Unfortunately, Jay wasn't really in the mood for Sebastian's joke at the moment. In fact, he wasn't really in the mood for any jokes at the moment. As such, he remained quiet on the walk over, and audibly groaned at the gym leader's pun, before shuffling around for a pokeball. He released Tria, leaning back on her with one arm up to help him keep his balance and avoid putting too much horizontal pressure on her that might make her lose her balance. The other hand lifted to press his fingers to his temples, an unpleasant frown still on his face. Perhaps he should have accepted Sebastian's offer to try and find another way to the gym leader. But, oh well. Too late now. Best listen to the battle, try and get an idea of what he was up against, and take the time to get his bearings.
Scratching the back of his neck, he nodded to himself as he listened to the battle conclude, smiling. Even from his point of view, he could tell Sebastian had clearly won. It had sounded like a good battle, and even from where he and Tria stood, they could feel the earth shaking from some of the attacks. He pushed himself up when Sebastian came over, nodding while Tria gave a little, low whinny in greeting of Sebastian. "Yeah ahm alrigh'. Still uh li'l off, but... should be fine," he answered. A smile finally crossed his face at his friend's encouragement, and he lifted Tria's pokeball up to recall her. "Heh, thanks. Hearin' yew go first akshully gives me uh good idear've what ta expect, too," he replied back, with shaky playfulness. His mood seemed to be on the uprise, at least.
He walked over toward where he'd heard Sebastian standing before, lifting his head as the gym leader returned, keeping one hand at his belt while the other hung by his side. "No offense, ma'am," he started, unhooking Mimey's pokeball and lifting it up, "But ahm hopin' ta get this over with quick." Fresh air was sounding rather good right about then, not to mention... getting away from the rollercoasters.

Elesa felt the left corner of her mouth twitch up into a smirk, even as she recalled her defeated Zebstrika, for the second time; as promised the ginger cowboy had made their battle quick. "Congratulations, you show a great understanding in type match-up." Instantly moving into the usual 'humble gym leader spiel' the model sashayed her way over to Jay, though rather than hold out her badge she slipped both it and his TM into his hands. "The Bolt badge and TM Volt Switch," she explained afterwards, stepping back to return some space between them. "You've certainly earned both."
Jay Received: - Bolt Badge - TM #72 Volt Switch +90 exp split between Mimey and Mary Lee!
The next morning Huey was forced to wake up by his sister, the older woman insisting and just generally pestering him until he relented and popped out from underneath the covers. His hair stuck up in several different areas and at the corner of his mouth was a line of dried drool, but he was awake-- somewhat. Yawning Huey pulled himself out of the bed and dug around his bag for the change of clothes he'd wear for the day, afterwards shuffling into the bathroom to change. It took him a while, about ten minutes to be exact, but eventually he left the bathroom looking far more presentable than he had before: he'd combed his hair, washed his face and put on his clothes, the correct way this time.
Angelia smirked, proud to see that Huey had actually put his clothes on right, before she moved into the bathroom to change herself. While he waited for his sister Huey went about returning his clothes and getting ready to leave, which involved moving about the room and making sure he hadn't left anything out of his bag and might potentially forget. By the time he'd finished that Angelia had returned from the bathroom and together the two made their way down to the cafeteria for a quick breakfast.
"I'm going back to Goldenrod today," Angelia confessed over her muffin, causing Huey to look up from his cereal with his spoon still in his mouth. "Wheally?" he mumbled around the silverware, though immediately removed it from his mouth upon receiving a look. "Really?" he tried again, spoon back in its bowl. "Mhm. I just wanted to make sure you were getting along fine and that you got to whatever town you were headed to after this safely." Huey nodded, his sister's words warming him just a bit. It was always nice to know that his family cared for him. "Okay. Before you go could I have you take a few pokemon to Andrew?" Angelia raised an eyebrow but nodded nonetheless. She returned to her muffin, finishing the pastry off in ravenous bites before she brushed her mouth off with a napkin. Angelia waited until Huey had finished his breakfast before she grabbed both their trays. "Go ahead and grab the pokemon you want me to give to Andrew. We'll meet up in the lobby."

