As per usual Rose's mouth worked a bit ahead of her brain, Cain had barley finished speaking when the statement "I want you to ravish me" suddenly found itself hanging in the air. It took a short moment for even Rose to register what she had just said, and began to turn pink as a result. She really needed to install a bit of a filter when it came to things like this, someday this was going to get her in trouble... She looked up at him expectantly, then decided to take matters into her own hands for a bit, and kissed him.

Cain just laughed into the kiss as he slid his hands down her body to lift her into his arms without breaking the kiss and carried her into the bedroom, clearly having absolutely no problem answering her demand of him. He finally let her up for air as he set her on her feet beside the bed and hurriedly took off his clothes before starting to remove hers at a considerably slower pace, kissing and teasing every inch of skin he revealed on the way before finally laying her on the bed to 'ravish' her as requested. He set himself to doing just that with the same intensity and focus he used when doing his research, bringing her to the heights of pleasure over and over before finally seeking his own. After a short rest he set about doing it all over again, leaving no part of her untouched or unkissed along the way. When he finally let her rest beside him, he kept his arms around her, holding her close as he pressed gentle kisses to her face, neck, and shoulder, wanting to make sure she knew how much he treasured her. He knew they were destined for another hot bath or shower after that but couldn't find it in himself to complain about it. He loved every moment spent with her and could only hope that she would never regret loving him in return. He did have several plans in the works that he hoped she would like, such as the wedding dress he was designing for her. He had several drawings he'd been making, trying to find the perfect design for her. He'd done one of a fully traditional design but knew that it wouldn't suit her personality so he'd done a few others, one was a pants set but still hadn't looked right to him. He'd finally settled on one design that consisted of a corseted top in peach, a pair of cream tights, and a half-skirt in both colors with a wide-brimmed hat instead of a conventional veil so that she could leave her hair down. He only hoped she liked it when he finished the design before he sent it to the seamstress. "When you're rested and your lovely eyes finish recovering, I would like you to look at something and tell me what you think of it. If you like it, it would mean that we could get married in about two weeks..." he said softly, finishing on a questioning note and hoping she wouldn't mind that he wanted to get married to her so soon.

After Cain had finished for the second time, the dopamine in her brain had cleared up enough for her to thing straight again, Rose was beyond happy. She snuggled closely to Cain, savoring the feeling of his skin on hers, even if it was a bit sticky now with sweat and other fluids. Soon though, she had recovered from the intense affections of Cain. She perked up at his mention of their wedding being in two weeks. She couldn’t keep the disbelief out of her voice when she said “Really? Just two weeks? It’s going to feel like an eternity. Whatever it is, I’m sure I’ll like it. All of your surprises have been pleasant so far after all… With the exception of the surprise that you were kidnapped of course.” She ran a hand down the side of his face. “I can’t bear the thought of losing you, especially to death.” Rose was silent for a moment, thinking about all of the funerals and memorial services she had once attended. She quickly banished such morbid thoughts from her mind and sat up. “So what’s this surprise of yours handsome?” ((another sub-par post, but at least this will keep things moving))

((You're doing just fine.)) Cain gave her a brief kiss then looked at her eyes for a moment then got up, "I hope your eyes are up for this," he told her simply then retrieved the sketch pad and brought it back to the bed, handing it to her as he settled in next to her, "Take a look and let me know what you think, which one you'd prefer to have made. I estimated two weeks because that's how long it would take to have it made for you to wear," he told her softly. He didn't touch the issue of him dying on her. With his position in the castle, there wasn't anything likely to happen to him. The kidnapping had been a fluke thing and he knew he'd been grabbed by mistake.

Rose gingerly took the sketch book into her hands. She looked carefully at each of the designs, immediately tossing out the idea of the one with pants, it didn't seem quite right. The traditional dress just seemed... Exactly like something she had warred with her mother over. She shuddered as she remembered the white lace monstrosity she had to wear for her debut. Never again. Never again. She tapped a nail on the third design,an interesting ensemble with a half skirt, corset, and wide-brimmed hat. "This one, it looks perfect." Not to frilly, not to masculine. Just... Perfect. Rose smiled at him, then a memory bubbled to the surface of her mind. "I forgot to tell you, apparently something big, really big, has come up involving a few of the guests I was expecting. Hammish, the Blacks, and Leonard are currently wrapped up in a power struggle, as well as dealing with a few other problems. Something about a smaller group trying to bring back human trafficking. Apparently the person who was being groomed to take over the group left suddenly a few months ago, leaving their ex-family in a bit of a lurch. Now there's a bit of a power vacuum, and trouble's booming as clever thugs try to prove themselves worthy of grabbing that position. Ah yes, and the new slavers are of course causing problems...." She signed "The world is just a bit of a mess right now." It was a shame they wouldn't be able to attend, but hopefully they'd have a chance to visit later.

