Though she was by all means there and present, Nova was content to being the casual observer. It was good to see Isis her usual bubbly self, and the two boys Rose had met were nice enough. Their pokemon perhaps a bit hostile to a degree, but nothing that seemed to require immediate attention. If anything happened, the trio of her, Fynx and Atona could've taken care of it anyway, so there wasn't too much to worry about. She politely waited until someone addressed her, munching at the panini she had on her plate with each forkful all the while. A part of her found it odd how humans were fine eating most things with their bare hands, but it was little more than a passing thought as the conversation went about its natural course.
She giggled a bit at the exchange between Atona and Fynx, raised a brow at Theo's interactions with Isis, and watched with full awareness of the situation as Maiku was bitten by his Fennekin. She had to wonder if the azure-clad Delphox had been like this in her previous forms as well. Though her silence certainly mean she wasn't entirely willing to interject if need be. When Atona noticed the bit of malice Theo's Braxien had toward Isis, she offered silently to help out if things did go south. Albeit, in a way that didn't involve someone or something exploding. Last thing the Mega Gardevoir wanted was for Zero to hear something like that happen, lest he come charging in with a full attack squad of pokemon... Though the thought certainly elicited a giggle from Nova, as she offhandedly checked in on her trainer. Still on his own, but it didn't seem like he was getting too depressed again just yet... Perhaps progress wouldn't be so bad after all this after all.

Rose blinked as Isis mentioned that she had met Theo at tanabata. Though, once Theo seemed to... kind of dismiss them awkwardly, the red head cocked her head to the right a bit in confusion. What was even going on? Was this boy just really really shy? Oh no! Did she cause this? Was there too much going on? Before she could question it, Maiku cried out as his fennekin bit him. "Oh my gosh- Maiku! Are you okay? I... I didn't think a fennekin could be so... aggressive..." Rose exclaimed in worry, still hugging the now recovered Flareon. Blaze looked down at Furea. "What kind of pokemon even bites it's own trainer for something like that... how petty." he commented haughtily from Rose's arms. The red head was admittedly a bit uncomfortable after having seen the fennekin lash out at Maiku. Fynx was nothing like that when she was a fennekin.
Fynx couldn't help but catch on that Olivia had some... kind of attitude towards Isis, which distracted Atona from her. The Delphox huffed and pouted as the mega lucario gently pushed away from her. "Hmph. You're paying more attention to that munchkin than me." she grumbled to the old dog. All she did in response to his request for her not to be overdramatic and lie was just to smirk at him, a spark of mischief in her eyes saying that she most likely wouldn't stop. She wanted all the reactions out of this tough cookie, damn it! Fynx moved back to stand just behind Atona, wrapping her furry arms around him. "I'm so much better, so why- what the heck." Fynx was starting to try to get Atona's attention back on her, but was interrupted as Furea had bit Maiku. What a little twerp! Jeeze... the Delphox was starting to feel ashamed at the thought of being from the same lab as them. That little fox was lucky she didn't go over and grab her by the scruff of the neck and give her a good scolding. Fynx knew it wasn't her place, even though she wad certainly concerned. Not only for Maiku putting up with that, but also if the little twerp decided to lash out at anyone else - especially her precious Rose.

