The warm sun and the breeze reminded Talya of summers on the steppes, minus the clouds of flies and other hazards, and she drank in the warmth. It was a beautiful day to fly, and a glorious day for the Badgers to hopefully put their own signature on this campaign. With a bit of luck, they could claim second place and kick the Lions down to last place. When the Snakes won the Cup, Talya was there to give her big brother and future sister-in-law big hugs to congratulate them on their complete victory.
It wasn’t lost on her that she predicted the Lions’ inevitable doom, and that Alynn was upset afterwards for having to take on Hes basically by himself. He wasn’t even bothered by her choice of attire at that point and told her that she’d been right to cheer the Snakes on. Alynn wasn’t disappointed in his own efforts, but that was as far as any good feelings went for him.
She soon spotted Eddie and Iana walking along, and Talya smiled at the sight. Waiting until they split off, Talya rushed up to him and gushed, “Okay, Eddie, today’s our day to shine. We need to be like Hes, do to the Eagles what she did to my cousin. Keep their Chasers penned up, run them down like Cossacks, don’t let them get a shot on Rey, and bury them in goals. We can do this!”
