-]Before leaving the center, Cerbera made one more adjustment to her party on the whim of deciding to give Yuki a shot to prove herself. It was an odd pokemon, for sure, and Berrie didn't fully grasp how to use her yet, so better to try the icy blue Haunter out sooner rather than later. With the adjustment finished, and Quill safely stored away to look after the others, Berrie scooped Feng up onto her shoulder once more and headed out the door with her adorable little group. She also made the wise decision to stay on the main roads of the city, rather then let herself get lost in the alleys again. The girl began to make her way down the street, browsing at all the little shops. There were adorable, little cafes, swank boutiques with tons of different stylish outfits...and a quaint little kite store. How odd that there would be a kite shop in a place like this. It made the girl think of the home-made kite she had built back home in Fuchsia. Of course, a single kite, no matter how awesome, was not worth the cost of going home so soon. No, the girl would much rather just build herself a ne- "Oh, hey, I should build myself a kite! You guys have no clue how fun these things are!" she exclaimed, heading into the shop.[-

Alexandra only nodded when her point was made, her focus momentarily shifting back to her current party. She had a rather large amount of pokemon with her at the moment, not that she minded, but with only half her team getting training it would make sense for her to start thinking of leaving her inactive party with her parents, since her mother did run a Pokémon nursery she was used to caring for pokemon; granted they were baby pokemon, but she'd often cared for older and bigger evolutions as well. It'd give her other pokemon a chance to stretch their legs and get out more; speaking of other pokemon, she needed to check on Hinata and Titan, they'd been at the Daycare for quite a bit....
She offered a smile in Marx's direction then nodded in agreement once a plan was, more or less, made. It wouldn't be wise to put off planning out the intricate details of the delivery, but for now they'd just leave it a later date. They were quickly getting to their destination and there was no need to rush the last few details, if needed Alexandra would just call him.
Alexandra looked up in surprise when her hand was grabbed, only to nearly stumble as Marx hastened the pace for both of them. Thankfully the brunette managed to catch herself before she fell on her face, and after regaining her composure she moved as quickly as her legs would allow her, her pace gradually slowing down the closer they grew to the station. "I believe you're right," she mused, hands brushing absently at the front of her cheongsam. "Hm?" Finding herself being hugged, Alexandra had only just registered the affection when Marx pulled away and apologized for his action. "It's fine," she assured him, though she doubted her words had been heard, as a call for departure rang out.
"Safe travels!" she called out and then watched as her friend ran off to catch his train, Xion padding up to her side moments later. Alexandra looked down, noting her pokemon's rather disappointed expression. "I'm sure you'll see your friend again soon, Xion," she assured the mega with a light pat of the head. The Mega Mawile murmured sheepishly before she nodded, convinced, then turned her head to the left sharply at the sound of an approaching pokemon. Alexandra looked up as well and both watched as a Skiddo clopped into view, its appearance earning a coo from the human.
It certainly was an adorable pokemon! And, after scanning it with her pokedex, Alexandra sent out Comet; flying against grass, always a good choice. As cute as the kid-esque pokemon was, it was still a wild pokemon and Comet still needed training.

"Now arriving: North Lumiose City." Sebastian was jostled awake by the announcement over the communications system on the train. On instinct, he tightened his grip around the incubated egg, groggily returning to reality and remembering where he was. Right, he was on the train; he'd taken the opportunity to just nap along the train ride and for the most part, it'd provided him with the rest he'd apparently needed. With a yawn, he got to his feet and hopped off the train, back once more into the vibrant and circular city that was Lumiose. If he recalled correctly, this was the northern section and there was a gate leading out to Coumarine, which was exactly where he needed to head.
With a little nod, he adjusted the egg and started maneuvering his way through the streets. He intended to cut across the middle of the city to get to the entrance and maybe do a little sight seeing along the way. As he approached the massive tower that occupied the center of the town, Sebastian sort of paused a moment to look up at it. It was an impressive piece of architecture... and wasn't it also a gym? He pulled out his PokeGear and did a double check on; it was indeed. For a moment, he considered the option. He could afford to take on another gym... and it was only one. And if he and Jay had to come back through this way, there would be no worrying about stopping; the cowboy had already taken on the gym himself so if Sebastian got it out of the way now, there would be no worries later. His team was pretty strong too. This... would probably be worth while.
He thought about it a moment or so longer before finally nodding to himself. He'd do it. After all, why not? If anything he'd lose and just have to try again in the future. But if he could win now, then it'd be out of the way. It was worth the risk. With that settled, Sebastian took a double look at his team and what information he had on the gym. It was electric if he recalled; Dice would probably do well just from his ground typing alone, but the rest of his team was strong enough to handle the situation without obvious type advantages. That was fine. Assuring everyone was healed up properly, he returned his PokeGear to his bag and made his way for the buildings entrance. He'd give it a go and -hopefully- succeed.