Cain smiled and took the sketchpad from her so she wouldn't see the other drawings he'd done of her, not too sure if she'd appreciate them since she'd been asleep when he'd done them of her, "I'll sent it to the seamstress to have made for you later tonight," he said simply and set the pad on the bedside table before returning to cuddle with her. At her news, he blinked a bit, not remembering when they were put on the guest list for the wedding that he'd given to Rebecca. But he simply went with it since there were usually things he forgot to remember, "I'm sorry they won't be able to attend, then. At least the others will, though," he offered, knowing that she'd be well-represented by the mages she'd introduced him to. After all, it wasn't as if it was going to be a big wedding...

A bolt of lightning streaked over the ocean, flashing past a ship, cracking through a clear blue sky over a village, then a town, then more ocean. Tzzek was lost. He was sure the little winged magical creatures had been talking about something in this direction called a castle. They had said that it had vampires and lots of other magical things. His blue-white form glowed a little more brightly with excitement. This place was going to be awesome! He was going to learn so much! He just had to find it.
He bent his path higher and sent out a soft 'ping' of magic while he slowed down, reshaping into an azure sphere of light about a foot or so across. A few moments later the echo of his 'ping' came back. A part of it was wrong though. It had lots of distortion. Lots of different kinds of magic. That's where he was going, it had to be. He lunged toward the place at full speed in a cohesive bolt of pure magic. Then he hit something. The ping had been warped by hitting magic. Some of that was still around and he ran into it. It wasn't strong or new or dangerous really but... Tzzek was moving very fast and it hurt. He got a brief flash of a big stone thing and some forest before he hit.
Glass blasted to partially vaporized shards as Tzzek slammed through the bedroom window, blasted small chips from the stone floor, then the far wall and the ceiling. Finally he fetched up in a quivering ball in the corner of the room a few inches from the floor. His color was a deep blue with ripples of faint purple stress slipping throughout. He knew that he would live, luckily, but he didn't know exactly where he was and the fact is that he might have hit something important, he wasn't sure. He also had a migrane... everywhere. It hurt so much that he even spoke, a thing he didn't do much since it's tricky when you're made of raw magical energy. His voice was a little like the sound of arcing electricity paired with a teenager whining.
"Ow... ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow ow owowowowowowow..." He whined, quivering.
((And let the evil streaking commence! I have the biggest smile on my face right now.))

Rose happily cuddled up to Cain "Well, I'm sure they'll drop when they have the chance." She ran a hand through his hair, she was fairly certain that his hair was longer than hers... And it looked great on him. Suddenly the hairs on the back of her neck stood up, almost like a spell was being invoked nearby... Before she could figure out what she was picking up, it slammed through the window. Every hair on her body that was small enough to stand up, did. Rose looked at the little purple and blue ball from the safety of Cain's arms, curious to what the hell it was and why it was throwing off so much magical energy... Then it started to make a noise, that distinctly sounded like an injured person whining, albeit a bit more... Electrified. Like the sound of a Tesla coil. It was all she needed to draw a conclusion, although before her brain could fully process it and come up with an appropriate greeting, her mouth had already said "Holy s**t! Are you real?

Of course, that reaction was pure 'Rose'. Cain, however, frowned a bit at the ball of stuff for a moment then got up and went into the living room to get one of his books and walked back thumbing through it, not caring that he was completely naked the whole time. "Ah yes... Here it is... Archon..." he said to himself as he stopped at the reference he was looking for then glanced down at the ball then back at the book, "Surprised it can talk, though... Most can't... Just don't touch it Rose, bad things happen if you touch them... Well, generally..." he said while still looking at the pages in the book as he re-read the reference, "Hmmm... Think you can help it make a body? Seems they can do that sometimes but can never make it stick..." he continued in his usual way as he walked back to the bed. Well, he intended to walk back to the bed. Instead, he tripped over the rug and landed face first on the floor. Okay, okay... Face-in-the-book-first on the floor. But one generally got the idea...

