"I hear they are. Mahina was one of the smaller eggs of her mother's batch but still one of my closest friends." Hana said while continuing to tussle with the small pokemon's hair. The Cleffa went to inspect Ava closer with an inquisitive look on its face. After a brief inspection of the girl the Cleffa gave its approval and reached behind it for the Dewgong plushie. With it in the Cleffa's grasp, Mahina would bring it forward to show to Ava in a sibling type of way. "Cleffa!" Mokihana could only laugh at her pokemon's action towards the girl she had run into at the station. "As you can see. Back home, legends say that they came to this world on stars that fell from the skies. Hence the star shape to their bodies." When asked about the classes that she took, Hana chewed the inside of her lip while she did her best to try and recall what she had taken. "Hmmm. I know I had a list somewhere that had them."
She gave her coat and quick pat down to see if she had put the paper anywhere inside of them. No luck. She continued to quickly go through pockets one by one while still keeping an eye on the faint sliver of color in front of her. "I don't think I have the note on me. I do remember breeding and coordination on them but that's a maybe." After two more rounds of digging through any place a note could be, the student gave a huff and gave up. "Sorry. If we were back at the academy I could check more easily. Maybe the staff here wouldn't mind if I sat in with you on one of the classes? It's exciting experiencing something new after all! What kind of things do they have in the tech class? It does sound interesting." She asked, adjusting the glasses that sat upon her face while idly hugging Mahina and cradling the cleffa in her arms.

Ava looked to the Cleffa with a smile as the smaller pokemon held a plushie up to Ava to look at. It was a pokemon called a Dewgong, if Ava recalled the sign by the prizes correctly. It was one of the plushies you could win playing the lottery game. Though Ava had never seen the real life version, it looked pretty cute as a plushie. Apparently Cleffas has a little history behind them. According to Hana, they came to the world through falling stars, thus they were star shaped. It sounded pretty cool to Ava, who smiled at the thought."Really? That's pretty cool!" she admitted. To her knowledge, Joltiks and Spinaraks didn't really have any weird legends surrounding them. They just kinda existed as far as Ava was aware.
Hana didn't seem to remember her classes, but by the sound of it, she wasn't going to be in any of Ava's classes anytime soon. It was a little disheartening thinking she may not see a potential new friend much after this field trip. But at least the whole class had gym together, right? That was something. "Ah, dang. It's ok!" Hana soon asked about tech class, to which Ava thought a bit. "Tech class? Well..." Ava thought a bit on it. They did some stuff, it was just never as cool as outdoors class. "Well we've talked about pokeballs and the uses of the pokegear and stuff. It's not super interesting to me, honestly." The class came right after lunch, so it was a struggle not to fall into a post-lunch snooze in the back of the classroom sometimes. One assignment in particular stood out to her as being surprisingly cool, however, so Ava piped up to mention it."We took a bunch of photos of pokemon once for an assignment, and that was actually pretty cool." Yeah, the photos didn't all turn out super well, but it was a fun time.
Ava started looking around, seeing that things were going on soon. Looks like it was tournament time! She made her way over towards the stadium to find out her partner!
Tera nodded when Jung-Su informed her on the species of Pokemon. She didn't know that she'd be learning about Pokemon during the festival, not if there wasn't a battle tourney! "Ohhhh! So that's what they're called! Delibird!" She repeated the Pokemon's name one more time outloud to help her remember. But when the taller boy had mentioned what he had wanted, she made the most quizzical face because she didn't know which one it was or even had an inkling as to what it could be. She didn't want to bug him with questions, so she didn't ask any further. Luckily for her the predicament solved itself since he directly pointed what it was right after he had spoken. "Froslass! Gotcha! Well, I hope ya git 'im!" she said with a double thumbs up before grabbing the handle to get things started.
Tera energetically spun the lottery handle in hopes of getting at least one of the prizes she set her sights on. As she was doing so, the girl noticed a few familiar faces coming and going in the booth. It seemed like this place was getting more and more crowded which she didn't mind. A few spins had won her a Beartic and Sneasel Plushies, though she didn't know their names. Time had passed and other than the first few wins, the girl came to a dry spell of bad luck. That was until she won another Plushie and then the top prize! She had no idea what an Articuno was, but it looked awfully pretty! The added bonus of the berries was pretty awesome! Of course she didn't know if the berries had any special properties, so she chose the ones she thought looked cool or pretty. Seeing as Jung seemed just about done with the lottery, the Charizard girl decided to try her luck one last time before hitting the road. Luckily she managed to get the Spheal plushie, but she was a little disappointed that she couldn't get the Delibird. Oh well! At least she got a bunch to bring home for Aya-chi and maybe a few buds here if they wanted some!
