Maya nodded, soon drifting back to sleep, tucking her hands under her head to use as a pillow.

Fid watched her as she slept, hoping she would get better soon. Where were the humans? she needed help...

The fever caused the drow to have several hallucination induced dreams, ones that didn't make much sense, but still caused her to mumble nonsense in her sleep, tossing and turning the entire time.

The wolf walked into the tent. Fid looked at him. Giving off a small, grunt-like sound, he told Fid the humans were coming. Fid turned to Maya and wished to her for her to have strength.

Maya was still asleep, trying to recover her energy once more, having used everything she could to heal her wounds a bit so she'd have less to worry about later.

Soon Fid could hear horses and a wagon. The humans had arrived. Steeling himself, he didn't know how to greet his old family. Walking outside of his tent, a fewm men surrounded hom, patting him on the back and saying hello. He hurried the hellos though. They seemed pretty cheery, considering that there was a drow in his tent and that they knew from the note. The Men went in to gently move Maya to the wagon.

The drow only stirred for a slight moment when the humans moved her from the tent to the wagon, though she wasn't even aware of the move at the time. The only indication she had of anything happening at the time was a short dream that she was flying. She whispered Fid's name again before slipping back into a deep sleep.

As Fid went to pack everything up, a man stopped him. "H-hey dad." Fid looked at his feel, feeling like a kid again. The man before him was the leader of the village, Berem. He had raised Fidelius from a baby, alone. Berem placed a hand on Fid's shoulders and turned him towards the wagon. "Go watch over her. She needs you boy." Fid was afraid his father would be mad Fid made friends with a Drow, but the humans were more family than the Elves. They trusted him.

Had Maya been awake for the exchange between the father and son, she probably would have been jealous. Such relationships did not exist where she was from. She was no more than a skilled soldier in her mother's eyes, and her father was just a pawn, used by her mother and then thrown away when he outlived his usefulness. Her fever continued to burn, as she lay there, the light sparkling off her snow white hair since her cowl had fallen back when she was moved.

As beautiful as Fidelius thought Maya looked, he repositioned her cowl. The sun would hinder her healing. He sighed as Berem picked up his stuff and soon they set off. It would take the rest of the day to get back to the village, if they ran that is.

After three hours of traveling, Maya came around a little, moaning softly as she opened her eyes. It took a few seconds before the drow realized that she was moving, and she looked around for Fidelius, now a little frightened and confused as to what was going on.

Fid was sitting next to her, back against the front wall of the wagon. Looking at her, he placed a hand on her shoulder. "Calm down. Berem came. My father is here..." He poked his father's shoulder and the man turned around. He was riding shotgun, looking out for bandits. "Hello little miss."

Seeing Fidelius, Maya calmed, settling where she lay once more, though her eyes flicked to Berem when he spoke to her. She opened her mouth to respond, but found that no more than a soft whisper would pass her lips, making the drow sigh lightly.

Berem smiled at her. "Don't worry, I'll take that as a 'I'll gut you when I'm better sorta thing.' Of course, I'm kidding and I'm sure my boy wouldn't hang out with the wrong people." He laughed before turning around.

Maya winced slightly at the joke. It might've just been a joke to Berem, but it was something most people assumed when they saw her. That she'd just gut them. Casting her gaze downwards, she just closed her eyes, deciding to rest for the moment and just try to forget Berem's joke.
