(Oh boy. This is not gonna bode well with Adrian)
Adrian was running late to lunch, having to stay a bit longer to finish some exams up. He was gonna ask her, ask her is she would go out with him. He felt confident and was gonna ask after school. Then, he saw Aaron sitting at the table. He didn't know what happened between him and Mae, but his emotions got to the better of him. He quickly ran off to be alone, storming out of the cafeteria in tears. He didn't know why he was crying, he didn't know why Aaron was sitting at their table, he didn't know why he couldn't stand Aaron! He just knew that he was sad and wanted to get away from everyone.

Mae stood, which quieted everyone at their table. Adrian, who had entered the cafeteria and then left a moment later, didn't look to well. Mae held a listless face before sucking in her breath and confidence swelled in her. Luce and Jeffery watched dumfounded. "What happened?" Many others took notice as well. Mae gave a glance to her friends before getting out from the table. "Be right back," she murmured before running off, after Adrian unknowing to his emotions. She didn't know where he went at first but went in search of him until she found him. "Wait," she said before clearing her throat. "Are you really going to make me raise my voice, Adrian? Wait! Stop running away!" Mae followed him, wanting to know what was wrong. Did something happen at home from yesterday? he was so happy the day before. She wondered what made him make such a face. Of course, she didn't know he was crying nor of his inner feelings but ran after him anyways. She promised him yesterday she'd be there for him. That she'd listen to what he'd have to say, be it good or bad.

Adrian didn't hear her, casting away everything that was going on to the back of his mind as he continued to run away like a startled deer, tears filling his eyes. His destination was unknown, running until something could stop him. Soon enough he came to the end of the line, a cornered area between the science building and the outer walls. He then dropped to the floor, wrapping his arms around his knees, his tear soaked cheeks and eyes enflamed from the crying.

Mae stopped running after him, pausing when she watched him kneel the floor. Mae panted, not used to running and slowed. She didn’t know how to handle a crying person, who Adrian eventually became. She didn’t say nothing at first but catch her breath, watching Adrian’s back. She quietly walked forward until she stood a yard behind him, running a hand through his hair. “Adrian?” She asked quietly, obviously not knowing she did anything wrong. She cleared her throat and tried again. “Adrian?” She paused. “You know you could tell me if anything is happening…” Mae didn’t like tears. She hated them; it was the only thing she hated. Yet, she cared for Adrian enough to put up with his whirling emotions. In the back of her head, she soon grew anxious. Did she do something wrong to hurt him? She again was a horrible person, wasn’t she? But without Adrian’s answer, she didn’t know how to continue. “What’s wrong?” She mumbled, almost pained. If it was her fault, she decided that she’d never speak to anyone ever again. She wouldn’t want to speak anymore if it meant hurting someone. She didn’t know what was wrong and soon grew worried for Adrian, stepping closer.

Adrian tried his best to dry his tears with his arm, but to no avail. They just kept rolling down his rose colored cheeks. He looked as if he was about to same something, but no words came out. He kept trying with no success, just leading to some heaving breathing, trying to calm himself down, and some whimpering, the trade off for heavy crying. Finally, he was able to create some sort of explanation, be it heavily stuttered and hard to understand with the drowning of the moping and whimpering. "I-I-I'mmm, s-sorry...." He started to say, doing his best to speak. "I-I-I sss-saw you.... a-and himm... Emotions j-j.... just got the betterrr.... of meee.... I-I don't eevennn k-kno-ow why..... why I-I'm crying..." He said, wanting to slap himself for how he was acting. "He just makes me feel so low! So worthless... I can tell his life was worse than mine, but I'm the one who thinks I've lived a terrible life... even though my life hasn't been terrible at all..." He said, starting to stop crying now. "I don't know him, I don't know anything about him, but when I saw him eating with you.... the only thing..... the only thing that was in my head.... w-was..... they look so much better together...." He basically spouted and then starting to cry again, quickly running away as fast as he could so he couldn't see Mae's reaction to his selfish thoughts.

