Of course there wasn’t any difficulty for Alphonse in disposing of the Ekans with a single fire blast. An action that even caught the snake pokemon’s owner off guard. The Aurorus didn’t stand much of a chance against Odilon which didn’t surprise Ashley. The pokemon, as majestic looking as it was, had quite a bit of weakness to it. On top of that, from what he was gathering, the boy’s pokemon were on the weak side. Oh well, they were still opponent’s to train against and that was worthwhile.

- The Pignite came and swiftly went down a mere seconds after pounding its chest in challenge. Of course, what was to be expected when you sent out a fire type against a water type? As amazing as it was to see a Landorus, it was a shame it was so weak. Before Ashley could even pull out his device to scan the pokemon in question, it’d been fainted by a solid ice shock to the face. Ashley simply rolled his eyes, arms folded over his chest as he waited for the battle to conclude. The boy only had a couple of pokemon left at this rate and his team was chewing them rather easily. There were other trainer’s seeming to watch and wait as well. Good, more challengers were welcomed.

The Lombre went down the hyperactivity that was Theodor, which to some degree amused Ashley but also concerned him. Now the Jolteon was brimming with energy and he’d have to deal with that later. The turtle went down without a hitch and soon was replaced by its lesser evolution not a moment later. Ashley had to quirk an eyebrow at that. Fossil pokemon were rather rare so the fact that this girl possessed two, both evolutions of one another at that, was pretty impressive. He was half tempted to inquire how she’d obtained them, but it was clear from her face as Theodor smashed the Tirtouga down into the ground with another bolt of lightning that she probably wouldn’t care to answer.

Ashley stifled a yawn, waiting patiently as the girl fished out one of her last two pokemon. She seemed to be hesitating at this point, not surprising given all that had just happened, but the delay was only going to make the pain of her defeat harder to handle.

One last pokemon. Ashley was rather surprised by this one as well; a Zorua. A pokemon that realistically, should’ve appeared well before any of the other pokemon the girl had sent out. Clearly, she didn’t understand how to make use of the pokemon’s special ability, leaving the poor creature to come out in its natural form. A pity; the girl had a respectable team but she clearly didn’t know how to put it to use. She’d probably receive them as gifts given the situation. Still, he wasn’t there to advise young trainers on how to train their teams; he was there to build his own team up and all that jazz.

Ashley watched as the girl returned the last of her fallen pokemon, her cheeks puffed out in obvious agitation as she all but turned away from the French man in a rage. Any consolation would’ve been lost if he had tried, but honestly, Ashley didn’t care for her attitude anyways. At least her friend had been nice enough to thank him.
