Sully, however, was far from happy and a frown could now be seen settled on his visage. It was easy to understand why he was so upset, he'd now lost half of his team to Alexandra but had yet to take out even one of her pokemon. He managed to remain a good sport about it, however, and with a good-natured shake of the head he sent forth his next poekmon, one that the brunette had yet to see. After her pokedex had identified it as Hawlucha, however, a new mixture of flying and fighting Alexandra decided to send out Amethyst, and upon her release the purple cat gave a nod of her head in acknowledgement to Alexandra before she took the field.

"Don't fret your pretty head," the male assured with a lazy wave of the hand, using the other to send out his next pokemon. "I've still got two pokemon left; I can still keep you entertained." He grinned widely, still putting up a brave face, then gestured to the few pokemon Alexandra had on the sidelines. "Go on then, send one of them out." Alexandra simply nodded before she turned a thoughtful look to Caldo, give a nudge of the head to indicate for him to take the field. "Monferno!" with a gleeful cry the fire starter eagerly complied, scampering forward as the fire on his tail flared out.

With Caldo's type advantage the battle was over before it could even begin, the monkey so eager that he'd let loose his attack before he'd even properly gotten onto the field. He jumped from foot to foot and clapped each time the soles of his feet pressed down into the ground. "Heh, you've certainly got an energetic pokemon on your hand," Sully mused. He seemed hesitant to send out his last pokemon perhaps because he knew that their battle was finally drawing to an end. Whatever the case the bright purple-haired male eventually got over it and sent out the last of his team, a Grovyle; his starter maybe?

Alexandra recalled Caldo the moment their battle was concluded and greeted him by running her fingers gently through his tuft of hair, something he enjoyed immensely and cooed to display as much. She smiled gently at this before she looked up at Sully, who managed to offer a smile through his original grimace. "You've got some strong pokemon on you, congratulations," he complimented then returned his fallen Grovyle. "If I had a hat I'd tip it to you." The brunette simply nodded her head, unsure how to respond to the male's other comment save for smiling slightly. "Thank you," she murmured.
"You've got a well-balanced team yourself, very well diverged, I imagine, you'll go far with a bit more training." She returned the compliment and watched as the purple-haired individual broke out into a genuine smile before he bid Alexandra goodbye and headed off to heal his pokemon. Not wanting to risk missing the train she herself resorted to potions, gently spraying each participating pokemon with the bottle until they were all within good health. As an afterthought she switched Xion for Slade, though kept the former out of her pokeball, she was getting a bit too strong and Slade needed training as well.

There was still enough time to get a bit of training in before her train arrived, so it only made sense to take advantage of this opportunity. Though she kept her company down to just Caldo and Xion, on her way back to the train station Alexandra released Comet when she spotted an opponent for the avian-like pokemon. He defeated the Combee with ease and afterwards flew back to roost on Alexandra's shoulder with a cheerful chirp.

The train station was within sight when they were intercepted by a Gulpin, despite knowing better... Alexandra couldn't help but to compare the poekmon with a bean bag, and it was only after she'd removed the image of a bean bag with a gaping mouth out of her head did she send out Amethyst to combat it. The battle wasn't as quick as Comet's did and when the fox returned, limping from her battle, she was suffering from poison. Alexandra frowned gently as she crouched down, gently petting and running her fingers through her short fur. Amethyst gave a mental sigh, unintentionally sharing her mild distress with her trainer, before she pulled back and swished her tail. "I'm fine, honestly, Alexandra," she assured softly. "Let's continue on."

