 Stampede = Rodeo + Carnival + Extras. It's a HUGE event for Calgary. Huge as in a full day trip and you still might miss things. It's slogan is "The Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth" and I agree. It happens once a year and is just MASSIVE. So big, that it has a permanent location built into the city.

Wow that sounds like uber fun! Maybe I'll visit sometime... would it be cold when Stampede is taking place? XD

Nope. It usually happens early July. Right when it's absolutely beautiful out. Some of Calgary's record high's have happened during stampede.

It is amazing. I tend to work it though, so I don't get as much as I really could out of it. But I do get free entrance into the park!

 YCQ invader Celestial_Tenchi flys....I go to stampede once a year usually, but it isn't cheap, so i only go on a couple rides, and i don't usually play games, and i pack food and water and stuff, and limit myself lol

The main thing for me at Stampede, is the Super Dogs. It's a group of dogs that are trained for different activities. The whole show is amazing. Some of the dogs are flat out hilarious. Imagine a border collie and a bull dog competing in agility. Or a pomeranian and a dalmatian. They have a different theme each year. I can't do Stampede without seeing them.

I definitely have to see that if I ever go to Canada!
I didn't get to see anything, but in my old middle school we have a dock that goes out to the bay. The marine teacher said that a pod of dolphins came and performed for them one day, and they were wild too!
I guess I'll just stick with Sea World (which I've never been to XD)

I'd just go to see the fishies, that sounds more interesting to me really.
Though if I just want to see fish I could either go to my middle school or the aquarium XD

i usually go to theme parks in the summer, i love the ride. Stampede sounds awsome
