Inside the café Lysander waited, semi-patiently, for his order to be called. Standing off to the side the man took to leaning back against the counter, his eyes casually roaming the room before he turned back to look out the window at his sister. From what he could tell she was fine, she'd sent out the rest of her team and was allowing them to go about interacting with his Froakie-- which needed a name, now that he thought about it. He wasn't too crazy about the whole nicknaming thing, to him just saying 'Froakie' was more than fine, but Heather had pointed out that giving a pokemon a name would create a bond between pokemon and trainer.
As much as he needed a connection between himself and his starter, as it stood, he didn't have much of an idea for a name; maybe he'd think of one while they ate; which he couldn't actually do until their order came up. Lysander gave a sigh, shifting his weight from his left foot to his right, before he pulled out his messenger and began scrolling idly through it, might as well keep himself entertained until then. Looking through his contacts he stopped when he saw Melody's name, it'd been a while since he'd last talked to her. Might as well change that.

Lysander grunted and looked back down when he received a response to his text, surprised at the speed of its arrival, only to frown as he read over it. Who the hell was Melody hanging out with? Before he could start a response his order number was called and Lysander was forced to return his phone to his pocket, straightening up and pushing off the counter before he moved to collect his tray. Keeping a firm grip, lest he allow the food to go clattering to the floor, he made his way back outside and placed the tray onto the table Heather sat at before he sat down. Almost immediately he took his phone back out and started sending out a text, earning a befuddled look from his sister.
Text to "Melody": I take it she didn't give you the okay to take over texting for her. I'm listed as one of her contacts, aren't I? I'm Lysander. Who are you, and what gives you the right to call yourself amazing?
Although tempted to just demand the phone be given back to its rightful owner, Lysander was more curious to find out who he was dealing with, and after sending the message the man sat back in his chair and looked up. Just in time to catch the look on his sister's face. "Well aren't you the eager Bidoof, I don't think I've ever seen your fingers move that fast," she teased, breaking eye contact so she could begin doling food out to the pokemon. "Who ya texting? Your girlfriend?"
Lysander snorted and held back from replying immediately, instead reaching out to snag his sandwich from off his plate and take a bite from it. "Yup," he answered in-between bites. "Just updating her on our 'journey'."

Heather stared at her brother in suspicion, eyes narrowed to show it, then tilted her head to the side to appraise the expression on his face and his body language; Lysander in the meanwhile took another bite of his sandwich, chewing slowly, and allowed his eyes to follow his sister's movements. "I don't believe you," Heather finally stated, frown on her face. "That's fine. I'm not out to convince you," he quipped coolly, causing his sister to frown even more. Wait, so was he serious? He actually had a girlfriend?
"What's her name, where did you meet her, and why haven't you mentioned her before?" Lysander swallowed and reached out to grab his bottled water before taking a swig of it, all the while wondering how long he should allow this to play out. "Her name's Melody, we meet a few years ago in band camp, and it's just a recent thing. Didn't feel like I should make a big announcement of it, you know." And speaking of Melody, or at least her companion, Lysander looked down at his communicator when he saw that he'd received a text back. He immediately took to reading it over, all the while aware of his sister trying to bore a hole in his head with her stare.
So this kid's name was Fabian? The name sounded familiar, but not because Melody had mentioned it.
Text to "Melody": I'm not being salty, I just wanted to know. But if you're sure she'll be fine with it... Nope, she's never mentioned you. Is that really all that surprising? I don't talk about my friends with her. You sound just like my sister. No, I'm not her boyfriend. Just her friend.
It wasn't as if he actually believed Melody would actually be fine with allowing this Fabian to text her contacts, Lysander just figured he wouldn't get far with 'give Melody back her phone'. Sending the text he looked up to find Heather now pouting, Lillipup-eyes at full force. "Were you ever gonna tell me about her?" she whined. Lysander sighed gently before trying, and failing, to suppress a smirk. "Yeah, I was. Eventually."