✿ ❀Isis didn't notice the picture that Dumuzi had taken of her during her fit, too busy wrestling Nova's psychic powers and objecting to the use of such suggestive language. She did hear Du giggling in the changing room however, though the reason why was misinterpreted. Isis finally settled down, crossing her arms with a huff, but she outright pouted with she was called a prude. "I'm not a prude! I just... Don't think it's appropriate for a young lady such as yourself to be so... Suggestive." Isis frowned. Leon's little ducklett had evolved into a momma swanna, and it could be heard in her chiding, stern, but gentle tone. Isis only continued to stew however as Du suggested she had only said words, and it was in fact Isis who's mind was just in the gutter. "Hah! Right, and grumpig can fly." Isis rolled her eyes. Du was about as innocent as Yang, but a lot more lovable than the mischievous zorua, which made her all the more dangerous.
The conversation shifted to Dumuzi being a potential model in the future, given that she had the attention of both Isis and Viola. "Absolutely~ I don't know what it is, but my camera seems to love you~" Isis teased with a grin. "Another victim to the cute charm of Dumuzi!" Isis sighed dramatically, smiling as Du suggested that Isis could be her agent. "Oh good, I'm glad you agree because you don't get the option of choosing anyone else for the job." Isis grinned, though it quickly faded away when Du suggested that there were other girls far cuter and more beautiful. "Whaaaat?! No way. Your too adorable for your own good, and you've got spunk and pose, and you can make any outfit work. You can't possibly be beat! Models need to be able to look good in anything, and I think you've got that gift. You should use it!" Isis encouraged. "...Well, if you want to that is." She amended. Obviously if she didn't want to be a model in the first place, then none of it mattered, but Isis just didn't want her to be discouraged or think she wouldn't make the cut.
Soon Dumuzi exited the changing room, clothes in tow as they checked out and made their way uptown to the northern side of Lumiose in search of more shops. Dumuzi inquired where they should go next, and Isis gave a cursory scan of the area, spotting a little boutique with shoes, hats, and other accessories. It was a smaller, specialized store, but a lot of the stuff looked pretty cute, so Isis figured it was worth a shot. Who knew? They might even find something for Nova. "That boutique looks like it has some cute accessories, wanna look there?" She asked Dumuzi curiously.
Atona was quite relieved that Zero at least knew this girl, but that didn't mean he was fully convinced she was an ally, going off of Zero's unease. He and Raja watched the exchange between the two friends with various interest, Atona's a wary interest, Raja's an awed and almost childish one. Atona didn't want to leave, but he supposed they didn't have much of a choice. After all, their aura alone was enough to overpower him, he didn't want to even think about what an actual battle would be like. ✿ ❀