Tzzek stopped whining. His color changed abruptly to a bright blue. Then a wave of light shone off of him and swept the room as he learned it. Two humanoids, both magical. He learned them. He also observed the one fall on his face. It startled him. With a sudden burst of speed he went from being a few inches from the floor to a few inches from the ceiling.
Then the words registered. Then he got embarrassed. He felt silly. He turned slightly more purple with shifting lines of green. He was blushing. They knew things about him. They weren't going to hurt themselves... more... probably. And they didn't seem like they were going to hurt him either. They actually seemed to be talking about helping him complete his humanoid form.
He didn't know what to do. What did people say...?
"I'm... tzt... Tzzek." He sounded less whiny now though the electric sound made him a little hard to understand. That and he knew little about practical conversation. "Humanforms are... tztzzt... hard."

While Cain was on his brief quest for a reference book, Rose kept her eyes trained on the little Archon. Never, in her life span (as long as it was going to be) did she guess that she would one day be able to meet one. Mostly because she only ever saw them mentioned in very old books that tended to be half-truth half allegory, and the Archon just seemed so impossible. She was completely delighted to have the chance to see one, let alone get a chance to communicate with it. Rose did however, feel a great deal differently about Cain regarding personal nudity. She picked up Cain’s shirt from the floor where it had been discarded in a moment of passion, and wriggled into it. She kept herself at a distance though, it would be horrid if it died due to a mistake on her part. When Cain did a face-plant after warning her to not touch it, she hurried over to his side and helped him up. The Archon had shot towards the ceiling apparently from surprise, Oh my gods Rose thought This is so incredible! A sentient being made completely of magic! Oh the implications, she couldn’t wait to tell Brian that his hunch about the Archon was right! The little being made a noise, that vaguely reminded Rose of a dub-step song, then it mentioned that “humanforms” were hard. Her forehead wrinkled “Do you mean literally, as in we’re not squishy, or hard as is to manufacture? Because the second one is true, that’s why true necromancy is almost completely impossible in theory, and completely impossible in practice.” She looked at the ball of magic earnestly, to see what it had to say.

After Rose helped him up, Cain checked over the book and gave a relieved sigh when he saw it had suffered no damage from the fall then simply sat there as he kept reading the reference, "He likely means to manufacture, love... If he's mentioning it like that, it means he's tried and failed but wants a body of his own... Not in the way of necromancy, though. And Goh's abilities would change your theories on necromancy if you ever encountered him. But being a former god, he probably doesn't count on that issue... "Anyway, he's likely very young, Archon generally are... and incredibly inquisitive... He may be hungry as well... Let's see... Blue..." he flipped a couple of pages and his expression cleared, "Ah..." he said simply and got up to go digging through his closet to finally emerge with an old Dwarven dagger that still held plenty of magic, "Here you go Tzzek, devour as you wish," he said simply as he set the dagger on the floor and moved back to sit on the bed as he continued to read. "As a blood mage, maybe you and your friends can work something out for him with a body when they get here for the wedding... It'll have to be something interesting, completely new... Something he can put plenty of energy into without destroying it in the process..." he continued then went into the living room for another book, "Another reference, maybe... Should be something on bodies for them somewhere... Maybe in the library..." he said to himself. Of course, if Rose didn't at least get him into a pair of pants, he was probably going to head down there as he was...

Tzzek listened attentively but stayed in his little corner of the ceiling. He was starting to become more comfortable with these people though they were strange. It sounded like they were just going to go way out of their way to help him... because. Nothing he had ever met had been like that. It was wierd. But, he liked this kind of wierd. Maybe they'd answer questions too.
Then the dagger hit the carpet. That landing had hurt and Tzzek had lost some magic in it. He was feeling more than a little hungry. Most archon of colors similar to his would strip the magic from a dagger like that using electricity. Tzzek was definitely different from most archon. A small spark of blue light drifted off of him and alighted on the dagger's centerpoint. Then it vanished. The dagger began to glow softly and then it disintegrated into a rising cloud of azure and gold sparks. Tzzek moved from his corner so that the cloud rose into him. He absorbed every spark of the energy that he had freed from the dagger's component matter. He had fed, not only on the magic that was already there, but he had also converted the mass of the dagger to magical energy as well. He left nothing behind. He wasn't hungry anymore and his color stabilized to a stable blue-white. He was still curious though and he had a couple questions to ask.
He drifted a little closer to the female and spoke. "Are you cold?" The room wasn't cold as far as Tzzek could tell. "Is..." He struggled for the proper pronoun for a moment to complete his second question. "he cold too?"
Then Tzzek realized something. "Tzt... ... I want to do it myself..." He was not good at smoothly changing topics. "I can almost do it, you know!" He protested before the male could leave. "I'll... tzt... show you!"
He moved to a clear area of the floor and got stopped moving. Then his diameter started to shrink, he was compressing and his light was changing. It had been a clear glow but now it became more intense, closer to the light of an arc welder.
The only sound he made was a fierce crackling hiss as his shape began to distort. The sphere started extending tendrils and pseudopods that reached and collapsed back into the main part of Tzzek's body. He was getting bigger but the intensity was not diminishing. Bit by bit, molecule by molecule, he converted his energy to a solid, a liquid, or a gas. He was careful, he wanted to impress them with how good he was, not embarrass himself. He wanted to do it on his own. He didn't want to need help. He put everything where it was supposed to go and the light began to dim.
A few minutes later Tzzek opened bloodshot sky blue eyes under platinum blonde bangs from where his naked and pale body was curled up on the floor. He was trembling with cold and pain. It wasn't right. Things were breaking already. He twitched and coughed bloody foam onto the carpet. He managed a deep breath, raised his head a few inches to meet the female's eyes and spoke, determination and desperate pride saturating his soft base voice.
"See... ung... I can... eng... get really close..." Then he was wracked with heavy deep coughs and he started to glow. "Things... breaking... gotta..."
He glowed brighter as the body began to dissolve into a dense cloud of blue sparks that filled an area several feet in diameter. Then they slowly gathered back together into a sphere that was the same size as before but seemed dimmer and its color was darker, closer to a deep blue.
"Tzt... See... I can get close..." Tzzek drifted a little listlessly, staying close to the same spot but still. He was drained. That always took a lot of power. It wouldn't take so much if it worked but failing and changing back meant that a lot of magic was lost. He was still stable for now but he felt something like light-headedness. He had made everything work. They just didn't all work the right way. ((Edited to complete the scene.))