Lysander returned to eating, oblivious to Heather's burning gaze. "So." He spoke between his next mouthful. "Are we gonna talk about out plans or what?" Heather heaved a heavy sigh before flopping back, gaining the attention of the pokemon around them, before she folded her arms. "Yeah, I guess so," she concluded with a pout. She still wanted to know more about Lysander's secret girlfriend, but she did have an entire journey to find more about her.
"I think right now we should focus on our pokemon," Heather suggested, her eyes falling to them as she spoke. "They're all rather weak-- no offense guys-- so we should train them and get a few gym badges underneath our belts first; so in other words we focus on the pokemon portion of our journey, then our careers." Lysander only nodded as he listened to Heather's plan, slowly diminishing his sandwich to mere nothingness with each bite. "Sounds good to me," he eventually agreed, pausing in his eating to drink from his soda.
The older male looked down when he received his next text, lifting his wrist back and above the table so that he could both read and start replying. He... he got the feeling that Melody wouldn't be too pleased with these back and forth's whenever she did get her phone back.
Text to "Melody": 'Absolute trust'? You two must've be close then. You should save your tears for real issues, and I doubt Melody would save the contact info of her stalker into her phone. If you wanted to know you could've just asked her, but we met at a band camp a few years back. We've been decent friends since then.
Melody seems fine without a boyfriend, no reason to push one onto her. I'm cute enough, no reason to send a picture for you to confirm that. Why don't you try becoming her boyfriend, if you're so concerned?
This guy, Fabian, was... odd, but so far he was proving to be.. somewhat interesting; it helped that he was friends--or something-- to Melody too; she didn't seem the type to befriend weirdos. Probably. Lysander looked back up at Heather, who once again wore a look of displeasure, then smirked before he reached over and pinched his sister's cheek. "Careful, you're gonna get those wrinkles you're always complaining about," he teased. Heather scoffed, though his comment did get her to chuckle before she gently smacked his hand away.

A silence fell over the Blackwood siblings as Lysander, slipping his phone back into his pocket for now, turned his attention fully to finishing his plate and Heather began to check in with the pokemon. They all seemed to be doing well, or at least from what she could see, Cavatina had made her return back to her high perch after snagging her food and had yet to reappear. At the very least the young girl could hear her pokemon, when she tuned in, munching quietly away at her food.
Heather shifted her gaze to the pokemon that were on the ground, a smile finding its way onto her lips as she observed Cadenza, long since finished, try to teeter his way over to Froakie and Legato for a bit of conversation; he was such a little cutie, going around trying to be friendly~ "Co." Heather was pulled from her fawning by Cavatina's sharp call, the Treecko landing onto the ground before she darted off into the street.
"Cavatina?" The sudden departure had Heather on her feet immediately and she quickly pushed her chair back to give chase, leaving Lysander and the other pokemon to watch her with a mixture of confusion and concern. "Stay here," Lysander mumbled through a mouthful of chips, making sure to finish chewing and swallowing as he followed after his sister. She wasn't moving all that fast, or far even, but the older male made certain to keep her within sight and so when she turned into the entrance of an alley he did the same.
"Heather, what are you--" Approaching his sister Lysander cut short his concerned inquiry when Heather turned to him with her index finger to her lip, indicating he should be quiet. He frowned, but obliged, and relied on his body language and facial expressions to pose his question. Watching him from the corner of her eye Heather gestured to the alley, more specifically a cardboard box, turned onto its side, that Cavatina crouched in front of. Lysander, unable to see just what was being gestured to, took a step forward and squinted at the insides of the box, realization dawning on him when he caught the faint outline of a pokemon. "Oh." Well, that made sense. Frown still there he began to approach the box, slowly and carefully, much to his sister's silent chagrin and frantic waving-- both of which he ignored.
Cavatina turned her head to look back at Lysander before she swiveled back to the box. "Treecko," she murmured softly and then stepped back to give Lysander full view of the pokemon in the box. Making sure to keep his every movement slow and exaggerated he crouched down and peered into the box, inside a ivory Umbreon watched him with wide eyes. Its different coloring throwing him for a loop it took Lysander several seconds of staring to realize the species of the pokemon, and in that time he took note of the odd way the dark-type's back paw lay at an odd angle. It was hurt.