After Andreas’ insistence and his own doubt that he actually had a choice in the matter, Zero followed along behind the older woman, leaving the Pokemon Center well in the distance while they traveled to the northern half of Lumiose. Somehow, the fresh set of clothes made the trip seem pretty quick for the silver-haired trainer, feeling much lighter after finally cleaning himself up. They all made their way past the large clearing in the center, where there was ample space for the bright, looming tower ahead as the roads split off, dividing the city into clear sections. After a shorter walk from there, the professor lead them all to their destination; a small, quaint restaurant, with a handful of stars emblazoned over the front entrance. Serving food on par with any classy establishment, while keeping a more… relaxed atmosphere like the cafes that dotted the city. ”Table for two, please, plus pokemon,” Andreas requested, approaching the waiter who stood behind the podium in front of the door.
”Of course ma’am. Right this way,” he responded, taking a brief moment to take stock of the open tables to find one that would accommodate them nicely. There were plenty to choose from, the typical hour for people to come in for dinner apparently having passed. Ultimately he guided them off to a booth, off in their own little corner, right next to the window if they chose to glance out at the streets beyond. Zero slid in on one side, Andreas on the other, leaving Atona to decide which of the two trainers he’d take a seat beside, though the boy doubted he’d sit with the brunette. Spirit, Andreas' Lucario simply sat on the floor at the foot of the table, crossing his legs over each other and beginning to meditate while the trainers did their thing. ”I will be right back with your menus, and with food for the pokemon.” The waiter gave a short bow, before walking off quietly into the kitchen.
Sure enough, he returned just minutes later, a plastic, laminated menu in either hand, underneath a pair of plates that had the pokemon food on it. A colorful array of poffins with a number of berry slices circling them, and both Raja and Atona were presented with a plate, before the waiter left again to give Zero and Andreas a chance to look over their menus. They sat in silence for a bit, deciding what they were going to order before Zero finally chimed in. ”You know, I didn’t realize you enjoyed eating at places like this,” he commented, his gaze lifting from the plastic and to his old friend, who’d taken off her lab coat and folded it up beside her, freeing the white shirt and vest she wore underneath, complete with a nice, red tie.
”Well what did you expect?” She laughed a bit, looking up from her own menu to meet his gaze. The air was… pleasant, surprisingly, despite how heavy things typically felt around Zero. ”That all I ever do is come home, crash on the couch, and make Machina order me a pizza?”
A small smile, almost sympathetic formed across Zero’s lips. ”Yes, actually. Fine dining just doesn’t seem like your thing, or if nothing else you’d go to a fast food place if you really felt you needed to go out.”
The woman laughed again, shaking her head as she set down the plastic in her hand. ”Please, Z, I’m not that lazy. I gotta eat something nice every now and then. Besides, I may not be a great chef but I at least know how to cook my own food when I need to.”
”Since you can’t pawn that job off to Machina.” He raised the menu and hid the lower half of his face, trying to hide the amused grin that was starting to creep onto his face. Andreas’ eye twitched a bit at this, and her hand balled into a fist in annoyance.
”Hey, I wouldn’t “pawn” it off to him. You know how he is; can barely smell a thing and he can’t even breath if something’s cooking on the stove. He has to stick to the microwave and that little cooker we bought. I can’t be totally reliant on him.” She reached over, trying to hold back her laughter as she pulled his menu down away from him. ”Wipe that grin off your face, you idiot.” The two of them leaned back into their respective seats, covering their faces with one of their hands and keeping their laughter to themselves, trying not to disturb the few other guests that were dining at the same time. After they had a chance to calm themselves, the waiter returned once more, looking for an update on their orders. They seemed to have what they wanted in order, so they asked for their respective meals and drinks, before handing off their menus to the worker, before he disappeared once again.
With that out of the way, now only came the wait for their food; likely wouldn’t be terribly long, odds were there were only a few orders other than theirs for the chefs to cook, but regardless it would take some time, so all they had to do now was wait and chat. Andreas rested her arms on the table, before leaning in a bit over her arms. ”So how’ve you been doing, Z? We really haven’t had a chance to properly talk or sit down like this since you came back, and the last time we got to run into each other it…” Her voice trailed off, and she reclined back into the soft cushions behind her, scratching the side of her head.
”Chose to pick a fight because you felt like proving a point?”
Andreas let out a low groan, turning her head up to the ceiling as she remember the, rather brutal victory she’d held over him. ”Yes, I know, and I’m sorry, okay? I don’t even remember what that point was supposed to be.” Rubbing her temple, she leaned back into her earlier position, but eventually shrugged before continuing. ”When you’re acting stubborn that usually works for getting you to listen, but…”
”I know, Andreas,” he reassured her, excusing what all had happened at the Tanabata. ”I know. I was just… in a bad place at the time. Still am, honestly, but… I’d like to hope I’m making progress.”
The brunette nodded, the conversation starting to get eerily quiet and hushed. ”I see, that’s good…” The two of them sat in silence again, likely searching for the words to break up some of the awkward going on in their conversation. ”...Well, whatever, as long as you don’t do anything rash, I’m sure you’ll pull through in the end.” Andreas gave her friend a crooked, sympathetic smile. ”Just, do me a favor, and don’t go out there and lose your head. If you ever need any help, you know how to get in touch with me.”
”Right, thanks Andreas.” Not a moment after the exchange, their food finally arrived. Andreas was presented with a nicely prepared steak, with fries complementing the side, with Zero receiving more or less the same meal, having simply gone with what his old friend had chosen rather than testing the waters blindly. After another brief pop into the kitchen, the server came back with their drinks as well; a tall glass of a vanilla milkshake for the brunette, while Zero had his prepared with orange sherbert, small glasses of water also having been provided for when they ran out. A quick passing of the ketchup bottle between the two, and they got down to chowing down on their food. Zero hadn’t even realized just the extent of his hunger until he actually started eating, the steak disappearing within the first few minutes and the fries soon following, though their numbers made it take much longer. Still, the events earlier in the day still left him with a deep hunger, and before long the waiter had to bring them an extra helping of the complimentary bread, before he finally found himself full as he finished up his milkshake.
The two of them reclined back again after that, quietly letting their food sit as it settled in and helped get the silver-haired boy his energy back. After a few minutes though, the waiter returned once more, setting down the bill for the two to pay as soon as they were ready to leave. Though, while they waited till they both were ready to head back out onto the streets of Lumiose, Zero reinitiated conversation, posing his old friend a question he’d been meaning to ask for some time. ”So, I’m curious Andreas; Why did you quit the league challenges? You probably could’ve taken on any group of Elite Four no problem.”
”Mm,” Andreas raised one of her fingers, resting it over her closed eye. ”Why don’t you take a guess, you two. Why would I stop tackling the numerous gym leaders, and instead dedicate myself to the sciences?” She looked between Zero and Atona, waiting to hear both of their answers.
Nova let out an audible sigh as she finally was able to let Isis go, rubbing her head a bit from having to hold the girl back. Not that she didn't exactly sympathize--her own face was quite flush from unintentionally viewing both of her companions' mental images of Du's comment, as well as her own. Still, things seemed to quiet down quick enough, and before long the three of them were off again to the next store. As the three of them made their way into North Lumiose and began scanning the area for their next stop, the blond reporter pointed out a quaint little shop that clearly didn't have as wide a selection, but functioned to sell a specific type of products. "Couldn't hurt," Nova commented, admittedly curious to see what they had inside. She may not have had the same shopping or fashion sense as the other two, but she had to admit, she was curious if she could find anything that she could personally wear.

