After finishing with her detour to the pokecenter Alexandra was, finally, on her way back to the train station when a store caught her attention, a sign informing all customers that they were having an 'out-of-business' final sale; items were more than half off and 'uncommon' items were for sale. She considered entering and, at least, just browsing but it was only after she'd glanced at her watch to check to see if she had time did she step inside. "Please make sure you're careful," she warned her two pokemon as they began to traverse through the aisles, her eyes already scanning the shelves for items of interest.
It didn't take long before Alexandra had a few items in a basket and was waiting in line to pay. It'd been a good idea to visit, she realized, as she peered down at her selected items. A Gengarite, a mega stone for Slade; a few fresh berries; an item called an 'Exp. Share', apparently it helped trained low-leveled pokemon without putting them into battle; a Muscle Band; a Balm Mushroom, yet another new item that would incidentally prove useful for her battle against Maylene; and, finally, the TM Psychic, something she could use for Amethyst. Despite the long line she was in the cashier was efficient and soon Alexandra found herself at the counter, with the employee scanning her items. She dug her wallet out of her bag, frowning gently when she noticed how... low on cash she was. She had enough to pay for her items, but soon she'd have to think of a way to earn a few more dollars to her name.

Alexandra stepped back out of the store with the interesting contrast of having her wallet lighter and bag heavier. She stepped off to the side, eager to use a few of her items now and jot down how their effects. First, the easiest, was teaching Amethyst Psychic, she'd taught her other pokemon moves before, through various means, and it was as easy as releasing the Espeon and taking out the disc to teach her the new move. Afterwards Alexandra sent out Slade to give him one of the items she had just laying around in her bag, but before that she made sure to thank him for his contribution in the battle against the Furfrou from earlier. Next up was the 'Balm Mushroom' she had bought, and after observing it in the light she finally decided to allow Comet to consume it. The Staravia gave a cheerful cry as he was given the chance to stretch his wings once more, taking to the air and doing a lazy circle before he landed gently onto his trainer's shoulders, head angling to the side curiously when the mushroom was presented to him.
It took a moment but finally he took the fungi with a grateful chirp, eating it with five neat pecks. Alexandra looked at Comet expectantly, waiting for him to unveil his newest move. Instead she received a curious look back and another chirp from her pokemon, perhaps it took a little longer than usual for the item to activate? With a soft huff Alexandra turned her attention to her final item, Exp. Share in hand. She didn't necessarily have any pokemon on her that she was willing to give it to, even her lower-leveled pokemon she was going to have them all experience battle. There was, however, two pokemon in the Daycare that could benefit from the item, not to mention it'd be interesting to see if an item like this would work even from long-distance. With a note added for the caretakers to keep an eye out for Hinata and her growth, Alexandra sent the item off to her Ralts.

There were quite a few wild pokemon to be found, surprising considering how far off from a 'natural habitat' North Lumoise was, but nevertheless. Alexandra had only just recalled Comet and Slade when another Gulpin came into sight, and although Amethyst was more than ready to redeem herself and show off her new move Alexandra made sure that there wasn't a Furfrou hiding in the out before she allowed the Sun Pokémon to take on her opponent.

Amethyst rejoined Alexandra with her head held high, a bit of pride in her stride. She'd fully redeemed herself! Not only had she not been poisoned, but she'd managed to get through the entire battle without receiving a scratch on her! Sitting herself down, the psychic fox brought her tail to rest neatly atop her front paws, the picture of elegance. Alexandra laughed, though her soft merriment quickly died away when she found herself in the presence of yet another pokemon, familiar as well. She watched as the pink kitten before her shook its tail jeeringly, obviously looking for a fight. Caldo, having recovered in both spirit and body, eagerly took up the mantle, battering the Skitty with fists until it was forced to retreat.