Rose listened intently to Cain, the gears in her head already starting to grind together on how she could help. "If necromancy is out... Then Alchemy might work with a few tweaks. Harold, rest his soul, came pretty close to making a homunculus, and I think James still has his Grimoire somewhere. And..." She kissed his forehead "If you're going to do research, don't forget to put on clothes." She knew how he could become distracted from things when he got into his books, and forget such matters. When she had first met him he had been barefoot, somehow he had left his shoes under the shelves in the library (near the Russian romance novels). It would not surprise her if he forgot his pants while caught up in the moment. Rose watched, fascinated, as Tzzek consumed the dagger whole. It was incredible, completely breaking down an object, transferring it into pure energy... She was simply thrilled to have a chance to see this. She smiled as the Archon wafted a bit closer to her, excited to see what would happen next. She tilted her head slightly to the side at his question, "Cold? No, I'm not. You're giving me goosebumps with all the energy you're releasing though." Then the little guy seemed insistent on proving himself, and seemed to concentrate all of his mass into a smaller space, emitting a great deal more light. Rose didn't say anything, just shielded her eyes and waited what was going to come next. Rose wasn't sure whether to be impressed by the sheer showing of such powerful magic, or to feel sorry for the Archon for being unable to quite take a physical form. He was trying so hard, but apparently all the effort he was putting in wasn't quite enough. It looked like something wasn't syncing up, like all of his tissue was trying to reject itself. That would explained the blood-shot eyes but not quite the bloody foam he coughed up. "You can almost get it... That means with a bit of help you will be able to get it right?" she smiled encouragingly at the Archon. "You don't have to do everything in life by yourself you know. Sometimes you have to ask for help, and I'm certainly offering mine. This is something I'd regret not doing, a real chance to further the arts, without destroying someone or something."

Cain paused and looked down at himself with a frown, "Right. Pants," he said simply and went into the closet to put on a pair of jeans and buttoned them up, coming back out just in time to see the shift and shift back routine. He took one look at Tzzek's color and frowned a bit, "He's drained himself... Okay then, something better... Hmmm.... It'll have to be the armory, I guess..." he said to himself then approached the Archon without touching him. "Since you've drained yourself like that, can you follow me to another room? We can feed you there, but you'll have to take only what I say you can. And no scanning in there or you might accidentally blow us all up. There are things in there with some pretty nasty curses on them and there's no telling what will happen if you combine Archon energy with the curses. Agreed?" he told him a little firmly but kindly as well. They had to get him fed or he was going to fizzle out and he knew Rose was already gearing up for the challenge of helping him get a body of his own, so he'd help where he could and keep her happy. He turned to Rose and got momentarily distracted by the sight of her in his shirt but shook his head to clear it again, "You finish getting dressed love and see what you can analyze from the blood on the carpet. I'll take him to get him fed and come back when I find the book I need in the library. Hopefully I can keep him focused..." he frowned on that one, "Hopefully I can keep me focused," he added then shook his head again and pushed his hair back as he turned back to the Archon to wait for his agreement.
