Brim tapped his nose to her, "We don't call her that anymore. If you must use a title for her, then either Majesty or Queen Cynthia. Lareth did marry her officially after all. But yes, it is that Cynthia," he pointed out to her as he guided her down the hallways again, knowing that she wouldn't mind the correction with the way he'd put it. He knew all too well how some demons felt about the sorceress, so he didn't pay it too much attention.
Thankfully, Lareth was more understanding about it these days too...
At her question about his position, he had to give her a deep chuckle and a very teasing grin, "Oh, don't I wish... I very sincerely wish I was someone's consort, concubine, or even part of someone's harem. Alas, I'm simply a lowly Baronet. Which means that I'm my uncle's assistant here and his representative when he's back home," he explained as he continued to direct her down the halls at a leisurely pace.
"And yes, you will be getting a room to yourself. And no one will violate your privacy. If they do, Lareth would have them strung up, if he doesn't turn them to ash. He takes such things very seriously, I assure you," he promised her, finding that he wanted to build up her confidence a bit more.

══════════════════════════════════════════════════════ “Damn it,” Yona clapped a hand to her forehead. “I’m so sorry. Queen Cynthia. Wow…” Yona trailed off into her thoughts as the dashing Brimstone guided her. Just last week, she was getting into bar fights and blacking out. It was a mere chance she was told of the laws requiring her to get training, otherwise, she would be no better off. Now, she was being led to a room in a damn castle, by the most beautiful creature she had ever seen. Enlisted to receive training from one of the most powerful people in this Realm, nonetheless. Yona was filled with angry butterflies. Thrilled to be given such an opportunity, but absolutely intimidated by Cynthia’s notoriety.
Yona enjoyed listening to Brimstone speak. His voice was smoother than butter. She stopped trying to conceal her giddy grin, feeling more comfortable now. ‘A lowly Baronet,’ she thought. Yona laughed to herself. Such a high status compared to her peasantry, and Brimstone spoke as if it were a side hobby.
She felt comfortable enough, after receiving confirmation of safety, to be a little more open with Brimstone.
“A harem gig would be so luxurious,” Yona thought out loud. “A Baronet, still, is impressive. You just have to wait for someone to die, and you move up, right?” The blunt question was asked with innocent ignorance. “I mean, that’s how that works, right?”
How lucky one must be, thought Yona, to be born into a position of power.
Before Brimstone could give her an answer, she hastily added, “Not to be rude or anything. I just don’t know how any of this works. My father was a Demon, I never knew him. My mother, a human, was… well, she was no good.” Yona gave a long sigh. “Honestly, Brim, she was atrocious. The day she died was the happiest day of my life.”
Casually, Yona cupped her hands behind her head as they continued. “Pardon my curses, but I hate giving that b***h any remorse. She isn’t worth the stained memories. You, however, must have a lot of interesting family members. Maybe… we could discuss them over a pint?”
Yona’s inner monologue was screaming at her for being so brash. She ignored this, looking hopefully to the handsome man before her.

Brim paused at the entrance to the hallway for the rooms he knew she'd be able to choose from and gave a shrug of one shoulder as he tucked his hands negligently into his pockets and leaned back against one wall, "Yes, it's kindof an inherited title. But my clan is different. Or, at least, we used to be. My mother was the last Baroness. We were matriarchal up till then. The Baroness usually conceived during the Beltane celebrations. She usually knew who her partner was, but never said anything. The position passed from mother to daughter. That was the tradition.
"Then my mother passed away and my uncle took over. In truth, he was supposed to hold the position as regent for my sister, but the local laws were changed. It's very complicated and I can't say anything more on it.
"But neither my sister nor I know who our fathers were. However, our mother was a wonderful female: strong, powerful, kind, self-confident, beautiful... I miss her every day... My sister is promising to turn out just like her, just as strong and just as beautiful," he had no problem talking about Tempest.
In all honesty, his sister was one of his favorite subjects. Although, he was having a hard time with making absolutely certain that he didn't discuss anything he wasn't supposed to. He could discuss history, but not current affairs within the Wolven Reapers Clan, and it wasn't easy... Not with what was going on...
But he had to remind himself to patience...
He finally shook his head slightly and gave one of his more charming smiles, "An ale sounds delightful, Yona. Perhaps tomorrow or the evening after that. It'll depend on when the meetings resume. For now..." he gestured to the hallway in front of them, "You get to choose your rooms. Each has a sitting room, a bathroom, and a bedroom. They're all decorated differently, but if you want something changed you only have to say so. You need to have some place comfortable to rest while you're getting lessons, after all," he hoped she'd take the change of subject for the moment and let them move on...