Her cheeky side was getting more and more on display as she got more and more comfortable with her new and older friends. It had been a while sense she was able to relax and have this much fun with people, and now that Du didn’t have anything to hide from Isis –and by extension, Nova- she was feeling great. Playful and mischievous, Du was starting to really have some fun, when Isis insisted that she was a purely innocent mind Du stifled a giggle before giving her a deadpanned look accompanied by a smile that almost reached both of her ears. ”Careful with that statement, my dear Isis, Trainers find ways to teach their pokemon the strangest movesets… and I’m more than willing to take photographic evidence of it when I see it.” Du playfully poked Isis in the side and looked up with innocent eyes and batted her eyelashes at the seemingly irate blonde. Though it didn’t take long for the subject to move back to Du’s potential modeling career. Du gave a smirk in amusement and closed her eyes. ”If you want to send my photo to modeling agencies, Isis, then you go right ahead. I won’t stop you if that’s what you want to do.” Honestly, Du really didn’t see anything coming of it, to be honest. There were far more girls and guys out there that Du felt had far more talent and natural glamour than she did, though if Isis thought that she was cute out for something like this then she wouldn’t stop her. Who knew? Maybe she might even get a little adventure out of it or something before they let her go and moved on to prettier and more deserving girls. When Isis pointed out the next shop to go into, Du smiled and gave a nod. ”Sure! I need some Shoes anyway, my sneakers just don’t go with any of the outfits I got today. I can’t be fashionable if my feet say ‘whatever…’ Du walked into the store and started to look around, slow but surely starting to narrow down some selections for her feet while keeping her newer wardrobe in mind as well, she tried to find some shoes that were going to go well with multiple outfits so she didn’t have to drag so many shoes behind her while she was moving from place to place. Eventually she narrowed down some fashionable, functional shoes for herself and started to move around to the other parts of the store to see what they had. In some of the display cases near the cash, there were a few odds and ends with some jewelry and Du couldn’t help herself as she leaned in to take a look, there were earrings there that caught her attention as well as some chokers that Du started to fall in love with. Du always did love seeing chokers, there was just something so elegant and lady like to them, even when they weren’t ‘in fashion’ anymore, Du still adored them to no end. ”Excuse me, Miss, may I try on that choker there?” Du asked, pointing to a choker with a dangling gem that Du couldn’t identify, it looked like she could remove it and add other charms to the space as well. The cashier took out the choker and Du tried it on and looked in the mirror. She loved it immediately and she started to turn and pose a little in the mirror. Unbeknownst to her, though, those mysterious little stones that she found earlier while coming here started to glow and react, causing a faint light to shine through the material of her backpack.