Zero couldn't help but chuckle a bit at how carefree Raja was being, fearlessly jumping up beside the tall brunette and marveling at what was around them. She gave the Wispard a nice scratch behind the ear, and occasionally bet her over the course of their meal, seemingly without issue of the cold. Spirit simply sat quietly at the foot of the table, meditating while the trainers sat down to eat. He didn't give Atona one word when he asked a question, instead simply motioning his hand to the ground beside him. The night went on rather smoothly, and the two trainers ate a nice dinner as friends. Once their food was all gone though, the conversations resumed, and when Andreas answered with a question the silver-haired trainer couldn't help but wonder. He opened his mouth to speak, but when Atona gave effectively the same response he would've, he simply nodded and waited for her response. "Hm... Yeah, that's a good way of putting it," she replied, once again petting the snow leopard. "There was just... nothing to gain from being the strongest."
Zero's eyes widened a bit, not exactly shocked to hear it from Andreas of all people, but... He wasn't exactly comfortable with the statement either. "...What do you mean by that?"
"I mean there's no fulfillment in it," she clarified. "Z, you and I both no that I could go out, right now, and beat every last Elite Four in the two regions I've got the badges for the challenge before the end of the night. Give me two days after that, and I'll have all the badges of those other regions and their Elite Four challenges defeated as well. But where's the point in that?" After spreading her folded labcoat over her lab, Andreas started to guide Raja towards her, bringing the larger snow leopard into her lap as she continued to stroke her fur. "Once you reach the peak, the summit of that mountain, what do you do? Stay there? Hoping that eventually someone will come on your level and beat you? Or do you wait and kick down all the poor souls who worked so much harder than you did for a fraction of your power? A place like that is lonely and with few, if any peers. And I simply chose that that wasn't the kind of place I wanted to be, so I went no further." Despite how weary and almost sad the explanation might've sound, Andreas almost seemed to remember events that made her come to that conclusion fondly. Zero could barely remember how she was back when the brunette started her journey, but the image of that younger, inexperienced Andreas did linger in his head for a bit, forcing him to withhold his laughter. "Getting strong for your own sake is fine, but don't try striving to the top unless that's exactly the path you want to tread. Otherwise, someone'll come along who's worked much harder and beat you. Or..." Her expression turned sour, as her memories seemed to come to a less than pleasant point. "Well, you get the idea."
"Right, right," Zero nodded, not wanting to pry into that. Instead he did his best to quickly redirect the focus of the conversation, switching to the more familiar form of Andreas in front of him. "So then why the sciences? I know you're still a professor and all, but I never really pictured you as the scientist or teacher type when we were younger. Especially not the teacher type... You haven't-"
"Zero, stop," Andreas raised a finger at Zero, and her sour expression faded away to something that was more annoyed than anything else. "I know what you're going to say and don't you dare ask me that." As she put that hand back to work petting Raja, her scowl quickly went away in favor of the more friendly expression she had when this conversation started. "Anyway, to be quite honest, I didn't really think of it until after I beat all the gym leaders in Sinnoh and Hoenn. After I realized I didn't want to tackle the Elite Four or continue collecting badges, I took stock of everything I knew, everything I learned along the way. Unfortunately none of it really turned into anything fruitful that I thought I could follow, so I ultimately decided to go to the man who marked the start of my adventures; Professor Rowan. Nice guy, I managed to have a long talk with him on a day when a lot of new trainers weren't coming in, and I took a lot of what he said to heart. Started out as me taking a couple of classes under him when he taught, then I got to work as his lab assistant for a while. A couple expeditions, research papers, and a fair number of years of my life, I got myself a PhD in the same field as Rowan. Went off on my own after that, didn't take long before I got hired as a teacher, mostly the one university Machina went to for a bit. It's kinda weird, but... Just knowing there's still so many things to experience, learn, and knowing that there are others who are in the same boat in the sciences... Makes it a bit more fun, you know? The woman let Zero ponder her words for a few minutes, while she finally got around to answering Raja's question. "As for you; they have people in the kitchen cook and prepare the food, before they bring it out to diners like us. Can't go in there though, they don't want to be disturbed and it'd be bad if there was just a stranger standing or walking around in there while they tried to work. We'll ask the waiter though, if he comes back, ask him if they happen to have any of those."