Huey gave a nod, at the same time resisting the urge to wipe his mouth with the sleeve of his shirt for fear of scolding, before hurrying out of the cafeteria to head into the lobby, his backpack thumping against his backside the entire time. Upon arriving Huey made certain to greet Nurse Joy, though at the sight of her smiling face he was reminded of the fact that he still held within his possession his room key. Mirroring the pinkette's cheerful disposition the young boy slid his key back across the counter with a quick 'thank you' before he meandered over to the PC.
"I'm going to be sending you and Emolga to stay with my brother," Huey explained as he logged in, a bit of pride swelling up initially when he discovered he no longer needed to stretch up onto his tiptoes to view the screen; slowly but surely he was growing! "Emolga will be more comfortable there and ought to make a full recovery, you'll both be well taken care of." As he explained this all to the, ever silent, Klefki Huey also worked on extracting the four pokemon he'd slipped into the PC earlier. He wasn't too much of a fan of the idea of keeping his pokemon locked away into a sort of digital jail, though admittedly he knew little to nothing about the PC or how it truly worked; at the end of the day, he just felt better knowing that his pokemon were being cared for by an 'expert' and getting the exercise they needed rather than just sitting around inside of a computer.
"You got 'em all?" Huey had just finished logging out, four shrunken pokeballs in his hands, when Angelia spoke up from behind him, startling the young boy and causing him to jump up. "Heh, sorry." The redhead offered an apology, though her laugh managed to diminish its sincerity a tad. "Those the four you want me to take to Andrew?" she questioned, shooting a quizzical look down at the capsules Huey held, all while he tried to recompose himself. "Mhm. Them and this one here too." After handing his sister the first four Huey snapped Emolga's pokeball from off his belt loop, pausing just long enough to look and turn over the capture device gently before he handed it off. "In it is an Emolga, it's recovering from an attack by a Skarmory," Huey explained, and from the corner of his eye he watched Klefki silently shift over to Angelia's side. "Nurse Joy said it'd be fine, as long as it didn't exert itself or try flying for a few more weeks.
"That's its friend, Klefki. He goes wherever Emolga goes." Huey waited a few seconds, giving Angelia the chance to process the information she'd been given, but gradually his attention shifted over to Klefki. "You take good care of yourself, alright?" A gaze which had been originally situated on their surroundings refocused and shifted over to the young boy as he spoke, and for several long seconds Klefki held Huey's gaze before, finally, giving a nod of acknowledgement.
Angelia took a few more seconds, most likely memorizing all she would need to tell Andrew when she returned home, before spurring into action. With a smile she ruffled Huey's hair, only to straighten it back out, and with a stretch she promised to deliver both Huey's pokemon and his message to their brother. With this done, and nothing else to do, the siblings exited the Pokecenter together but once outside the two parted ways, Huey stopping just long enough to wave at his sister and wish her safe travels before he turned away and began to make for the next town.

Jay gave a wry sort of smile at the congratulatory comment. "Basically, ahm good at cheap shots. Ah getcha," he joked back. He lifted his head as he heard her come closer, waiting till she was near before lifting a hand. He raised his eyebrows as she actually placed the items in it, but smiled, honestly a bit grateful. It avoided some of the... awkwardness that could come with these sorts of moments. "... Thank yeh. 'Ppreciate it. Hope yer pok'mon can get uh good rest now," he remarked gratefully. Tucking the items away, he stepped back, turning to listen towards Sebastian, and then addressing him. "Alright, Sebastian, whaddaya say we go get our pok'mon healed 'n look inta movin' on?" he suggested.

Sebastian grinned as Jay completed his own battle, hands clapping giving a brief clap as congratulations. "Nice job Jay, congrats!" He remarked, dropping his hands back down to his sides. At the mention of heading off and getting their pokemon healed, he ‘hm’ed and nodded absently. "Sure, sounds good!" He glanced back and seemed to recall something. Before he could turn and address it though, Elesa was gone and the coaster cart was rolling up once more to take them out the gym. He grimaced a little, rubbing the back of his neck and sighing. "Looks like we’re taking… another coaster ride." These gym leader’s really had to be over the top didn’t they? Oh well. Sebastian buckled down for the ride once more, glancing at Jay before the ride launched out again.
Once the ride was over –again- and people were hopefully not vomiting, Sebastian hauled himself off in the direction of the pokemon center. "You holding up okay Jay? I know a double trip on a rollercoaster isn’t always easy." Sebastian inquired a little bit into their walking. He was rather concerned for his friend on this; he hadn’t enjoyed it the first time after all and being forced to go on it again probably…. Probably didn’t make things better.
Eventually they got to the center and inside as well, Sebastian handing over Dice and Roulette’s balls for healing before stepping off to the side. He pulled out his Pokegear to check it out, curious on the next gym destination. He was feeling proactive today and was honestly curious about the next one. It seemed to be in… Driftveil City, which seemed to neighbor close to Nimbasa.
"Hm…," Sebastian murmured, checking over his device while he waited for Nurse Joy to return his team. "It looks like the next gym is just the city over… if we start off now, we might make it there with some daylight to spare." He spoke, straightening up and tucking his Pokegear away as he glanced curiously at Jay. "If you wanted to that is. Could always rest or whatever as well." -

