With their movesets figured out, Ajicka sent Eelektross out against the first pokemon they could find, a Natu. She shifted her gaze to Edge, who was now just.... ridiculously larger, and perched on a small rock nearby. It was really weird seeing him so large now. She could literally ride him, if she needed a lift somewhere. For so long, he'd been this annoying little voice on her shoulder... Now he was enormous. "Y'know, I never really noticed... what's with the heart?" she asked, walking over and jabbing a finger at the marking. She hadn't seen it before, or maybe she just hadn't really noticed since he'd been so small. 'Pff... It's a beauty mark,' Edge snapped, swiping her hand away with a wing, squinting at her. She pursed her lips together, to the side, and withdrew her arms to cross them over her chest. So touchy...

Still.... Ajicka was in a pretty good mood. Her pokemon had evolved, Edge could use his megastone, and training should go substantially faster. It was really too bad that Eelektross couldn't learn Focus Blast, though.... and she was pretty sure using a balm mushroom wasn't worth trying to get just that. Shifting, she moved back to her spot to take a seat, crossing one leg over the other, and leaning back on her hands a bit. Now that she had them all sorted out, though.... she wasn't really sure what else to do.

These were the very few times when Ajicka felt.... something akin to loneliness. When she didn't have something to plan, something to strategize, or a battle to focus on. It was just numb battling, and it was easy enough for her pokemon to take care of on their own. She turned her head, staring off into space. She wondered what Rose was doing.... what Jimmy was up to. She looked down at Metagross' and Bayron's pokeballs, then sighed and looked the other way. Maybe she should try messaging some of them or something.... or maybe she should just try and be more freaking social.
Or.... not.

Running a hand back through her hair, Ajicka decided to send a simple text to ZK. 'You're fine, right?' and that was it. She didn't feel like talking to him, really, but she needed something to do. She could try and catch cup on sleep, but she wasn't really that tired, and this wasn't the most comfortable terrain. Maybe she should just plan to head to the gym soon, if only to avoid getting bored.... Or she could dig through her contacts. She supposed she could check in with her Aunt and Uncle, too....

Beh. Whatever. She didn't need to be social and she didn't really need people. If she really had to, she would freaking sleep. She checked her messages, frowning when she saw a rather blunt, rude response from ZK, and instead switched over to a different chat. To Rose. Come to think of it... her friend hadn't replied to her last message, had she? That didn't mean she was in trouble, right? She'd message her if hse was.... At least, she better. If anyone could get her out of trouble, Ajicka could. At least... that was what Ajicka believed. She had the pokemon to back her, but... even though she wasn't thinking that way, battles weren't the solution to every issue.

All the same, it was best she checked in on Rose. Well... 'best'. A good idea, perhaps. She pulled out her messenger, glancing up briefly to make sure her pokemon were doing fine-- and they were. The strength and move boosts they each had seemed more than enough to set them up, and with a slight smirk, she lowered her attention back to the device. She was never good at this sort of thing... at least with Sebastian, she was basically just answering his questions. Putting her knowledge to good use. Starting a conversation? Showing concern? Not her forte.
Text to Rose: Hey, did you get my last message?

Ruffling up her hair a bit, Ajicka sighed and closed her eyes. It was possible there were better training grounds somewhere else, even if it wasn't this region, per say... Maybe she should try looking into that? By the time she found anything, they would probably be ready to challenge the gym, and, hell, maybe even the next gym. This one wasn't one she needed the two she was training, anyway. Actually.... neither was the next one, come to think of it. They could each probably help to some degree, but it wasn't until the sixth gym that Eelektross would really be useful.... All the more reason to train him while she could, though.

Okay well dammit that.... didn't really help. She pretty much immediately found that Mistralton was actually a fair place to train. Her pokemon could probably defeat all of them, all with relative ease, and they'd at least be a bit more of a challenge here without dragging things out more. Running a hand through her hair, she sighed, but pushed herself up and started putting her things away. 'Giving up?' Edge chimed, looking at her out of the corner of his eye as he landed from his last battle, against a solosis. Ajicka didn't even glance at him, though she did take note that he was speaking through pure telepathy. "No. a*****e. I'm going to challenge the gym. Then we're flying somewhere better for you to train," she replied shortly, hoisting her bag over her shoulder. The gym shouldn't be too hard, even with her pokemon's levels being restricted.

