Leigh Ann was about to happily regale the other guardians with tales of her parents and their heroism when the Huntress spoke up.
"They're... close to war?" Leigh Ann asked. She didn't sound too worried, however, being naive to what exactly that could mean.

Shechina would have answered Rand, but the Huntress beat her to it. However, Shechina wasn't going to take offense. It just wasn't how she was bred. "Wait, the last war?" she asked, her brow furrowing in concern. "That's not good. I've heard tales of the last war between the kingdoms since I was barely walking. None of them good. So I really do have to play peacemaker on a large scale," she added to herself.

War. Randuin immediately lost his smile as the memory of his father's cabin left a smoldering wreckage of its former sight with his foster parent left dead rose to the forefront of his thoughts. "...Do you know what it is that is affecting the Kings so negatively? Or shall we be the ones who discover what's going on behind the scenes?" he asked softly, a inner flame burning away inside his pensive gaze turned to the mysterious silver-haired beauty in the room. He suspected that the Kings would not take kindly to their presence in any event, and he was unsure of their actions to be done then. Would they strike down the current monarchs if it came down to it? Could they repeat the mistake of their predecessors? He wasn't sure if he could be trusted with such a decision, not while he still had questions without answers pertaining to his past.

“The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”"I am rarely near a town of this size, and never near the capitals. On top of that, I still haven't figured out why you humans do the stupid things you do.", the Huntress says in response. She pauses a moment to pull her mask back up, straightening her posture after doing so. "In other words, I only sensed the imbalance and started searching for you. You will have to find the reason yourselves." “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...” -'Moonlight Sadow', Mike Oldfield

In truth he hadn't expected an easy answer for their newly related conundrum. It had seemed like a point of conflict for their existence if everything had just simply been handed to them without any effort on their part to do more. Rand sat back grabbing more food to eat, the feeling of deep foreboding running throughout his thoughts. So first things first...This means I'll probably be separated from Leigh and Valiant since they're from the Shadow Kingdom. And I still haven't met the Wind or Light Guardians...So I'll be alone here in the Light Kingdom. "I'll do my part then here in the Light Kingdom Huntress. Any suggestions on where I should start? Though I'm leaning towards the Fire King..."

“The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”Huntress looks over at Rand, "My suggestion is to 'hold your horses', as you humans are fond of saying. I need to train you first and even after that, I'm not letting any of you travel alone." She sounded mildly irritated as she spoke, clearly not liking having to explain what she thought was rather obvious. “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...” -'Moonlight Sadow', Mike Oldfield ((You humans don't impress her very much))

"I think we should stay together," Shechina said quietly. "Wouldn't it make more sense that way? Since we've only just become acquainted, really, and people would believe us more easily if all the Guardians are saying the same thing and they're not just hearing it from one?" She looked to the Huntress, relieved the woman seemed to think along the same lines she did.

((So time for us to train and prove ourselves above our race eh? I'm game.))
Rand sighed for he had no possible counterargument to both Spirit Mages' statements; he considered himself the weakest among the people gathered within his inn room and he knew he needed assistance with his Magic. "Fine. It only makes sense for us humans to slow down and learn all that we can." Folding his arms across his chest he tilted his head towards Shechina, flashing her a quick grin of excitement. "Though I guess this isn't all bad. I get to stay around people far more interesting than myself. So I can only learn from the experiences to come."

“The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”The Huntress shakes her head slightly as she sighs. How a humans emotions always seemed to be changing every other second, and how they seemed to control the humans actions, was one of the main things she just didn't understand. "While optimism is good, you must remember that it will be difficult to master your power." “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...” -'Moonlight Sadow', Mike Oldfield

Rand nodded to the Huntress after she spoke, recognizing the value of her warning though he felt a surge of mild annoyance in her tone. Was she looking down on them all despite their role as Guardians? It would make some odd form of sense, seeing as she was by far older than all of them put together three times over. Still, it irked him to be considered less than competent in spite of his admitted shortcomings already. "I understand. Training in itself is going to take some time. I've got the time and the patience. It's not like I can do anything on my own now can I?"

“The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”"You could figure it out on your own, though it would take a bit more time.", the Huntress responds. She had felt his emotions change yet again and she frowns slightly, "Did I say something to offend you..?" “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Rand frowned slightly at her notice of his emotions, wondering if he would ever get used to being read to easily. With a sigh he decided that honesty would be the best policy rather than antagonize his soon-to be mentor. "I'm alright for the most part, thank you for asking. I just feel as though you don't care much for us humans. With good reason it seems; I'm hardly doing my race credit or favors," he chuckled softly, bowing his head forward as a sign of remorse.

“The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”The pale woman sighs again as she rubs a spot a little below and behind her left ear. She's silent for a few moments as she tries to think of a proper response. She mutters something in a strange somewhat bestial language, sounding frustrated. “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...” -'Moonlight Sadow', Mike Oldfield

((Last for the night.))
Rand sat back and continued eating quietly, feeling silently guilty for the lack of a response from the Huntress. He hadn't truly meant to offend or confound her, though the sound of her unusual language made his ears perk up to listen much more closely to her statements. Although not as curious as Valiant seemed to be, the Fire Mage was more than amenable to the idea of getting to learn so much more about the female who seemed to be linked to their mutual destiny as beyond mere humans. "It's nothing important really Huntress. Even if you're biased against humans that doesn't really matter to me. But I doubt you are that biased. You're...not very open, but you seem like a good enough person. You drew us all together after all."

((Night. I think I'l head to bed too... Probably should have a few hours ago)) “The trees that whisper in the evening... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...”"I wouldn't say that I'm biased... Just... Racial and cultural differences make interaction difficult for me...", the Huntress responds, still sounding a bit frustrated. She mutters something else in her native tongue as she leans against the wall, golden eyes scanning the young humans in the room with her. “Sing a song of sorrow and grieving... Carried away by a moonlight shadow...” -'Moonlight Sadow', Mike Oldfield