Sebastian was startled upon entering the building. He had expected it to either be more… elegant in its interior design. Either elegant or more… technological. However, what he was met with struck him more as a sort of disco-met-game show floor set up. Lights of various colors lined the walls and lit pathways on the floor. Moving further in, he stumbled across multiple elevator doors, a podium and large screens hanging from the walls. He felt like he’d just stepped into a game show.
Which apparently almost exactly what this was. As he stared blankly wondering exactly where the gym part itself was, a young blonde girl appeared to greet him. She was bubbly and energetic, spazzingly talking about her brother and new challengers and what needed to be done before he could actually challenge Clemont. It reminded Sebastian a bit of his own brother; though Nolan was about 3/4ths less the energy that Bonnie was.
Following the girl along, Sebastian went to work getting up the tower. Which… proved to be semi-difficult. The quizzes involved identifying silhouettes and while he managed to get the first two with pure dumb luck, the last one’s stumped him so badly that he ultimately ended up brute forcing his way through them. That was probably… not the best way to do it, but it had worked all the same. He had to briefly wonder how Jay had managed to get through these quizzes; they weren’t exactly tailored to someone of his situation… Sebastian would have to ask.
For now though, he found himself at the top of the tower, facing off with the young fellow with some crazy contraption on his back, known as Clemont. Introductions had been placed and gym challenge issued. Hopefully this would be easier than all those quizzes…

"You and your pokemon have truly impressed me, as well as managed to defeat me. Because of this, I now present to you the Voltage badge and TM24, Thunderbolt." The young boy introduced each item as he handed them to Sebastian, using the metallic hands on his backpack to do so, rather than his real ones; those he was using to clean the rather thick pair of glasses he wore on his face. When the robotic arms retracted back Clemont looked up and offered a smile, "Congratulations."

Sebastian watched sort of uncertainly as the mechanical robotic hands offered him his winnings. He would’ve offered a handshake if he didn’t have some sneaking suspicion about the over the top technology. Instead, he gingerly took the items giving Clemont a smile and a bow in return. "Thank you, it was a great battle." Sure he’d had type advantages, but some of those status ailments had really helped. He couldn’t honestly imagine what would’ve happened had that freeze from Blizzard not come through. But it had and Dice, like the little murderous thing that he was, had promptly smashed the Megazone to unconsciousness.
He put the items away in his bag, finding his badge case and setting the newly acquired token into place. It was pretty amazing to look at; in the course of a few days Sebastian had manage to bring the total number of badges he had to ten. That was impressive in his book. With one more thank you and a wave good bye, he took the elevator back down to the bottom of the tower, starting for the pokemon center. Once his team was healed up, he’d make his way back to Lilycove, just as intended.

Alexandra doled out praise to Comet as she worked to spray him with a few potions, healing the few wounds he had with the elixir. Comet cooed in response to both and stretched his wings experimentally afterwards, flapping them twice before he took flight just long enough to take perch on his trainer's shoulder. Glad for the extra company, she allowed him to stay, then gave an absent glance back to check the departure time of the next Sinnoh train. It wouldn't be here for another half hour, which gave her just enough time to train her pokemon.
It didn't take long for their next opponent to appear, a pink avian-like pokemon who stared out at the group with a curious gaze. Just like Skiddo the pokemon was adorable in its appearance but, alas, its looks would not save it-- after her pokedex blurted out that the pokemon was known as Spritzee, and that it was a fairy-type, Alexandra gestured for Xion to take on the pokemon then watched, only wincing afterwards, as the Venus Flytrap-esque pokemon greeted the other with an Iron Head to the face.

