AstoriaFallen Name: Ragna Meaning/Origin (if applicable): Old Norse "Advice, Counsel" Personality: Ragna will be much like Renáta in not wanting to involve herself too deeply with the drama that surrounds many of their family members. However, instead of taking the rank of Reaver to get away from it all she will seek the role of Priestess and become absorbed with training. She will not tolerate unnecessary drama but that doesn't mean she won't start any of her own. She will be sly and cunning with her words and feign innocent to any accusations thrown her way. She will be calm and collected and prove strong and stable in stressful situations. While she might not be evil, she does have a nasty temper if provoked. She will cut you down with not only her words but her teeth and claws. She isn't afraid to act this way towards any siblings that bring out that side of her either. She strongly believes you get what you ask for, so one needs to be careful what they say around her because she may use your words against you later in life. Future rank: Freeborn to Priestess Opinion on Ragnvard/Ronan 'issue': Just as there are two sides to every story she will try to remain as neutral as she can for as long as she can in the whole ordeal. When it comes down to it she will end up taking Ronan's side and support him in any way she possibly can. However, she isn't going to openly broadcast her allegiance. Family Plots: She will remain in the shadows of the entire war until it's absolutely necessary to make herself known. She will however partake in minor plots that don't require much of her when she's younger. SSBrosB Name: Rebekka (I have seen it as being used in Danish)/Renata Meaning/Origin (if applicable): young woman whose beauty ensnares men/ warrior of judgment Personality: Those that know her would call her quite brave. She’ll be the first to charge into a battle and likes the thrill of fighting. She knows there is a risk with every battle, but as a stormborn she wants to live up to her heritage and her pride. She’ll even spar with others for fun or before going on a raid. She is also quite ambitious as she wants to become a reaver as an adult and knows that it’s a bit harder for females to gain that title. However she is willing to do whatever it takes because she just can’t see herself stuck as a freeborn, not helping the pride in getting supplies, slaves, and what have you. She wants to be directly involved in helping the pride and she believes the best way she can do that is by becoming a reaver. Because of this she is quite fearless, even knowing that there can be danger. She feels though that it is her duty as a stormborn to face every challenge without fear and she would be honored to die in battle rather than on the sidelines, unable to defend herself. Becoming a reaver also means that one must be tough enough to do so and she tries her best to fit that requirement. She doesn’t like to express emotions she considers weak such as fear, sadness, etc. She does not like any emotion that will ultimately distract her in battle or out of it. That includes anger as she does believe that too much of it can be a detriment, eventually you are unable to tell the difference between what is right and what one thinks is right. With all of these qualities, she has certainly become quite confident in herself. She doesn’t believe she can win every battle, but she will try anyway and knows that she has done enough training to know that she can already overcome many things, especially getting accepted as a reaver even though she is a female. She doesn’t quite understand though why there are such gendered prejudices though, even against males. She may think of those males as weak, but if they are not good enough to be in battle, why not allow them in a role they are more suited for? She doesn’t really have any positive or negative views on slaves, only that if they did not want to be captured, they should have tried harder to not be caught or to die in battle. She does however recognize their usefulness. Future rank: Reaver Opinion on Ragnvard/Ronan 'issue': She has a higher opinion of Ragnvard than Ronan. She doesn’t believe Ronan is wrong per se, but Ragnvard was voted as captain and did come back to the battle. He is a bit too violent though for her, even though she loves the thrill of battle that doesn’t mean she really likes the thrill of hurting others who clearly are unwilling to fight. She herself doesn’t find a fight fun if the other side isn’t willing or prey. Currently she is more neutral on the issue, not aligning herself with either brother, but her opinion will change depending on how the war/situation develops. Family Plots: Neutral as of right now, will join a side once the plot is more developed depending on what happens. Personal plots: She will be very involved with the pride and traveling about outside of it while on raids. Will be willing to help the pride in battles when they need it. .: Personality :. He is a hard lion and rather cold hearted, one who embodies the warrior spirit. Tough and determined he lives for reaving. He is not wholly without emotion though and does sometimes take time out to unwind and relax about the pride, but during those periods he will often be found alone, disliking rowdy company.
.: History :. Born to a Reaver and his freeborn mate as part of a legitimate litter, he has spent his whole life training, and once old enough, became a Reaver and joined his father's band. On reaching his adulthood he moved into another band in order to avoid fighting with his father. (As both males were hard headed and stubborn). He wants to move into the warlord's Viking band, if only to see if it's any different, and for extra challenge.
Part of an effective fighting pair with Aksel. Used to viking under the old Captain Arnljótr until the elder lion died in battle.
Arch rival of his brother Ragnvard. Ronan and Aksel were the only two lions to threaten his brother when the darker male was planning the murder of their old Captain. The pair refused to leave the grizzled old warrior when Ragnvard started trying to entice them away though didn't realise the full extent of his depravity until after the murder. Still they and very nearly saved him during the attack, but three lions were not enough against the Sith attackers and the plan succeeded. Ever since Arnljótr's death, Ragnvard has been plotting to take Ronan down in revenge. Though so far Ronan has proved the stronger against every enemy Ragnvard has put against him.

