Ruffling up her hair, Ajicka was pretty sure the two of them were getting the hang of this. Still, she didn't want to wander too far. She moved off, finding something to sit on, and pulling her hair out of it's usual ponytail to brush through it. She didn't really like tending to her hair, but she was lucky; it wasn't that hard to manage. Good genes, or something. She did still have to brush it from time to time, if only to keep small pokemon from trying to take up residence in it, and it was something she could do while tending to other things, like reading, or making sure her pokemon were.... not failing at battling.

Frowning a bit, Ajicka noticed both of her pokemon were taking a bit of a beating. The opponents weren't doing a lot of damage with each hit, but they were getting in a few hits in each battle, so... Finishing with her hair, Ajicka tossed it back up into its usual ponytail, getting it out of her face and out of her way so she could start digging through her backpack. She'd go ahead and start healing them, when they weren't battling. Just use a few basic potions to get the back in order. That did remind her, though, that it wouldn't hurt to try and stock up on healing supplies...

Ajicka gave a whistle to catch Edge's attention and call him back, while nodding to Tynamo to send him forward. She kept her eyes on the battle while pulling Edge from the air onto her knee, making sure the electric pokemon knew what to do, before shifting her attention. Edge seemed like he very much wanted to say something, but either he could tell (or assumed) she wasn't listening, or he thought better of it, because he stayed quiet. She was concentrating on applying the potions, working to get him back to health, while Tynamo got stronger. Hopefully just a little more for each of them....

Ajicka had the pokemon quickly switch places so that she could heal Tynamo back up. That had been a bit of a close call, and she would have to keep it in mind in the future. If neither of them learned a good move, soon... she might have someone else come out to take care of any other Cincinno that appeared. The point of this was to train, after all, and she didn't want to have to use her items, or take a trip back to the pokecenter, just to heal them up, and slow things down. It was a frown that took place on Ajicka's face, as she noticed Edge take quite a few more hits in his battle. Not enough that he needed to be healed, but enough that told her she was.... probably going to need more potions at some point. She closed her eyes so she could roll them without expressing her irritation, before simply going back to reading, and letting Tynamo return to battling as well. Soon.... Just... hopefully soon, this process would be faster, and she wouldn't have to heal them so much....

Ajicka ended up needing to intervene for the last battle, not so much because her pokemon was in trouble, but rather to make it easier. She was familiar enough with Smeargle to know what to do to make it pretty much harmless-- ie, a punching bag. Some might have felt bad about manipulating the pokemon into being useless, but.... she did not. At all. She dropped back once the deed was done and watched the rest of the battle to make sure things went according to plan, but then returned to her book. She was setting into the simple, unfortunate fact that this was probably the best chance to train these two up, for the time being, so she was trying to bunker down and figure out more stuff to do, to take up her time.

Maybe.... maybe she could battle through the majority of this region, get her pokemon strong, and then switch? That seemed like a pretty solid idea. Then she could finish it off once her pokemon were all up to par, and train... Before heading off to the Elite Four. Her brow furrowed and her expression darkened a bit. The Elite Four... there was really no way to know if you were ready to beat them until you challenged them, was there? It was the same with gyms, but the ordeal was a lot more... tasking. Gyms, you had an idea of what you were going into. The Elite Four... you did, but there was so much more to it. She would have to try and start stocking up on items and such, too. Definitely a good idea to get healing items...

Ajicka grimaced a bit when she noticed how worn Edge was, but took a moment to heal him up before moving to work with Eelektrik. Their options were much better, though not as good as its final evolution. Still, she didn't want to jump the gun and evolve it right away, but she was pretty sure she could get a thunderstone back in the city, and she probably wouldn't wait long given the benefits of evolving. She would check with him beforehand, and in the meantime, Edge and him could continue training. Which would go... much faster with him evolved, admittedly....

Weeellll crap. It seemed evolving him immediately probably was the better option. Ajicka didn't have a thunderstone on her, though, so she would have to wait. And... heal Edge. Again. Criminy, she couldn't wait until he had his megastone and powered up moves. He was just taking way too much damage for every battle. She was going to end up running out of potions, at this rate. Luckily, the next pokemon was a Mincinno, and hopefully it wouldn't take too many more after that for him to evolve. Gosh, she hoped that would be the case.... She still didn't know, given he hadn't even made it to his second stage yet.

Ajicka shut off the messenger and glanced up. Edge was facing off with a Smeargle. She sighed, grabbing her things, but keeping her book out. Eelektrik was floating nearby, and seemed either bored, or annoyed-- she couldn't really tell which. She didn't care to find out, either, because she was already feeling both. She flipped through her pages, listening to the battle, and hoping Edge was smart enough to use the last battle against one of these as a sort of... template. Luckily, he... did. Impressively so. She might have just had him use Sand Attack, but he was smart enough to go with Ominous Wind instead. Pretty intelligent, really.

Ajicka nearly missed Edge's evolution. She was engrossed in her book, and assumed he wasn't going to evolve that soon, that if he hadn't squawked at her to pay attention, she might have noticed the glowing light. She did, however, and jerked her head up, watching as it grew, bigger, and bigger, and bigger, before finally fading. Almost immediately, hwoever, it returned, as Edge mega evolved beyond his final form. She smirked, straightening up and putting her book away. "Congratulations, Edge, took you long enough," she remarked, folding her arms over her chest as she watched him examine himself. "Oh come on. You know this was worth it," he cooed, fanning his wings, striking poses and examining his grace. She rolled her eyes, smirking.
"Just don't try and land on my shoulder anymore. Come on, we need to go get you guys healed, and get a thunderstone for Eelektrik. Then it's back to training," she decided, heading back. She'd do some other shopping, too, so she could update both their movesets when they got back. They'd made progress.... but they were far from being done.

Ajicka was able to heal the pokemon up fairly quickly. Next she had to do some shopping, before she could head out, and begin sorting through her options and deciding what to do. Luckily, some of the choices weren't too hard, and by the time they had reached their training location, she had most of it sorted out. She just needed to make sure ot remember to stock up a bit on things for her other pokemon once she got to that point, since she was doing a decent bit of spending, and using, here...