With a few ideas and opinions running through his mind Lysander tried to figure out what to do about the Umbreon, even if he wasn't a pokemon fanatic he still couldn't just leave it knowing it was hurt. Though he meant no harm his boring gaze and stillness unnerved the Umbreon, enough that it began to try and shrink back to make itself smaller. "Oh, woah, hey. Don't move too much." Immediately he reached out to try to stop the canine, only to stop when he realized what he was doing-- leaving his hand in midair. Lysander continued staring out, unsure, then watched as the Umbreon hesitantly stretched out to sniff his hand and afterwards dropped its head to down.
That was a good sign, right? He felt as if it was, considering he hadn't been bitten. "Uh, Cavatina," he turned back to look at the Treecko, who stared at him with cool expectation. "This needs to be looked at, and I imagine we'll need to carry him. So, uh, tell him not to bite me?" He imagined that was a fair enough request, and, considering Cavatina just gave a nod before she reproached the Umbreon, doable. Lysander stepped back to give the two room to converse, and in the process bumped into Heather. He turned around then looked down at his sister, "so, what's going on?" she inquired, stretching over and then moving to the side to try and look past Lysander.
"We're gonna take this Umbreon to the Pokémon Center in Santalune," Lysander informed her, stepping to the side so that Heather could catch a glimpse at the situation. Immediately Heather's eyes widened, "oh... geez." She looked back to Lysander, "I'm going to go collect the rest of our pokemon. You take Cavatina and we'll meet back up at the entrance of the forest." She didn't wait for Lysander to respond before she ran off, taking a right so that she could make her way back to the café.

With Heather gone to collect the rest of their pokemon Lysander turned back to the other two pokemon, their conversation coming to an end. Cavatina looked back to the male and gave a nod before she stepped away from the box to give him access to the Umbreon. Still mindful to keep slow he bent down and stretched his arms out to begin slowly inching the canine out of the box. Umbreon, understanding what needed to be done, began crawling out from the box and stopped in front of Lysander. He bent down to pick it up, careful of its paw, then grunted as he straightened back to his full height.
"Heh, heavy, aren't you?" he huffed right before he began to, gently, adjust the Umbreon in his arms. The Umbreon sniffed and placed its nose in between the crook of his arm. Much heavier than he'd expected Lysander began to move quickly out of the alley, Cavatina following at his heel, then out towards the city's edge where the forest awaited. On his way there he switched between keeping an eye out for Heather and checking in on Umbreon. He proooobably should've just suggested they go to the Pokecenter located in Aquacorde, the town they were in right now, but in his current mindset he figured if they could get to Santalune City the big city PC would have more equipment and better be able to care for the Umbreon.
He was almost to the forest when he saw Heather, a worried expression on her face and Cadenza in her arms; at her feet Amp pounced playfully at Froakie. The siblings' eyes met and Heather fell in beside Lysander, though six steps in she began to have to fast-walk to keep up with the pace Lysander had set. "Well isn't this an exciting start to our adventure!" she puffed. He rolled his eyes in lieu of responding; that was his sister, ever the optimist.

Terrence gripped his bag tighter, as he walked into Aquacorde town. His eyes searched around the area for any possible eggs that might have been lying around. He still had the other boy on his mind, guilt eating away at him. Should he had really left the boy behind like that? He knew that it probably seemed like he ditched him, which in a way he sort of did. He really didn't know how he felt about that at all. He knew it was sort of a d**k move but well, again he didn't want to be a burden. He was sick of feeling like everyone was only hanging out with him out of pity. It was annoying enough as it was. He shook his head, there was no time for him to think about it like this. He should focus on what he set out to do, looking for eggs!

Terrence looked towards his pokemon, and took a deep breath before biting the inside of his cheeks. Ivy didn't seem very interested in what they were doing, and she seemed to wander off. The legendary pokemon seemed to look back at him, giving him a very disappointed look. Terrence looked down at the ground, he knew why the pokemon was giving him that look. It was obvious because she was probably furious with him for leaving like that, especially when she put out so much effort to get the other boy to join him on his journey. Plus she seemed to like the others company, Terrence couldn't look at her. He just felt guilty. He fiddled with his fingers gingerly, trying to put away the guilt he kept feeling. There was no time for that! He needed to search for these eggs, he already left so no choice but to follow through with his decision!

