

"What are we doing about this?" Ren asked Sub

"You're right." Sub said in reply to Darts as he raised up from his laying down position. "Our secret is still safe but Team Flare, or should I use their cover name, the Royal Guard, still succeeded in hijacking the protests. While they failed to label them as terrorists that still partially succeeded." He grunted. "Not sure." He said to Ren. "Right now Lumiose City is in an uproar over the protests, most people here already don't like the monarch so I fear it's only a matter of time before more riots break out. And when they do, the Royal Guard will crack down again, and eventually try to seize more power in order to maintain 'order'. A thousand protesters arrested is not even a drop in Lumiose City's population bucket."

"So, what's the plan then," Isaac said, walking in from the living quarters area of the base, "I assume that we aren't just going to sit here idle, while all this happens."

"A hundred thousand minus a thousand's still a city," Aile commented, walking into the main room. "Still, though. Yesterday could have gone a lot better indeed." Aile looked at Isaac before turning back. "Good question."

Darts shakes his head a little, throwing off some of the creeping tendrils of the Distortion World crawling inside his head, fortifying the effort with a drink of coffee. "Well, order is what you make of it. But I do have a question, if I may? Seeing how Kalos is a monarchy, shouldn't there be some kind of way to contact the king? Most monarchs had a day where they would listen to the appeals of the people."

"Next time a situation like that happens, I think we should bring video camera's" Kasumi suggested "Maybe we could teach our Alakazams or our Kirlia's to film it all, that way we can feed the truth to the media."

"That depends upon how much control that the Royal Guard has over the media" Ren answered

Isaac snorted at this, "That assumes he actually gives a s**t about what the people think, or what problems they might have. For all we know he might be a self centered a*****e."

"Actually, funny you mention that. The rest of this month is dedicated to the anniversary of the royal family's rule. As such, each day the current monarch will meet with one commoner and hear their complaints and such. Though some rumors have gone around that last year the only 'commoners' that got to see the king were those related to the Royal Guard in some way. Some believe it's nothing but a publicity stunt." Sub said to Darts.

"But yes, we did succeed in one thing yesterday." Sub said as he took out a pair of red glasses and a Royal Guard badge. "Veronica attacked a plain clothes Royal Guard member, during the resulting chaos of her actions I picked these up. Now, I doubt we would be able to penetrate any restricted areas but perhaps we can make use of these trinkets in some way. Either way, yesterday's happening could also be beneficial to our plans. The Royal Guard has shown the populace that they do not care about their well being, unless they fall in line with the king." He explained.

Ryan was still down in the pool area of the HQ. He and his gourd have been recharged, but he was thinking back on what went down last night.