Ajicka returned both pokemon, partially just to shut Edge up. She made her way to the pokecenter to heal them both up, then started to assess her party, confirm her intel on the gym, and head out. She was probably going to just barrel through this with Swampert and Metagross, but, given the gym leader's pokemon... she could probably use Eelektross, too. She would try and get him in, help with the training, especially since he was going to be part of her final team, but she would try not to depend on him too much. He still had ample training, after all.
With that decided, she made her way into the gym and through to challenge the gym leader. Hopefully this wouldn't take too long.

Leader Elesa
Elesa felt the left corner of her mouth twitch up into a smirk, even as she recalled her defeated Emolga, "Congratulations, you show a great understanding in type match-up." Instantly moving into the usual 'humble gym leader spiel' the model sashayed her way over to Ajicka, though rather than hold out her badge she slipped both it and his TM into her hands. "The Bolt badge and TM Volt Switch," she explained afterwards, stepping back to return some space between them. "You've certainly earned both."
Ajicka Received: - Bolt Badge - TM #72 Volt Switch +90 exp split between Swampert and Elektross!

Ajicka wondered, somewhat, if gym leaders had to go to school to hold their position. If there was a certain 'concession' speech they were taught. They often said similar things. It wasn't... untrue or anything, it was just frequently similar. It made her wonder. And made her sort of tune out a bit, but... that was her problem. She wasn't the best on manners. She nodded numbly, taking her winnings and looking down as she tucked her pokeball away. She may have... forgotten to say much, but remembered just barely to give a, "Thanks," over her shoulder as she headed out. At least she said... something.

Heading back to the pokecenter, Ajicka decided on skipping ahead. So to speak. She would go to Mistralton, train until Edge and Eelektross were stronger, then she would double back to Driftveil. At that point, once she'd defeated the gym there.... well, she'd see. It might be time to change up her party again, go get that pokemon she'd been considering, or she might do that after the next gym. Skyla seemed like a good opportunity to potentially train and test it, though....
Shaking off the thoughts -- or rather, postponing them -- she checked if Deoxys was nearby, and when she confirmed he was, had him teleport her to the nearby city.