Jay smiled a little at the congratulations. "Hmm, thanks," he remarked back. He frowned at the news that they would be taking another roller coaster, audibly grumbling about it but, ultimately, conceding. He had about the same reaction to it as he did the first time, if not with a bit more venom, and by the time they were making their way to the pokemon center, he was visibly green. But, standing, at least, and not quite sick to his stomach. He muttered-slash-mumbled some very unhappy sounding response that wasn't quite intelligible when Sebastian asked if he was alright, and simply kept walking, letting Tria out again to help guide him, and keep him on his feet.
Once they reached the pokecenter, of course, he recalled her, and by then, he seemed at least.... a bit better. He handed over his pokemon and leaned against the nearest solid object to take a moment to get his stomach still, listening as Sebastian mused over their plans. "Mm, headin' out sounds good. If'n we can get two gyms done today, ah'd be happy. Driftveil, right? Think it's got uh... ground type gym, if'n ah remember right?" he mused.

Silently grateful that Jay seemed to be in better moods now, Sebastian nodded as the cowboy added his own input on the idea. It would be pretty good to knock out two gyms in a single day like he said and getting moving was the quickest way to assure they achieved that. "Alright, sounds good!" He chimed with a grin. At the inquiry he quirked an eyebrow and had to think a moment.
"I believe so… hm…," Did he have anything really suited for going up against a ground-type gym? He knew water was one of the better types to use, though the only water types he had on him where fairly weak.
Sebastian took the moment to check over his team as he tried to think. He had the Wartortle and that Totodile he’d gotten from Apollo… but he hadn’t had a chance to really train them up or anything which was rather a shame. There was also that Shellder he’d caught during his little errand. But that was fairly weak to-
"What the…," He murmured, tone confused as he recounted. A second later he was rummaging through his bag frantically, expression going from confused to exasperated. "Damnit! Did I lose… no way…," Where was his Shellder’s pokeball? It was gone! He was pretty darn sure he’d had it with him the entire time. Had it like… disappeared to the PC or something?
"I’ll be right back Jay, I have to check something." He quickly remarked, stepping away and heading to the PC to check. In a few minutes though he was back, clearly frazzled. He took his pokemon back as Nurse Joy, mumbling his ‘thank you’ as he tried to think. "… We can… we can get going whenever you’re ready." He remarked to Jay absently, glancing back and already retracing his steps back towards the door as he tried to recall at what point he might’ve misplaced his pokemon. How’d he manage to mess up this time?

Jay quirked an eyebrow when Sebastian seemed thoughtful. "What's wrong?" he asked, before grinning a bit, "Ain't got no water types on ya?" Thinking about it, he couldn't recall, off the top of his head, any water types with Sebastian. Then again, he only really knew a few of them. At least he had a few grass types, though, right? Depending on what the gym leader had, that was almost as good. His brow furrowed, though, when he heard confusion of another kind in his friend's voice, shortly followed by frustration.
"What's wrong? Sebastian, everythin' alright?" he asked. He paused when his friend excused himself, but settled back a bit. "Al... righ'...." he muttered, though Sebastian might have been too far to hear him by that time. He waited until Sebastian returned, retrieving his pokemon in the meantime, and pushed himself up when he did. "Yew sure? What happened? Ya sounded frustrated 'r somethin'," he remarked, concerned. He wanted to get going on to the next trip, but... he didn't want to rush if something was going on. Sebastian seemed bothered by... whatever this was.