As she was approaching Jung, she was happy to see that he too had a bunch of prizes in hand. Observing the difficulty Jung was having to move around with the plushies got her thinking that it would be a good idea to head back first. She didn't want any of their belongings to possibly get damaged when they walked around. "Good idea! Man I didn't realize that my arms were gettin' sore since I was havin' too much fun, haha!" Just as they started heading back, her PokeGear buzzed. The girl gingerly opened the message to find out that there was going to be a tag team tournament going on soon and sign-ups were still open! Tera had a lot of fun and learned just as much from the last tournament, so she totally assumed that this one would be the same! Maybe even double since it's a tag team! "Oh! Oh! Jung! Lookie-!" She stopped herself short. It looked like it was taking Jung's full concentration on not to drop anything, so she thought it best to bring it up once they brought their stuff to the academy house.

Evelyn really did hope that they’d both have some real luck in the lottery game. Chances were pretty slime but that didn’t mean she couldn’t try. With ten tickets plus the fourteen tickets she had from last time she had a fair good number of plays. However, if things didn’t go too smoothly chances were she’d just walk away. Course it was up to Ichiro when he’d stop as well so she would just see how it went and go from there.
With the prospects of the tournament Evelyn thought it might be fun, especially with partners. Ichiro seemed to be about as interested as Eve herself was. The dark haired girl was not much of a battler but that didn’t stop her from suggesting it. When Ichiro asked about the tournament allowing partners, she smiled. “Yeah, apparently it’s tag team style. So that’s two Pokémon on each team.” She told him brightly. She shook her head when he commented on holding her and Yamask back. “We aren’t really all that good at battling. We just got lucky last time.” Evelyn almost laughed at the thought. Them and luck didn’t sound plausible, not even a little. “We’ll just try our best and have some fun.”She added not worrying about how well they did in the tournament. So long as they had fun that was all that really mattered.
Evelyn nodded when Ichiro asked about the new move Yamask had been working on. “Yeah, it’s called night shade. It’s a ghost type move. Probably not the strongest move out there but it’s certainly fun to watch.”She told him. If you were into coordination it would probably be up there she imagined. Course she knew nothing about coordination really.“I bet Tsutarja has a lot of pretty impressive moves.” Evelyn replied.“It’ll be interesting to see how they work together instead of against one another I think.” It would be a new experience that was for sure.
After signing up on her Pokégear, Evelyn looked back to the lotto. She nodded at Ichiro’s words as he hoped they’d do well and suggested seeing what they could win. They were there so they might as well. “Yeah, let’s see what we can win first.”She agreed before taking her tickets and giving it a go. On her first attempt she got herself a Spheal plush. The seal Pokémon was pretty cute. With her first win Evelyn decided to try again, earning her a Beartic plush this time around. ‘So much for bad luck…’She thought deciding to give it a few more tries she came up short four times in a row.
“Well I think my luck just ran out…”She told Ichiro honestly. “How are you doing at this?”Evelyn asked as she looked over to see what he had won.“I don’t know about you but I think I’m going to call it quits. Don’t want to waste all my tickets just yet.” The Kingdra girl admitted before putting the Spheal plush in her bag and carried the Beartic plush for the time being. “What do you say we head over to the stadium? Maybe we’ll run into something else on the way there?” If he wanted to go with that would be great, if not Evelyn could always meet up with him at the stadium later. Besides she thought she might have seen an ice sculpting contest and kind of wanted to see what it was about first before the tournament started. Ichiro wouldn’t mind right?