Mae was confused. What did he mean by all of that? Why was he sorry? Why was he fustrated? What was wrong with eating with Aaron? She thought that if Adrian got to know Aaron a little better, they could be friends. And what was that about them looking better together? Why had Adrian got so emotional? Mae watched him run off, letting him go. Of course she wanted all her questions answered but she didn't want Adrian to force himself to speak when she knew she was causing him at least some distress. Mae clutched her skirt, watching him before deciding that she'd leave Adrian alone for awhile for him to settle his thoughts. She headed back to the cafeteria when Luce asked what happened. Mae didn't know how to answer at first as she seated herself in her former seat, biting into the sweat bun Luce had. "A small misunderstanding," she murmured, as if nothing went wrong, and refused to say more about Adrian's jet out the door. But Aaron obviously picked up on Mae's change of behavior, how confused and hurt she looked after leaving. He watched her for a moment before silently eating.
Mae couldn't focus on the last her tests, constantly thinking about something else. It bothered her, what Adrian said. His tears were so... Mae looked down, not knowing the answer to this english question and simply made a well-educated guess. Would Adrian ever talk about it? She hoped so. She wanted to know what was wrong.
[ You can time skip if you want. To after school, the weekend, the next day, it doesn't matter. I'll allow free reign because I got to go pretty soon. I won't be on as much until the weekend though. ]

(That's fine. I probably won't be on all that much either anyway. Oh and time skip after school) The sheer quickness of how fast Adrian left school could be seen as record breaking. He wanted to get out of there so quickly that he didn't even go to his locker to put some books away. He just ran to his car and left.
At home he was alone, his mother and father still at work. He needed to vent, needing to relax his head. He needed to talk to Mae, but couldn't even think about it. He felt like an idiot, feeling so selfish for thinking what he did. Why though? Is it because of how much he liked her? Is it because of how Aaron looked or acted? He couldn't even answer his own question. He laid on his bed, watching the ceiling fan twirl. He needed to talk to someone, looking over to his phone. "Maybe Jeffry can help..." He said to himself, texting him to come over so they could talk.

Mae sighed, a dreary one at that. She couldn't focus on her exams at all after lunch, obviously bothered by Adrian's outbreak. She shouldn't hsve went after him. She didn't want to see Adrian that sad; to see him cry or feel like he couldn't talk to her. She had no work so she was elft to her own devices after school. Since it was a minimum day due to exam week, the sun was still pretty up. Luce decided to tag along with Mae and in the end, after a couple hours, had decided to go shopping. Jeffery was busy, Luce told her. Te two ended up going to the more popular outlet in the city, much larger than the small neighborhood outlet they had went to the other day, The two ended up buying a couple things. They sat under an umbrella table outside, Luce minding herself with a smoothie and Mae a parfait. The two spoke quietly and eventually Luce leaned back, a casual look about her, She obviously didn't want her next question to look like she was prying or anything nor that she actually cared for Mae's answer yet she very much was doing those two things. "So...What's up with Adrian?" She asked, playing with her straw, avoiding the long gaze from Mae. Mae watched her, unsure of how to open herself. "Nothing," she stated firstly, quickly rather before feeling a tad regret. "Um...he came over to my house yesterday," she murmured quietly, ashamed and looked away. Luce immediately blew up on all sorts of situations on what could've or might've happened. Lue quieted some after awhile. "Did he say anything in particular? Dish it out," Luce inclined. Mae felt very reserved but decided that since Luce was such a close frend to her, she felt she could share anything. "Not really. I told him he could tell me anything but he didn't say anything was wrong. And then today, he looked so...bothered...It made me feel guilty." Luce shut her mouth and shook her head, sipping at her rather too sweet smoothie. "Oh," she murmured, rather dissapointed. Had he not asked her out yet? It was rather too obvious Adrian liked Mae. The way he spoke nervously around her, how he acted or talked about her. And she noticed him blushing here and there. Luce decided not to tell Mae though. That was something Adrian should do on his own. Yet he was taking his goddamn time! It was driving Luce CRAZY with impatience. She expected Adrian to have mentioned it to Mae sometime or another but it seems he hadn't. On another note, Mae certainly looked tired. Luce leaned over the table slightly to look at Mae. "You look really tired Mae. Wanna head back?" She asked. Mae paused but nodded. She wanted to go into her bed and curl into her comforter. Or drink hot cocoa. Luce got up and paid before they settled on leaving.
Luce parted ways, waving to Mae. "Hey, if it really is bothering you, you should talk to him about it. Really," she added and ran off, Luce's house was near school so Mae was fine walking back home. Her mother wasn't home, as usual, but she made dinner. Mae didn't feel like eating and resorted to moping on the couch, Marshmellow taking joy in getting comfortable laying on Mae's stomach.