Being Courteous, and patient
Lady Zosne Shunloh
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Zosne walked casually around the castle, having been in the dungeon for so long it was nice to be able to come up for some fresh air every now and then. As she walked, she couldn’t help but hear a voice which wasn’t all that unusual but her senses told her that someone was here that was unfamiliar to her and her pace picked up slightly. Walking through the shadows she moved faster than she did when she walked normally and before long came up by a corner and just peered around to see Brim with someone new, smiling she figured Brim would sense her presence and resigned from hiding in the shadows as she stepped around the corner in the middle of their conversation “talking about me are we, come now I know I’m a wonderful woman but honestly do you have to tell everyone you meet about me” She Laughed jokingly knowing full well who he was talking about, having been told about her once before and stopped close to them. Zosne still in her demon form she bowed slightly at the new face and looked at brim “what’s this a new arrival to the castle, and here I thought no one ever came here because of that man” she didn’t have to say who since he was the reason she was always at the castle, her talents were being wasted sitting at a desk but she didn’t mind it since there were plenty of things to occupy her time when she wasn’t busy. Looking at the new arrival she offered a hand and suddenly realized she was still in demon form “ohh! Apologies, I spend so much time in demon form sometimes I forget to switch when greeting new arrivals” she changed on the spot and shook her hand “I’m Lady Zosne Shunloh, a pleasure to meet you darling, I do hope that he’s been behaving himself“ she chuckled again since she knew he wasn’t like that or for that matter into women. Zosne resting her right hand on the pommel of her Rapier she looked at Brim and spoke to him directly “Brim Dear, just a reminder that we’ve got a sparring match later, I’m a itchin to scratch you up after what you did last time, I won’t let you get away with such a dirty trick this time.” she grinned as she tapped her rapier and looked at the new arrival “do try to be careful around this one, he’s full of tricks when in a fight” she chuckled again knowing that he’d have a thing or two to say about that. Being a bit more serious she looked at Brim again and continued “have you heard, your uncle may be gracing the castle with his presence sometime in the future, I’d be careful with him, I received word he’s prepping an escort to come here, so who knows what he’s up to this time” Zosne always knew the happenings within the nobility to their frustration, being the commanding officer of the SOTRD she was just an over glorified spymaster with a talent for having eyes in places people wouldn’t think to look, though Lord Harrow was but a special request from Brim since he wanted a warning when he was coming and well she was more than happy to oblige for a friend, though admittedly she’d taken an interest in his affairs for a while so what was the human saying, like getting two birds with one stone or something along those lines, it was hard to say since she’d not been to interested in human culture since her duties tend to be monitoring the realm and the borders, and informing the crown if anything unusual occurs on the border.
Looking behind her she noticed a few shadows moving and sighed “alright you two come on out no reason to stay in the shadows, it’s rude you know and Queen Cynthia would be upset for such rudeness” a couple of war demons came out of the shadows and bowed slightly “apologies lady Zosne” waving them off she knew why they were there and spoke “resume your duties I’m well aware of what’s happening” the both bowed and went back to their own patrol duties, Zosne just standing there shaking her head.

Brimstone grinned when he heard that voice and took the female's hand to bow over it, "Lady Zosne... I have no intention of forgetting our sparring session. Spending time with you is always one of the highlights of my day," he told her with very open flattery and a hint of flirting. It was their way. She protected him, he gave her delicious bits of information she couldn't get from anywhere else.
He straightened up and gave Yona a polite nod, "Yona, meet Lady Zosne. She sits on Lareth's council as the representative of the War Demons. Lady Zosne, meet Yona. She's only recently heard of the new law for all females to get training and has come to get it. She had to deal with being isolated until recently, similar to my sister's circumstances," he explained for them both, knowing that Zosne wouldn't show any hostility towards the younger female.
But the news about Harrow was certainly needed for Brim. It let him know that he needed to be extra careful with his actions, and his partners. Luckily, Lady Zosne was more than willing to help him with that whenever she could. She liked Harrow about as much as a rancid boil in an uncomfortable place. But she also knew that he had to protect his sister until she was old enough... Not much longer, but still too far away for him...
He gave another bow over Yona's hand and placed a kiss to her knuckles, "I will have to leave you here, I'm afraid. I have to take care of some paperwork for the king, then I must keep my appointment with Lady Zosne. Just take your room as you please, a servant should be bringing you a plate to snack on before dinner this evening, and the seamstress should be by in the morning to get your measurements for general clothing as well as the training outfits you'll need. After that, you'll just need to remember the times you've been given. If you get lost anywhere, just flag down one of the servants," he told her, trying not to miss anything for her since she was so new to everything.
He gave her a soothing smile, "You really are safe here and you will get the training you need, I promise," he added, hoping that she wouldn't take offense at his needing to leave.
He turned and gave another bow to the other female with a teasing smile, "Lady Zosne... I will see you later. Thank you for the new about Harrow. I will put it to use as needed, as you well know," he told her in a teasing tone.
He acknowledged Zosne's bodyguards with a nod and a teasing bow before he finally walked off down the hallway towards his suite.