✿ ❀Isis was growing more and more unamused as Dumuzi continued her antics with a mocking cheer. It was all in fun, but Isis ground her teeth together, feeling like Nova was going to need to hold her down through another fit if she didn't do anything. "If you're gonna be r-u-d-e, I can leave and you can go shopping yourself ya'know." Isis stuck her tongue out. She didn't really mean it, but it was tempting, in a sort of sell your sister sort of way. Two could play at the cheeky game. Isis snorted when Du suggested that there probably was a flying grumpig somewhere in the world, and that she should be careful with her choice of statement. Isis looked down at Du's fluttering eyelids and sighed, chuckling. "Fine, fair point. You're about as innocent as my Zorua then. Which is to say, not at all." Isis suggested with a smirk, ruffling Du's hair.
When Du suggested that she wouldn't stop Isis from sending her pictures to a modeling agency, Isis frowned slightly. "Well I would like to do that, but not if you don't want me to. If you're just tolerating me giving over some photos, it wouldn't sit right with me. This should be your choice, not mine." Isis explained. As they walked through the city, Du inquired which store they should try next, and Isis suggested a small boutique nearby. Nova didn't have any objections, and Du needed some shoes to go with her new outfits, so it was decided that the store needed at least a look through. "Yes yes, shoes are just as important as the clothing choices to pull together the whole outfit." Isis agreed with Du's assessment, happily entering the shop and taking a look around. She helped Du narrow down a few of the shoe choices and looked over some of the jewelry selection a little ways away from the younger girl, but when Du asked to see a particular choker, Isis made her way over to investigate. "Whatcha find there Du--" Isis started to ask as Dumuzi posed in front of the mirror, but when her backpack began to glow, Isis had a good idea what the chocker was. "Woah! You found a keystone!" She asked, turning Du around to get a better look. "And by the looks of your backpack, you have a few megastones too." She grinned, wondering if the coordinator in the making even knew.
As the visit from Andreas went on, Zero's unease seemed to fade, and the deep run friendship between the two became quite clear. It had been hard to discern at first through his usual means, given Andreas and her lucario's blinding auras, but in dulling his aura and psychic senses, their connection was clear just by listening and watching them talk. At first he had been standing by their table, watching with arms crossed, but eventually he turned his attention to Spirit, who had begun meditating at the foot of the table. Since Zero seemed relatively safe, Atona took a seat by spirit, glancing over him appraisingly. "Mind if I join you...?" He asked nonchalantly. Raja on the other hand, fearlessly hopped up onto Andreas' side of the booth, sitting there with an excited look in her eye. Really she was just mimicking what Zero and Andreas were doing, because that was what seemed to be what people did at this place. Well, except for lucario, but she wanted to be like the people! She looked excitedly between Andreas and Zero as they conversed, and Atona had only been vaguely listening to their conversation after sitting next to Spirit, but it was enough to know when Andreas indicated him, and know what she was asking. "I'm assuming if you know there won't be a challenge, there's no point in doing it. Things that come easily aren't very interesting or worthwhile." Atona suggested vaguely, his eyes still closed. "Because you liked science better?" Raja offered, unaware that she wasn't really being asked, but happy to give her opinion anyways. Really she was just bubbling over to ask Andreas and spirit all sorts of questions, but she waited her turn patiently. It was rude to interrupt after all. As food started coming though she licked her lips and looked to Zero. "Where does the food come from? Where can I get some? Do they have fish? Preferably frozen?" Her tail thumped the booth couch rhythmically in excitement. ✿ ❀