The battle was over in a flash--Alexandra wasn't even sure if it'd taken a full minute--which left the group plenty of time afterwards to find yet another pokemon to battle. In an effort not to crowd up the train station Alexandra moved off to the side and away from the general crowd and most common area where people gathered. But, before she got too caught up in battling, the young woman made certain to buy herself a ticket to the next train leaving out for Sinnoh. Once that was done she gave her pokemon the chance to seek out battles themselves, just as long as they remained within sight and chose their opponents wisely-- it was a good chance as any to try and instill a bit of independence in her poekmon, not to mention it tested their decision-making skills. All in all, it was good for everyone.

Stepping back out into the open world, Sebastian took a moment to get his bearings before deciding what to do next. He’d just healed up his team at the pokemon center and now it was time to head on his way to Lilycove just as planned. Taking a seat, he double checked the trek he’d have to take to get back. A walk up to Coumarine and hop into a ferry back to Lilycove. He really needed to invest in a flying type that could carry him to make these kind of trips shorter but for now, until at least Shuffle evolved, he’d have to go by foot.
Adjusting his team, he started on his way, finding the gate that’d led to Coumarine City. Hopefully he’d be back in Lilycove in just a few hours, assuming nothing crazy happened on the boat ride over. He shivered, remembering the surfing ride to Cianwood City. Bluh… that had been difficult. He shook it off though; now was not the time to worry about that.

With her pokemon out and about it wasn't long until Alexandra attracted the attention of a trainer, a bright purple-haired male who waltzed up to the brunette with a bit of swagger. "'Sup girl," he drawled, slipping his left hand into his pocket before he leaned back on his back foot. "Your pokemon look pretty strong." Alexandra turned to the other male, her eyebrow quirking as she scrutinized him. "Hello," she replied slowly while Comet chirped a greeting. "Thank you. Is there something you needed?" The male smirked before he nodded, one hand combing its way through his hair. "Sure can. What would you say to a battle between the two of us? I'm lookin' for ways to pass the time." Alexandra thought for a moment, her head turning back so that she could look at the two other pokemon she had out with he. "That would be fine."
The male chuckled and gave a nod before he motioned for Alexandra to follow him, leading her to a spacious area appropriate for their oncoming battle. He stretched himself out, rolled his shoulders, and then throw out his first pokemon, a pokemon that Alexandra was all too familiar with. She waited for the hailstorm that usually came with a Snover's appearance, her left hand griping the edge of her dress in preparation, only to have... nothing occur. The male, noticing Alexandra's reaction, only chuckled and shook his head, "sorry to disappoint. This little guy right here won't be whipping up any hailstorms anytime soon; got him special." The brunette nodded, warily, before she turned to look at Comet and wordlessly signal for him to take the field. Both pokemon had an advantage over the other, so this would be a battle that tested their strength and choice of moves.

Alexandra extended her arm out as a perch as Comet returned to her, battered and bruised but still kicking. Ice still frosted the tips of his wings and the Staravia gave a tired coo before he was returned, it'd been a tough battle and the avian-like pokemon deserved a rest. Sully made a face as he returned his own pokemon, though was quick to send out his next pokemon. It took a moment of thought before Alexandra ushered Xion forward, the dual fairy and steel type scuttling eagerly onto the battle field.

Xion cheered for herself after she'd rendered Sully's Jigglypuff's unconscious, throwing both her arms into the air with her excitement. Alexandra chuckled, though remained respectful by assuring that her merriment was internal. Although she was proud of her pokemon's victory, it was the fact that she'd managed to come so far out of her shell that had her so giddy. Not too long ago the pokemon had been afraid to even interact with anyone else, that... was still true, but now Xion found some enjoyment in battling. It was that joy that kept Xion in the next battle, though it also helped that she held a type advantage over the Nosepass Sully sent out.