Nova it seemed had to continue to play peacekeeper with the two girls, placing herself in between the two of them while raising a hand to each of them. "Alright girls, that's enough. We came out here to shop not to tease and anger each other." Fortunately, it wasn't long before they were finally able to make it to their next shop where the trio began looking around. Despite how small the store was, it had quite the selection, densely packed with various forms of clothing. To the Gardevoir's surprise, they actually had a segment of the store dedicated to things for pokemon to wear, so while the two trainers looked for things for Du, she decided to take a look at what they had in stock. Much to her surprise, there was quite a selection to go through; displays for jewelry you'd have to ask for at the counter where Isis and Du were; accessories like hats, chokers, and rings with various designs on them; and even a number of clothing items that were clearly made and fit to the proportions of a pokemon, organized by the body types they had avaliable. Most of them even had a tag on them that specified free adjustments if it wasn't quire right, for a specific set of pokemon that were listed in silhouettes above the clothing racks. A bit daunted by the selection around her and unsure if she should really get anything, she peaked over the rows and rows of clothing over to her two companions. "Um, Isis, could you help me pick something out? I'm... not really sure about any of these."

Du tilted her head to the side with a bit of a smile. ”You have a Zorua? I didn’t know that, are they every bit as mischievous as they say they are?” Du was curious, she never really met anyone with a Zorua as far as she knew, then again they were shapeshifters so who knew if she actually met one or not. ”Then again, I really don’t know what pokemon you do have on your team other than Hinata, how is she by the way?” Du was promised more snuggle time with the little time traveling pokemon and hopefully when they got settled into their room tonight she could oblige. It was about then that Nova swooped in and stopped the squabbling before it began again, the action causing Du to giggle. ”Oh okay, but this is how sisters bond with each other, it’s a complicated social structure that human families and people who are really close to each other partake in.” Du paused for a moment and then pondered with a tilt of her head and a puzzled expression. ”At least, that’s how my older brother and I interact with each other most of the time… I can’t say I’ve had an older sister before so maybe the teasing would be different?” Hmm… this was a bit of a head scratcher for Du, she really didn’t know if sister siblings acted different than brother siblings or it was something else entirely different. With Isis being the closest thing that she ever had to an older sister, this was all pretty new to Du.
Going inside the Boutique and starting to look around, Isis brought up that she wanted to have Du’s blessings for the submittal of her pictures to a modeling company and didn’t want to do so if Du wasn’t fully onboard with it. Du looked over with a gentle smile. ”Oh, don’t get me wrong, I think it would be very interesting to see what they do for modeling and who knows? It might be something that I actually like to do. I just don’t think that I have much of a chance to get in is all. Especially considering my… um… difference… that sets me apart from the other girls. You certainly have my full blessings when it comes to submitting something to someone and if they scout me I might have some fun with the day of it and meet some new people and friends. That would make it worth it if I got that far so… go ahead.” Du honestly doubted that she would get very far with any sort of modeling career, especially considering that she was transgender and that would probably frighten off more than a few companies that may have had any interest in her. There was still a slight stigma around people like her in a few places so it was something that she was still leery about people knowing. That, and she wasn’t sure how her mom would react if she say her son modeling as a girl while she was trying to hide until she made something of herself.
She doubted that would go over very well.
As idle chatter filled the group and Du looked over at some accessories, she found a choker that seemed to possess something that was rather special to the pokemon world. Du didn’t notice her megastones glowing in her backpack, but Isis sure did and she was quick to spin Du around so that she could have a look. Du gave a wide eyed blink at the excited blonde girl, clearly she didn’t have any idea what she was talking about. ”Um… Keystone? Megastones?” Du may have heard about them in passing, but she really didn’t know much about them personally and had no idea what she had stumbled across previously and at present. Isis was going to explain a few things to Du in order for this to all make sense to her. She was seemingly saved from a load of information when Nova called to Isis and asked for some help in picking some things out for her. Du chuckled. ”Go ahead, I’ll continue with the jewelry for a few more minutes and then I’ll come and give you girls a hand and an opinion, ‘kay?” She was definitely getting this choker, not just because it was cute but apparently it made Isis really happy to see it.