A Furfrou was quick to take the Gulpin's place soon after its defeat, teeth bared and hackles raised. Alexandra pursed her lips in concern then acted quickly, returning Amethyst to her pokeball before she flicked out her pokedex, scanning the hostile pokemon and confirming it to be a normal-type before she sent Caldo out. "Use Mach Punch," she commanded, figuring that they'd try and do as much damage as possible before the canine-like pokemon could attack. Caldo nodded before he moved in close to throw a fist into the side of the Furfrou, though unable to get past the pokemon's thick fur his attack did less damage than it could've. Unfortunately, that would be the only time Caldo would get an attack in, as the Furfrou retaliated with a bite fierce enough to cause him to flinch, and then several headbutts that had the same reaction. The monkey-like pokemon was on his last leg when one of the headbutts failed to cause him to flinch, but unwilling to allow her pokemon Alexandra recalled him.
As Caldo began to toddle off the field, whimpering, the Furfrou tried to attack him once more, head lowered to give him yet another Headbutt. Before that could happen, however, Alexandra sent out Slade to intercept the pokemon, his reaction time keen enough that, when he began to phase through the canine, he greeted it with a sharp punch to the jaw, the attack sending it back though, once again, it was protected from the brunt of the move by its fur. Once Caldo had made it safely off the field he made straight for Alexandra, giving his most pitiful pout and lifting his arms in a clear indication that he wanted to be picked up. The brunette gave a soft sigh before she gave in and picked him up slowly, grunting as she lifted him off the ground; he had gone through enough, the least she could do was oblige him until they could get to a pokecenter, at the very least he wasn't too heavy.
Turning her attention back to the battle Alexandra frowned when she noticed that, just like Caldo, Slade had fallen victim to bite's added effect and had flinched. She quickly recalled him and, in her haste to get another pokemon out onto the field, ultimately sent out Aphrodite. The haughty Milotic was given a rude greeting as she found teeth sinking into her flank and, with an outraged cry, she summoned up a strong pule of water to send the Furfrou back a few feet. As the other recovered from its bath Aphrodite sent a scalding glare in the direction of her 'trainer', steam practically pouring from her expression. Before she could retreat, or subject her trainer to the same 'treat' she had for the Furfrou, her opponent managed to regain its senses long enough to thrust its head roughly into her side, in the same spot she'd been bitten in, no less. Aphrodite slammed her tail down onto the ground in both anger and pain before she sent forth another attack, waterlogging the canine and forcing it into a drenched retreat.

Aphrodite's sides heaved as she panted, her narrowed eyes watching the Furfrou retreat. She could've shown that her last attack had actually caused a bit of confusion but... before she could finish the thought the Furfrou gave a yelp as it sharply veered to the left and fell against a trash can, knocking the metal cylinder over and onto its body. Amused at the sight the fire in her eyes lost a portion of its intensity, just in time for Alexandra to approach her and relight the flames. The brunette held a rather... passive expression as she looked up at her Milotic, Caldo lifting his face from off his trainer's shoulder to fix Aphrodite with yet another pout, he'd still yet to recover from his own run-in with the white-furred devil.
"Thank you, Aphrodite." The first words out of the girl's mouth were.. grateful, startled by this Aphrodite reared back softly with a gently contorted expression. Alexandra looked at her pokemon oddly.. was.. was she not used to being thanked? Deciding against verbalizing the question the brunette, instead, reached a hand out to pet Aphrodite, only to have the water serpent recoil and recompose herself, giving her trainer her usual uppity look; it was obvious that she didn't view the brunette as 'worthy' enough to even touch her. Despite this, Alexandra managed to put on a smile as she dropped a hand and picked up her pokemon's pokeball. "I won't touch you then, if that's what you'd like. But, at least let me return you so that I can get you healed." Aphrodite considered this before conceding, sniffing haughtily before a red light surrounded her body and she was returned to her ball.
Alexandra sighed softly afterwards, shifting and adjusting Caldo in her arms, careful of his tail, before she turned to look at Xion. "Come along, we're headed off to the Pokecenter." Xion gave an uncertain murmur of agreement, left wary after the battle and... interaction with Aphrodite, then began to tromp after her trainer towards the pokecenter. Alexandra was quick to have all her injured pokemon healed--though it took a full two minutes to remove Caldo from her person--and afterwards she walked back out into the city, Caldo now grumbling as he walked by her side.
