"I'll make sure you do, I promise." Mala purred, snuggeling herself up close once more while keeping that broad grin on her lips.
Eventually, Larai grew bored of watching the water ripple and being alone with her thoughts. Her mind wandered to her brother, making her wonder where he might currently be at.

"Well you haven't let me down yet, so I don't doubt it." Van said with a grin as he wrapped his arms around her to hold her close.
((That may be interpreted as you see fit. XD And I gots an idea, but it'll wait 'til Larai goes back to Daemon at some point. >D This time Kai should be the worried one. Kai: *hides partway behind parents* >->))

((Timeskippy now. biggrin ))
"Larai, do you have any idea where your brother went? He still hasn't come back yet..." Van said as he watched out the window while he made dinner. The sun was starting to go down and still no sign of Kai.
((Obvious twist should be obvious now. XD ))

"May I go look for him?" Larai asked, looking just as concerned as her father. "I haven't seen him, but I know plenty of his 'secret' hideouts. He shouldn't be hard for me to find."

"If I don't return in an hour or so, you and mommy could come find me easilly." Larai said, smiling slightly up at Van now. "With mommy's magic and your athletic prowess, we'll be just fine~"

Mala looked just as unsure.
"Mommy can always put some tracker magic on me or something and if I don't return in the time given you won't even need to look for me. You can just follow the magical pulse and I'll be there!"

"Thank you, honey. We'll be back before long." Mala assured Van, going off afterwards into the ruins of Atalus in search of Kai.
Larai was silent as she walked with her mother. She couldn't help but notice that they were near Daemon's hiding spot. She bit her lip, desperately hoping that Kai wasn't hiding in there.