✿ ❀Isis groaned as Du asked about her zorua. "Yes, I have a zorua, and yes, they absolutely are, or at least mine is." Isis bemoaned. "He has an annoying habit of creating illusions of guys I like and flirting with me. Thankfully it's become easy to tell when it's him. Particularly when he does things like prance around as a topless Leon and dropping pickup lines." Isis pinched her nose and squeezed her eyes shut. Du made a fair point that she hadn't really met many of her other pokemon. "Mm well you also met Atona and Raja, but yeah, I've got a lot of pokemon on my team. Maybe when we have our sleepover I can introduce you~" Isis promised. "Hinata's doing well. I'm sure she'd love to see you again tonight too." Isis chuckled. As the two began to bicker, Nova gently chided them so that they would stop, but Du insisted that it was just the way siblings bonded. "Heh~ Yeah. Siblinghood is a very uh... Complex feeling. You love to hate each other, but when it comes down to it, you'd do anything for them." Isis giggled. "Nope, the teasing is the same. I've got a brother too, and he's kind of a jerk, but he's still family, and then I have twin cousins who may as well be my little brother and sister, and they love to tease me too, but I get them back...." She gave a dangerous, but playfully mischievous look to Du. "Just like I'm going to get you." She insisted with a grin.
Isis understood Du's feelings on the modeling better once she explained a bit more. "Ahh I see. Well I wouldn't worry about that stuff, unless you planned on going into nude modeling, but I wouldn't send pictures to a company like that, so.... I think you're safe." Isis chuckled. As Du tried on a choker that she liked, Isis was excited to see that the choker was fitted with a keystone, and was making Du's backpack glow due to the megastones within. As Isis commented on this however, Dumuzi seemed quite confused, and before Isis could start explaining, Nova came to ask for help picking something out. "Sure Nova, but hang on, I need you for an explanation." She insisted. Du hadn't escaped her lecture just yet. "Nova here is a Mega Gardevoir, because she's a gardevoir that's holding a gardevoirite, that's the mega stone for a gardevoir. If you look at her scarf, the mega stone is fitted in as a pin attached to the scarf. Mega stones on their own however, can't do anything, even when held by the right pokemon. A trainer needs a key stone to activate it." Isis gestured to her earring, which held her key stone. With her explaination over, Isis went with Nova to go pick some clothes out after Dumuzi insisted that she would stick with the jewlery and come give a hand and opinion afterwards. As they reached the clothing section for pokemon, Isis was intrigued, looking around at the selection. "Were you looking for an item of clothing in particular Nova?" She asked curiously, trying to narrow things down.
Atona calmly took his spot next to the younger lucario, and began meditating with him as the trainers talked, only answering Andreas' question as it was asked of him. He had been right, to some extent, but the point Andreas was making was that, more specifically, there was nothing to gain from being the strongest. Ahh.... Atona smiled wryly. He could see where she was going with this now, but allowed her to talk some sense into her friend, hopefully. Raja on the other hand was oblivious to the conversation for the most part, but she was still happy to be there and witnessing it, especially since Andreas was petting her. She happily stretched out in the girl's lap like a big fluffy skitty, purring contently as she was pet, and waiting patiently for her questions to be answered. Eventually Andreas explained the restaurant to her, offering to ask the waiter for her food request if he came back. "How interesting! The pokemon centers don't have nearly such a complex food making system. Everything is just laid out for you. Have you been to a pokemon center before? They're pretty wonderful~ The beds are so puffy and nice for naps. I guess they're nice for sleeping too." Raja babbled innocently, stretching her paws out a bit before relaxing into Andreas' lap again. "Do we have to wait for our waiter? Hee~ Wait for the waiter. That's funny. Is that why they're called waiters? Anyways, I cold probably contact him from here? Or is that not allowed?" She asked curiously. "You probably shouldn't Raja. People don't take kindly to unknown entities speaking through their heads all of a sudden.""Why? That happens to me all the time! It's not so bad." Raja asked curiously. "People aren't used to it like you. I suppose, how would you feel if the voices stopped suddenly?" Raja shivered. "That would be weird! And dangerous. I'd wonder where all my friends went..." Atona chuckled, having assumed that would be her answer. "Well that's how it feels to humans when you enter their minds. If you're nearby and being introduced, that's one thing, because they know the source. If you're talking at a distance in a crowded room, that's strange and dangerous to them. They don't know who you are, and it's scary. Besides, you must be patient and wait your turn, like everyone else here." Raja pouted. "Oh... Okay. I suppose that makes sense...."✿ ❀

Zero sat silently in his seat as Andreas finished her explanation, somewhat unconvinced by her reasoning, but knew what she meant. Andreas' pokemon were always powerful from the outset; she always had a knack for attracting the strong, Spirit having apparently just wandered up to her one day as a Riolu, and stuck by her. From the stories she'd told, training had never been an issue, almost as if they simply grew into all the power in the world. He could see her logic; as it applied to her, and her alone. The silver-haired trainer however... He couldn't exactly apply it to himself. "...I see, thanks. I'd been wondering for a while."