.: Personality :. Ragnvard is a sharp-minded male, cunning and sly. A master tactician and skilled both as a straight up fighter and as a Captain. Charasmatic and charming when it suits him but capable of acts of incredible violence and destruction. To those loyal to him he is Master and Provider both, assuring his reavers never want for anything, be it food, thralls or fights. In return he demands obediance and dedication to his goals. He is heavily involved in the education of younger members, believing the strength of the pride lives in the future generations. He is a true Stormborn, living and adhering to the very heart of the Myrsky Syntynyt philosophy. Strength is all, weakness will not be tolerated.
Those that loathed him spoke of his vile ways and vicious temper. But those that revered him talked of his dedication, drive and determination. He was Stormborn, and he made sure everyone knew it.
.: History :. Ragnvard wasn't always evil, he felt betrayed by his brother when he thought Ronan would take his side when they were young, but Ronan didn't side with his less than honest younger sibling and often left Ragnvard to stand by himself. Ronan is the elder brother and Ragnvard used to look up to him. But Ran was always more ambitious and violent than Ronan felt comfortable with. Ran couldn't understand why his brother abandoned him, not realising it was his own behaviour that drive Ronan away.
He won his place as Captain through the death of the previous Captain Arnljótr, having slyly plotted the former's death through his own reavers. Causing the best fighters to abandon him for richer prospects and filling the ranks with less skilled warriors and his own spies, before letting the band wander into an ambush, having heard of a group of Nguvu Tamaa warriors prowling the area from his own reavers and simply not passing the information along. As soon as he took control he brought in lions loyal to him and hand picked the best and most savage fighters from around the pride. Giving those lions most others wouldn't touch a spot in his group. They quickly came to be known as one of the most blood-thirsty bands in the pride.

.: Notes :. He has a long-distance friendship/secret lady fling thing with Tala in the Pridelands. She becomes something of a guilty secret for him, he acts in a completely different manner from his usual hard-nosed egotistical self. Her sense of humour and quirkiness amuses him and makes him laugh. He is no longer Captain of the Stormborn with her, but just a regular lion enjoying the company of a slightly weird but wonderful lioness.

Daughter: Kālī-mā'ī - Black widow in Hindi She seems perfectly normal -for being Ragnvard's daughter- around the pride. She is a skilled reaver though has no desire to become Captain, though not for the reasons everyone assumes. Becoming Captain would curtail her extra-curicular activities as she would have to stay near the pride and keep an eye on her band. Instead she spends a good portion of her time outside the pride when not on a viking. She comes back pregnant after most of these visits but never with a male thrall in tow. (She usually kills her mates after the deed is done. Though occassionally one impresses her enough that she leaves without slaying him.) She keeps several female thralls at home to look after her many litters. (May have a female salt wife.)

Son: Belial - Theme tune - "Who Taught You How To Hate" by Disturbed & 'Rather hate than Hurt' by Hinder He is a very conflicted male. His natural temper is calm and thoughtful, but Ragnvard singled him out as a cub because he showed extreme promise as a fighter and Ran chooses Belial to be his successor. So he is pushed and pushed and pushed, made to fight and train constantly. It becomes too much and he snaps, going berserk. Ragnvard uses his new Beserk ability and turns him into a killer, but one who, when he regains control of himself and realises what he has done, despairs. It drives Belial partly insane, though no one will be able to tell as he has always been a quiet, standoffish cub and only grows more so as he ages. He develops a kind of split personality, doing as Ragnvard says but inside he hates it.
I'm not sure if he or his sister will overthrow Ragnvard, or if Ronan or his son Roan will get there first, XD Ran gains a Lot of enemies over the years though his daughter Tiamat will want to overthrow him to prove she is better, where as Belial will simply try and murder Ragnvard in order to escape his torment. May also marry Lucivar's daughter Aeshma.

.: History :. Brother of Ragnvard, Ronan, Rayn and Vundi. The same age as Ragnvard and Ronan, he was the runt of the litter. Unlike his stronger brothers he never took to the reaver life. Instead he had a sharp mind and excellent memory. Combined with his sly and shrewd nature he took to life as a lawkeeper, apprenticed under Lawspeaker Bjartur. While his father doesn't really care either way so long as his son is successful, Raskogr feels as if the entire family disapproves. Which has made him bitter and resentful. He and his brothers have never gotten along, Ronan treats him well enough but has his own concerns. Ragnvard will use him for his lawspeaker skills but the two brothers tend to clash when in close proximity. Ragnvard considers lawspeakers to be weak but dangerous, which strains their already tense relationship.
He was betrothed to a lioness named Seqineq when they were both cubs, in an arranged marriage by their parents. Neither really got along and have been actively avoiding the issue, claiming they needed to wait until Raskogr was a full lawspeaker.

Though she was too young to have been involved in the original assassination attempt, being born of a later litter to her older brothers and sisters, she sided with Ragnvard upon entering adulthood, knowing that her ambitious red-coated brother would be able to carry her own carreer forwards more swiftly than her tacturn golden brother. A totally stratigic move for her own gain.

.: Personality :. Like her name she is bright and sunny and completely imperious. A true little princess she knows what she wants and she isn't afraid to take it. She is also highly individual, despite coming from a very plain-coloured family this little female makes her voice heard loud and clear. Picking Ronan over Ragnvard as her favored brother she is the golden lion's loud-mouthed defender. But she takes after Ragnvard more than she does her other siblings, being smart and sly and willing to bend the rules to get what she wants. Thankfully for her parents she is a little more altruistic than her darker brother.

.: Personality :. Abrupt and no-nonsense, this little girl is the exact oppersit of her littermate Raija. The drama between her various family members annoys her and from an early age she decides to become a reaver for the sole purpose of escaping her unruly rabble of siblings. She takes no notice of Ragnvard or Raskogr, and it fairly annoyed that she resembles the lawspeaker of the family so closely. Their resemblance has been pointed out to her by well-meaning pridemembers all her life, which has made her take his weakness as a personal slight. Refusing to be drawn into the family drama that her siblings seem intent on propergating, she quickly develops a prickly and unwelcoming manner. But in truth she is just a practical and sensibly minded lioness.