Lady Zosne Shunloh

Zosne Chuckled at the flattery and flirting, looking at Yona she nodded her head when Brim explained the situation and smiled “indeed well no better place to be for training, and apologies for such a thing happening, it is such a terrible thing to hear about, but you’re here and this is the safest place to be and that’s all that matters” Zosne looked at Brim as he made his departure and replied “anytime dear, and see you at the arena” their sparring sessions were always as sight to see and a bit competitive at times between good friends, they’d gotten to know each other rather well considering, and knew that the news of Lord harrow coming by would likely leave a sour taste in his mouth, though admittedly she was none to please to hear that that fool was coming here again but she didn’t show it. Looking at Yona she stepped over to her briefly and spoke up “welcome to the castle dear, if you ever need to talk or need company feel free to come see me, I’m almost always around so I tend to be available more than not, if you need to find me one of the servants or the guards can show you the way. For now dear do take care and I shall see you around” Zosne winked at her before she took her leave, the security detail that Lareth insisted she have with her was getting antsy and she was avoiding the work she had stepped away from for long enough, much like Brim she had paperwork that she had to take care of, or rather had been dealing with for three days as it seems being the eyes and ears of the king was a taxing job even if it was what she was good at, and casually waved at Yona before she took off down the hallway to return to her dungeon before she sparred with Brim later.
As time went on her escorts fell in line with her steps, fellow war demons who’d survived the many wars, one carrying a spear and shield, the other a rifle, though both also had spare weapons on their person since they were fully capable of handling multiple weapons at once, though Zosne being a slight exception since she used to carry two revolvers and now she only carried one after she lost an arm in the first war after being spawned. Not to say it was a handicap she adapted to the situation quite well and learned how to use her weapons effectively with the arms she had left, though she did have to wonder how regular demons or other races for that matter could handle only having one pair of hands, there was just too much to do and having extra hands helped in so many ways, for now though she had to prepare for Lord Harrow to arrive since she knew he was coming she'd likely need to tighten security with him here for if nothing else to sway him from trying anything foolish, which thankfully never happened, but one never knew with a man who schemed as much as he did, though if anything it did give the sentries and guards something to do outside of the norm, so there was that.

Being Courteous, and patient
Lady Zosne Shunloh Primus Gul'Sarac
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
After travelling for a while, the Primus with Grinnen and his escorts arrived at the castle, they’d gone inside the legionnaires on their heels. The Primus looked around and could tell not much had changed since the last time he had been there and glanced over to Grinnen and inquired “it’s been a long time since I’ve been here, any idea as to where we might find Brimstone?” the Primus didn’t always go to the castle since he had little reason to do so and usually it was best that he stayed with his cohort where he would be the most useful. They’d caught up with the group that had been coming here with the prisoner and took off down one of the hallways to drop off the prisoner into Zosne’s very capable hands.
Zosne sat her desk working on reports that she needed to get done before her sparring match today, she did so enjoy the time they spent together, after all how often was it that one like herself could simply let lose and have a blast while doing so. Before long a knock at her door came and she sighed “yes, come in!” the officer opened the door and walked through, recognizing the uniform she grinned and spoke up “ah an officer from the 2nd legion, what do you have for me” the officer approached her desk and handed her a report “ma’am, prisoner transfer from the training fort” she looked at the documents within the report and glanced up at him “indeed, well good for Galen for sending her my way, very well I’ll accept the child into my custody, have your men move her to interrogation room one, also…” she grabbed a pen and paper and wrote her thanks and assurances on it, and would keep him informed if anything came up before handing it to the officer “do give this to Galen” the officer took the note and nodded before leaving and ushering his men through the corridors to the interrogation rooms. Sighing she stood up and decided to leave the paperwork for later, after all she had a sparring match to worry about and a noble child who’d plotted to have a member of the royal family killed, that wasn’t going to look very good for the noble whose child is going to be squeezed for every ounce of information she had, something like that wasn’t something she simply tolerated and would enjoy this that much more. Before she left her office she stepped back over to her desk and grabbed the report and decided she’d read it on the way so that she’d at least have an idea as to what she was looking at in the grand scheme of things and simply left with the report in her arm and made her way upstairs to the main floor where she’d go to the arena Brim and herself used, which was typically for training but when there wasn’t anyone to train well they enjoyed a time of sparring.
Along the way she saw one of her men and caught his attention “allocate a two man security detail to interrogation room one, have a priority subject there and don’t want her to disappear suddenly” the soldier replied “at once Ma’am I know the two who will be perfect for the job” grinning she nodded and continued to the stairs and left her dungeon without any delay.