"So, what's up? I didn't expect you to run off like that. What happened?" Jeffry asked Adrian, who was currently laying on his bed, moping in sadness.
"It's just... I think Mae would be better off with that new kid..." He said to him, Jeffry shaking his head. "What?! Your talking stupid man. You just have to ask her out that's all. Your taking forever to!" He exclaimed to him, trying his best to make him feel better.
Adrian just shook his head in disappointment. "I... I don't know anymore. I don't think I will..." He said, looking out his window.
Jeffry looked at him, shocked. "But you love her! It's so obvious you do! Come on! I know you can do it!" Jeffry then exclaimed back, another shake of his head. "No... I can't do it..."
Jeffry tried and tried, but he couldn't cheer him up at all. Walking home, he took out his phone, texting Luce. 'He's dead inside. I can't even cheer him up anymore. He's never gonna ask her.'

Luce replied quickly, her phone next to her at all times so her reply was in a matter of seconds. 'Oh jeez! You should've told him to hurry his sweet a**!' After a moment, she sent another text to Jeffery. 'He should better hurry or someone else might sweep her off her feet.'
[ I call for it to be the weekend since I'm awesome. ]
Mae didn't have work on Saturday and was left to her own devices for the whole day. Her mother would be back before dinner so she was alone for the day. She sighed and headed for the kitchen, her sweet tooth calling for some sugar. She hadn't seen Adrian since the incident earlier in the week. Luce mentioned something about him feeling in the dumps. Mae suddenly got an idea and dug herself into the cupboard and fridge, taking out ingredients. She'd make something to cheer Adrian up! She vaguely remembered where his house was and decided to drop by. After whipping up soemthign and getting ready for an outing, Mae left her apartment on her way to Adrian's house. She held the bag of sweets in one had as she walked, the sun beaming its heat on the world.
It was a hot day, which explained the sweat on Aaron's forehead as he walked on the side walk. He wiped his brow and sighed, feeling the heat crawl up his back. He then noticed a familiar figure up ahead and caught up with Mae. "Hello," he said coolly. Mae greeted him, making Aaron feel welcome. He noticed the bag in her hand. "What's that?" He pointed to it and Mae looked at it as well before giving him an awkward smile. "Just a little something is all," she replied. Aaron didn't go any further yet proceeded in conversation. However, he could tell Mae looked uncomfortable.
Adrian didn't like Aaron. And the comment, about them looking good together was a tad heart breaking. Mae remained quiet, unsure of whether to talk to Aaron about it or ignore him. Yet, Aaron's cell phone rang and proceeded to look at his phone. He excused himself and ran off, answering it, leaving Mae by herself. Mae's heart hurt as she watched Aaron's back before continuing her walk until Adrian's large house loomed over her. She rang the door bell after a series of contemplations, yet decided to be confident and getting it over with.

Adrian was currently sleeping, wanting to just sleep everything off. His parents were both home, his Mother currently working on a new project while his Father was in the living room, relaxing after a long week of work, having been granted some rest.
The doorbell rang throughout the house, waking Adrian up, but he not leaving his room or his bed. His father got up and went to the door, not expecting to find Mae there. The two had never met, but he knew a little about her from what his wife told him about her. He was a tall man, his face stern and serious. However, his voice was warm and full or heart. "Mae I presume. The boy's a wreck right now, trying his best to "sleep" everything off or something." He said to her, welcoming her in. Adrian's mom walked in and gave Mae a wave of hello, going up to tell Adrian that Mae is here. She was back down in a minute though. "He's up, but looks like a mess." She said, her husband just relaying the message.

Mae scanned Adrian's father, interested in what kind of person he was. He towered over her, intimidating and stern looking he was until he opened his mouth. She gave his mother a small wave back and waited patiently in the hall until his mother returned. She still hadn't gotten used to the sign language and listened quietly to what Adrian's father had to say. She looked at Adrian's mother for a moment before Mae took a step forward. "That's okay. I never judge based on appearances anyway." She began making her way up the stairs, excusing herself until she stopped and tottered back down the stairs. She offered a white box from the bag that Mae held to Adrian's mother. "I made some macaroons in my spare time and thought of you. Please have them," she offered, giving the box to the woman with a small smile before trotting back up the stairs. She looked down at the other white box in the bag and tightened her grip on the strap before knocking on Adrian's door. "I'm coming in," she murmured and turned the knob, opening the door to Adrian's room.

Adrian was up, well awake. He wasn't out of bed, but he was still up. He heard the door open and Mae walking in, not trying to hide himself or anything. His eyes were droopy from sleep, and his hair was all over the place. He was calmed down a little, but he still hurt a little inside. "Hey." He said, yawning lightly as he tried to rub the sleep out of his eyes. "Sorry you have to see me like this. I, I kinda planned to sleep all day." He said to her, a small smile on his face, but it fading quickly. He looked down at his bed, feeling so stupid. "I'm pitiful aren't I...." He said, not looking for an answer.
