Walking out to the pitch, Seoirse worked on rubbing sun cream into his cheeks. While it was still spring, it was both super sunny and very hot. He didn't want a sunburn, after all. He pulled on his gloves, ready for the game. He and Zoe had been practicing their offensive strategies and today was the day to show them off. Brown eyes looked up into the stands, offering a wave toward where his family said they'd be. It really helped knowing they'd all be watching his performance.

Lily couldn't believe this was her last quidditch game at Hogwarts. Everything had gone very differently these last seven years than Lily had ever expected and she had to admit, she was sad to be leaving. As each of her teammates came to the field, she gave them a big smile. She wanted to know she was behind them no matter what before she left them. They may not be winning the cup this year, but she wanted to make sure they didn't feel totally defeated.

Persephone had a mix of feelings as she came out to the quidditch pitch. Everyone here was very aware they wouldn't be winning the cup this year. Maybe it would happen eventually...but, she also didn't want to end the year on a completely sour note. There was at least still a chance to win this game, so that is what she would try to focus on. She would do her best to hype up the team and at very least, keep a smile on her face for the time being.

As warm as it was, Rey wouldn’t have minded wearing a pair of shorts for today’s match against the Eagles. Though it wasn’t as hot and gawd-awful humid as it was on those family trips to California, the little redhead was feeling the relentless pressure of that sun on her fair skin. She took the precaution of slathering suntan lotion on every inch of exposed skin, and her goggles now had a Light Polarizing Charm cast upon them so they acted as sunglasses. She hoped the rest of their squad was so prepared for the last match of the season.
The Cup was already decided: she and Finn helped Hes ensure the Cup was already out of everybody’s reach, owing to their failures on the pitch earlier in the season, before Jo put an exclamation point on the Snakes’ campaign, and a dagger through the hearts of Lions. Admittedly, many things needed to go the Lions’ way for them to win the Cup, or to just win, and none of them happened. The aftermath still bothered Rey, especially when she couldn’t find Finn afterwards. She went up to Gryffindor Tower and got Nera to help her find him ... eventually, once she convinced the slobbering dunce of a wolfhound that she needed him to be useful, rather than give her a tongue bath.
Thankfully, the lovable dope of a dog realized she was scared and needed him, though Rey found she wished she had Linsey’s wolfhound instead; he seemed smarter than Rey felt on her bad days. When they found him, Finn was so depressed, feeling he’d failed Seb and the others and hadn’t done his part. He spoke of putting his gear in the garret and forgetting about it all, spending the time he would have wasted on practice instead preparing for NEWTs. It pained her to hear him describe himself as a ‘great whacking idiot on a broomstick’. Rey hoped his friends would convince Finn to have one more go-around; else it would fall to her to do it.
With that weighing on her mind, and she already had enough preying on her ability to stay focused, it was hard for her to help Seph get the Badgers focused on today’s match. With the Snitch and a goal, they could tie the Eagles for second place, two goals, and they’d have it free and clear. This assumed they caught the Snitch, and Rey could … well, earn her Keep. The season was over, but they could still salvage something and take pride in their efforts.
