Sorsha, on the other hand, appeared to be a natural at fishing. She didn't think she could top her deepfish catch, but she was going to try! This time she was using a fishing net, which she tossed into the ocean from Leoth's broad back as she'd seen others do. "You think I'll catch anything this time?" she asked.
I'm quite sure you will, Mine. You have such a natural talent for this! For everything, really. The big gold dragon craned her head around and gently nuzzled her rider.
"Nah, I'm-- whoa!" Sorsha was hauling in her net, which seemed quite a bit heavier than when she'd thrown it in. "Silverfish!" she cried out gleefully as the catch shimmered in the sunlight. "A lot of them! Casgar's gonna be so happy!"

Niviora choked on saltwater, coughing up and spitting into the water as she dragged herself to her feet. Sauzath hwonked, eyes whirling a wild slurry of yellow and white, circling Niviora until she was convinced her rider was, in fact, not dying.

R'thell and green Triesteth Triesteth had wanted to help, and the little green--who was not quite-so-little-anymore--had joined Hers in the water. With her wings stretched out wide, R'thell had used her as a living dock to fish. While he had worried she might scare the fish away, by the time they came to shore he had nothing but full nets and a variety of sea fare.

Your net was torn badly, and is now unusable. Any fish that might have been in the net are long gone, and you're not returning with a net loss of... a net lost! Not only that, but your nose burns, and you're not feeling too great thanks to your half-drown experience. Blegh. Better report the lost net. [-10 points]
If you are a rider with XP points, take your two highest stats. Change that number to negative. You now take that many extra negative points. i.e. (3+5 = 8... you will take -8 on top of whatever you rolled above.) Agility (5) + Between Accuracy (4) = 9 || -9 points
One minute, Nonami had been doing so well, they could feel Negoncath's pride at doing so well for their Weyr, their home.
The next, they were in the water, choking and coughing up saltwater as they tried, almost desperately, to kick and stay above the water. But the net was getting tangled around their feet, and then their legs, and mobility to kick and stay above and get air was getting harder --
I have you! Pale green claws clutched at Nonami almost desperately, and for as calm as Negoncath tried to stay, the panic in her voice was sharp and aching. She was a small green, and it was a bobble of both her paws trying to scoop Nonami out of the water and hold her small rider to her chest. Aversion to water was gone as she managed to get back to shore to deposit her shaking rider.
Oh... Oh that had been terrifying. They clung to Negoncath, not wanting to fully let go of their dragon as they tried to untangle the remains of the net from around their legs. It was rightly ruined by sharp claws, and they'd need to go report it, but all Nonami could do was press their forehead against the warmth of Negoncath's hide and try to not cry for a few moments.

Scavenging the beaches had been more ideal, for Zi'aso had been feeling restless. A walk had been a good cure for it, and while Tiernoth strolled alongside him at a leisure pace, what he hadn't expected to find was some sea wherries. Tiernoth, for all her gentleness, was a quick hunter -- and managed to make quick work of the birds. It might taste a bit like fish, but it wasn't fish!

Determined to fish up something good today, it seemed Cortun's luck only wanted to tease him. The heavy pulling on the line, the flash of a packtail fighting him beneath the water -- all for naught as his line snaps, and the man is sent sprawling backwards. His pride only taking the smallest of dings, Cortun had restrung a new hook and cast back out again -- but his luck was not on his side this week.

You head out with a few others to fish the deeper waters, and lo and behold, you successfully return with noneother than a massive deepfish! It was a fight to catch, but outside of being covered in saltwater and seafoam, you're practically a hero! Deepfish! Deepfish! +20 points
The absolute roar of victory that ripped out of Dystzha as she hauled in the massive fish drew some eyes of those closest to her, but the woman couldn't be bothered to care as she surveyed the gigantic fish. Her muscles absolutely burned, and she struggled to catch her breath as the fish was hauled to the kitchen. But the smile across her face was wide, and she couldn't stop beaming.

His mother had taught him to never waste anything that was in front of him, and the massive gathering of spiderclaws on the beach was certainly no exception. Keeper was quick to help, sweeping down to grab spiderclaws and deposit them in his bucket as the candidate collected them as well.
They had switched to a net after the Boot Incident and were doing quite well until...
Watch out!
A massive wave nearly as tall as O'len threatened to knock him over. Aleyath braced a leg against his rider's back, salvaging their catch as well as preventing His from... you know... drowning.

Odd decided not the chance the water, and instead, walked the lines of the beach until she found the air holes and dug out shellfish, mussels, cockles, clams, all sort of delicious food. She filled up the sack she had with her and brought them back. They were going to be made into delicious soups, and she really did like soups.
Wandering the beaches, you are able to bring back some shellfish, mussels, cockels, and clams. Some might be served raw, while others will be boiled and turned into various chowders and other dishes. Variety is the spice of life, after a + 5