Brim had finally gotten the last of the paperwork taken care of and left his small office attached to his suite and headed out to do something purely physical. Thankfully, he had a standing appointment with Zosne.
He went for her office first and dropped off the paperwork he needed hidden from Harrow, something she did for him to help him and to screw over his uncle. Later on, he'd need that paperwork to take his uncle down. But right now, he and his sister were held over a barrel that they couldn't escape yet. Tempest wasn't old enough yet...
He shook his head as he left her office and headed down the hallway and came to a frowning stop when he spotted Grinnen. The assistant to Galen gave Brimstone a respectful bow before standing again, "Sir, Galen sent us. We're supposed to help protect the Butterfly," he told him very softly, making Brim swear under his breath briefly.
He looked around and caught one of Zosne's men and waved him over, "Go tell Lady Zosne that I'm needed with the queen briefly. She can join me there or she can wait for me," he told the male, gaining a nod before he left to deliver the message.
Then he looked at Grinnen and Primus and gave a heavy sigh, "Come on. Be glad that security is light right now. You brought about six soldiers too many to be quiet about this..." he said, a sense of seriousness about him that Grinnen had never seen in him before. But he turned on his heel and started walking down the hall with the others following closely behind him, "Be glad that Harrow isn't here yet and pray that he comes in late or you'll have my throat on the chopping block," he added, making no effort to keep their pace slow.