Marcus listened as Elijah explained about his hometown..both of them. He had never really caught on to the fact that Elijah lived in two places -as opposed to say Tera, or Faye, or Ray. To be fair, Marcus also lived in two places. Both he and his sister lived with their dad for most of the year and then went to spend holidays with their mom. "Yea I bet" he said when Elijah said the towns were opposite. "Eterna and Pewter are kinda like that. Pewter's real small, not to mention it's Kanto so they kinda do the...comercialized? Yea that's what it's called. They do trees and Santa an stuff like that. Eterna does a festival for the legendaries. Y'know cause Palkia and Dialga are from there...but..not a lot of people like it. We're jewish so...you know..we don't..actually do Christmas things." Christmas, of course, wasn't as big a thing for his family-not his mom's side at least, which was with whom Marcus spent the holidays. They did Hannukah. Marcus did take his sister to some of the festivals in Eterna however...the earlier ones that happened before they headed to Kanto. He never realized how complicated his family situation was until he tried to explain it. Marcus found himself suddenly feeling self-conscious, would Elijah understand? Would he be okay with it? "Foretree sounds like a lot of fun. Mauville too...y'know I've never been to a big city?" He was interested in the lesson Elijah said his mom signed him up for. Marcus only really spoke english. He knew a lot of the kids in his class spoke Japanese and there was one kid that spoke Filipino-no wait, Tagalog, that's what it was called- but the school hadn't really offered secondary language lessons. "Woah woah Eli slow it down" he said breaking into a laugh. "I still can't talk that well. You're at a ten, I'm like a solid three" His mind did catch up on the fact that Elijah said he moved....maybe his parents lived separate too? He knew better than to pry however. If Elijah wanted to tell him he would. He perked up at the idea of being taught lessons in french. "Hey yeah y'know what, my...cousin's wife is from Kalos? She's been trying to teach me French for when I see her...maybe if you teach me her two year olds won't talk circles around me" He couldn't help but laugh at the end of that. The fact that toddlers seemed to speak better than him in a different language couldn't fail to make him laugh.
He stared at the raffle as he won one pokeball after another. He had claimed a couple of prizes but not the one he really wanted. "I'm gunning for that Lapras" he said as he put away the last of his prizes. He stopped for a bit, giving his attention to Elijah as he leaned against the machine. "Yeah Eli you can tell me anything," he said and knew he meant it. It seemed to be something Elijah was nervous about and Marcus wanted to let him know he could talk to him as a friend "anything, anytime. What's goin on?"
OutOfChillComments: I'm sorry T-T I got hit with writer's block. To make it up to you, I'll enter Marcus in the tag battle. We can say he felt bad he missed Elija's battle in the last tournament. I'm freer now too so I should be able to roleplay more. Elijah attempted to think of the right way to put Mauville, since that was what he would be coming home to,"Mauville is so...it's basically like living in the world's biggest mall it really stands out in the Hoenn region compared to other cities. I'm totally up for you coming by for a visit! I can show you all the best places. We're even close enough to Slateport Beach to ride a bike there,"He loved the idea of bringing a friend home. He rarely had friends over to his place whereas it was usually the other way around. Eterna City sounded really cool too, like Fortree in a way,"Well I'd gladly show you the big city IF you show me your city?" His way of asking to come visit Marcus.
His little French sample caused Marcus to react in a way that caused Eli to finally laugh,"Ahaha no worries I'm sure I'll have you speaking like a person in no time! Otherwise we could just get you to talk like a Psyduck right?"No one had yet to compliment him on his way of speaking before. His mother's etiquette classes had left their mark on him and he wished he could sound a little more natural rather than a uptight perfect child, but Marcus really lightened that load with his antics. He went on to explain that he had an aunt in Kalos whom was trying to teach him french. He folded his arms and smirked,"Wi I shall; you might even speak it better than they do by the time I'm done with you!"Marcus was a smart kid so it probably wouldn't be as hard to teach him as it was Eli, who took almost 3 years to learn to speak it without referencing his french-english dictionary.
It had seemed in all of their talking Marcus had been winning prize after prize, shocking Eli and comparing his one prize to all of them. Marcus admitted he was gunning for the Lapras, but personally Eli really wasn't aiming for any of them- in fact he may just give anything he gets to someone else- tis the season after all. He tries his luck,"Well don't come crying to me if I grab it first,"he taunted jokingly. If he was to win it then he'd just give it to Marcus anyway. He could count it as one of his Hanukkah gift. While trying for a prize Marcus gave him some comfort knowing that he could tell him anything, but it was just how he was going to react that made Eli worried.