Seeing her friend mull over the information however, Andreas could tell it wasn't exactly the answer he was looking for. "Look, Z, I'm not going to tell you to stop getting stronger," she clarified. "I'm just saying that you should grow and gain personal strength, not just get stronger for the sake of being strong. If reaching the top is what you want to do then go for it, but just blindingly building yourself up with no clear end-goal is just gonna leave you unprepared and unfulfilled." Zero nodded, and with it finally being her turn to speak, Raja began chatting up a storm. First it was just a question about the food, then it was if the brunette had ever been to a pokemon center before. Before she could even answer, the Wispard immediately went on to the next topic, asking about the waiter and if she could just call him herself, at which point Atona promptly took over the conversation with her. "My, are you just an excitable ball of fluff?" She held back her giggling a bit, before returning her attention to Zero. "By the way, Z, I kinda assumed on the Lucario but this one's had me thinking, who's pokemon are these exactly? I don't remember you having one like this."
Zero was finally brought out of his train of thought at that, his head snapping back up to meet Andreas' gaze as he took a second to register the question. "Oh, they're Isis' pokemon. She, a friend of ours, and my Gardevoir all went shopping while I decided to rest in my room. She left Atona and Raja here to watch me while they were off, since it's usually Nova who makes sure nothing happens while I'm alone."
"Ah! I see. Nova is the Gardevoir with that beautiful astral pattern on their 'dress', right?" Zero nodded. "Machina was telling me about her. She seemed nice, according to him." Andreas' smile started to fade a bit, her lips growing a touch wavy as an awkward subject seemed to come to her mind. She brought up one of her hands to scratch her cheek, while looking out the window, into the streets of Lumiose. "By the way... How've you been holding up, exactly? After that I mean."
Zero gave his friend a quizzical look at that, not entirely sure of what she meant. "What do you mean by 'that' exactly? You'll have to be more specific."
"I mean after... Well, after Isis. Honestly I was a little surprised to hear you two were still traveling together, after what Machina told me a while back."
Zero's expression dimmed, growing more serious as his surprise lengthened. His eyes wider now, he took a quick breath, and responded again. "...How did he know about it? Today was the first time I've spoken to either of you since the Tanabata... And I didn't tell Machina about that... situation at all."
Andreas cocked her head a bit, seemingly perplexed more at Zero's denial. "What are you talking about? Machina was telling me about it a couple of months ago, while we were-" She paused, suddenly and abruptly, her mouth clearly stopped cold in the motions to articulate the following words. A moment later, her lips snapped shut, she straightened up, and scooted to the other side of the booth, lifting Raja slightly so she'd go to the spot she'd just sat in. "Welp, I don't think I'm going to be finishing that sentence. I'll go pay for our food quickly if you wanna go ahead and wait outside, I'll be there in a minute." Getting onto her feet and dawning the lab coat that was now lightly frosted from the Wispard, the brunette headed off to the small counter beside the exit with their bill, Spirit rising as well and following behind his trainer loyally.