[Egg Hunt Post: 0/5]
Noel bee lined it for the pokemon center the moment they were free of the desert storms. He did take a moment to shake himself and Algernon free of the sands they’d collected, retrieving the egg from his bag once that was done. Soon he was through the doors and right up to the counter.
"Excuse me, ma’am?" He chimed up, catching the pink-haired woman’s attention just as she was turning away from the counter. Nurse Joy blinked and smiled at him curiously. ”Yes? How can I help you today young man?” Noel set the egg on the counter for her to see, looking at her expectantly.
"I found this egg out in the desert! Did anyone lose it?" He inquired. The nurse looked surprised a moment, stepping forward and looking the egg over a moment. Soon though a smile spread across her face and she straightened up shaking her head. ”Oh dear no! I’m sorry if there’s been any confusion, but that egg is for the event running right now.” Noel blinked, looking semi-confused.
"Oh… part of an… event?" The nurse clasped her hands together, giving a nod. ”Oh yes, it’s the local Easter event! They say the easter Buneary hides eggs all over for trainers to collect. I hear there are prizes even for collecting the most!” The white-haired lad perked up a bit at that. Oh, prizes? This … might be a worthwhile detour for him; it didn’t involve any strange caves (hopefully) and he could do some more exploring!
"Oh… well, alright! How do I participate?" He inquired, enthusiasm in his voice. Nurse Joy chuckled, covering her mouth. ”Oh my, I can tell you’re excited. It’s very easy; in fact you’ve already started. Here, allow me,” she remarked, taking the egg from Noel. She turned to the computer and set it on a special display, tapping in a few things before glancing back at Noel again, ”and if I could get your Pokedex please.” The young man nodded, fishing out the requested device and handing it over. He grinned, glancing at Algernon who seemed equally curious. Quickly the Nurse finished, the egg disappearing leaving behind some shells fragments which she collected into a bag for him, handing back both his pokedex and the bag. ”There you are! You’re all set. Any time you find an egg, you can simply use you’re your pokedex to submit it in for count! You’ll want to keep those shell fragments, I hear they can be traded in for goods as well.”
"Really? Thank you so much!" Noel chimed, tucking everything away in his bag. He was really excited about this and was ready to bolt when the nurse suddenly gave a gasp as though remembering something. ”Oh! Do you happen to have your badges with you? I’d like to see them as well.”
"Oh? Ah… sure!" Noel remarked, curious as he fished out his badge case to show her. The nurse smiled and nodded. ”Thank you!” She turned to the computer again, seeming to register this information before handing Noel a small device that looked like a pager. He took it, looking a bit confused. ”That’s a flight pager. Since you have three badges, you can use it for the duration of this event to help you fly from the different regions to collect the eggs!” Noel beamed at this information. "Ah! Awesome! Thank you so much Nurse Joy! I appreciate all the help!" He clutched the device tightly, waving with his free hand as he turned and started for the door. "Bye! Thanks again!" He called, Algernon chirping and quickly toddling after his fleeing trainer. Soon they were through the doors and outside in the city, Noel eyeing the pager curiously. So… this little thing would let him fly anywhere to do the egg hunt? He wondered how it worked. There was button and so he pressed it, waiting a moment as it flashed before shielding his eyes as a gust of wind appeared minutes later. Soon, a large saddled Pidgeot appeared. There was a tarp decorated with colorful eggs on the side of it, pretty much all but indicating that this was the ride available to him for the event.
"Awesome! Algy come on, let’s get going!" Noel was practically jumping for joy, scooping up the Espurr and climbing onto the loaner pokemon’s back. Once the pair were settled in the Pidgeot spread its wings and started up into the air. Clearly, it knew what destinations needed to be headed to and was off in a heartbeat for the first one.

The Pidgeot touched down in Nimbasa and Noel slipped off of it's back without any hesitation, a grin still plastered on his face from the joys of the festival. He spun on his heels and grinned at the bird, extending a free hand to gently pat the side of its neck. "Thank you for the rides! I really appreciate it." The pokemon dipped its head in the form of a nod, eyeing Noel a moment before taking off into the skies and heading back on with its duties. The young lad stood in place a moment, adjusting Algernon in his arms a bit as the Espurr watched the fleeting for as well. Now that they were back in Nimbasa, it was about time to resume their training and gym battling. Noel headed for the pokemon center first to plan his strategy; his pokemon were already rested up and everything so it was just a matter of determining if they were ready to take on the gym leader or not. He'd have to do a bit of reviewing but he was feeling confident that they could probably do it.

Noel took a seat at one of the open booths, setting Algernon in the space next to him before pulling out his communicator to start researching. The next gym leader, Elesa, was a user of Electric types which was a bit concerning. His team wasn’t quite equipped to take down electric types and a little further research showed that her Emolga’s often gave people trouble. They made using Ground type moves impossible which meant he would have to rely on other skill sets if he wanted to get through them. Noel frowned and thought a moment. He had gotten quite a bit of stuff from the festival though he could pay a visit to the PokeMart to check for anything else. The most he could do was boost his team as was, train some and then take Elesa on once he felt prepared. That was probably the best option to take; he needed to make sure everyone was still in practice after all too. With that settled, he tucked his things away again and got up, heading for the doorway with Algernon toddling right on his heels. The PokeMart wasn’t too far off and he had some spare funds for shopping. This would work fine!
The PokeMart in Nimbasa was packed with items in fact; it seemed they’d recently got shipment in and Noel was lucky to be one of the first few customers to witness it. That was awesome for him and without hesitation, he collected as many worthwhile TMs as he could, along with a few other extra items to try and boost the power of his team. He got a pretty good deal for a vast majority of it too and he was feeling even more confident about his future endeavors.