Being Courteous, and patient
Lady Zosne Shunloh
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Once down in the dungeon she motioned for a legionnaire forward and spoke up “retrieve the legionnaires in the barracks that are with the second legion have them meet us at interrogations” he nodded and took off down the hallway towards the legion barracks, sighing she continued down the hallway and eventually stopped by her office a moment and looked at the Primus and Grinnen, down that hallway is interrogations I’ve got two guards watching over the prisoner just wait there a moment while I take care of a few things here” the Primus nodded and took off down the hallway towards interrogations with the rest leaving Zosne alone and going into her office. Stepping over to the desk she noted the paperwork that was from Brim and grabbed it and walked over to the furthest wall and just motioned with her hand which caused a noise to occur which was the locking mechanism that was magically sealed and opened a hidden door in the wall and walked through. Inside the room was many shelves and cabinets which were used for storing reports, and walked over to a specific shelf and put the paperwork on top of a stack of papers already there which were essential for taking Harrow down and sighed again as she left the room sealing it behind her and magically locking it once again before she left her office and made her way to interrogations. Once there she noted that the rest of Gul’Sarrac’s squad was there, the guards were nervous until they saw her and spoke up “Ma’am prisoner is secured” Zosne nodded and replied “very good, rejoin the others there’s a search ongoing” they nodded and took off without hesitation leaving them alone in the hallway. Looking at the Primus and Grinnen she motioned for them over to the door and stepped through without delay and just noted the condition of the prisoner who instantly understood where she was when she saw Zosne standing there and just grinned “alright collect the prisoner we’re moving her” the Legionnaires walked through the door and forcibly collected the resistant prisoner and stood by. Still grinning Zosne led the way through the dungeon and stopped at what appeared to be a dead end. looking over her shoulder Zosne noted their confusion and spoke up “gentlemen you are sworn to secrecy, and you’ll have me to deal with If I hear anyone spoke of this” the legionnaires nodded as did Grinnen and the Primus who spoke up “what is this?” she grinned and looked at the wall in front of her and simply motioned with her hand which once again a sound of a lock releasing could be heard after which she pushed on a specific spot and pushed a door open “this darling is a secret route that few are even aware of, consider yourselves fortunate, as apart from myself and select individuals within the castle, only the royal family is aware of their existence, these tunnels run along every part of the castle and is a shortcut to the pit” Lady Zosne’s dungeon wasn’t anything like Lareth’s dungeon and the pit, but having a route that would allow them to go unnoticed was critical at this point. The way the prisoner reacted told Zosne that the prisoner knew her fate and relished in the fact that she’d be able to squeeze the prisoner of every ounce of information before she died, and that was something she enjoyed greatly.
Motioning them through the door Zosne was the last one through after which she sealed the door and then led the way through the labyrinth of tunnels and after walling a while she stopped by a door and unsealed it, then opened it which surprisingly led to a hallway on the main floor, and they went through without hesitation. Once again Zosne sealed it and paused when a legionnaire approached “ma’am” Zosne nodded and looked at the others “Primus head through that door over there and follow it all the way down, you can’t get lost the path eventually leads to a door wait for me there, you’ll need me in order to get through it” the Primus nodded and replied “understood Ma’am see you there” she nodded and watched as the Primus led the others through the door. Looking back at the legionnaire she continued “alright what’s wrong?” the legionnaire shook his head and replied “we’ve only been at it for a while now and we’ve identified multiple persons within the staff, and…” Zosne’s eyes narrowed and spoke up “out with it” the legionnaire nodded “we also identified at least four guards that were wearing these” the legionnaire opened his hand revealing rings, Zosne shook her head as she swore and replied “very well at this point in time expand the search parameters to include guards and sentries, and bring all suspicious to the pit” the legionnaire nodded and saluted before he took off to relay the new orders leaving Zosne to brood over this new information and swore again as she shook her head and spoke up not really expecting anyone to answer “this is becoming a greater problem than anticipated, looks like I may have rouse my entire legion to arms, and post them on security detail” Zosne understood the implications for having her legion take over the security of the castle, it meant that she may have to also call upon one other legion to assist since the castle was too big for her legion to handle alone, before this was an issue her legion would have been sufficient with the regular forces on point but with suspicion of treachery within the guards and sentries she was going to have to deal with this problem, though one thing she needed to do was finalize the security detail for the children, since Cynthia had her hopes on her and Al’gaan being there for the children Zosne would make sure that they were apart of the detail as primary caretakers, and would have a sufficient bodyguard detail assigned for when they couldn’t be with them, she’d pull members from her legion and likely Al’gaans for convenience sake, which would make things easier on them.

Brim finally left the tailor in the company of one of Zosne's legion. He and Kazha were also lovers, but so discreet that even Zosne had no idea. But it allowed Zosne to get to him when no one else could. Sending one of her men to pull him in for questions was a common occurance and easily covered anything else that was happening behind the scenes.
But Kazha had collected him for his appointment to spar with Zosne, trying to keep the illusion going. It was starting to wear on him, though. He was a fantastic actor but the entire thing was wearing him down and he wondered how much strength he had left to continue it all. Still, he had to keep everyone from knowing, he had to keep them all believing that none of it was affecting him.
So he kept up the act, "Honestly, Kazha, I had no intention of missing my appointment with Lady Zosne. You didn't have to come collect me for it. I did have to get that final fitting with Hallen. You know he's the absolute best tailor in the entire realm. Getting any time with him is nearly impossible," he complained, sounding like the fop he was supposed to be.
Kazha just grinned at him, one of his hands moving to give Brim a slight push at the small of his back, "Just get moving. Lady Zosne doesn't like to be kept waiting. And she has some questions for you before you spar with her," was all he said, keeping the illusion that he was just a guard doing his job.
Brim threw him a glare over his shoulder, "There's no need to push me, Kazha. I'll get there without you getting so damned rough and rude," he threw back at him then increased his pace towards Zosne's office.
Once inside, he moved to throw himself into a chair while Kazha checked the hallway then moved in behind him and closed the door, "She's sweeping everyone," he told him simply, pulling a string of swearing from Brim.
"Damnit... She has to leave some of them in place... He can't lose all of his eyes here. He'll get suspicious and change his plans... We all talked about this... She's going to get my sister killed if she keeps this up," he growled out as he got up and started to pace, ignoring the other male for the moment, grateful that this office was soundproofed.
Meanwhile, a note appeared in front of Zosne, sent by flames carrying a hint of brimstone to them. Only one person could find her that easily: Ash. The note was simple: "My assassins are ready. Don't sweep them up in your haste. Just activate them. If you need more guards, trust Galen. If I'm needed, just call me in," He said nothing else. He didn't need to. He was Lareth's best assassin, after all.