Zero meanwhile was still in slight shock, the implications of what he'd just her being... more than troubling. However, he did his best to, at least for the time being, shake the thoughts from his head, and started to scoot out of the booth as well. Guess there were just even more questions for Machina the next time they had a chance to talk. Back on his feet, he motioned for the two pokemon still with him to follow. "Come on, let's get going." Passing the older woman on their way out, Zero glanced back as he watched her collect the money from her wallet, speaking with the man about a to-go order... Well, he didn't stick around to eavesdrop, and instead waited just outside, leaning against the wall beside the door as he waited, quietly mulling over the conversation they had over dinner...
Nova waited as Isis gave Du a rundown of how Mega Pokemon work, using her as an example of how it all worked. She felt like interjecting a bit towards the end, knowing that despite being the example her own trainer never actually came across a key stone himself... Zero simply found the stones, gave them to his pokemon, and they Mega Evolved without issue... In fact Isis herself was present when she Mega Evolved for the first time, no other, secondary stone in sight. Still, it was probably best for the explanation that she didn't bring up such exceptions, and simply stood quietly until the blonde was finally read to help her pick something out. "I don't know... I don't exactly have much in the way of a fashion sense, so I'm not sure what all could work out as a whole." She scanned the various tops and accessories that were more clearly meant for more humanoid pokemon, her brow furrowing as she didn't know how to even approach things. "It seems that they do surprisingly carry clothing for pokemon... Perhaps we should start with that? Find a base and from there choose accessories that go with it? Not sure what colors would go well with me though..."

When Caldo returned he was treated to a quick spray of a potion, returning him to full health and sapping away the sting of his wound. Afterwards he gave a careful pat of his body, checking to make sure he truly was okay and once he'd confirmed he gave a grin and a thumbs up, something that caused Alexandra to smile. She gave him a gentle pat before she looked off towards a nearby alleyway, where a Skiddo could be seen peeking out. Without much thought Alexandra sent out Comet, her eyes dilating when, after being attacked, he began to create a violet sphere. It was about a quarter of the size of his body and, when fully formed, he sent the attack out to envelop his opponent, sending it skidding back several feet. The grassy kid recovered enough to try and heal itself, but with another use of Comet's new attack it went down.

Not soon after defeating one Skiddo another appeared, taking one look at its downed friend before it fixed Comet with a sharp glare and began scraping its hoof against the ground. Instead of directly attacking, however, it shot a projectile directly at the bird, seemingly doing nothing. Beside a bit of feather fluffing from him, Comet didn't see too perturbed by the attack and moved in to attack once more, ending the battle much like the first with another use of Oblivion Wing.

Alexandra made sure to remove the seed still attached to Comet's body before she spritzed him with a potion, being careful not to apply it too heavily where he would have difficulty taking off or even flying. While she did this Comet took it upon himself to find an opponent, and with the help of Xion he did just that. He greeted a Smeargle with a firm punch to the side, though watched curiously as, instead of attacking, the painter simply stood back to its feet and waved its tail about in the air. A moment later it charged, displaying a move similar to the one he'd just used-- in fact he was almost certain it was the same move! Caldo grinned before he launched forward, quickly showing the imposter that it would never come up to the original, no one liked a fraud!

A big grin spread across Dumuzi’s face as Isis described her Zorua. ”I’m liking this pokemon already, it sounds like he keeps you on your toes and prepares you for the good times you’re going to have with Leon.” Amused but Isis’ reaction, it seemed that Du had a rather silent partner with this mischievous Zorua. Du almost couldn’t wait to meet him and had an odd feeling like they were going to be as thick as thieves with their little plots and schemes to get Isis flustered as well as getting closer to Leon. Well, she would just have to wait for tonight when everything was all settled down and the got some quiet time to themselves. The topic of siblings came up and Du gave a sigh, but also a rather distant smile. ”I wish that I had an older sister growing up, I wonder if things would have been different for me if I did have one. It’s kind of interesting when you think of how your life would have changed if the slightest things had been different or had been added in your life.” It would be hard to say if Du’s wanted sister would have been a great ally for her or a great obstacle, but things could have turned out very different if she had one. Maybe she wouldn’t have taken the pokemon and ran away… but if all that happened, would she have met Isis and Leon? It was food for thought to be sure. When Isis leaned over and made a point that she was going to get Du back for all the teasing, Du couldn’t help but give a sly smile back at Isis. ”Many have promised that, Hon-bun, but I have yet to see anyone deliver on that promise.” The challenge seemed to be issued and the playful battle lines were drawn in the sand. It would be interesting to see how Isis would get her back for all the teasing that she had subjected her to so far.