Terrence just let Ivy do as she wanted, it wasn't like she listened to him as it was anyways. Though he hoped that one day she'd finally give him her aid like she promised. Terrence knew that Ivy wouldn't cause trouble for the locals, since she had a pretty good personality and didn't pull pranks like some other pokemon usually did. Plus she seemed pretty knowledgeable to top it off. He turned his attention towards his other pokemon, and looked them over. They were all relatively knew to his team, and so he hoped that this little Easter event would help them all get together and grow closer over time. He smiled softly, "hey guys, were going to take part in an Easter event, I want you all to help me look for these eggs. There's one in this town here, so lets do our best to search for it" he said softly. He heard different cries, and smiled as his pokemon fanned out to look for some eggs. He made sure to let them know that they shouldn't stray too far from him. Az climbed up and perched on his shoulder, patting his heart again "Tree, tre ko ko treeko" he said. Terrence sighed, it seemed like his newest edition to his team refused to leave his side afraid that Terrence's illness might act up again. It seemed like Terrence was under the watchful eye of his new partner.

Terrence watched as Roy seemed to be trotting around, jumping from bush to bush wiggling in and out of them. He smiled at the sight, it seemed like he was having fun at least. That little pup had a lot of energy, Terrence just didn't know how that was possible. Then again there were a lot of things that pokemon could do that humans didn't know about yet. Terrence just wished that Roy would share some of the energy with him. Laughing softly, he turned around to see what Sky was doing. She seemed to be walked around, her head held up high. She did turn her head over towards Roy a few times, and Terrence also noticed the frown that dawned on her face. Dirt seemed to flick up form the ground as Roy searched more. It was obvious that Sky didn't want to get near the dirt, otherwise it might dirty her pretty little coat. In other words Sky didn't seem as willing to get dirty just to look for an egg. Not that Terrence minded, he didn't want to make her do something she didn't want to do. As for Rava, well he was sort of just biting different objects. Again not that it surprised Terrence, it was natural for him to do that. He even bit Terence one time, that part was not fun at all.
Lastly Zeek seemed to be looking around on his own, looking to see if he could find the egg. He seemed like he was more annoyed than anything, considering he gave him a sort of sassy look before moving about the town. Terrence sighed, he just hoped Zeek didn't cause any trouble when he wasn't watching over her.

Terrence turned around, while Az moved his head side to side, looking around the area as well. The group scouted the area rather well, and still saw no signs of any eggs. Ivy was doing whatever she was doing, and his other pokemon were searching diligently as well. He moved his head and stopped, blinking a bit as he noticed that Sky was sitting on something. He tilted his head to the side and walked over. Az curious as well, poked his head over his shoulder, and went to see what exactly the ice-type was doing. After all she was just sitting there doing nothing! Terrence knelt down, before Sky looked over at him with a pleased look. Odd. Terrence heard her yip happily, before he lifted her up gently. He stared at the ground, or at least the ground that was supposed to be there. Az jumped down, circling the object that Aky was sitting on. It seems that Sky was sitting on an egg. An egg! Terrence smiled, kissing Sky's forehead "atta girl! you found it, were you keeping it warm for me?" he asked. He received a few licks from her, before he put her down laughing "guys we found the egg!" he announced happily.
His pokemon ran over, happily looking at the egg that was found. That was one down, there was still fourty-nine eggs let. Oh boy that was a lot, but Terrence was willing to look around for them. With that, he placed the egg away before walking towards the exit "ok guys let go to the next area and look for the next egg" he said. His pokemon nodded, and they went on their way.

Noel and Algernon touched down in Aquacorde Town and the young man smiled a little at the sight. It was a small quaint town, with a sort of sophisticated feel to it. There were buildings with interesting architecture that he was aware was unique to Kalos itself. One such building bore a pokemon center sign and it sort of surprised him. He was used to the buildings standing out on their own but, maybe that was one of those subtle differences between the regions that he’d missed.

Stifling another yawn, Noel followed Sherlock. He really did intend to get a nap in at some point though right now didn’t seem the best time. The Lillipup was already hard at work tracking down the next egg that they needed to find and he didn’t want to throw off his groove. Plus, Aquacorde looked to be a small town so it probably wouldn’t be long before they stumbled across the next egg.