Sebastian was so lost in his concerns and trying to pinpoint at what time he’d last remembered having his Shellder that he all but ignored Jay’s inquiries. Not that he was trying to be rude or anything, but he’d dealt enough with losing pokemon and the thought that, yet again he had lost one just didn’t set well with him. At the second set of questions of course he at least snapped back to attention. "O-oh… sorry." He apologized, shifting and once more searching through his bag to try and make sure he hadn’t over looked anything.
"It’s just…," Sebastian sighed and stopped in what was ultimately a futile attempt at searching. It wasn’t there and in his gut of guts, he knew it. Instead he took a free hand and swiped it back through his bangs in frustration. "I… I can’t find the Shellder I caught. I know I had it with me but… it’s gone." He replied, tone pretty much downtrodden at this point. At least when his other pokemon wandered off, he could find them, but in this case there was no ball, no pokemon or anything for him to try and locate. Taking a moment to think he conceded to just inquiring to the Nurse Joy about lost pokemon, checking over that directory and when he saw nothing that sounded like his pokemon, left his information in the hopes that it would turn up. This was… kind of a bummer. A proper one.
"Sorry Jay, let’s just… let’s just get moving okay? " No point holding them up over something like this. Sebastian honestly hoped he’d hear word soon about it if anything came up; he liked that Shellder. With a sigh he started for the door and back out to the streets, grudgingly pulling out his Pokegear to get an idea of which way they needed to head off too before stowing it away and slowly heading off in the direction of the correct route gate. "Better to get the gyms out the way while we can and all, right?"

Jay was concerned and confused, but he lifted his head as Sebastian explained. "Ah see.... ya don' think someone might've gotten it back at thuh fair, d'yew...?" he worried. It was the first thing that came to mind-- those people were out to steal people's pokemon, after all. Of course, Jay didn't know he was missing a pokemon yet, either, but... that was completely different. And had been the situation for much, much longer. In a way, Sebastian's was more worrying, even then, because there was no telling where the Shellder might have ended up-- or even been lost in the first place.
Jay hesitated a bit when Sebastian insisted on moving forward, but yielded after a moment. "Mm, alrigh'... if'n yer sure..." he conceded. He rubbed a hand over his neck and moved to follow Sebastian, his eyes closed as he walked. "Yeah, might as well... Yew said it weren't too far, right? Ah was thinkin've maybe hitchin' uh ride from Tria. Sure she could carry both've us if yer int'rested, but if it ain't too far..." Maybe he was just being lazy. He couldn't really tell what time it was, but it felt like it was getting a little later in the day. Hopefully after they defeated this next gym, they could turn in for the evening, and get some rest for the next day of gym battles.

Upon landing, Ajicka quickly made her way towards the tall grass just outside the city. Sure, sure, Nimbasa was a site to see, but she had stuff to do, and she wasn't really the sort to admire that kind of thing, unfortunately. Especially not when she was tunnel visioning like she was. This was only the fourth gym leader, but this was where things usually started getting a little more difficult. Honestly, none of the pokemon she was going to be training would be vital for the battle, so... she could probably just do a little training here, battle, and then train more on the way. The hardest part would be Tynamo, who has a very.... limited moveset at the moment....

Nevertheless, she was determined to get him trained. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long to get him to evolve, and, if anything, that was just a good goal to set. And in the meantime, she could train Edge whenever the opportunity arose as well. She brushed a hand back through her hair and released her pokemon, then promptly folded her arms over her chest. Tynamo appeared to look back at her-- perhaps because he was expecting some instruction. That wasn't quite how she worked, though. If he needed it, she'd give it to him, but... she was curious to see how he did on his own. Or rather, what he did on his own-- to gauge his independence level. And when another pokemon appeared, and he looked back at him again, she started to think that perhaps it wasn't too high. However, after a long moment, just when she was about to drop her arms and give instruction to attack-- he turned back around, and struck out at the poisonous pokemon.

A Gothita appeared next, and this time, Ajicka gave a jerk of her head to Edge. The two fo them were around the same level, and honestly, she needed both of them to evolve. Edge's megastone -- albeit obtained through irritating means -- would become more useful if he could just evolve (why he hadn't, at least to his second stage, she didn't know, but it had better not be due to lack of strength or they were doomed). Tynamo, on the other hand, just achieved a much greater movepool upon evolving. And honestly, both of those were pretty much needed, especially for upcoming battles.

Ajicka raised her eyebrows a bit as Edge finished off his opponent, smirking when she caught him glancing back at her. She seriously considered giving no reaction, but, sliding her gaze away, she gave a slight, approving nod. She had the feeling he hadn't intended for her to see that he was looking, so she didn't make eye contact, but.... it was good to know he was able to take these on pretty much by himself. The next pokemon to appear was a harder choice, however... and ultimately, she sent Tynamo forward to take it out. She had to give him a bit more direction, but... ultimately it went pretty much the same as the previous. They would likely have to keep this up for a while, but.... hopefully it wouldn't be too long before they each reached their 'quota', so to speak.