Things seemed to settle down for a bit until Du found herself being schooled by Isis and her infinite knowledge about how things worked in the Pokemon universe. Honestly, Du was just happy with the choker because it was totally adorable and she loved them, but apparently there was something really special with it. It was the icing on the cake for Du and she knew right then that she was going to buy it. Though she would have to ask Taz if there was any benefit to having this mega-evolution thing in the contests, regardless of the answer it was an interesting little bit of information that Du was glad to get a hold of. Du continued to shop for a little longer and got some other accessories for her outfits to tie them all together. Some were easier to decide on than others but eventually she got what she wanted, and even opted to wear the choker that she fell in love with that had the Key stone attached to it. Du came over to group as they started to look for stuff for Nova to wear. Du said nothing but blinked a few times before looking around and finding a Hair band and a fashionable pair of sunglasses for Nova and placing them on her person. Du stepped back to take a look with an amused smile on her face. Nova actually pulled them off rather well. ”So what kind of fashions were we looking for? Elegant and beautiful or does Nova want something more on the sweet and feminine side? Oh! Or maybe she wants to break the mold and go with something punk?”

✿ ❀Isis rolled her eyes as Dumuzi suggested that she liked Yang, and that he was helping prepare her. "You say that now, but I swear he's annoying and devilish and relentlessly embarrassing." She shook her head and sighed. They began to talk about sibling interactions, Isis recalling her own family and Du wishing that she had an older sister growing up, since things might have been different if she did. "It's certainly interesting to think about, yeah. At times I think it would have been nice to have an older sister rather than an older brother, because I feel like an older sister wouldn't have been such a jerk to me...." Isis frowned briefly. "But... If it weren't for him teasing me, I probably wouldn't have gotten into photography, so I don't think that I'd change anything, even if it was an option." She concluded brightly, though as the reassured Nova that the teasing was normal sibling bonding behavior, Isis suggested that she would get Du back one of these day for all the grief she was giving Isis. Du only took it as a challenge though, suggesting that many before her had promised to do the same with little success. "Fufufufu~ You underestimate me by thinking that I'm like most people." Isis leered, poking her chin in a mysteriously sinister way.
This would be fun, but for now, they had shopping to focus on. For how much longer though, Isis wasn't sure, since she was already fighting to stifle yawns. How late was it getting anyways...? Isis was distracted from the thought as she noticed Du had gotten ahold of a choker with a key stone, turning on her full lecture mode. Du certainly seemed happy with her choice in the end, but Isis was pulled aside by Nova for help before she could see Du's end decision. Nova really seemed unsure of what to try, as she didn't really have a fashion sense,but the store did happen to carry clothing for pokemon, so she wanted to try something. "Hmmm....." Isis gave it some thought, looking through the clothing racks to get a better idea of what was available, and eventually Du came by with a pair of sunglasses for the gardevoir before asking what style they were looking for. "She's not really sure, she said she was relying on our judgement, heehee~" Isis giggled, pulling a nice black shawl and holding it out to nova. "I think this would be a nice accent to your dress and gloves." Isis suggested. "I also think you would look just darling in a sunhat." She giggled.
The two had Nova try a few various things on and after spending a lot of time browsing, eventually they were ready to check out. Isis yawned again, this time unable to stop it, and she was reminded again to look at the time. "Goodness, it's getting pretty late... If you wanna meet my pokemon and talk, we should probably head back south next and get settled in our room for the night Du." She suggested. "If we shop any more I might fall asleep in the street, heh." Isis chuckled. "Plus Zero might be wondering where we ran off to, but I think I'd call today a shopping success~" She insisted.
