Cute-thulhu sounds like a great nickname rofl although I hadn't pictured her as a dragonoid, more amphibious humanoid with the scales/fins/tentacles and some sort of grayish/bluish/greenish skin (like the great-granddaughter of Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean or something like that. Maybe he was actually an alien from a galaxy far, far away.) But that adorable creature would certainly make a perfect pet (not sure where this t-shirt design comes from but it's amazing.)

Billy takes his 29 tons of loneliness and takes off. At some point he discovers a stowaway tree-looking alien forest creature on his ship, not because I just wanted to add this adorable friend to the avatar because it matches, but because it just wanted to be friends with him. And he does need at least one friend.

Naturally, Billy continues to do what he does best, albeit slightly hindered by the bounty hunters chasing him. After running (or rather flying) off with another ton of stolen goods, he finds refuge on that planet from earlier, where the foreign prince(ss) who gave him the jewelry is incredibly flattered that he's still wearing some of it and never forgot them. They explain that they didn't contact him because they were trying to keep him safe, and give him another ton of gifts, this time in the form of extremely high quality textiles (expensive hand-tailored fashion from only the highest quality fabrics.) They ask him where he would like to go for his ideal date, and he suggests a slightly higher-end bar with drinks he could barely afford himself as a male model, but now as a wealthy smuggler he offers to pay (they refuse to let him, especially after he downs a couple high-quality cocktails.) They also give him a second ton of pure currency as another parting gift.

Maybe he has found love after all? Maybe this prince(ss) was just uncertain about him before, or maybe they'll just send him off with no word again...
(now do I have to make them an official alien OC? maybe not, but I will anyway)

That's awesome. I wouldn't buy it, but it's the type of art that if I saw prints of it in a store and wanted something for my wall I might buy (but I don't buy stuff online, I pay for everything with cash still, don't have a paypal yet. someday though.) and yeah, the style does look familiar, similar to the one of my other OC Raekenna, sith lord style (then I never ended up using it in my signature yet but I still have the saved outfit it's based on, and the saved pictures.)

Billy has 32 tons of fun, a new pet (maybe not quite as adorable as Cute-thulhu, but close) and possibly a Valentine's date.

Of course, his silly new friend just had to mess with the hyperdrive, just like all pets and babies universally. "No Woody, those light-up buttons are not toys! Here, you can play with some of these pretty jewels instead, I've got plenty to spare." The young tree creature gleefully arranges them in artistic patterns.

He then stumbles upon another ship with 2 tons of expensive trash, and scores another stunningly successful spice run (he makes sure to keep this locked up so his new friend doesn't get their hands? branches? on it.) Billy has practically life, the universe and everything on his ship razz