✿ ❀ Isis nodded in agreement with Rose when the redhead mentioned that she'd never seen a fenniken be so aggressive. She could understand a pokemon attacking it's trainer when upset with them, but she failed to see what Maiku had done to upset the fennekin. She would have questioned farther, but the headphoned boy seemed rather embarrassed and uncomfortable being the center of attention suddenly, even if the concerns were valid, so Isis just nodded and let it go for now, directing her attention to Theo as he confirmed that he and Isis had met at the Tanabata, vaguely mentioning that he'd been there with Dumuzi and how well she and Isis had gotten along. It was true, Du was a sweetheart, and Isis couldn't help but adore an up and coming contest contender. Isis just wished she could say she and Theo had gotten along just as well. Theo at first had been quiet and kind, a little standoffish, but nothing really bothersome. It just felt like every time Isis or Leon tried to engage in conversation, or invite him to do something with them, it never lasted, or Theo got mad at them, which made it rather hard to get to know or like him. Not that they didn't want to. It probably didn't help that at the end of it all, Dumuzi had seemed to have had enough of Theo's behavior and the group split off under rather sour circumstance. While Isis didn't appreciate Theo's actions or behavior then, that didn't mean she would hold it against him forever. Quite some time had passed since then after all, so she was willing to give him another chance here, and so far he was being rather polite, and so Isis was willing to be friendly and have a nice conversation. He asked if she had heard anything from Dumuzi however, and isis frowned. "Hm, no not recently. She's probably just been busy over the holidays." Isis shrugged. Still, it probably wouldn't hurt to try and give Du a call sometime soon to check in on her little contest star in the making. "Leon's been doing pretty well, as far as I know. Apparently even Fynx was ashamed by the fennekin's aggressive behavior. Atona couldn't help but smirk a bit at her annoyance from getting continually interrupted. It was interesting to see the motherly side of the delphox, while it wasn't apparent on the outside, Atona could feel her urge to grab the fennekin by the scruff of the neck and scold it for its behavior. Rose's face scrunched up in concern for Maiku. His bite was bandaged now, but... if it was a common thing for his starter to bite him... she was worried about what might happen as the little fire fox evolved. "That's no good... starters are supposed to be like friends to their trainers... You seem nice and caring, so i don't understand why she'd do that..." Rose commented. She squeezed Blaze a bit, burying her face in his warm hair fluff atop his head. It seemed Maiku was uncomfortable with all the attention, though. The red head shuffled a bit at the awkward situation before she let her attention move on to Isis and Theo talking.
It was so weird to see how awkward Theo seemed talking with Isis, almost like he wasn't enjoying the reunion. He certainly seemed somewhat uncomfortable. Upon hearing another name in the conversation, Rose couldn't help but jump in. "Oh? Who's Leon? Was that who you were on a date with at Tanabata?" Rose asked rather innocently. His Totodile practically led the way as Gio soon realized that the Water type was trying to make its way back to the train. Giovanni ran up and scooped the Pokemon up. "Wait a sec now little guy. I'm not quite ready to go back to Johto" perhaps he would have to stop by a beach soon so he could watch him light up again, or maybe there was even a fountain close by. Giovanni was stopped though as he saw a television inside of a shop playing a battle with a Gym Leader. It was a replay of an old battle but Gio was a huge fan of the Trainer they were showing. ✿ ❀ Isis nodded along as Rose suggested that starters were supposed to be friends with their trainers. "I agree but.... While starter pokemon are usually trained to be well behaved by the professors... You can't really force a pokemon to love you, even if you treat them well. I mean, they have their own personalities, preferences, and individualism, just like people. They won't all be the same." Isis explained. "That... Doesn't justify anything, or make it okay to haul off and bite someone's hand whenever you please... I'm just saying it's not really all that surprising that this little fireball is more aggressive than what you might have experienced with Fynx." Their attention shifted to Isis' conversation with Theo, since all the attention seemed to be making Maiku uncomfortable. After that, the boy seemed to relax a lot more, commenting that he wished he'd made it to the tanabata. "Aw, you missed it? I'm sorry, that is too bad, but hey, there's always next year, right?" She offered optimistically, but when Rose jumped in to ask about Leon, and Fynx asked if he was "hot", Isis' face flushed with embarrassment. "H-he's uh..... He's my boyfriend...." Isis answered Rose's question, clearly attempting to ignore Fynx's. Theo on the other hand seemed to have no issue answering the delphox's question, and Isis blinked in surprise, not quite sure how to feel about his answer. Leon was her boyfriend after all, so she couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with the idea of other people vying for his affections. Or, maybe Theo was just stating the obvious...? Yeah, now that Isis thought about it, even someone with a totally platonic relationship with Leon could probably admit that he was really good looking...
Arceus, and of course, Isis felt her wrist buzzing in the middle of all of this. Leon must have felt his ears burning. Isis mused, pulling up the communicator to open the message, but first paying attention to Theo as he explained Aston was doing fine, and apparently training in Sinnoh, which meant Theo didn't have him hovering over his shoulder all the time. Isis chuckled. "Yeah, I know how that goes." She agreed, casting a rather obvious glance at Atona. "Are you implying something?" Atona asked in a rather mock accusatory tone. "Huh? Who, me? Nooo.... Never." She grinned, earning an annoyed snort from the steel type as she looked over Leon's text as Theo's attention shifted to answer Maiku's questions about Aston and Dumuzi.

She hoped to arceus none of them were paying attention or trying to read it. While Isis worked on her text, Atona was caught smirking at Fynx's motherly instincts and questioned for it. "Nothing, nothing." He insisted dismissively, though when she asked if he was staring at her aura, he chuckled in response. "Not staring, sensing, which is something that I can't really help. Asking a lucario to stop sensing the aura in their surroundings is like asking you to stop being a fire type." He explained.