Raja perked up a bit since Andreas seemed amused by her excitableness, and would have answered Andreas' question as to whose pokemon they were, if Zero hadn't gotten to it first. Though, in bringing up Isis, Andreas asked Zero how he was doing since the incident after the Tanabata, which, frankly she shouldn't have known about. It was strange, Raja was mostly oblivious but Zero and Atona picked up on it rather quickly, and when Andreas realized her mistake, she quickly dismissed it and diverted the subject, moving Raja so she could stand up and talk to their waiter. Atona exchanged looks with Zero, seeming just as perplexed as he was with the revelation, but there wasn't much they could do about it now, so the two pokemon rose to their feet and followed Zero out the door. ✿ ❀

After waiting a few minutes for Andreas, the brunette finally walked out the door to join Zero, a small takeout container in hand. "Well, I'd say this was a nice meal, Z," she noted, squatting down to Raja before opening the to-go box. Insdie was, sure enough, a pair of frozen, uncooked fish, fresh out of the freezer. Setting it down for the snow leopard to eat out of, she stood back up, stretching her arms as she did so. "I should probably start heading back, before Machina starts getting lonely. Tell Isis I said hi, and, as for you," Her gaze shifted to Atona for a moment. "I know he's not your trainer, but do try to keep an eye on him when you can. He's the type to not ask for help." After a few more minutes of exchanging farewells, the two trainers went their seperate ways. Zero started heading back to the center with Atona and Raja, while Andreas flew off on her Skarmory back to Sinnoh, her and Spirit's mixed auras still felt even long after they left.
Zero was quiet for a bit, retracing the path they took to the resturant to begin with. After some time, he glanced back at his friend's Lucario, taking a moment before finally speaking. "Atona, I know you were more preoccupied with the barrier back then, but..." there was a slight pause as he thought to himself. "When we went back, before we had to jump back to our time, did you notice anything... Off? Like, something that shouldn't have happened did? It wasn't exactly in the event itself, but..." The image of the younger Machina's gaze locked dead on them during that storm flashed in his mind, unblinking and firm. Who knows if he'd only seen them for that brief instant the barrier faultered, or if, somehow, that younger boy knew they were there. The questions Zero had to raise were steadily increasing as time went on. His movement went on autopilot while he continued to think, barely even noticing when he started to approach the back of Isis' group.
The Gardevoir blinked a little when Du suddenly found a few accessory items and immediatly placed them onto her, taking a second to remove the glasses as the younger trainer asked what they were looking for. Nova giggled a bit but waved off the idea of a "punk" outfit, putting the two accessories back where they came from. "No no, I'd rather stay away from that particular look. But I'm open to what you can find me~" At that, Isis brandished a black cloth, and a large sunhat, which she was more than happy to try on. They looked around a little more after those, trying on a few other things, but ultimately all she walked out with was that black shawl and sunhat that they started with. She seemed pretty content with it though, and soon the consensus soon came to them all heading back now. As the blonde mentioned her trainer though, the horns on the sides of her head twitched lightly, turning around to see the silver-haired trainer approaching them. "It seems we might actually be the ones wondering where he went," She noted, bringing the girls attention to their friend approaching.

The rest of the time spent with the girls was full of giggles and fun as Du and Isis continued shopping with and for Nova. The time seemed to escape them while they were having so much fun –or it was at least that way for Dumuzi. When Isis stifled her yawn and proclaimed that it was probably time to head back to the pokemon center and get to their rooms or they would have to be carrying her back with them. ”Aww…” Du gave something of a sad smile but she did understand. Poor Isis had been through a lot apparently while she was being a brave hero all sprawled out on the floor. Still, she had a good time while it lasted. ”Alright, I got some good stuff today so I would definitely think that this is a successful shopping trip. Thank you both for coming with me, it made it much more fun.” Du’s smile brightened a bit and she said this, she was very grateful for their opinions on her pieces and they helped her pick out some really cute and pretty things. Du could do a little more shopping on her own when she got the chance, and maybe she could meet up with Isis again in the future to do it again. Du quirked an eyebrow when Zero was mentioned and she looked over to see him heading their way. To say that she was surprised was something of an understatement but she lifted her arm and waved at him. ”Hey Zero! We were just finishing up. Care to escort us cute ladies to the pokemon center?”