After Isis finished typing her response, she sent the text quickly, glancing up just as Theo inquired about Nova, who'd seemed to be taking a bit of a backseat while she enjoyed her panini. Isis would have explained, but when Nova clearly took offense when Theo misjudged her gender, Isis grinned nervously as the mega gardevoir spoke for herself, firs addressing the question of her gender rather passive aggressively before explaining whose pokemon she was. "E-easy Nova... He didn't mean any offense, it's a fair question, I mean... There's no physical differences between male and female gardevoir, so it's quite hard to tell at a glance." Isis defended the boy. "Heck, the fact that he at least asked rather than assuming one way or another just shows that he cares." She insisted. "Also I'm pretty sure he doesn't know who Zero is, so--" Isis suddenly came to a full stop. "Crap. Zero.... Food. I totally lost track of time, my panini's probably cold now...." Isis complained. "Sorry Theo, I'm starving and I'd feel terrible if I kept Zero waiting alone in that cafe, so I should probably head back. It was great to see you again, and good luck with your training!" Rose listened to Isis as she explained how starter pokemon are trained to be well behaved, but that some might have different personalities that don't get along with trainers. It still concerned Rose a bit, but she could kind of understand that fennekin weren't going to all be the same, at least. It was too bad Maiku got one of the not-well-behaved fennekin. Fynx and her were best friends right from the beginning, and she thought that was the norm for all trainers. After making a slightly worried sound against Blaze's fur, she let the topic drop.
Rose giggled a bit as Fynx asked if this Leon guy was hot. Theo said he thought so, and Isis said that Leon was her boyfriend. The red head didn't fully understand what having a boyfriend meant, or what they even did together. She didn't really get what it was about being 'hot' though, either. However, it was kinda funny how red Isis got in the face, especially when she received a text.
"'Nothing', huh?" Fynx commented, eyes narrowed on the lucario. It was definitely something. When she mentioned him staring at her aura, he had a reply. Instead of getting pouty that she wasn't getting much out of him, she turned it around. "Hm. You're right. Why in the world would i want to stop being so HOT~" she grinned, a flicker of a harmless flame leaving her lips.
Rose perked up as Isis remembered Zero was at the cafe. "Oh! That's right~ That's where i was meeting up with you." Rose exclaimed. She had almost forgot! She then turned to smile at the two boys. "It was really nice to meet you, Theo and Maiku! Thank you for not being too upset~ I hope you both have great fun in your journey!" the red head said her farewells before turning to follow Isis back to the cafe, Fynx following with Atona.

While Nova continued to be a bit angry at the idea someone could think she was a man, she absentmindedly reached for her fork again, unfortunately finding she'd eaten everything on her plate already. She frowned, still feeling a bit hungry as Isis tried to cover for Theo. Was she right? Probably, but that didn't stop the Mega Gardevoir from acting surprisingly childish. Fortunately though, Isis and Rose finally remembered they'd forgotten about Zero, and hastily said their goodbyes. Nova decided to go on ahead, hoping she could get her trainer to buy more food before they left.
She briefly wondered if she should've instead stayed with Zero, just so he didn't have to sit alone in the cafe for so long. Alone time seemed less and less like something he needed at least for now. But as she gently pushed open the door to the Shutterbug, she found something rather inconsistent. She'd kept aware of all the people in the cafe after they'd left, keeping tabs on Zero in case he suddenly decided to fly off again. But the entire time, she never sensed the other, silver-haired boy now sitting across from him, a small deck of cards in his hands. In fact... she still didn't despite being in the same room. She couldn't help to feel a little on guard now as she approached, but that feeling softened a little as she recognized who it was.
Machina, if she was remembering right. She'd never actually met the boy, but she at least knew who he was through Zero's memories. But the question of why he was there and how was his presence so... blank, remained at the forefront of her mind. But she returned to the table none the less, Isis, Rose, and the other pokemon now having entered as well. "We're back, Zero."

Giovanni walked inside the shop mesmerized by the Trainer battling on the TV. "Next time on Battle360" drat, Gio was just watching an advert to the real Trainer. He lifted his head to notice he was in a cafe he wasn't very familiar with it. The name of the Cafe was the Shutterbug, a fairly small Cafe tucked up on the side streets. That Gio was pretty sure, if you blinked you would miss.
Lucario was a bit distracted by some of the Auras he was feeling in the air. Where had he felt these ones before? They seemed to be remarkably close so he was sure he would see just who the familiar ones were. Turning his head he realized his Trainer was already inside so he chased after deciding to focus on the Auras later
